The food was super tasty and the selection of vegan and vegetarian food is simply great. Even the little children were thrilled and, as we all know, they can sometimes be very picky. The children particularly liked the swing seats right next to the table. No boring chair to sit on. There was almost no need to bring any toys at the table. There was even something to paint and everyone was happy. This meant that the adults could enjoy their meal with some peace and quiet. Not always so easy with small children. We'd love to come back.

I was here with a friend this afternoon, and we opted for the lunch menu! We had a burger with fries and a cold and hot drink at a really good price. They always have a variety of sauces right on the table – great. We waited about 20 minutes for our food; the burger was delicious, and the fries were just what you'd expect: hot, crispy, and well-salted! The service was excellent! We'll definitely be back!

Complete disappointment. We arrived there with high expectations and were very disappointed! We arrived at around 9 p.m. Large areas were not available, so we didn't get our preferred seat. We accepted this without comment (clarification to follow). We placed our order at around 9:10 p.m., and the food was served over half an hour later. Both dishes were COLD! The burger was cold, the fries were cold, and the chicken was COLD. How can they serve it like that? But here comes the thing: we weren't even halfway through when the waiters started cleaning up the place... we thought, what's going on? When we asked, we were told we close at 10 p.m. What a disgrace! If you close at 10 p.m., at least you make the guest aware of it at 9:10 p.m.! And then the guest has the opportunity to decide whether they want to "gorge" in the shortest possible time or not! Especially since the preparation took so long. I can't stop being amazed. This is an outrage, a disrespect. The areas where we weren't allowed to sit had already been prepared for closing time, we then realized. We "dined" for about 67 euros with two people. Payment should have been refused for such a service. This way, you may make some money, but you lose a lot more. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

Went there spontaneously today with a friend. Had the lunch menu. Food was very tasty, drinks were also very good. We were served by Johannes. Very nice, friendly and also fun to have. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Hans im Glück has always been a good place to go for dinner, but we were very disappointed during our visit today. The seating, which has always been very simple, has a lot of stains, which of course reduces the comfort. We then had to order the food online via the platform, although unfortunately there was no order confirmation and it was unclear whether the order had even worked. Unfortunately, there was no one around for 10 minutes to ask. The drinks only arrived after 30 minutes and the food after 45. The cocoa that was ordered with lunch also took 30 minutes and three requests to finally arrive, and not even the powder was properly dissolved. Overall disappointing service.

We waited 40 minutes for the order. We called the employee three times and he didn't care at all. They even treated us badly when we said we would leave without ordering. Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible quality. Visit this restaurant to turn a good day into a bad one. You can't even walk past. 0 point

When I went in, the waiter looked at my colleague and shook his head. After waiting for 20 minutes and trying to speak to the waiter mentioned, we were ignored and not served, so we all went out again and went to a friendlier shop

The food was very tasty but we waited 30 minutes for the drinks and 45 minutes for the food. Unfortunately, the benches were also dirty and ordering them online didn't work well.

Overall, a good restaurant with tasty, attractively served food and decent portions. However, the tables are quite narrow, which can be a bit uncomfortable at 1.90 m. The space on the table is also limited. Rather expensive in price.

We were there last Saturday. After we ordered the food, we waited over 35 minutes for our drink and then another 10 minutes for our food. The portion of fries for 4.50 euros was very meager (I actually counted them, 31 fries). They were also cold. I also found the burger for 8.50 overpriced. A slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a slice of onion. This was also cold, if we hadn't been so hungry I would have left everything and not paid. Sorry, the kitchen definitely needs to change something here. It was cold in the restaurant at the time. Me and other guests put on their jackets. This has nothing to do with comfort.

We stood in front of the store for 20 minutes despite a reservation. The order was placed using the QR code. Here you would think that no mistakes would happen. But that is not the case. Ordered the classic burger with chicken instead of beef, called the waiter to ask if it worked that way, and the answer was yes. Food arrives and instead of salad there were fries, which is quick and easy. But now the burger came with beef instead of chicken. Annoying! We specified extra chicken using the comment function and also informed the waitress. 3 people were allowed to eat, 1 person was allowed to wait and watch us eat. After we were finally finished, the last burger arrived, this time with chicken but cold fries! Hunger drives it down. According to the menu, after the meal it was time for a hot drink. So I called the waitress using the QR code and called the waitress a second time after 10 minutes because no one came. Even after 20 minutes there was still no service, but the store wasn't more than half full. Ultimately we had to go to the waiter and speak to him. Order for hot drinks was placed with a request for the bill. 5 minutes later the bill came and we asked what drinks we had ordered because they had been forgotten. Not once was there an apology for the mistakes made. New name suggestion: Hans in Misfortune

Waited over an hour for food even though it wasn't overly busy. It's okay that you won't be served faster if you have children - but it's difficult to convey that it's significantly slower than other guests. Fries were already cold when served. Last but not least: Offer not redeemable because staff booked something incorrectly. Positive: great burger & nice ambience

Delicious burgers, delicious cocktails and other drinks, really relaxed, cozy atmosphere, nice staff, quick preparation and normal prices - the positive thing is especially the delicious sauces at every table, which means you have enough for your fries and not just a small bag - recommended!

The two of us had lunch at HANS IM GLÜCK in Dortmund today and were very satisfied. The lunch menu offers a great selection and the price-performance ratio convinced us. The burgers were fresh and tasty, and the side dishes were great. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a pleasant atmosphere and a successful lunch. We'd love to come back

Unfortunately, this location is getting old and you can't look at the benches too closely. The sweet potato fries were somehow limp and the burger wasn't quite as warm. The service staff was very friendly!

Food is reasonably priced and not really the real deal. Yes, a step higher than other system gastro shops and even 2 steps higher in terms of ambience. Compared to the golden M or the king. A super dedicated waitress was responsible for our tables. All in all a nice evening. But for the money you “have” to take a trip to Brückstrasse to get your fill.

We really enjoy coming by regularly. The vegan menu is really big and all the sauces are vegan too. The sauces for the fries are available directly at the table, so you are not limited to a small portion.

The ambience is nice, but it was very quick to get there and I find seating with a backrest more pleasant, hence only 3 stars

The children's chair that was provided to us was very rickety and a screw almost fell out. The food was tasty but cold for 2 out of 6 people. The toilets for both genders were dirty and the floor was sticky. The service was friendly, but also seemed a bit confused. The ambience was very nice, but the place to sit was quite uncomfortable and there was hardly any room to get up.

A modestly long wait for the food, over an hour

Unfortunately we can only agree with the previous reviews, we waited forever until someone came, our waiter was very rushed and didn't give us a warm welcome at all. Only a few tables were occupied. Then the wrong food came, followed by the right one, but burgers were cold and tasteless, just frozen products. Still hefty prices for McD… quality and mass-produced atmosphere. Also quite dirty toilet. Really the killer for every date to whom something like this happens. Conclusion: Either real fast food for less money, or any other burger shop/restaurant that offers better service and tastes better for the price.

After waiting for an hour including asking twice, we had to leave hungry because we still had an appointment to attend.

Took my six year old here for lunch as he is currently in a "burger" phase. The restaurant's set up is very cosy with trees everywhere and there is a lot of seating available. It's a bit tricky to find the bar in this forest to be seated. There are all sorts of table set ups and seatings including swing sets. Menus are on the table but the order is done through an QR code. This was a bit annoying as I had to turn on mobile data whilst roaming as the restaurant didn't offer WiFi. The QR menu and order page is a bit clunky too. Tip: find your meal in the menus on the table and then search for the item on the app..otherwise you scroll forever. The menu has pretty much everything: burger in all varieties, with chicken, meat, veggie and vegan. There are bowls and salads as well plus meal deals and sides. For kids there is a separate section. Once ordered the drinks and food arrived reasonably quick which was good. Staff by the way are super friendly. The burger is fine. I had a spicy one with brioche bread and my nephew had the classic for kids which came with chips. I ordered a side of chips. Tip: don't order extra sauce as they are available for free on the table. Unless you want something special. There is nothing exciting about it, but it's also not the worst burger I ever had. It's probably still better than a fast food chain burger which would cost the same. At the end of the meal you can choose to pay through the QR code again or with one of the staff, particularly if you want to pay cash. I chose the QR code option and paid with Gpay. Note they don't accept Amex. But you can split bills even through the app which I thought was great. Wouldn't rush back here but also not opposed to take my nephew again as he loved it.

I have no idea, I only entered a qeg description because we were in Dortmund at a vocational school for our son's final exam, who unfortunately failed again. Why not keep practicing and then finally pass the vocational school here in Lippstadt in June 2025.😊👍

Recently I was there with my father and we immediately noticed the stained benches. The basic aim of a restaurant should be to welcome guests with well-kept furniture. The staff took a while to arrive and private clothing always seems unprofessional. The generally more and more widespread Geduze is also practiced here. The (cold) burgers showed from the dry and sweaty cheese that it must have been on the patty a long time beforehand. I cannot recommend this restaurant and the prices are not justified given the shortcomings.

I think the Hans im Glück burger chain is great anyway. Personally, I have always been able to get a seat in every branch, even without a reservation. The burger was also great here. The drinks too. The only drawback, as in the other branches, is the uncomfortableness of the benches/chairs, etc. as there is no backrest and you sit on hard wood and there are only a few cushions available. Definitely in need of improvement. However, in the Dortmund branch I have to add that we had to wait a long time for the drinks. I had to let them know before they arrived and the burgers were still almost eaten! I found Hans im Glück in Recklinghausen or Bochum better! Nevertheless, the food is always great.

Were here while visiting the Christmas market. The staff was nice and quick too. However, I found the place itself very dirty. The dark seat cushions, The ones that were on all the benches (there are only benches) all had lots of stains. It would also be good to sweep every now and then, the stairs to the toilets were also very dirty. About the food itself: the burger was very dry and had no spicy taste. My last visit to this chain.

Considering that the service was severely understaffed today, I think the guys did a great job. I can't understand people who rate the store poorly for this reason. The food was great and I can only recommend it.

We visited today at lunchtime (Sunday 1:15 p.m.). The restaurant was a good third full. The service staff tried hard, but it quickly became apparent that there was none. Either the guests had already eaten or, like us, waited an eternity for the burgers. After 50 minutes the first burgers arrived, some of which were already cold. Hot fries arrived 10 minutes later. Not only were the burgers cold, some of the braised onions were also burnt. The service staff accommodated us with the bill and apologized for the poor staff planning in the kitchen due to our request. The fact that there is only one cook at lunchtime, with a restaurant right in front of the Dortmund Christmas market, is really unbelievable and for me a reason to avoid Hans im Glück in the future. The existing staff bears no responsibility for this.

Very tasty food. Very friendly but firm service. Very cool atmosphere. The only thing I personally didn't like was the amount of ice in the drink and the cold water in the toilets. Therefore there are only 4 stars overall.

Had a very nice experience in the heart of Dortmund. After we were taken to our seat, people soon came to help us, less than 5 minutes later the drinks were ready and not much later the food. The service was fantastic, the food itself was good for the price we paid, but you shouldn't expect much from it. The atmosphere is very nice in the restaurant, nice background music and nice decoration.

The ambience is very nice with the birch trees and swings, the service was very friendly but when the burger came we were disappointed, it was small for almost 12 euros and the potato chips were 2 chips on the burger...if you're really hungry you have to spend more money...it's a shame it tastes pretty good

We were here for lunch and took the lunch menu. We were able to choose a burger, fries, a cold and a warm drink and found the price very fair. The burger was tasty and the atmosphere was relaxed since there weren't that many people in the store at the time.

If I treat myself to hamburgers, then definitely only at "Hans im Glück - Burgergrill" (I've been to several cities and have never been disappointed). The burgers are good quality and - at least for me - also rich enough 😄 ... sweet potato fries as a side dish and one of the homemade drinks - fits! The birch trunks in the restaurants create the typical Hans-im-Glück atmosphere.

For us it is a "must" every time we pass through the center of Dortmund. The design of the restaurant, its peaceful atmosphere, combined with the good food, always make us feel welcome. The kinder menu is also excellent.

Great restaurant, quick (good with children) and consistently great quality food. Service could be a bit more child-friendly (sometimes there's something for the kids to paint, sometimes they're not even greeted). But we always enjoy going there!

Die Location ist wie man es kennt von Hans im Glück besonders. Da gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Allerdings ist man zum Essen hier. Ich fasse mich kurz: der Burger war trocken und kalt. Nuggets und Pommes waren kalt. Eine Schale Pommes wurde zu viel geliefert. Mein Kind ist auf der Toilette ausgerutscht, auf den Rücken und Hinterkopf geschlagen weil alles nass war vorm Waschbecken. Ich hatte einen Salat der nicht überragend aber durchaus gut war. Nach 30 min hatte ich starke Bauchkrämpfe und Durchfall. Für alle die nach meiner und einigen anderen Rezessionen trotzdem einkehren wünsche ich viel Glück.

It's very hyped right now, but totally overrated. Quite expensive for a better chip shop. Just because they have cocktails doesn't mean it's a good place. The service was nice, two burgers and 2 fries with 2 cocktails cost just under €40. It was only thanks to an app that we only had to pay for one menu. After just under 30 minutes the bag can...

E' anche un bar con un'offerta di cocktail piuttosto vasta. Personale gentile, servizio un pò lento per la scarsità di camerieri in proporzione alla quantità di clienti. Prezzi in linea con la qualità dei cibi che troverete nel piatto.

The food is always super tasty and fresh. The service staff are in a good mood and are available to help and advise if you have any questions. The only drawback is that the chairs do not have backrests and that is not comfortable in the long term.

WOW! You can have a good time here! Food of a high standard, also a pleasure for the eye! The service is professional and courteous. The entire design is a highlight, including the toilets. But there is one complaint: the seat coverings look grubby and need to be replaced!
