The food wasn't anything special, but it was very good and arrived quickly. The service was always friendly and attentive. The ambiance was very nice and creative.

It's a great place in general. The music was just too loud for me. It was difficult to have a conversation at the table. Personally, I found it too loud for a restaurant.

The quality of the meat has dropped dramatically. I've been eating there for over five years, and this year was disappointing. The service was excellent as always.

We specifically went to this place because “find me gluten free” had ratings of this place to have gluten free buns and fries. They did not. After asking twice if the fries were gluten free, and then saying they were, even though I asked if they were done in a seperate fryer than other items, we checked a third time before biting into them and they then said they were in a shared fryer. I think if I went in knowing that I would have just a piece of beef with lettuce pieces and cheese for dinner, I would have chosen a different option, or place but this place showed up as having fries and buns. So, if you are celiac, I would not recommend - it’s not worth the price. If you are just wanting gluten friendly then the food looked great. On a side note, they took the fries off our bill- so service is good, And atmosphere was super cool.

The service is friendly and the kitchen is competent, but I would recommend never buying a beef burger here, especially for the price. These aren't burgers made by the kitchen, but rather mass-purchased, refrigerated burger meat patties that aren't even legally allowed to be cooked until red. The quality of the meat is reminiscent of McDonald's. The rest of the food is good, though, and according to my partner, the vegan burger was pretty good too.

Super chilled atmosphere, delicious food. Not crowded on our Sunday evening. But be sure to allow plenty of time to find a parking space.

Burgers and fries were OK, but not satisfying.

Strange behavior. You sit outside for 25 minutes waiting for service. After you decide to leave, a young lady comes over, straightens the benches, and folds the blanket. No thanks!

Generally, everything was fine, but unfortunately, there was only one server for the entire restaurant, which meant everything took an extremely long time. The server did her best, but I felt very sorry for her being put under so much stress. Better staffing would be very important here!

The food is good, but the calculations were completely wrong. You have to specify that you want a set menu, otherwise the waiters will charge you separately, which would be much more expensive. The food was very good, though, and we barely had to wait.

Hans im Glück did not disappoint! The highlight of our meal was definitely Omas Geheimnis, a decadent cake with creamy goodness and ice cream. The fries and onion rings were crispy perfection, and the burger was a satisfying treat.

The food is quite good; you know in advance that the burgers, for example, are frozen patties, so I don't rate it negatively. However, given the quality of the products (fast food), the price-performance ratio isn't quite right. The cocktails and drinks are very appealing. The ambiance is very nice and harmonious. The service could definitely be improved. Very inattentive and disorganized. The place was at most 30-40% full on a Friday evening, and the staff didn't think it necessary to repeat drink orders. We then ordered drinks at the bar several times. On top of that, the drinks were delivered incorrectly. I had the feeling that they were all student assistants with little to no experience in the catering industry. Conclusion: Recommended for an occasional meeting with friends due to the pleasant ambiance.

Every few months we go there to eat with our group of friends and it's always delicious. Good portions, juicy burgers and incredibly good cocktails. Service super friendly and fast, nice to be there every time :)

The ambience is the well-known HANS IM GLÜCK concept and is therefore very inviting. The service was very friendly. And the SMASH burgers are absolutely great.

Selten so dermaßen gute Burger gegessen! Und dass die Getränke in Glasflaschen sind fanden wir auch sehr positiv. Einzig die leider sehr laut eingestellte Clubmusik war anstrengend, da wir uns ein wenig anschreien mussten um uns zu unterhalten. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder dort essen gehen!

Mega burgers and fries, best of all: meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians can eat together here, everything is clearly excellent. Highly recommended, card payment possible. Due to the location only a few parking spaces.

There were two of us and we had the Hippe Bowl, a mixed fries, and a spritzer or a light beer. We got a seat quickly for a Friday evening, and the service was good. The food and drinks were good; everything was perfect.

Delicious burgers at a fair price. There were also various lunch or menu offerings. As I said, the burgers were really tasty and were prepared quickly. The service was good and friendly. The ambience is actually quite cozy and attractive. However, the seating is a bit cramped and uncomfortable.

Loved it, food was fantastic, servers were fantastic, very enthusiastic nice people. The atmosphere was also very good, only little point was the chairs didn't have a backrest. Which is a bit uncomfortable for people with back problems, but overall had nothing to do with the food which was delicious!

Great place, nice atmosphere and very good for. Unfortunately we had to wait very long time and it was not busy. At lunchpauze only 3 tables. We had to wait for more than 30 minutes bedore the food came. People walk in later had their food in 5 minutes . Taste was very good. Would be nice if they offered a drink or gold us. We had to eat quick before returning to the station.

So overrated!!! Egal ob Mc Donalds, KFC und sogar Burger King ist besser als dieses Restaurant. Die Bedingung kam zu unserem Leid erst viel zu spät und wir mussten bei einem nicht vollen Restaurant sehr lange auf unser Essen warten. Das Essen ist qualitativ zu bemängeln. Es wird kalt serviert und wird dem Preis nicht gerecht. Wer zahlt für eine kleine Pommes schon 6€?

Update: numerous new burger creations for every taste and budget. This time I decided on a bowl. Since the waitress couldn't explain the difference between a salad and a bowl, I took the bowl and have to say that I'm thrilled. I received well-washed salad with at least 10 toppings, fresh, tasty and delicious. The benches and the washrooms look very worn, I would like to see them repaired soon, but for the delicious food I am increasing my previous rating to 5 stars. Thanks. Old: Nicely furnished restaurant with decorative birch trunks and burgers to puzzle together yourself or already put together combinations and delicious, unusual drinks. Our service was super nice and quick.

For me it is one of the most beautiful locations in Essen Rüttenscheid, extremely friendly staff and super delicious food, I have been there so many times and will always come back.

Great burger shop in Rüttenscheid. Food was very tasty and the ambience was very well done. The only detraction was the service. The ladies that evening were a bit slow and unfortunately didn't ask for new drinks when the glasses were empty. After actively asking, the waiting time was relatively long, even though I was sitting right near the counter. The place wasn't full either.

Wir waren an einem Sonntag Abend während der Eröffnung derLichterwochen im Lokal. Obwohl das Restaurant nur zu 75 % belegt war, kam die Bedienung erst nach 23 Minuten an unseren Tisch. Wir bestellten das Abendmenü und erhielten einen lauwarmen Burger und kalte Pommes. Dafür war der Cocktail mit sehr sehr viel Eis bestückt , Systemgastronomie geht besser. Wir empfehlen Mc Donald. Das geht schneller, freundlicher, heißer und sehr viel preiswerter!

Después de esperar una hora la comida, sirvieron 4 mesas que llegaron después que la nuestra. Cuando nos quejamos, el camarero se puso a la defensiva y dijo que todo el mundo había tenido que esperar. Tuvimos que pedirle en varias ocasiones que trajeran la comida y se negaron ha hacerlo hasta 15 minutos más tarde. Cuando dijimos que deberían compensarnos por la espera, amenazaron con llamar a la policía si nos íbamos sin pagar (cosa que en ningún momento dijimos hacer). El servicio totalmente espantoso y la comida, para colmo, mediocre que hamburguesas demasiado hechas y frías cuando llegaron. Nada recomendable.

A young, lively, friendly, cheap restaurant on the pedestrian street near the Essen market district. Their hamburgers are excellent, the atmosphere is direct, the service is fast, very responsive and polite.

Wir waren vor einer Veranstaltung in der Grugahalle, hier essen. Wir hatten vier verschiedene Burger, die alle samt super lecker waren. Mit dem Menü Angebot +8,50 € für ein Kalt und ein Warmgetränk zusätzlich Pommes Frites, war das Angebot super. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir empfehlen vorab zu reservieren, da man sonst keinen Tisch bekommt.
