After hearing a lot of good things, I went there for the first time and was disappointed by the quality of the chicken and drumsticks 😞

If you like chicken, you should definitely go here. Simply delicious. Friendly service, you feel comfortable.

Always great there. Afterwards we have a classic. There are many local regulars as well as returning tourists who eat there.

Ist die Tageskasse prall gefüllt, verliert man wohl das Gespür dafür, wie man Kunden behandelt. Als ( nach angekündigter ) Wartezeit von 60 Minuten das bestellte Hähnchen serviert wurde, war es mittlerweile reichlich kühl geworden und mit 13 Grad und kurzer Hose nicht mehr angenehm zum Essen im Freien. Meine Bitte, mich in die Gastwirtschaft setzen zu dürfen, wurde mit der Bemerkung kommentiert, ich solle nicht so laut reden (!). Auf Nachfrage wurde geantwortet : „Dann wollen alle rein.“ ( Es waren allerdings eh nicht mehr viele Gäste im Garten ) Eine Kellnerin sagte wörtlich : „Ich setze keinen rein, dann wollen die alle rein.“ Ein anderes Gast-Paar hatte nämlich ebenfalls mitgeteilt, daß es nun draußen zu kalt sei. Auch deren Bitte, im Haus essen zu dürfen, wurde einfach ignoriert. Liebe weibliche und männliche Bedienung der Hähnchen Paula : Es gibt genau 2 Möglichkeiten : 1. Es ist noch Platz, und man bittet den Gast herein 2. Man prüft die Bitte und falls wirklich überhaupt kein Platz mehr vorhanden ist, teilt man dem Gast sein Bedauern mit, evtl. mit dem Hinweis, man werde mal schauen, wann ein Umzug in`s Restaurant möglich ist. Beides geschah nicht. Keine Viertelstunde später waren innen ganze Tische frei, man ließ mich aber als „renitenter Gast“ schön weiterhin im Kalten sitzen. Den Kellner beim Bezahlen darauf hin angesprochen meinte dieser noch, man könne sich ja auch mal eine lange Hose einpacken beim Wandern. Liebe Gäste der Hähnchen Paula, bringt Euch abends warme Decken, Jacken, Pullover und ein wärmendes Mützchen mit zum Abendessen - oder bleibt einfach weg und esst Euer Hähnchen dort, wo man dem Kunden nicht mit solchen Unverschämtheiten gegenübertritt.

We were there for lunch, we had garlic bread with tzatziki as a starter and 2 breaded chicken breast fillets with mushroom cream sauce and rösti as a main course, everything was very tasty 😋The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area.

Had dinner with 8 people yesterday and no one was really happy. Ordered half a chicken, which was very dry... I could hardly separate the meat from the bone. 15 € for half a chicken with some fries🙈 no thanks.

The food was grossly overrated. The chicken was tasteless, the meat was obviously from old chickens and was rubbery. I was expecting juicy and high quality meat. At 15 euros, the dish was definitely too expensive considering the end result and taste experience.

Here you can find the best chicken within a radius of at least 100 km! For this reason, a table reservation is usually mandatory even during the week, but on weekends and during the holiday season you wait forever without a reservation.

Today we went to Chicken Paula in Gersfeld Sparbrod. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. A must if you are in the area, definitely worth it. But reserve in advance, it is very busy, especially on weekends. Thanks to the Chicken Paula team.

Very well-kept atmosphere inside as well as the beer garden. Very tasty chicken and highly recommended Monastery beer. The service is excellent and very friendly.

In einem nett angelegten Biergarten sowie in den hochwertig eingerichteten Gaststuben kann man Hähnchengerichte frisch und lecker essen. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung, die den Gast gut versorgt. Draußen gibt es einen schönen Spielplatz direkt an einem Bächlein im schönen Ort Sparbrod.

Zuerst wurden wir in den Biergarten verwiesen und wir sollten uns doch irgendwo dazu setzten. Kein Problem, Platz gefunden. Wir bestellten die Getränke und plötzlich saßen wir in der Sonne. Also einen anderen Tisch gefunden und Platz genommen. Dann kam ein Kellner, dem wir sagten, wir sind von da nach hier gegangen. In einem unglaublich lauten Ton sagte er uns, das ginge nicht und wir "müssen" wieder zurück. Nach einer Diskussion haben wir diese Lokalität verlassen und werden auch niemals diese wieder aufsuchen. Eine absolute Frechheit, wie wir als Gäste behandelt wurden. P.S. Wir wollten zum 1.mal dort Essen. Nunja, so verliert man Gäste.

We are always very satisfied!!!!! We have been to this cozy restaurant with a feel-good atmosphere several times with the family. The staff is very friendly and on the ball and the food at Chicken Paula comes quickly and tastes very good! In addition to the chicken specialties, the world-class tasting side salad with cream dressing and fresh herbs is also highly recommended!

After many years, we came back to eat chicken with anticipation. We ordered 2 half chickens with fries and salad. The salad was served to the table quickly, the previously ordered drinks took a while even though there wasn't that much going on. We waited over half an hour for the chicken. The skin immediately seemed very pale to us and basically tasted like nothing. The meat was difficult to remove from the bones and was hard and dry. When we paid we were asked whether it was tasty, whereupon we described our impression. The culprit was quickly found. The chicken itself was the villain because it drinks too much water in the summer and doesn't eat enough other food!!!. A saying for popular theater. The whole thing at a price that is far too high! We won't be coming back, every grill truck does a better job.

The restaurant is quite trendy, so a reservation is advantageous. The staff is super friendly and impeccable. As the name suggests, they specialize in chicken. In different variations. So if you like chicken, you're in good hands here.

Wir sind nach vielen Jahren wieder mit Vorfreude zum Hähnchenessen gekommen. Wir bestellten uns 2 halbe Hähnchen mit Pommes mit Salat. Der Salat wurde zügig an den Tisch serviert, die zuvor bestellten Getränke brauchten schon eine Weile obwohl nicht so viel los war. Auf die Hähnchen warteten wir über eine halbe Stunde. Die Haut kam uns schon gleich sehr blas vor und hat im Prinzip nach gar nichts geschmeckt. Das Fleisch lies sich nur schwer von den Knochen lösen und war hart und trocken. Beim Bezahlen wurde wir gefragt, ob es denn geschmeckt hätte, woraufhin wir unseren Eindruck schilderten. Der Schuldige war schnell gefunden. Das Huhn selbst war der Bösewicht, weil es im Sommer zu viel Wasser trinkt und nicht genug andere Nahrung zu sich nimm!!!. Ein Spruch fürs Volkstheater. Das Ganze zu einem viel zu hohen Preis! Wir kommen nicht wieder, jeder Grillwagen bekommt das um Klassen besser hin.

21 Uhr und die Küche ist zu? Sowas geht gar nicht und die Begrüßung/Verabschiedung war eher semiprofessionell…. Das ganze Lokal war dazu noch leer, wir wurden nicht mal gefragt, ob wir was trinken wollen….

Wir waren am Sonntag das 2x hier.wie schon beim Besuch im April -das Fleisch löste sich schlecht vom hähnchen und diesmal hatten wir Keulen.die Pommes waren allerdings super.wir können auch Hähnchenschenkel im Backofen und da sind diese durchgebraten.wir kommen nicht mehr !!! Der Preis ist ja auch nicht ohne.

On a return trip we took a detour with the motorhome to the Hühner Paula inn. We had a fantastic meal (best side salad in ages) and the atmosphere is beautiful. Everything is very well maintained, clean and tidy and the garden is very nicely landscaped. The staff really warm. If we come to this corner again, we will definitely stop by here again. We wish the operators all the best for the future and just keep it up. Everything is so perfect!

If you like chicken, you're in good hands with Chicken Paula. The restaurant is no longer an insider tip, which can be seen from the license plates of the vehicles in the parking lot. In the summer season when the beer garden is open, you can come by without a reservation, but you can't go to the beer garden without a reservation unless you want to leave disappointed. My favorite from the menu is the garlic chicken paired with garlic bread and then also an extra portion of zatziki.

Cool shop, something different. Maybe because I'm a chicken fan anyway. But not only that, they are on point, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and rustic. Unfortunately the weather was bad, otherwise we would have used the beer garden. Some of it is even covered. We'll definitely go there again soon.

KFC-Kentucky Fried Chicken sends its regards. The “resturant” is called Chicken Paula and is completely dedicated to chicken. Menu 98% chicken dishes. We were looking forward to a country inn that specialized in chicken preparation. Unfortunately, it's nothing more than a chip shop. Chicken was consistently full of fryer grease. Everything tasted like fat fryer preparation. Can't understand the positive feedback at all, completely misleading. Sorry...that could be much better.

I have rarely eaten worse chicken. It was still pretty raw inside, but the fries were cold 🤣 Super crispy on the outside, unfortunately that was due to the deep fryer👌 The chicken in front of the supermarket tastes much better and costs half the price. Once and never again 😉

A wonderful visit. We went to Chicken Paula with a group of colleagues. Full restaurant. The service was on point and friendly. The garlic chicken was very good. Large portion, lots of meat. Seems to have been a happy animal. The ambience with lots of wood is very pleasant to linger in.

Food was good, but unfortunately very inflexible towards guests. After I ordered a small pork schnitzel (the size of the palm of my hand) instead of the chickies from the frozen food store, I was charged the entire price of the salad with chicken pieces plus mini schnitzel. It's a shame, I've always come traditionally once a year and will no longer do so. I had to pay for something I didn't eat. An extra charge would have been completely fine, but it was just arrogant. The waitress was very nice.

We've often been to Paula's for chicken. The chicken was always there super crispy and very tasty. The restaurant is rustic and very decorated cozy. The service was always very friendly and attentive. We love coming here because the best are here Chicken. Although a larger group Bw Since there were soldiers there, we weren't up long our chicken and fries have to wait. We are already looking forward to the next time.

best fried chicken I've ever had, better than Thai Street food on the Sunday Market in Chiang Mai and better than Otelo's in tenerife.
