THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER!

An institution in Berlin. If you want to get your fill at a fair price, this is absolutely the right place for you. An absolute recommendation for the quantity and quality of the dishes.

Soup a bit bland, rice dish very good. Prices very good. Piecework for the workforce. Smiling forbidden?

Very small restaurant, we sat outside and it was very pleasant and relaxed. The menu only has a small selection, so all dishes were reserved in record time. And that even though there was a real rush. I had a soup that tasted fantastic 👍 all dishes can also be served vegetarian upon request. The prices are absolutely okay, so I can happily recommend a visit.

Well, lots of nice reviews here...but how cheap are you even if you allow yourself to be treated very badly in order to save a few euros...No matter how the food tastes, if you are treated like a traffic light man it's such a shop an absolute no-go... asked an employee for the food menu, he looked very annoyed and disappeared into the store. Super tasty food and you really can't complain about the price! :) Unfortunately I can't give a star for the service. Super unfriendly and annoyed service, she rolled her eyes when asked and there was no “thank you” for the tip, only the change was thrown on the table. It's really a shame that the service staff takes such a liking to the visitors, bad moods can happen, but I found the behavior absolutely brazen, and unfortunately there was no politeness or hospitality at all.

fast service, simple and delicious food, good value for money. Nice non-alcoholic drinks, in summer I recommend their watermelon shake (they’ll do it without sugar if you ask)

The real deal. Fast service and food that speaks for itself, one of the best beef pho’s I’ve ever had! Very popular spot and with good reason.

The tastiest and richest food in the world for 6.90, that is simply unsurpassed. Also to take away. The term fast food takes on a new meaning: you can't get your food faster anywhere. Best value for money in the city. I could eat it every week.

Let me assure you this is best 6.90 you will spend in your life in Germany. This place is a religion. Incredible flavors at a cheap price. Uncomplicated, fast service. Pure food. I keep coming back again and again.

We have been here many times over the years, but unfortunately this last visit was disappointing: we ordered 2 different pho dishes but both were tasteless. We cannot eat them. When we explained the issue to the waiter, he told us that it tasted fine. At the end we only paid for one dish, so quite fair. It is a shame because we always enjoyed this place in the past.

This place is a blessing for Berlin — especially in this economy. Great taste, great prices, great portions.

The food [glass noodle salad] was very tasty. But unfortunately there were two pebbles in the sauce that almost destroyed my teeth. So watch out!

The food is very, very tasty and really cheap for what you get. The food came in less than 3 minutes! Highly recommended. (But maybe not suitable for people who don't like spicy food)

ATTENTION ⚠️ we have meat in the vegetarian food ‼️⚠️actually we have ordered here regularly for over 15 years and it has always been delicious. However, it has happened several times now that a vegetarian dish was made with chicken instead of tofu. same today. We ordered the vegetarian children's menu with rice noodles and broth 4 times, so far everything was fine. The waitress brought the food and then asked me if I ordered chicken or tofu. I specifically said I wanted tofu beforehand, so she apologized since they had made the meal with chicken and went back inside. She came out after just 2-3 minutes, even though the store was packed. I was happy about the good service and went home. only to find, among other things, large pieces of chicken in ALL 4 dishes ‼️ apparently they just roughly picked the chicken out with their hands and then put tofu in it. I'm vegetarian! and wonder how something like this can happen. Not only do they not remake the dish (that's not possible!), but I also wonder how messily one has to work to miss such large pieces of chicken! That's really not okay. Also, while reading through the reviews, I noticed that none of the "vegetarian" dishes are actually vegetarian, as they use either fish sauce or chicken broth in the food. It's a real shame because we really enjoyed going there, and it's completely impossible anyway!!

Accidentally bumped into this restaurant and were gladly surprised. Very cheap, authentic Vietnamese food and the service is very efficient. CASH ONLY.

I love this place! It’s very smart. It’s possible to change the meat ingredients and take tofu if needed. Price is low, you can eat approximately with 12€. Cash only.

Food tastes excellent, great spice combinations and an absolutely unbeatable price if you order the daily specials/drinks😍👍🏼 unfortunately there are a few seating options for the company and unfortunately it is also dirty.

Unfortunately, contrary to all the reviews here, the bistro is an imposition. The food was almost inedibly seasoned and some of the ingredients smelled spoiled. The hygiene is the most disappointing thing and the staff is unfriendly and anti-social. I had to visit the restaurant a few times for a team meeting, but the more I was there, the worse it got, I felt. I wouldn't give any stars if I could, but unfortunately that's not possible. Oh yes, dear parents, Bistro Hamy is also incredibly child-unfriendly and absolutely unsuitable for eating there with a child or children. I'm a chef myself and I always try to find something good about a restaurant or bistro, but unfortunately here you'll be extremely disappointed in all areas.

Nach über zwei Jahren waren wir mal wieder bei unserem Lieblingsvietnamesen überhaupt. Wie immer ein Geschmackserlebnis. Unserer Meinung nach her hat sich die hohe Qualität kein bisschen verschlechtert. Einfach nur top. Dazu ein super schneller Service mit der gewissen hamy Kälte. Alle Hauptgerichte um die 6,5€. Nach wie vor einmaliger Preis.

Nichts los, trotzdem lange draußen auf eine Bedienung gewartet - irgendwann rein gegangen, um Getränke zu bestellen - es wurde nur auf den halb leeren Kühlschrank mit to-go Getränken gedeutet; man möge sich doch bitte selbst was herausnehemen (und bitte gleich bezahlen). Unmöglich. Quasi wie im Späti, bloß mit deutlich höheren Preisen.

Ordered vegetarian wontons and had meat in my mouth. I have been a vegetarian for 20 years... Unfortunately it was also available for takeaway and I couldn't complain about it again.

The food is really delicious, service was fast, not that friendly. Price to the value and quality you get is fantastic. Tables are shared with everyone, so you expect to sit with a stranger, but that’s lovely anyways.

Food is terrible, even for the cheap price. The broth is blend and the meat dry and tasteless. But the service is the worst. They are shouting at eachother. Servers getting pissed at you for no reason and then when you don’t give a tip because of this, they start getting even more annoyed. Don’t go here.

The food was very tasty. I had a mixed bowl with rice and a lot of veggies. They have a little ice cream bar at the entrance. So you can pick some dessert on the way out. It seems like the restaurant is newly opened. I think they could rearrange the lounge at the window to improve the atmosphere, especially by removing the computers.

As already mentioned in the previous reviews. This place is incredibly rude and impolite. I don't even want to mention the dirt in the store. When we wanted to have our food packed, the waitress literally threw the empty box on the table so that I could take care of it myself. When she was asked about it, she became rude and said she had more important things to do (in broken German). The other employees formed a circle around us because we didn't want to pay for this service. The problem actually started as soon as we entered this store, as we were neither greeted nor treated in any kind of nice way. Unfortunately, all employees, without exception, are a very bad kind of people. You won't find a single friendly face here. This has been known for years I will never enter this disgusting shop again.

It's cheap and good food place. They have small menu for food, limited options for vegetarian. Hardly 2 options for vegetarian.. Portion size is big for 6 euros

waiter asked if i wanted to add a tip when paying in cash? tips are called gratuity because they are given freely not asked for. this behavior is rude and inappropriate.

A real insider tip: a Vietnamese restaurant in Berlin. You can get super cheap food here for a very small price. It's super delicious. The choice is of course limited to two dishes per day, but both dishes are always excellent. The dishes are available either with meat or vegetarian. A visit is particularly worthwhile if you want to enjoy the inexpensive cuisine.

The food tastes fresh and good at a fantastically good price, but there is little variation.

Update- Got take out and found a large metal piece of hardware in the curry. Not thrilled.

I have been visiting Hammy Cafe so many times over last 10 years or so and it’s always fantastic. Very fresh and tasty, prices are good, one of my favorite places in Berlin to get a good meal.

A really bad juice shop! I called them by phone and wanted to order chicken curry twice to pick up, but the little man on the phone told me that this wasn't possible and that I should drive there and order on the spot.. what nonsense. I then asked if they still had chicken because I wanted to eat it with my wife and he said yes on the phone. When I got there after 6/7 minutes he said there was only tofu left and I was out of luck... What the hell?! When he told him that I called 6/7 minutes ago and there was chicken, he said that I was unlucky and should eat tofu?! So disrespectful to then say that I should go out and eat somewhere else so after 4 years of being a customer I'll never go there again! First learn the German language you strange Vietnamese!!!

Such a crazy shop! I ordered tofu and got chicken! When I got home and wanted to eat it with my wife (both vegetarian) I saw that there was chicken inside. I called, then they told me that they were out of tofu, so they packed me chicken and then extra with lots of chicken!! Such a disaster!! never again!! They just want money and money.. Then they were very disrespectful to me on the phone, I threw it away straight away and my €18 was gone too.. I don't get any of my money back or tofu or anything else as compensation!

From far the best Vietnam restaurant in Berlin. Everyday they have 2 specials and I don’t even look the ingredients cause I trust it with my eyes closed. All the dish are amazing. Fresh, soulful. Personnel kind and very hard working. Double the tips.

Unfortunately, my experience at Restaurant Hamy was extremely disappointing and unpleasant. We were not advised that other guests might be seated at our table, which led to an awkward encounter when the rude waitress attempted to seat other guests next to us several times without asking. When we politely declined, the waitress started an unprofessional discussion, calling us bad people and urging us to accept the situation since the food was supposedly cheap. After we asked for the bill, we had to pay in cash and were even initially left without a receipt. When we asked for the bill, she said we should go to a different restaurant next time and never come back. Then I didn't give her a tip either. S But it gets even better: then she asks everyone seriously: NO TIP? And laughs aggressively. I meant: you still ask for TIP? With this behavior? We left the store in horror. I will never visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it due to the poor service and unfriendly atmosphere.

This place deserve one of the hardest possible awards in Berlin: the rudest service ever! Worth paying 2euros more in any other Asian restaurant to avoid being insulted by the waiter

The food was really good (although there weren't too many options), a pity that the service was so lousy. There was a short waiter with dyed blonde hair who looked down on us all the time. When it was time to pay, he didn't think the tip was enough and threw it on the table with contempt.

Super delicious, I liked the chicken one better. Place a little hectic but tables outside. Good place to eat before or after seeing the airport park or the farm.

BEWARE Vegans & Vegetarians: there are no options for you!! Everything is made with fish sauce or meat broth! even if you ask them nicely to make it without that, they will refuse and get very aggressive! So none of the ‘vegetarian’ options on the menu are actually vegetarian. Forget it if you’re vegan…. Extremely popular and always full - I don't really know why. Only the same 3-4 dishes for many years (OK, they're still tasty), and the portions aren't enough to fill you up. But OK, overall.
