My favorite restaurant in Potsdam. Authentic Japanese cuisine at affordable prices. Beautiful and cozy ambiance. Extremely friendly and attentive service. The vegan options are as delicious and innovative as anywhere else. All the homemade lemonades are fantastic, too. I hope it stays this way forever <3

Not worth it, food was sad in taste and seasoning

The noodle soup was only lukewarm. The duck rice was OK, but barely seasoned. We've had much better Japanese food.

The service was okay, good thing they warn you it's cash only. The kimchi was brilliant. But the ramen... Decent, nothing special. The meat was tasteless, the veggie ramen... So-so.

The food was really good, the drinks were also great, like the homemade lemonade, and the service was really great without any misunderstandings. A very nice place that I can highly recommend.

The menu didn't appeal to me at first, but that was deceptive. The food was fresh and very appetizingly presented. Prices were raised, especially for drinks (but unfortunately, they're almost standard these days). The back area was quiet and cozy. The front room was empty; I suspect the tables there were outside. Restrooms could be better maintained. Service was neutral, not rude, but not particularly friendly either...the good food was convincing.

Overall, it was a good place to eat, but the restrooms could use a better cleaning of cobwebs. If you like Asian food, you should definitely check it out. 🍜🍚🥟

Very tasty food, we ordered from the menu – the only drawback: certain foods weren't listed on the allergy list, even though they were included in the meal. Otherwise, the service was nice, and the homemade lemonades are also delicious!

Nice place, friendly staff, and decent ramen. I would say that there’s not that much choice if you don’t eat seafood or pork but still want somethijg meaty, and there were like 3 small pieces of vegetable in each soup. But overall, nice broths.

I had fried chicken with mango sauce. The rice, mango sauce with vegetables, and fried chicken were served individually, and watermelon was also served as a small dessert. The food was delicious, and the fried chicken was very well breaded and seasoned. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was good, and so was the atmosphere. However, all that is secondary when the waitress is rude and cheeky. She can leave her bad mood at home. Forced friendliness doesn't get anyone anywhere. We definitely won't go back.

i barely have bad experiences in restaurants but this one was very uncomfortable, the waiter spilled my whole beer and then she didn’t even brought me a new one, i needed to ask her like; hey could i get a new one cuz of that? and she reacted completely pissed about it like if it would be my fault, for me is the minimum u can do, i got all wet, bare minimum to bring one after the incident… the food tho was good.

I can only speak for the vegan dishes, but they're delicious and the quantity is great! Great value for money!

We had mango coconut and pumpkin coconut sauce with fried chicken. Unfortunately, the mango sauce was far too sweet and hardly edible. The chicken was hard to make out in the thick and hard breading. Unfortunately, it wasn't a lucky choice for us.

Delicious Asian dishes, especially ramen and bowls, are impressive. On some days it's also all-you-can-eat, with sushi and other Asian specialties.

We found this restaurant while looking for food. Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but the food was very good, nicely prepared and tasty. I can recommend it 100%.

We ate here twice. The first time we both ordered ramen (vegan and with meat). We found the food tasty, but unfortunately quite spicy and very spicy. Unfortunately we couldn't finish the broth because it was really spicy and salty for both of us. The second time we only ate miso soup each. Unfortunately it was the same here: far too salty (and we always eat very spicy food and are not squeamish when it comes to salt) and a monotonous salty taste. I really like giving good reviews. If it wasn't so salty we would like to come back, but unfortunately it wasn't for us. After the miso soup, we had to eat something neutral at home because both of our stomachs weren't feeling well :/. We would love to be able to taste the different flavors in the food, but it was completely drowned out by this sharp, salty taste. The atmosphere and the service are very nice!

Unfortunately I didn't like it at all. I didn't like the food (miso soup and gyoza), but the gyoza were quite ok. The staff was friendly, but we had to wait a long time to even be served and then it took at least half an hour more to be able to pay. At least my friend liked the pak choy.

I was visiting Potsdam and went to Hako at lunchtime. The service was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a Genmai tea and ramen (Tantan Beef Chashu with Nori)! What can I say - this was the best ramen I've eaten! Well seasoned, everything fresh, hot and simply delicious! If you love ramen, you definitely have to come here! I will definitely do it! There was also an all you can eat buffet, which also looked very good!

The food was very tasteless (Depending on how you feel about it, there were so many bean sprouts that you didn't taste anything else) the only thing that was good about the meal was the chicken.

This place is spacious and situated in a central location, making it very convenient. The staff were polite and welcoming. The food was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The overall ambiance of the place was pleasant.

It really tastes fantastic, if you want to chop off animal body parts with this absolutely crazy vegan Tantan Ramen, you haven't tried it. The dumplings are also delicious.

The ramen was a bit salty and some of the noodles were undercooked. The char siu portion was small and similar to bibigo. Regardless of whether it was friendly or unfriendly, I did not feel like I received service. Overall, it's the worst.

The price-performance ratio is really great! The ramen is very tasty and matching drinks are also available! Unfortunately not suitable for dog owners as dogs are prohibited but if you know that you can plan for it.

The restaurant looks cool, but for eating ramen it was quite dark and even though it was broad daylight outside, we felt like it was evening. It would have been nice to have some brighter lighting. The server just disappeared at one point and while there was someone at the bar out front, the person did not come to ask whether we wanted to pay. Additionally, we told the server we would like to pay and she just did not come back… About the food: I am not sure how this restaurant has gotten to 4,3 stars…I’ve eaten a lot of ramen in different countries and this is the worst I have had. While the price is completely fine, the bamboo shoots in my miso ramen were from a glass. The broth tasted really odd and not like miso at all. My boyfriend’s ramen were okay, the chashu was good but overall it was just bad. I left utterly disappointed and this was the first time, I’ve felt like leaving without finishing my food. I will not be coming again.

For the first time I was there for dinner. We wanted to try the buffet offering. Unfortunately we learned that this is only offered on weekends. Disappointed, we ordered a mango lassi because we were really looking forward to it. Less than 2 minutes later, the cancellation came. The food was delicious and plentiful. The waiters were friendly. Price - performance is right

We spontaneously went to Hako and were not disappointed! The food was fantastic! In the pictures you can see the vegan duck and the vegan crispy gyoza. The duck in particular was very good, a fantastic crispy crust and very good texture of the "meat". Great recommendation! The portions were very large and we all had our food packed. To drink we all had the Hako Special, a very good fruity and refreshing drink. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even when it got busier.

Food, ambience (too dark) and service mediocre!

My first experience trying Japanese ramen in Potsdam was somewhat disappointing. To start with, the portion size was noticeably small, leaving me unsatisfied and still a bit hungry after finishing. Considering the price, which was in line with the local dining scene, I expected something more substantial. As for the taste, while the broth and noodles were acceptable, the overall flavor was quite bland. It lacked the rich, deep flavors that one would expect from a good bowl of Japanese ramen. The toppings were quite basic as well, nothing particularly exciting or memorable, and the dish overall felt a bit one-dimensional. In terms of service, it was also just average. The staff was polite but not particularly warm or attentive, and there wasn’t much interaction or engagement throughout the meal. The service felt a bit detached, which didn’t help elevate the dining experience. All in all, it was a rather unremarkable experience. If I return to Potsdam in the future, I don’t think this place would be at the top of my list to visit again.

Asian restaurant, even have Tiger beer from Singapore. Very good Asian dishes. I enjoyed it very much and felt nostalgic again.

The service is nice. Well, you order and hardly exchange words, but yes, that's ok. The ambience is also ok, but a bit too dark and a strange light color. I think this is because all the lights shine through wooden decor. As someone who wore glasses, it was really difficult to read the map. As for food… unfortunately nothing good. The ramen had no taste and some of the ingredients were not completely cooked through. The portion was huge but unfortunately the taste wasn't good.

Not an exceptional restaurant for me. But you should avoid going to the toilet. Very unclean, dark and the toilet seat doesn't fit on the bowl. In a restaurant you should feel comfortable in a place like this.
