Gut Welpe in Vechta

We had dinner at Gut Welpe on a Friday night. It was not that busy, and it was easy to find a table for a party of 6 as there is plenty of outdoor seating available. The food was generally good. You have to be proactive and specific on how you would like your food cooked when ordering meat (the default seems to be 'well-done'). The staff is super nice, but the service has room for improvement. The wrong food was delivered in one case, a drink was forgotten for another member of our party, the staff were not very attentive (empty glasses go unnoticed for quite some time. We came back a second time, but after being handed the menu, we were basically ignored, therefore we left 15min later). The location is awesome: a restaurant at a pond with quiet surroundings! Unfortunately the pond is almost completely obscured by bushes when seated at an outdoor table.

A lovely restaurant at the Vechta Golf Club. It's a lovely place to sit, especially in the summer. We've been there several times now. The menu isn't too extensive and offers something for everyone, but it could use some updating. The salads are recommended. The service is friendly and attentive, but a bit endearingly chaotic.

Located on the lakeside, the outdoor terrace offers a wonderful atmosphere and is always fully booked. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I highly recommend it.

We come here regularly with the kids and have always been very satisfied. If the prices seem too high for someone, the location probably isn't for you and a snack bar is a better alternative.

Good luck - simply dreamy - our perfect wedding venue! From start to finish, everything was like a fairytale: The venue is beautiful and stylish, the food was a true feast for the palate, and the drink selection left nothing to be desired. The attentive staff deserves special mention – friendly, professional, and always on hand. Our guests were delighted, as every wish was fulfilled. We couldn't have imagined a better day! Staff could have checked on us every now and then, if at all, to see if we wanted to order anything else, etc. Then we lost the desire to wait. We were happy that we paid on time. The greeting began with “You can sit wherever you want.” Seems a little stressful and not very professional. But good. The location looked pretty nice. We sat outside. The only thing that bothered me was the spider webs on the fence. I liked my cherry juice but it would look much nicer with a straw for the price. My mother really liked the cake.

After a few years and a change of ownership, we were away again today for breakfast with the family. The entire ambience has been renewed and very tastefully decorated. Those were the first positive impressions. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The buffet-style breakfast was very rich and varied. Only coffee (the taste could only be guessed at) and a multivitamin juice that doesn't deserve its name were not convincing and should urgently be improved or replaced. At least the staff was grateful for our well-intentioned criticism. Otherwise quite good, although I personally expected a little more for €25 per head.

We had breakfast there today with the family, it was a very small buffet for the price, it was built around a small table and was very economical. If you think about it, it was all packaged sausage and cheese and baked rolls and you pay €25 for that and it was way too loud. If you think about the fact that you pay €19.90 at Haus Adelheide and the buffet is 10 times as big and you don't get thrown out shortly after ten. The buffet in Welpe is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and if the tables are cleared away just after eleven, it's not nice for the customers.

I really like this restaurant. It’s in a woods setting lots of green and trees around. The inside was very comfortably decorated in wood and was an interesting mix of old and new. The service was very competent, and friendly, and fast! The young man who served us spoke German and English. I read a lot of good reviews, and a couple of not so good reviews. Honestly, I have no idea what the bad reviewers were talking about - I had a wonderful experience with my daughter and her girlfriend at the Gut Welpe. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique and comfortable experience with good food, friendly service, and pleasant surroundings.

Unfortunately the breakfast has lost quality. Rock-hard baked rolls, no antipasti, no meat, no juice. Very unfortunate.

There were four of us there and had the burger (great bun!) with Argentinian beef pattie, the Viennese veal schnitzel, the rump steak, the baked potato with herb quark and the goat cheese. All the food (the steak was perfectly medium) and the drinks (Helga shouldn't go unmentioned!) were very good. Greetings to the chef! The lighting also contributed to the great ambience. Last but not least, the friendly staff cannot go unmentioned. We'd love to come back

It's a very nice restaurant, the service is also very good. We were there for lunch at Christmas. A buffet was offered. For the price we expected something better. We didn't recognize the starter as such. Looked like it belonged with the salad. Deer goulash, right? It's a shame, we were really looking forward to it.

We went to the breakfast buffet at Gut Welpe. The buffet is very extensive, everything is fresh and tastes very good. The service is very attentive and competent. Special requests were also taken into account, so that it was a successful breakfast all round. The atmosphere is very cozy and the surrounding area also invites you to take a nice walk after breakfast. We always enjoy coming here.

The food we order was really terrible cooked. The burguer was like outsole of the shoe, really dry and hard. We order one topical Christmas plate, I don’t remember the name, was a cook beef rolled and really too much cook, dry and can not eat. Anther plate was a chicken breast, dry. Really upset to paid for this bad food that I never eat before in restaurant on the same level. Totally not recommend this place , it is completely waste your money.

Great location, nice and attentive staff, and a good and plentiful selection at the breakfast buffet. There is not only filter coffee, but cappuccino, latte macchiato and the like are included in the price of €23.90, as well as various options. Types of tea. We'll be back!

Great atmosphere. Everyone is trying very hard. Food OK.

Overall we were very disappointed with the food! There was no online menu because the chef has been sick for about 2 months! Unfortunately, this was not said in advance! There was only a small menu, which would have been ok if the quality of the food was good! But the schnitzels were prepared in the deep fryer, the vegetables were frozen vegetables, the sauce was a ready-made sauce...! Overall, the price-performance ratio was unfortunately not at all good! It's a shame...we can't recommend the food

We were looking for a nice alternative where you could eat outside in Vechta when the weather was good... And unfortunately we didn't find it. Ambience really great, but not 5 tables occupied on a Friday evening. We should have been suspicious here. We were served by two waitresses, one extremely helpful and nice, the other unfortunately completely helpless and incompetent. We ordered one of the better bottles of wine on the menu, which was carelessly placed on the table like a bottle of water (without a sample sip, wine cooler or anything similar). Unfortunately, the starter we ordered didn't come at all, but the salmon for the main course wasn't cooked properly a second time, even after the first complaint. Really a shame! Unfortunately it also explains why we were the last guests at 10:30 on a Friday evening when it was 25 degrees.

Super great location in the middle of the forest. Everything was very lovingly coordinated. Pleasant atmosphere to feel good. I'd love to come back in the summer because the beer garden is also a dream. The food was super tasty. For me as a vegetarian there was enough choice. 👍 Finally I come to service. You really are treated like a guest. My needs were addressed very attentively. You rarely experience that in this form anymore.

Sehr schön gelegen. Freundliches Personen. Kaffee und Kuchen/Schnittchen waren wirklich lecker. Ich komme gerne noch mal vorbei und probiere die Speicherkarte aus.

Essen- nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Geschmacklich ganz weit vorne und Auswahl definitiv ausreichend. Ambiente wohlig warm, modisch rustikal. Wir sind gern dort und haben dort auch unser Hochzeitsessen in guten Händen gewusst. Alle waren begeistert. Service sehr gut. Äußerst freundlich, zuvorkommend aber nicht aufdringlich. So soll ein gutes Restaurant sein. Die Lange im Wald lädt zu Spaziergängen ein.

Warum wird meine Rezession abgeblockt? Gut stelle ich die alte Rezession erneut rein. Ich sehe nicht was daran auszusetzen wäre: Als wir ankamen war die Begrüßung nett. 1 Stern dafür. Uns wurde der Tisch gezeigt. Das Tischset war vorher nicht erneuert, der Tisch nicht abgeputzt... und auf der Fensterbank an der unser Tisch war... die Begleitung wollte gerade ihre Handtasche ablegen... alles voll mit Gläserflecken. Das hätte der Service sehen müssen... nicht der Gast... und vorher mal abwischen. So mussten wir den Service drauf hinweisen. Ich hoffe die anderen Tische und Fensterbänke waren geputzt, und wir die Ausnahme. Karte kreativ witzig von den Begriffen. Leider keine echten Highlights im Bereich Saison, Region, oder eigene Kreation. Den 2ten Stern gibt's dafür, das man den Hund mit reinnehmen kann und den schönen Ausblick auf den Teich.

Guter Service, leckeres Frühstück

Sehr schönes Ambiente super netter Service und ganz leckerer Kuchen!! Update nach 5 Jahren immer noch sehr zu empfehlen leider wurde der Name geändert ich fand das „Holla die WaldFeh“ war ein super Name. Ansonsten war das Essen wieder Mega lecker und auch reichlich. Der Service wieder sehr nett und sehr aufmerksam. Für mich immer noch min. 5 Sterne wert!!!

Zum Frühstück dort gewesen: ausreichend mit allem verwöhnt worden, was das Herz begehrt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das frische Obst und die wirklich sehr aufmerksamen und freundlichen MitarbeiterInnen. Preis-Leistung stimmt und das Ambiente spricht für sich. Wir sind immer gerne dort.

Das Frühstück ist hier immer sehr lecker. Die Auswahl ist toll, der Service sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich total wohl in der Umgebung. Immer wieder gerne ☺️

Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Service hat mir nicht 100% gefallen. Aber vielleicht war der Tag vorher achon zu anstrengend.

Wow, einfach nur wow. Vielen Dank, dass wir am Wochenende einer Hochzeit in eurem Gut beiwohnen durften. Es war eine unglaubliche Atmosphären, super tolles Personal, mega geniales Essen, tolle Räumlichkeiten, eine super Terrasse am See. Es war unglaublich schön und romantisch. Danke an alle, die uns bedient haben ♥️

Ein ganz tolles Restaurant. Das Essen war super lecker und die Portionsgrößen sehr gut. Auch der Service war sehr nett. Sie sind auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und haben alles schnell umgesetzt. Auf der Rückseite der Kinderkarte gibt es für die Kinder ein Ausmalbild. Auf Wunsch haben wir kurz darauf Buntstifte vom Personal bekommen. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend mit einem tollen Ambiente. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall demnächst wieder. 😊

Karte hat hauptsächlich Hänchen im Angebot. Sonst nur ein Schnitzel Gericht, oder ein Schweinefilet Gericht und ein Steak Gericht. Vorspeisen gab es mehr zur Auswahl.

Tolle Location und Service war auch gut, aber Essenspreise total überteuert. Ich hatte einen vegetarischen Burger ohne Patty nur mit trockenem Brötchen und etwas Salat und Gemüse dazwischen, Pommes als Beilage. Und das für satte 18 Eur !!! Abzocke😡 Der Bürger mit Fleisch kostet nur 2 € mehr. Wir waren zu viert da und die Preise sind uns allen aufgestoßen. Als Beispiel: eine kleine Flasche Mineralwasser für 3,80 Eur🙈

Ich erzähle euch heute etwas über das Gut Welpe! Wir waren dort zum Brunchen! Tolles Ambiente, zuvorkommende und echt nette Servicekräfte! Für 21,90€ pro Nase bekommt man ein wirklich reichhaltig gedeckten Tisch mit allem möglichem! Das einzige was hier noch fehlte, waren die Pancakes! Mir haben die nicht gefehlt 😉! Hier hat man sogar Kaffeespezies wie Cappuccino oder Latte Macchiato im Preis inbegriffen! Das findet man doch eher Selten! Aber, Reservieren nicht vergessen! Sonst wird das nichts!

Guten Morgen "Gut Welpe " Heute haben wir zum Frühstück das Restaurant und Café "Gut Welpe" besucht. Das Lokal ist urgemütlich und einladend eingerichtet inmitten im Welper Wald. Die große und sehr schöne überdachte Terrasse lädt im Sommer auch zu Kaffee und Kuchen ein. Das Frühstücksbuffet inklusive Heißgetränke lässt keine Wünsche offen. Lachs,Forelle, Rührei, eine große Auswahl an Aufschnitt, Saft, Würstchen, verschiedene Brötchen und Brotsorten, Obst,Joghurt und vieles mehr steht hier zur Verfügung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Kaffee nachbestellen war überhaupt kein Problem. Wer ein gutes Frühstück in Ruhe genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das Lokal ist sehr zu empfehlen 👍👍 Heute, am 1. Mai wieder "Gut Welpe " besucht. Wie immer sagenhaft toller Kuchen und eine schöne Atmosphäre.

Eine wunderschöne Anlage mit Terrasse und See davor. Ein Wald zum spazieren gehen und anschließend auf Gut Welpe einkehren und die Seele baumeln lassen.

Samstag abend haben wir uns überlegt, daß wir am Sonntag morgen hier zum Frühstücksbufett gehen wollten. Leider haben wir auf der Homepage keine ausreichenden Informationen finden können. Über Facebook haben wir dann schnell eine Anfrage nach freien Plätzen und dem Preis gestellt. Die Antwort kann schnell und auch einen Reservierung war schnell erledigt. Am Sonntag wurde wir freundlichst begrüßt. Wir fanden ein sehr umfangreiches Büfett vor. Es war wirklich alles vorhanden, was man von einem gutem Frühstück erwartet. Alles sehr lecker ! Sehr freundliches Service-Team. Es wurde immer dezent und freundlich nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob noch etwas fehlt. Tolle Leistung. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen wieder. Danke. Update 23.04.2023: Wir waren kurzfristig ohne Voranmeldung mit 5 Personen dort zum Essen. Freundlicher Empfang. Schnelle Platzzuweisung. Sehr schönes Ambiente. Sehr freundlicher Service. Danke an Marco! Sehr übersichtliche Karte, was ich als sehr postiv empfinde. Jeder von uns hat etwas gefunden, was gefäält. Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und (auf Empfehlung) Desert. Alles wirklich sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Und ja, ... es ist etwas hochpreisiger, gerade die alkoholischen Getränke, aber sei es drum. Uns hat es allen gut gefallen.
