A chic restaurant, beautifully situated with views of the vineyards and mountains. You can also sit outside when the weather is nice. The food, from appetizers to main courses and desserts, is all absolutely delicious! The white bread served with some appetizers is so good; it's freshly baked, and you can taste it. The service is very friendly; you immediately feel welcome! The food is plentiful, and the prices are reasonable! We'd love to come back!

Very nice beer garden with a view of the Haardt mountain range. There's also a winter garden for bad weather, or plenty of indoor seating. The chocolate cakes with a liquid center were a hit with the ladies. Important for those staying late: finish work on time 😊 You might get the lights turned out. (I can understand that, though 😁)

This was our second time there as a family, and each time the food was excellent, the service was perfect, and the ambiance was lovely and cozy. The playground with its play equipment was ideal for the kids. Definitely worth more than 5 stars from us.

We ate there with good friends. The food was okay, and the prices were fair. The service could be a bit better, but it was still okay. Parking is available, but when it's busy, you have to park along the street.

Das ist mein lieblings Restaurant in Neustadt. Ich empfehle es immer wieder allen! Wir haben gestern ein Treffen gehabt mit 30 Personen im Holzhof und alle waren sehr positiv überrascht! Alles war einfach supper! Die Lage in der Natur mit Blick auf die Berge, hervorragendes Essen in Form Büfett, die freundliche Bedienung, die auf all unsere Sonderwünsche eingegangen sind usw. Da ist wie im Urlaub!!!! Danke euch nochmals von allen aus unserer Gruppe!! Wir wünschen euch viel Erfolg auch weiterhin.

We celebrated a wonderfully organized family celebration with a delicious buffet and were very satisfied. The service was commendable, especially the food and the friendly chef. Beautiful garden terrace with a view of the vineyards. Poor value for money. Don't go if you're hungry. Summer salad (€14.90) with turkey breast strips is served on a small rectangular plate. In terms of quantity, it's nothing more than a small side salad. Just a little stretched out, with turkey breast around it. Conclusion: Unsatisfactory. The same goes for the sausage salad. Just a handful. What a shame.

So we were very enthusiastic, good food, very nice atmosphere (outside). Very nice inside too. The service was very friendly and everyone enjoyed the food. Adjacent vineyards and beautiful views simply round the whole thing off. We'd love to come back.

The outdoor area is really beautiful and invites you to linger. However, the price-performance ratio is not good and the food is definitely not worth recommending.

Nice restaurant with a great terrace. The service is very friendly, unfortunately a bit too fast. Why do I think this is bad? You sit down and can order promptly. Before you even sit down properly, the side salad is there. Food arrives in less than 10 minutes. It can be a little slower so that you have a more comfortable stay. So everything seems very stressed. Restaurant wasn't very busy during the week. The food was delicious and the price/performance ratio was right. There are also enough parking spaces available.

If minus stars were possible, we would have given them today. We got up and left again because we were completely ignored, the waitress sat on her cell phone and didn't even turn around. A table is occupied by additional customers, apparently unwanted. We've wanted to give this restaurant another chance for a long time, but were disappointed again, this time before we even ordered.

Stinginess with a view! The staff? Friendly, quick, absolutely nothing to complain about. The west-facing beer garden also impresses with a decent view of the Palatinate Forest. The price-performance ratio? Let’s say: ambitious! I had the summer salad with turkey breast strips (€14.90). My female companion tried the grilled sheep's cheese (€12.90) plus a side salad (€4.50). Result: two growling stomachs and a silent vow to raid the fridge at home. The prices are absolutely trendy - but unfortunately only the prices. The portions, on the other hand, appear to be clearly arranged, to put it mildly. The menu seems bland. If you value a view and don't necessarily have to be full, you're in good hands here. If you're hungry, think twice. The other reviews also confirm this.

Everything went too fast for the poor quality! The schnitzel was passable, but the praised wild garlic dish was completely missing the wild garlic pesto 🙈 Cleared the plate from the person sitting next to me, even though someone else still had food 🙈 That's unacceptable. Unfortunately.

The food tastes very good and the service is also good. But the size of the portions is limited. This fills up seniors who can't eat much, but it doesn't work for ordinary mortals. Especially not at these prices.

Unfortunately, it wasn't my cup of tea. The meat was a bit dry and the spaetzle didn't seem homemade. The salads tasted fresh. There weren't many vegetarian dishes.

Pork medallions were very small for the price, and the sauce was just cream with salt and pepper. Schnitzel was very dry. The presentation, from the salad to the main course, was rather cafeteria-like. Far too little for the money.

I ordered the liver, cooked on point, and the onion sauce went well with it. The salad is nice and fresh, all components are homemade. Beer garden is right on Wingert, service was very accommodating, even when it was busy. The prices are fair, there are also good classics in addition to the main menu. So I recommend a visit.

Great atmosphere, nice terrace where you can enjoy the food. We come here often and are already halfway through the menu. It was always fabulous. Changing dishes depending on the season round off the offering. Simply great and absolutely recommended!

The ambience is reminiscent of Tuscany, especially when the wine is blooming and the sun sets in the evening. Lots of space to eat outside, no problem even with a dog. The food is very good, but be quick during the spaghetti season, it can happen that the day's food runs out quickly. Speaks for the quality and taste. This is a wonderful, small restaurant with a courtyard, located directly next to a large vineyard, with mountains in the background, patio umbrellas, and excellent food!

We were there with a group of 10 people. Fast and friendly service. The food was very tasty and also large portions. I had pork medallion with noodles and a delicious side salad. Then hot raspberries with vanilla ice cream. Price absolutely fine. I'd love to come back. 👍🏼

We "landed" here after a bike tour and got a seat in the beer garden. The staff was friendly and attentive and the asparagus with potatoes and turkey steak were delicious, but unfortunately the steak was very small and thin, so I would have expected something different. All in all, it's very nice to sit in and the service is quick.

Good food at good prices. The dessert (strawberry tiramisu) wasn't that special. That's what all the "gourmets" in our group felt. The taste was hardly reminiscent of strawberry and little of tiramisu. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed given the restaurant was full. The atmosphere is cozy. A tip for guests who want to enjoy food from the region.

This weekend we celebrated our wedding at the Holzhof with 50 guests and we were extremely happy with our celebration. Above all, we were able to celebrate our wedding in private, so only we were allowed to be in the restaurant with our guests. Communication was very smooth and uncomplicated and our wishes were taken into account. Even special requests that were not implemented at other locations were addressed. The service at our wedding was excellent, quick and very friendly. The most important thing not to forget: The food was particularly tasty, which our guests also reported. All in all, we had a wonderful celebration in the Holzhof with a great atmosphere. A huge congratulations to all the staff who made it possible for us to have an unforgettable wedding celebration. We came here without too high expectations. It's in a nice location and is open all day. The food is warm and filling - but nothing more. Given the name and the region, I didn't think I could do much wrong with a Saumagen - the sauerkraut had probably taken a detour through the pot on its way from the can to my plate just to warm it up, the fried potatoes had been carelessly fried in oil and left on top On the plate it was soft and watery again and the sausage stomach was boringly seasoned and mediocre at best. The wine spritzer at a good price was quite a surprise! Conclusion: Enjoy a wine spritzer in the (wine) garden and then go out to eat somewhere else.

Small portions. Vegan grilled vegetables were sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Spint dumplings were floating in oil and everything else had a lot of oil in it too. The cream sauce for the children's spaetzle wasn't a hit either. Conditions were great, accommodating, child-friendly and present.

Service and location good but nothing extraordinary. Food (sausage salad, schnitzel) was good, but small portions, not enough for two people. Price-performance is therefore not consistent. Difficult times for everyone, but when I go out to eat I expect to be full. You shouldn't save money there.

On my first visit, I ordered a leg of goose. I wanted one more dumpling with it. The waiter told me "that's not possible, the dishes have been counted out exactly. Another try! I enter the restaurant and three tables are occupied. I'm assigned a small table in the middle of the restaurant. I ask if I can can sit at an outside table. I am told in no uncertain terms that this is not possible. Less than 5 minutes later, a single person comes into the restaurant and he can sit at the outside table where I actually wanted. I mentioned this when paying and said, that this was very unpleasant. The waiter reacted very violently and I definitely decided that this was the last visit. I was certainly not rude, but the waiter was even more so :(

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Gemütliche Atmosphäre. Die Preise auch hervorragend. 1A

Wir waren spontan an einem Donnerstag Abend dort. Das Ambiente und der Service sind toll und die Lautstärke war akzeptabel. Wir hatte Champignoncremesuppe (5 Sterne ) Schweinelende in Steinpilzsoße und Rösti (4 Sterne, Soße bisschen langweilig), Rumpsteak mit Pommes (nur 2 Sterne da es zuerst fast roh kam. Es gab Anfangs keine Frage nach dem Gargrad. Dieser hätte Medium-Rare sein können, war aber noch weit weg von Medium. Nachdem es nochmals in der Küche war, wars dann leider sehr durchgebraten und zäh, Pommes wohl. Eher die günstige Variante). 2 Kinderschnitzel mit Pommes (3 Sterne. Panade hielt nicht wirklich und es war recht trocken und leicht zäh. Geklopft wurde es anscheinend nicht)

Wir haben am 19.05.2023 unsere Hochzeit dort gefeiert mit rund 80 Gästen. Live Musik, die wir organisiert hatten, war auch dabei. Genug Platz für Instrumente,Beschallung und Tanzen. Es war wirklich alles gut. Das Essen hatten wir vorher mit dem Koch besprochen, seine Vorschläge waren super-Mann vom Fach eben. Die Torte kam vom Kaffee Sixt. Das Team ging voll auf unsere Wünsche ein bezüglich der Tischordnung , Deko, Zeitablauf und co. Wir konnten bis in die Morgenstunden Tanzen und Singen die Örtlichkeit ist dafür wie geschaffen. Wir wissen nicht was wir Extra hervorheben sollten aber der Empfang der Gäste draußen mit extra aufgebauten Sektbar war schon echte Klasse… Das Personal stand uns zu Seite bis zum Schluss. Auch unsere Gäste gaben uns sehr positives Feedback. Großes Lob. Dankeschön von Familie Huzejrović.

Vorab - Essen und Service waren gut. Wir waren am 25.12 mit 17 Personen dort! Leider totale Abfertigung 😪 wir haben schon früh reserviert. Nach Rücksprache mit der Gaststätte bewusst um 13 Uhr, da uns zugesagt wurde, das wäre die letzte Runde und wir könnten sitzen bis wir fertig sind. Leider muss Eine Gruppe kurzfristig nach uns reserviert haben und die durften um 15 Uhr kommen. Die Bedienung sagte "wie besprochen" NATÜRLICH NICHT!!!! WIR WUSSTEN DAVON NICHTS, DASS WIR WENIGER ALS 2 STUNDEN HABEN. WURDE UNS AUCH ANDERS ZUGESAGT. Zufällig kannten wir auch Personen, die nach uns gekommen sind... Reservierung kam kurzfristig und wurde dann quasi noch mitgenommen. Ist ja sogar alles verständlich. Aber 17 Personen in 1,5 Stunden anzufertigen und nichts davon zu verraten war echt übel. Zum Schluss blieb nicht mal mehr Zeit zum Kaffee austrinken und Desserts fertig löffeln. Hätten wir das gewusst, hätten wir natürlich kein Nachtisch bestellt. Als das Dessert auf dem Tisch stand wurde uns eröffnet dass wir in 10 Minuten weg sein sollten. Liebes Holzhof- Team, das war echt nicht in Ordnung!!!! Leider einmal und nie wieder - wir haben vor 2 Wochen noch telefoniert da wurde kein Ton gesagt und uns etwas anderes zugesagt! Echt uncool

Wir waren Sonntag mittags zum Essen mit 12 Personen im Wintergarten. Die Beheizung funktionierte nicht wie erwartet, irgendwann waren die ganzen Fensterscheiben angelaufen, ein gekipptes Fenster half auch nicht. Das Restaurant war weitestgehend ausgebucht. Das Personal gab sich Mühe, hätte gerne mal fragen können ob noch was bestellt wird. Das Jägerschnitzel passte geschmacklich nicht in unsere Gewohnheiten. Und die Ochsenbäckchen waren gut, aber vom Fleisch her noch ausbaufähig und teilweise nicht zart genug.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, abgelegen. Nur frisch zubereitet und saisonale Gerichte Sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen und wirklich humane Preise! Sehr zu empfehlen!😍 Wir waren ein Paar Mal hier (mittags) essen Das Personal ist super freundlich und auch wenn, man draußen sitzt muss man nie lange warten!

vermutlich am besten verstecktes Restaurant in Neustadt. Sehr ruhig und schön gelegen in mitten der Weinreben. Gut bürgerlich ist die Küche. Rinderrouladen oder Hackbraten sind die Spezialitäten des Hauses. Sehr netter Service, super freundlich und zuvorkommend Tageskarte mit täglich wechselnden Gerichten, sowie ein Saisonkarte. Durchgehend warme Küche! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Update 2023: Mittlerweile eines unserer absoluten Lieblingslokale. Schönes Ambiente, sehr guter und freundlicher Service, sehr gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Wir fühlen uns hier sehr wohl und nehmen immer wieder Freunde mit. Bewertung 2018 (kurz nach Übernahme) Sehr schönes Ambiente. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Einstimmiges Urteil: Geschmacklich in Ordnung. Die Portionen waren alle sehr knapp bemessen. Lieber einen Euro teurer und dafür normale Portionen.
