Great atmosphere, but catering dishes don't taste right

I can't rate the room because we were only in the small hall for a Christmas party. One service person was a bit overwhelmed and seemed very stressed, but the others were on their toes. The food was great, as was the ambience. Unfortunately the toilets were extremely cold, both in the room and the water. Towards the end of the event it was quite drafty in the hall, so I was freezing.

Absolutely recommended!!! A great location, great service. The food is simply great. We were there with 7 people and everyone was thrilled. We'll definitely be back.

This is a very clocky place, in keeping with the surroundings. A very friendly staff that fulfills the guest's wishes. The food is highly recommended. I found it “to the point” with an entree, matching wine and a delicious dessert. Must be on your notepad.

We were thrilled! The food was great, there is a large selection of home-style cuisine, very tasty roasts etc. and seasonally adapted dishes, now some dishes with chanterelles. There is also a lot for vegetarians, there was even a vegan dish on the menu. The service was great, super friendly and fast, prices reasonable. Also high quality desserts. It's definitely not the last time we've been here and with the quiet location and beautiful outdoor area, this is an inn we'd love to come to.

Recommended in every respect! For my grandma's 90th birthday, no effort is too big for the owners. The menu discussion took place warmly, competently and very personably. We were on the way to the Summer Night Festival in Bayreuth by bus when the heavens opened and we were looking for a way to bridge the gap. The Hallermühle took us (40 people) in at short notice. On top of that, everyone got delicious food. Thank you very much, that was a rescue from necessity. In this day and age, it's anything but a given that a host and staff would face such a challenge. Thank you thank you thank you, everyone was more than satisfied. When the rain subsided, everyone was well fed and happy and was able to attend the wonderful summer night festival.

A super authentic location. We celebrated a wonderful wedding with our families and friends. Everything was fine. Any time again, even without a wedding celebration. 😉 My recommendation is to reserve well in advance.

Very good food, very good service, plenty of parking, the rooms should also be nice. Prices are ok. You also get dishes that are not run of the mill. Also suitable as an excursion destination, for example. Cycling tour. Has a large and beautiful beer garden. Absolutely clear recommendation!

Anyone expecting a knight's meal will be bitterly disappointed. There is absolutely nothing chivalrous about what is happening here; and the authentic Middle Ages feeling (as advertised on the website) is not there three times. However, if you want a fun evening with squeeze music and party games, you'll get your money's worth. The boys in Bavarian lederhosen put you in a great mood and lead you through lots of fun (especially drinking) games. The food was very good and a good quality vegetarian alternative was available upon request. Cutlery is rare and due to flying food particles you should probably leave your good, expensive clothes at home in the closet. My suggestion: leave the program as it is, but name the event something different. "Bavarian party evening" or "Bavarian Gaudischmauß" or something similar and please leave the "knight's meal" to the locations that want to do it in a medieval style.

After our last visit 3 months ago, we visited our favorite restaurant, the Hallermühle, again last night. You will always be warmly welcomed at the Hallermühle and treated as a valued guest. The food is top notch. Very high quality level of Franconian cuisine. As we are used to, it was an all-round successful evening in a beautiful atmosphere! Jörg and Christine, thank you very much for your hospitality. It was great again 👌

Unfortunately very disappointing. We were there for pretzel week and it wasn't a particularly nice or tasty visit. First the positive: The location itself is quite nice and the service is also okay. And now for the rest: The menu is very meat-heavy and there are very few vegetarian/vegan options. The food is very expensive and really not that special. Neither in terms of taste nor the portion. I ate the pasta with truffle sauce and it was some of the worst pasta I've ever eaten (although this dish doesn't actually require any great cooking skills). The noodles tasted like supermarket spaetzle. The portion was very small. I'm not coming back.

Went there for dinner several times. Still excited! Service, quality and despite the “hut being full” it was very quick to order and get the food to the table. Respect to the kitchen and the service staff! Always happy and absolutely recommended! It's a rarity to have freshly cooked food served so incredibly well without having to cook it yourself! But it's actually the order of the day here!

I've been able to see the whole thing up close for 10 years now. Weddings, family celebrations and hearty knights' dinners. Every event gets a personal touch and behind the scenes a lot of thought goes into how to adapt common concepts to the individual wishes of the hosts and personalize celebrations accordingly. There are no compromises when it comes to ingredients or preparation. Particularly noteworthy is the “special something”. Hardly any dish does not surprise with a special way of preparation or seasonal variations. And yet the recipes follow a note that is recognizable. If you don't like meat dishes, there is always a vegetarian or vegan dish on the menu. If that's not enough, you can simply ask for alternatives. If the kitchen and service are not particularly demanded by many guests on public holidays, the team is happy to conjure up an individual dish. The Hallermühle treats its guests in a special way. Visitors can expect professionalism as well as personal connection and honest dealings. Anyone who comes often will quickly become part of the Hallermühlen family and will find a world here that allows them to simply leave everyday life behind them.

Ochsenbäckchen mit Kartoffelstampf waren echt lecker. Aber eine Esslöffelgroße Portion Stampf für 18 Euro ist dann doch ziemlich wenig.

Wir hatten hier ein Ritteressen und das Entertainment war grandios. Der Service war auf zack. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Das ganze Angebot kann man sehr gut empfehlen.

Schönes Ambiente Der Raum, den wir für die Geburtstagsfeier belegten, ca. 25 Personen, war ein altes Kellergewölbe, mit Rundbögen, vielleicht auch ehemaliger Pferdestall? Jedenfalls sehr schön! Leckeres Essen und sehr angenehmes, freundliches Personal! 👍

Gute und bodenständige Küche. Sonderwünsche werden erfüllt, das Personal ist recht freundlich. Ein besonderer Genuss ist natürlich das Ritteressen! Eintrag im Denkmal-Atlas Bayerisches Landesamt für Denkmalpflege: Ehem. Mühle, heute Gasthaus, Mühlengebäude, zweigeschossiger Satteldachbau, Erdgeschoss Sandstein, Obergeschoss Ziegel mit reicher Sandsteingliederung, bez. 1909, im Kern älter; Nebengebäude, zweigeschossiger Walmdachbau, Sandsteingewände, innen verändert, Kern 17./18. Jh., bez. 1839.

Was soll man sagen, Personal top,nett,schnell. Gutes bzw.noch besser gesagt top Ambiente. Tolles Essen. Also für mich, immer noch unschlagbar .

Ein Traditionslokal welches sich immer noch im Familienbesitz befindet. Herr Haller und seine Frau sind hochmotiviert und versuchen die Gäste im hochwertigen Bereich zufrieden zu stellen. Die Speisekarte ist ein Spiegel des Gaumenschmauses an hochwertigen und geschmackvollen Gerichten.

Wo hat dieser Wirt nur das überaus freundliche nettes zuvorkommendes Personal Bedienungen her ?? Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, der Biergarten sehr schön , die holzstühle mit Kissen :-) jetzt zum essen : das Auge isst ja bekanntlich mit die Teller-Schalen sehr schön der innhalt war spitze hatten wild Ragout und lendchen im Kürbiskern Mantel

Waren mit dem womo unterwegs- deswegen kann ich Zimmer nicht beurteilen. Aber die fastsstätte und der wirt- ein original 😉 lecker essen zu soliden Preisen, trotz großer Feierlichkeit platt für uns und unseren Hund, nett und zuvorkommend. 👍 Wir kommen wieder !

Die Lage des Hotels hat uns sehr gefallen.Die Zimmer waren ruhig und sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und gut. Von den Angestellten wurden wir sehr freundlich bedient und versorgt.

Man wird in der Hallermühle immer freundlich begrüßt und als geschätzter Gast verwöhnt. Das Essen ist Spitze. Sehr hohes Qualitätslevel der fränkischen Küche. Ich wart schon einige male in der Hallermühle, sehr angenehmes und familiäres Hotel. Das Essen ist gut und die Gastwirte sind sehr nett. Preis-Leistung ist super, ich komme bestimmt wieder...

Ob zu einem Special Event wie Ritteressen, Knigge Kurs oder Spargel-Wein Abend, in diesem Restaurant wird man herzlich bedient. Speisen und ausgesuchte Getränke sind ein Genuss, dem man nicht widerstehen kann.

Toller Service, leckeres Essen. Heute gab es für uns das Rundum-Sorglos-Paket und wir können nach diesem schönen Abend in der Hallermühle den Stress der vergangenen Woche abschütteln und entspannt ins Wochenende starten. Danke dafür!

Leider bin ich erst sehr spät im Hotel eingetroffen und konnte mir nur einen kleinen Überblick über diese hübsch gelegene Herberge machen. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich. Es wird viel Wert auf schöne Details bei der Dekoration gelegt. Der Gastraum ist urig im holzgefertigtem Ambiente. Ebenso auch mein Zimmer in dem ich übernachtete. Dieses war angenehm groß und sauber. Das Bad ist ohne Fenster und das warme Wasser lässt schon auf sich warten. Der mobile Empfang ist hier leider komplett eingeschränkt, jedoch bietet die Pension kostenloses W-LAN. Grundsätzlich würde ich jederzeit wiederkommen.

Schon über Generationen im gleiche Familiebesitz. Super Restaurant, dass mit der Zeit geht. Vom sonntäglichen Bratenklassiker zu ausgefallenen, raffinierten Gerichten und Original Englischen Rinderfiltes lässt die Hallermühle keine Wünsche offen. Legendär sind auch die Ritteressen! Und die verschiedenen Räumlichkeiten super geeignet für jede Art von Feiern!

Wir gehen immer mal wieder zum Essen in die Hallermühle, so auch Pfingsten 2018. Die Spargelcremesuppe hat wirklich nach Spargel geschmeckt, die Gänsebrust war sehr rösch und Schweinelendchen waren zart und saftig. Der Höhepunkt war aber die Dessert Variation auf "hauseigener" Schieferschindel.

Wir waren schon einige male in der Hallermühle und werden auch auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Sehr gute Küche bei einem außerordenlich freundlichem Service. Die Hallermühle ist auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.
