The home port is a real feel-good place for us. Everything is just right here: delicious food, great service and an atmosphere in which you immediately feel welcome. The quality is always consistently high - we have never been disappointed. Nice to have found such a favorite restaurant!

Full marks for everything. I've been there twice now and promise you that I will indulge in the menu over the course of the year. Absolutely recommended tip for Offenbach and Frankfurt. Thank you so much ❤️👏

Feel free to come here. It was extremely full at Christmas time - we were still spontaneously allocated a table. The food is really delicious and the selection of drinks is outstanding. Prices tend to be in the higher price segment. Service very nice.

Unfortunately it doesn't keep what it promises. The burger we ordered was loveless, cold, tasteless. And that for just over 19 euros. Tables way too close together. If there is music, then please don't have a different one in every corner. Whatever, one more experience. There are many other restaurants.

Beautiful location and great food.

Unfortunately, this “hipster” restaurant doesn’t suit me. The whole place seems more “appearance than reality” to me. The tables were far too close to each other and you could really hear every word your neighbor was saying. Overall it is very loud in the restaurant. The service seems bored, you have to wait for glasses to be full. I'm also not sure about the menu. She didn't agree with me. I think the younger audience from the harbor district finds their way around better here.

Fantastic food and great service! This restaurant is an absolute delight! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I was particularly impressed by the weekly changing daily menu, always fresh, creative and with seasonal ingredients. The quality of the food is excellent and the attention to detail is evident in every dish. A real insider tip for everyone who appreciates good food in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Great restaurant, the atmosphere is very appealing, staff friendly and attentive. The Surf & Turf Burger was one of the best I've ever eaten, taste explosion. Prices are not cheap, but definitely worth every cent for this performance, home port delivers here, top performance!

The service leaves a lot to be desired. They don't seem to want to sell anything. When the glasses are empty, you ask if you want anything else. Or a dessert if the guest already asks for the menu.

There were three of us last night and, as always, we were thrilled. We've been eating here for years when we want something special. We love the ambience. The food is wonderful. Our three dishes were all top. We had a surf & turf burger with fries...the patty was grilled just right, the shrimp was super tender. We also had the seafood stew. Mega, very fine and aromatic, very well balanced, delicious saffron tarragon sauce. The accompanying rice had been forgotten, But it was brought to you quickly and easily when asked...we're all just human. And we had pork chieks. Hearty and fine at the same time. For dessert we have beetroot chocolate ice cream with sour cream, chocolate nut crumble and berry puree...what a composition!!! The team from the home port did their best again and gave us a wonderful evening. Thanks.

The menu has become smaller for vegans. There used to be delicious falafel that was taken off the menu. Now just a vegan salad and a vegan dish. Better than nothing and still a shame that it was reduced.

It's nice to sit in here or outside. The food is very tasty, the portions are OK, and like everywhere else, the prices have increased here too. The staff is very friendly.

Prices are quite high, quality is definitely not bad, but unfortunately some people didn't like it at the table. The shop is full, but then it closes quite early and the last round is called for.

Angus beef burger absolutely inedible. The meat looked like a thawed patty from the supermarket and was heavy in the stomach for a long time afterwards. My husband felt the same way. The ambience, however, was very nice and the cocktails were also very good.

Very nicely located on the Main, harbor, harbor island... spacious inside and outside area. In great weather I received friendly service and ate very well... I would be happy to come back when I visit Offenbach again.👍

It wasn't our first time in the home port and since it didn't look like we would be able to sit outside at first, we made a reservation in the restaurant. The service was a bit arrogant and preachy at the beginning, but this improved over time. Since we wanted to enjoy as many different dishes as possible from the really great menu, we decided - with one exception ('Fish 'n' Chips' as the main course) - for a combination of different 'small treats': the 'Macadamia Greek Salad ' (amazing dressing!), 'Tuna Tataki' (on point!), 'Mango Prawns' (great presentation!), 'Chef's Cut Tuna Tartare' (hand-cut!) and 'Fried Baby Calamari' (a good portion!) . There were also a few of the very good homemade lemonades and a Sauvignon Blanc II from the Winning winery. It was all a completely fantastic culinary experience that you might not expect here: great and thank you very much for that!

Because people only ever take the time for a bad review, today we're taking the time for a good one. We ate in the home port for the first time in June 2023 and were thrilled. The service is attentive and very friendly. And the food was super delicious! After a long time we were there for the second time today (September 20th, 2024). Everything was just as good as it was a year ago! Very unusual these days - please keep it that way. We look forward to the next visit.

The home port could be so much better if it wasn't for the catastrophic service... There were six of us there, we had to constantly wait for the waiter or look for him if we wanted something to drink, who was always on the move (and then smelled strongly of cigarette smoke). came back smelling). We had our empty plates at the table for at least 20 minutes and they weren't cleared away. Even when we wanted to pay and tell a colleague because our waiter wasn't there again, it still took an eternity until our waiter finally came... We would have liked to have ordered dessert or another glass of wine, but it Everything dragged on so long and we were in a really bad mood... The food itself was really tasty, but didn't really make up for the poor service. At the end we gave feedback to the waiter, who then explained that he was new and had actually been assigned to the lower tables... That could be true, but then you don't constantly disappear to smoke and should be better trained by your colleagues and/or colleagues must also keep an eye on the tables in the upper area. We will go somewhere else as a family in the future, what a shame!

Great location at the harbor in Offenbach. Here you will be full with delicious food. Lots of fish, seafood or steaks, burgers. There is something for everyone. Nice wine selection and other lavish drink selections. And all of this with friendly service in the best place to enjoy the sunset. What's missing are lights on the tables.

The food is good, but the service should also be good for the price. We were allowed to go in on the side of the terrace because our daughter is in a wheelchair and we can't get to the terrace via the stairs. Then we were offered two tables, one table was immediately gone because the colleague offered it to the guests after us...so there was only one table left, but it wasn't nice. We were then allowed to look for one ourselves. Luckily we found a table that fit us and our daughter in a wheelchair. The service could be more attentive. It took a while until we could order the food, then it took a very long time for the food to come. Not good for our special children. When I told the waitress at the beginning that I had put the chair cushion aside because it was full of dog hair, she took it in her hand, looked at it and put it back again...... Dogs don't belong on the chair.

Nice restaurant, delicious food. The restaurant is often visited by people between the ages of 20 and 50 and has a nice atmosphere due to its length on the harbor island. This makes it nice to sit outside, especially in summer. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

On our journey we came across this restaurant. It looks very cozy! The service was fast and friendly. The food was also on the table quickly, even though we were early. We both had fish and chips. The dough around the fish was very thick and still a bit raw. My friend's was better. The fries and grilled vegetables (which you have to order separately for 7 euros) were delicious. When my friend went to pay, he had to pay 70 euros for those two meals, the grilled vegetables, a large beer and a large bottle of water…. This is what he had done. I asked about the bill afterwards, because I thought it was a bit on the high side. Then the waitress came back and said she made a mistake and the price was 60 euros... and I got 10 euros back. If I hadn't noticed anything, the waitress could have put 10 euros in her own pocket…. In short, always ask for the bill!!!!!!

There were four of us and we all had salad. It was super tasty. I didn't think it was ok to deduct a star because it wasn't okay to charge an extra €1.50 per person for bread, especially since the salad already cost €18.90.

Starters "Tuna Tartare" and "Spicy Baby Calamari" tasted good, but not "gourmet" quality. “Salted Salmon” is even better! But very disappointed with "Fishernan's Fish Pasta". Every Italian pizzeria can do this equally or better and you don't have to pay €23.90 for this pasta dish! The Pinot Blanc "Weiss Gold for Frankfurt A very good choice, but once the bottle has been drunk, there is no comparable wine if you only want to drink one or two glasses afterwards. The staff remain very friendly even when they are busy! Another note: Why do the dishes on the menu all have to have English titles? Not all guests, e.g. older people or people from other countries (migrant background), understand this! Or do you not value such guests?

Although I'm most annoyed with myself, I also want to warn others. We had dinner there yesterday and for 1 *AVOCADO & PISTACHIO, 1 *THE ANGUS FILET 300g with PARMESAN FRIES, 1 *small Cola, 1 *CLASSIC MOJITO, 1 *ESPRESSO 2 *0.5l Becks Pils and 1 *0.5 MANGO-MARACUJA Paid exactly “180 euros”. I only received a payment receipt as the invoice I asked for. This means I can't check afterwards what was overcharged. And it was definitely overcharged. So be careful, you have to be careful.

Every cocktail was excellent. I tried "Surprise" with white chocolate. It was very interesting and would happily recommend it. The cocktail with basil is very fresh. The food was also delicious. The appetizer of grilled feta with honey is delicious. My friends from England were looking forward to fish and chips and they really enjoyed it. My hamburger was juicy. In addition, the service was very friendly and quick. Can happily recommend. ☺️

Our lunch on Saturday was another positive experience at this restaurant. The service person responsible had a professional appearance and was super nice. Unfortunately the wrong food was served. Unfortunately this time it was pure disappointment. Apparently the staff has changed, which isn't a bad thing in theory - but the service has gotten worse and worse recently. We come regularly every 3 months. As soon as we entered we were greeted with stupid sayings. The waitress took our order for a bottle of water and two martinis and couldn't tell us whether there were martinis at all. She wanted to bring us an 'espresso martini' because she couldn't find anything else on the menu - a request at the bar would certainly have made things clearer, we would have also had a vermouth........ (like the last time we were there) After about 20' we still had no water (at 34° outside temperature!) after 25' we were asked again if we wanted to order drinks........ Another service person asked this again shortly afterwards....... When we decided to leave, the service person (from the entrance) came with a bottle of water and two stacked glasses - no ice or lemon in the glasses. We just thanked you for the 'service' and left - after almost 40'!!! Not again so soon!!! PS: I have to give at least 1 star for the food, even though we didn't even come until then

The Heimathafen restaurant in Offenbach is an absolute insider tip and a culinary highlight! From the moment we walked in we felt warmly welcomed and perfectly looked after. The ambience is cozy and stylish, a perfect mix of modern design and homely atmosphere. The menu is varied and offers something for every taste. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. Special praise goes to the service: attentive, friendly and extremely competent. The staff's recommendations were top notch and perfectly rounded off our dining experience. Overall, a fantastic evening that left nothing to be desired. The home port in Offenbach is definitely worth a visit and is one of the best restaurants. We will be back definitely!

Unfortunately I have to say that the restaurant has deteriorated a lot. I have been coming to the restaurant for years and will not come back. Wagyu for 60€ and the meat was cold after a complaint in the microwave for 30 seconds and served again still bad. The service was very bad very very bad the waitress instead of taking care of her job and thinking about her guests sat outside with a boy. That's a real no go. You have lost a long-time regular.

Today we decided to have dinner in our home port. Super friendly staff and the food was very good. If you like fish, I can only recommend it. Non-fish eaters will also find something on the menu, the selection is sufficient.

Stylish restaurant on Offenbach's harbor island. When the weather is good you can sit outside (unfortunately sometimes without an umbrella and not too comfortable) and watch the people whiz by. When the weather is bad, the dining room offers a chicly designed environment. The menu is quite short, despite the name, varied ("home" is always a matter of opinion) and not too cheap (at least €17 for a main course), but our food tasted very tasty. The service was unimpressive, but the house was quite full that evening. We can particularly recommend the homemade lemonades. Unfortunately there is no parking space. If the harbor parking garage is occupied, use the parking lot at the Mainwiesen.

We called to reserve a table outside. We were told that reservations were only accepted inside and that we should just stop by. When we were there, they couldn't offer us a table outside because the people who have a reservation are seated outside first. ???????????? Where is the logic here!?

We used to love going here but unfortunately the food has deteriorated a lot. We wanted to try it again at the weekend and were disappointed again. This time we didn't even get to eat. We called specifically to reserve a spot outside. On the phone we were told that a reservation was only possible for inside and that we should just come by. On site, all indoor reservations were moved outside and we were offered a place inside. Free outdoor spaces were not released on the grounds that reservations for the indoor space were still expected. Here I ask myself, how useful is a reservation at all if you can neither sit inside as reserved nor reserve for outside? Luckily Wilhelmsplatz is not far away and we found what we were looking for here, but unfortunately this was our last attempt to eat here again.

You can always do it... Food is really good with room for improvement. Service was good on the last visit, but before that it was worse. The ambience could be a bit more inviting, “forced cool” for my taste. All in all, worth a visit.

We were just in our home port and there was a SNAIL in my food. I really couldn't believe it, the waitress took the grilled vegetables straight away and offered to prepare something new for me. I lost my appetite and couldn't finish my steak and shrimp. Instead of taking all of my food off the bill, only the vegetables were taken away. A snail in your food is disgusting! In the end we had a bill of €300 and they didn't accommodate us. Definitely NEVER AGAIN!

We live in the apartment above the respective venue. We just wanted to have a drink, although there were many free tables in the restaurant, they said it was high season (04/08/2024) and if you didn't want to eat, there were no free tables. A place with a mentality that is absolutely deserted. I never recommend it!!

Quite busy, reservation recommended. The atmosphere is very pleasant, a varied menu with a good selection of food and drinks. I deducted one point because the salads usually had something with mayonnaise or manga in them, which is too greasy or too sweet for me personally, but they also make vinegar/oil dressing upon request. Service also looks friendly.
