I haven't had such a delicious half garlic chicken in a long time. The garlic bread was also amazing. I'm not allowed to talk to anyone tomorrow. Grin. The service was super friendly. It was a bit warm inside. Make sure you make a reservation. All in all, delicious, delicious, delicious.

We had a regular chicken and a garlic chicken with fries. We went there on Friday at 11:30 p.m.

This is my second time here. The chicken is delicious, crispy, well-seasoned, and not too salty. It's always busy, so it's advisable to reserve a table in advance.

Today we had garlic chicken again with salad, fries, garlic bread, and some tzatziki. It tasted very good. The salad was plentiful and the chicken was crispy and juicy. Highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back.

Whenever we stay overnight nearby, we always eat here. We're always satisfied. Garlic chicken is my recommendation. I'll be back.

Really long wait time for the food . Waiters were almost not available to order a second drink.

We ordered food to pick up again today - unfortunately again with disappointment. Five dishes were ordered, each with fries, but only about 2-3 portions were given. There was only half a slice of garlic bread (ordered twice) in the bag, and we only received two portions of tzatziki (ordered three times). Unfortunately, we couldn't check the order exactly on site due to the large crowd, as new guests were already waiting for our table. In the end, neither the portions nor the price paid were right. Unfortunately, it's not the first time that we've made mistakes when picking up - so far there have been deviations every time. When we eat locally, we are always very satisfied - both with the quality and with the quantity. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant for take-away orders and will refrain from doing so in the future.

After a long time we went out for chicken again. Service and ambience were good as always! Unfortunately, the relationship between price and performance when it comes to food is no longer right. The chicken was okay but not exceptional - I expected a little more for the price. Paula loses her magic for me! Too bad!!!

Been here again after a long time. Still highly recommended, even if the prices for half a chicken are already at the limit. Reservation recommended.

The garlic legs are delicious, I had garlic bread and a small salad, it was also delicious. The kids had fries with chicken nuggets and weren't too impressed. According to them, the chicken schnitzel wasn't particularly special either (frozen product?). The tastes are just different or you just eat what they are known for, that's all I'm saying. I'll be back! The dog was allowed in!

Als Gruppe angemeldet und leider etwas zu spät gekommen (wurde telefonisch angemeldet), war die Begrüßung sehr flapsig („an Pünktlichkeit müssen wir wohl noch etwas arbeiten“). Das Essen war wie immer, aber die Preise wurden mal wieder erhöht (wie alle drei bis 5 Monate) Nachdem wir als Gruppe ca. 20 Schnäpse hatten und ein mehr wie großzügiges Trinkgeld gegeben haben (über 30€!!!) hat der Kellner den Betrag von sich aus nochmal „aufgerundet“. Der Räuberteller für die Kinder stand auf der Rechnung ( hätten einfach den Teller vom Knoblauchbrot behalten können… eigene Dummheit). Fazit: Trotz schönem Biergarten und nettem Ambiente: Die Hähnchenpaula übertreibt es leider und bekommt anscheinend den Hals nicht voll… Die ständigen Preiserhöhungen und der unfreundliche Kellner machen keinen Spaß. Da esse ich in Zukunft mein Hähnchen lieber z.B in Bimbach ;-) Enrico ist super nett, aber darf nur Getränke bringen ( hoffentlich bekommt er wenigsten was vom Trinkgeld ab) Und die Bediendamen geben auch ihr bestes.

Unfreundliche Bedingung mit sexistischen Sprüchen, aufdringliche Nachfrage nach Trinkgeld. Getränke werden einem fast auf den Tisch gekippt. Ein kleiner Schluck Leitungswasser für ein Baby wird auf die Rechnung gesetzt. Hinweise auf die Qualität des Essens werden zurückgewiesen.

Chicken Paula Sparbrod is probably a household name for many and if you haven't been there yet you should definitely stop by. Garlic chicken with fries is simply brilliant. Absolute recommendation after a tour in the Rhön.

The chicken was really great, really tender meat and nice crispy skin on the outside. But the whole thing has a real garlic flavor. The creamy garlic soup is recommended. It's definitely worth making a reservation

I had dinner here with my family today and thought I would have a classic portion of chicken pieces. Food was good, can't complain. I also have to say that the ambience was very nice. Prices for the food are okay, so you can't complain, but the drinks were very sporty. I first had to think about whether I even wanted to drink anything. Then I decided to order a Fanta. The waiting time was also a bit long and I didn't have the impression that it was very busy at the time. Otherwise I can't complain and can recommend it if you're hungry for chicken.🍷

Now it's no longer what it used to be, long-standing loyal guests count for nothing here.

Today we visited the “Hühnchen Paula” restaurant. Was recommended to us and did everything that was promised to us!!! Ambience rustic but very well maintained. Service 1a and very friendly. The drinks were delivered to us very quickly even though the restaurant was full... the food was amazing! The portion was sufficient and it tasted very good. Great value for money and always worth a trip!!! Team Massiv says BEST LIVES 👌🏽 Update 10/25/24 Still as good as last time!!!

Unfortunately overrated. Processing of finished items (schnitzels, mushrooms, etc.) The salad was large but average. Whoever likes it...

Chicken Paula is simply world class. Knobi chicken with stinky bread is the number 1 recommendation. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and that “subtle garlic note” rounds off the culinary delight! The restaurant is very comfortably furnished. The service was super friendly, very attentive and super fast. I'm happy to take over an hour's journey there. If you look at the license plates in the parking lot, I'm not the only one. Chicken Paula is fully recommended. 👍🏻

The food tasted good and looked good, but the service and the waiting times (which were 45 minutes for a large salad) were very, very bad. If you want to eat here you have to expect at least 2 hours of sitting time

Ist die Tageskasse prall gefüllt, verliert man wohl das Gespür dafür, wie man Kunden behandelt. Als ( nach angekündigter ) Wartezeit von 60 Minuten das bestellte Hähnchen serviert wurde, war es mittlerweile reichlich kühl geworden und mit 13 Grad und kurzer Hose nicht mehr angenehm zum Essen im Freien. Meine Bitte, mich in die Gastwirtschaft setzen zu dürfen, wurde mit der Bemerkung kommentiert, ich solle nicht so laut reden (!). Auf Nachfrage wurde geantwortet : „Dann wollen alle rein.“ ( Es waren allerdings eh nicht mehr viele Gäste im Garten ) Eine Kellnerin sagte wörtlich : „Ich setze keinen rein, dann wollen die alle rein.“ Ein anderes Gast-Paar hatte nämlich ebenfalls mitgeteilt, daß es nun draußen zu kalt sei. Auch deren Bitte, im Haus essen zu dürfen, wurde einfach ignoriert. Liebe weibliche und männliche Bedienung der Hähnchen Paula : Es gibt genau 2 Möglichkeiten : 1. Es ist noch Platz, und man bittet den Gast herein 2. Man prüft die Bitte und falls wirklich überhaupt kein Platz mehr vorhanden ist, teilt man dem Gast sein Bedauern mit, evtl. mit dem Hinweis, man werde mal schauen, wann ein Umzug in`s Restaurant möglich ist. Beides geschah nicht. Keine Viertelstunde später waren innen ganze Tische frei, man ließ mich aber als „renitenter Gast“ schön weiterhin im Kalten sitzen. Den Kellner beim Bezahlen darauf hin angesprochen meinte dieser noch, man könne sich ja auch mal eine lange Hose einpacken beim Wandern. Liebe Gäste der Hähnchen Paula, bringt Euch abends warme Decken, Jacken, Pullover und ein wärmendes Mützchen mit zum Abendessen - oder bleibt einfach weg und esst Euer Hähnchen dort, wo man dem Kunden nicht mit solchen Unverschämtheiten gegenübertritt.

We were there for lunch, we had garlic bread with tzatziki as a starter and 2 breaded chicken breast fillets with mushroom cream sauce and rösti as a main course, everything was very tasty 😋The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area.

The food was grossly overrated. The chicken was tasteless, the meat was obviously from old chickens and was rubbery. I was expecting juicy and high quality meat. At 15 euros, the dish was definitely too expensive considering the end result and taste experience.

Had dinner with 8 people yesterday and no one was really happy. Ordered half a chicken, which was very dry... I could hardly separate the meat from the bone. 15 € for half a chicken with some fries🙈 no thanks.

Here you can find the best chicken within a radius of at least 100 km! For this reason, a table reservation is usually mandatory even during the week, but on weekends and during the holiday season you wait forever without a reservation.

In einem nett angelegten Biergarten sowie in den hochwertig eingerichteten Gaststuben kann man Hähnchengerichte frisch und lecker essen. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung, die den Gast gut versorgt. Draußen gibt es einen schönen Spielplatz direkt an einem Bächlein im schönen Ort Sparbrod.

Zuerst wurden wir in den Biergarten verwiesen und wir sollten uns doch irgendwo dazu setzten. Kein Problem, Platz gefunden. Wir bestellten die Getränke und plötzlich saßen wir in der Sonne. Also einen anderen Tisch gefunden und Platz genommen. Dann kam ein Kellner, dem wir sagten, wir sind von da nach hier gegangen. In einem unglaublich lauten Ton sagte er uns, das ginge nicht und wir "müssen" wieder zurück. Nach einer Diskussion haben wir diese Lokalität verlassen und werden auch niemals diese wieder aufsuchen. Eine absolute Frechheit, wie wir als Gäste behandelt wurden. P.S. Wir wollten zum 1.mal dort Essen. Nunja, so verliert man Gäste.

After many years, we came back to eat chicken with anticipation. We ordered 2 half chickens with fries and salad. The salad was served to the table quickly, the previously ordered drinks took a while even though there wasn't that much going on. We waited over half an hour for the chicken. The skin immediately seemed very pale to us and basically tasted like nothing. The meat was difficult to remove from the bones and was hard and dry. When we paid we were asked whether it was tasty, whereupon we described our impression. The culprit was quickly found. The chicken itself was the villain because it drinks too much water in the summer and doesn't eat enough other food!!!. A saying for popular theater. The whole thing at a price that is far too high! We won't be coming back, every grill truck does a better job.
