Don't let the courtyard put you off; this old workshop has been transformed into a truly welcoming, traditional Neapolitan restaurant with consistently amazing Italian food in truly generous portions. The prices are truly reasonable, and the owners are incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

Let me start like this. A few months ago, I had a Neapolitan on my YouTube feed who made a video about how to make the perfect Neapolitan pizza at home. The technique was completely different than you might normally expect. So no wild kneading. But forget about baking pizza at home. You get the same result, at a reasonable price, here at Antico Gusto. Service and food are prompt and served in a relaxed atmosphere. Amiente "only" four stars because it's more "rustico." 😉 So, in any case, a recommendation, but please pay attention to the opening hours.

A revelation! We haven't eaten pasta this good outside of Italy. Here, the food is cooked with love and clearly takes time to prepare. The sauce was phenomenally delicious. The portions were generous. The service was as Neapolitan and warm as you could wish for. The prices are also reasonable. If we weren't going to Naples next week, we'd be yearning for Cologne by now. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely one of the best pizzas I've ever had (sausage pizza). The quality of the ingredients is top-notch! Real Caputo flour and super fresh, slightly spicy Italian sausage! Small, unassuming shop. However, the food was consistently excellent. The Bolognese was one of the best I've had in a long time. The Neapolitan-style pizza was also really good. The dough was very digestible. (Dough fermentation took 36 hours, I asked 😅) The toppings were also fresh and plentiful. The pizza rolls were freshly baked, and the herbs were good and homemade. Additionally, the price-performance ratio was absolutely perfect. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The elderly couple who own the place were also very friendly and accommodating. This certainly won't be the last time we're here.

We happened to eat here yesterday. And what can I say: The best pizza we've had in a long time! Excellent ingredients and perfect service. Excellent value for money. We felt very comfortable in this family-run restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the Italian hospitality and attentiveness of the restaurant owner. It's a real shame we live so far away. But on our next visit to Cologne, another meal at Gusto Antico is at the top of our wish list.

This hole in the wall Italian restaurant is definitely worth 5 stars. 1st of all it is right across the apartment we stayed at here in Cologne. Service is excellente! Food is soooo deliciozo! The owner is very nice and personable. Definitely would recommend this to all who visit Cologne.

I don't think so. We got a table straight away but unfortunately we didn't get to eat. After waiting for over an hour the owner came over to us with pizza rolls and told us our food wasn't ready yet! When we complained that he could have told us earlier why it would take so long, we were told we could leave because the food wasn't being prepared yet!!! After over an hour!!! So although the place is very cozy with an Italian atmosphere, I don't recommend it. Unfortunately.

Hungry from visiting a nearby exhibition, the five of us found what we were looking for here in the charming industrial wasteland of Ehrenfeld. Behind an unspectacular entrance to a small pizzeria, we were greeted in a friendly and funny manner by the boss, seated and well served! And: the cuisine was excellent and highly recommended. A gem in an area that is quite unsightly for us young pensioners. We would love to come back...

Great Neapolitan restaurant! After visiting the Monet exhibition, we had an appetite for “Italian” food and spontaneously visited this restaurant! I just say: delicious! As a hoppy chef, I was thrilled! Luciano was very personable and his wife was also an excellent cook! It's a shame that the restaurant isn't in Bonn. But even so, it's worth a repeat visit.

I've never enjoyed eating the crust of a pizza as much as I did here, the dough was outstanding (and the toppings too, of course).
