I came there at 10 p.m, but was still able to eat, so it is a good point. The menu is pretty simple. However, it was difficult to finish my dish because the curry sauce was too salted, too strong for my taste. Therefore, it was complicated to distinguish the flavor of each element.

Feel like we’re missing something following all the good reviews. Can get much better currywurst for the same price in Munich. Service was poor and food was bordering on inedible. Neither of us could finish our food unfortunately.

Very simple, basic and cosy place.

Vegetarian sausage quite good, vegan sausage not, fries okay. Everything is extremely salty. The exaggerated shouting of names could also be made nicer and the general tone doesn't make it any better. All in all, not a very pleasant place to stay, to have some fries on hand at night because you're hungry.

I used to like this place. I went yesterday evening and the guy at the counter was yelling at the top of his lungs like a complete madman, every two minutes. I've never seen anything like it. Moreover, my plate was totally drown in ketchup.

I like that it's open in the afternoon because I'm usually hungry for fries before dinner. The fries are delicious. Sometimes I also eat sausage, which is also very good!

This sausage has sustainably increased my quality of life a thousand-fold. Anyone who counts themselves among the lucky circle of select night sausage connoisseurs will experience a delightful taste experience of a very special kind at Gute Nacht Wurst. I wouldn't trust anyone less than the talented chefs of this quaint currywurst shop with my nightly sausage cravings. (But a bit too much sauce sometimes)

Stable vegetarian currywurst and “normal” currywurst - not at all good vegan currywurst. Service was terribly unfriendly.

A good place for currywurst. Unfortunately, on our last visit the curry sauce was too salty. My friend had the vegetarian version, which unfortunately didn't taste good. Similar to the sauce, the price was also very salty. An unfriendly tone from the staff rounded off the visit. Next time it will probably be the mountain wolf again...

I didn't particularly like the atmosphere, and unfortunately the service was very unfriendly. The way the employee behind the counter treated us made me want to cancel the order, to be honest. The price is also significantly too high for the portions you get. A currywurst with a handful of fries costs 10 euros, which is really overpriced. All in all the experience was disappointing. I wouldn't go here again.

Saw the good reviews online and decided to try an authentic German sausage. Sausages are crazy good (special shout out to the sauces - frothed the mayonnaise), prices were reasonable as and there was almost too much food. Loved the vibe, the workers were strictly business and told us exactly what we wanted. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!

Been here just before midnight Sausage tastes okay, but portion is very small for €13.90 (with drink) Fries incredibly salty, really inedible. Staff quite unfriendly and bored. I would have expected more, what a shame.

Definitely a rustic location to end the evening. The ambience is pleasing and the service is convincing across the board. Very friendly staff. Respond to requests and provide good support. However, we weren't there at rush hour. Since currywurst tastes are certainly always different, and finding a good currywurst in Bavaria and especially Munich is a challenge, it is also difficult to find really good currywurst here. NRW and Berlin are clearly ahead here. But there are also others in Munich who are at least equal. It would be desirable to choose between thick and thin fries, as the thick fries are quite soft and mushy/floury in places. Nevertheless, the Good Night Sausage is still worth a visit!

I found the sauce and vegan sausage to be very salty.

We happened to be walking by today and discovered this snack bar. Simply great currywurst! I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Four of us were there shortly after 5 p.m. and got in line. The curry sausages were already on the grill and sizzling away; there were no other guests or other employees there. We wanted to buy currywurst to take away. Someone from the staff was setting up the table sets outside. Suddenly this person shouts at us in an aggressive tone: "Lady, we're obviously not open yet. No guests there, no music on. I'll set up the tables outside first! Just ask before you get in!" 1. It was after 5 p.m.; Hours say they open at 5 p.m. Of course I go to the store first and don't ask outside whether it's already open. Plus, the door was wide open. I don't know if there isn't another employee inside. 2. I completely understand if food cannot be sold at 5:10 p.m. because there is still work to be done outside. Especially if you serve alone. I have no understanding that people are simply verbally attacked. The waitress could have also said that it would take another 10 or 20 minutes and that you could wait at a table in the meantime. I have never experienced such interaction. I think it's a shame that the employee obviously couldn't care less how he treats his guests. He obviously works with the attitude "Minga is big, gives you guidance, there's still some to come again." Unfortunately I won't be coming anymore, I'm not stupid. There are enough other restaurants and snack bars that treat you normally :-)

Not tasty at all, unfortunately people in Bavaria don't know how currywurst is made. The sauce wasn't tasty and the sausage had skin on it. Absolutely not a good price for it.

Best currywurst in all of Bavaria

The Gute Nacht Wurst is a great spot for an evening snack. Although there is occasionally a longer line, the food comes to the table really quickly. Everything tastes good, especially the sausage. The fries are relatively thick. For my taste they could be thinner. The atmosphere is cozy for a snack, there are a few seats in the restaurant.

Even late in the evening you can still get your currywurst and fries pretty quickly here. The fries are well seasoned, super tasty!

I didn't get a chance to taste the food because: - They don't accept cash - The cashier was screaming super loud that my heart was beating so fast so I just wanted to run out of the place asap

Unbelievable: The customer has to be to blame if something goes wrong. I ordered my food and was then told to wait until my name was called. I was sitting right in front of the entrance and after 20 minutes I still hadn't been called, I asked. The answer was we probably called your name. Nobody could find my piece of paper with my name on it and understand it. The very strong service employee was definitely sure that the fault had to be mine because they certainly called my name. I should be more careful next time. My currywurst was then handed over to me in a patronizing manner.

If you're still hungry after midnight for a sensible snack other than the usual fast food, this is my recommendation. The currywurst menu was very tasty and the waiting time was short despite the large crowds after midnight. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. Since the space is very limited, you have to be prepared for a stand-up snack, but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment.

Do you want a currywurst and a beer? Then go here. There are other drinks too. Not really any other food, apart from fries and related things. It's tasty and the opening times also allow you to feel hungry late in the day. Service is a bit scheduled and sometimes calls wrong names for pickup

Good night Currywurst - 2 stars for the Ayinger, while the service team is on their smartphones and serves currywurst that has already been on the grill for 2 hours... inedible. Clearing away the 20 empty bottles of beer would be too tiring

The night is young, but the hunger is great? The Gute Nacht Wurst is still there and offers a sturdy sausage for a fairly fair price (menu €12.90, as of March 2024). Maybe not the best, but actually always good enough. The ambience takes a little getting used to, but it's okay. The only thing that might be annoying is the somewhat loud music. Either way, the Currywurst address, because if you don't like it you can go to the subway, the Bergwolf is right there. Personally, I like Goodnight Sausage better…

Admittedly, you shouldn't expect much from a store with this appearance. Nevertheless: rarely experienced such an unnecessarily outrageous underground “service”. Extremely unfriendly and rude. You are called by name, and you could see that people are trying to bring old, stale food to people as freshly prepared. Prices overpriced, quality poor. Tables, floor, chairs extremely dirty. Even the warm sausage, which was freshly prepared after much discussion, was a disaster in terms of taste...

About the food: The currywurst is nothing special, unfortunately very drowned in the sauce, which provides little taste. The fries are okay. About the service: The two men at the counter strike a tone that might seem appropriate on construction sites, but not in the catering industry. As soon as you order, you lose interest in eating because of sheer arrogance. During our visit, another guest was even yelled at across the dining room for taking the wrong order. About the ambience: Cozy dining room, lots of wood, pleasant acoustics. However, the dishes are served in paper plates and with these little wooden forks (!)! Neither sustainable nor comfortable. Plus a bottled beer for over €4; I don't have to go to Glockenbach for that. My boys and I probably won't come here again.

Edit: The team on site gave the bonus and paid for it, which is why I asked, hence my rating. Staff have to pay for drinks during shift? Isn't the minimum wage low enough? Great sausage, expensive beer. Great shed. But what's the point of the telly? It would be much nicer without it!

The restaurant looks very rustic and the service staff also give you the impression that this is a small but nice insider tip. Unfortunately, what we had as currywurst with fries and house sauce on the paper plates wasn't even close to what it was supposed to be. The fries were hard and over-salted, the sausage was completely drowned in an indefinable, over-acidic curry mush that masked all of the sausage's own taste. The difference between vegetarian, vegan, Berliner and red currywurst could only be identified by the slightly different consistency and size. It's really a shame and when I read the other reviews I think it's a coincidence and a bad isolated case.

Great shop, good concept and great sausage. I once ordered almost everything on the menu. The red C sausage was flawless and nicely fried. The Käsekrainer was great, with enough cheese and enough flavor. The vegan sausage was also perfect. Of course the mouthfeel is a little different than a sausage with meat, but the taste is perfect. The sauces were all great in their own right. The garlic mayo and truffle mayo (everyone has to have that now) were particularly recommended. Next time I'll try the different levels of spiciness. You won't want to stop at the sweet potato fries! The beer selection is very extensive and the prices are fair for the area and Munich. The audience was diverse and included everything from young to old. If you have a light tea and want to give in to your appetite and cravings at night, then go for the Good Night Sausage.

We were sent here on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The first impression is inconspicuous but that is deceptive. The sausage (vegan) was awesome. The service is loud ;-) and the rustic ambience rounds it off. Definitely again.

I prefer a friendly hello and goodbye, a little gossip. If I don't receive personal contact or a 'Hello' when I leave, I won't come back...  For tourists it may not matter, but for me as a native it does. For my taste, it's not just about the sausage but also the human gut feeling about it. I felt more like I was at a fast food chain, which is probably “our time” and also chic. Also the choice of types of sausage, upon my request - which ones are available, please leave it alone after the seller's introduction, as it is posted above.

Wer die Currywurst etwas ausgefallener will, ist hier richtig. Natürlich gibt es auch eine weiße Wurst (mein Favorit).

A very solid curry wurst pub, which is the only dish they offer, along with fries. I would have preffered to have had beer on tap however. The Helles beers on offer were mediocre. The service was quick and friendly. Surprisingly there were not too many places specialized for wurst during my strolls through Munich, which I would have expected from the capital of Bavaria.

If you're hungry for something quick and perfect for a night out come here! The food is simple but good and the service is super quick! No table service but the staff is super nice!

Die leckerste vegetarische Currywurst in München. Nehmt unbedingt die vegetarische aus Eiprotein! Absoluter Hammer. Sogar außen knusprig. Fast wie eine echte Wurst! Und super freundlich.

Gute Alternative nachdem ich beim Bergwolf nebenan einige Zeit vergebens angestanden hatte. Currywurstsauce sehr gut, Pommes hervorragend. Große Portionen. Drinnen mitunter recht laut, was auch daran liegt, dass die fertigen Gerichte nicht zum Platz gebracht werden, sondern zur Abholung ausgerufen, manchmal eher geschrien. Das ist optimierungswürdig. Ansonsten sehr coole Retro-Deko alter Zeitungsausschnitte und Reklame.

Coole Location - Wurst war lecker - Pommes waren mir zu überwürzt und die Sauce auch (Currysauce / BBQsauce (?) hat nach Glutamat geschmeckt)

Es dreht sich alles um die Wurst. Auch vegan und vegetarisch möglich. Superschneller und freundlicher Service, allerdings mit Selbstbedienung. Wenn die Namen des Gastes geschrien werden, dessen Essen fertig ist, kann es ziemlich laut werden. Das gehört aber zum Ambiente. Ich wünsche der Gute Nacht Wurst weiterhin viel Erfolg!

The vegan wurst has a good taste and consistence but I expected it served into bread and instead it was standing alone, so it doesn’t satisfy your appetite in the same way. The fries are really good. Overall high prices for quantity/service.

No frills but a great take on a classic currywurst plate.

Das Lokal an sich ist sehr nett und die Sitzmöglichkeit draussen ist top. Nur das Essen ist leider wirklich nicht gut :-( Wurst, Pommes, Soßen schmecken alle nicht. Sehr schade.
