We came from the Netherlands to visit the Christmas market. On the internet we saw this Italian restaurant with very good reviews. Now we understand why. The owner immediately made room for our group of 7 people with children. The food is delicious, fresh flavorful, and really enjoy. Luciano jokes with the kids and is a really good host. Should we come back to Cologne. We intend to come back immediately.

Today was our first time there. The restaurant is rather unassuming and small, but cozy. The service was very friendly. The food was delicious. We had a great time. This certainly won't be our last visit.

At first glance, it's a small, unassuming, somewhat basic backyard restaurant... but on closer inspection, a true gem! A small, authentic Italian, or more precisely, Neapolitan restaurant, the kind they should be and really only be considered a hidden treasure. Nevertheless, here's a little review: The spaghetti carbonara and puttanesca were the best I've ever eaten outside of Italy! The pasta had the perfect al dente texture, the sauces were fantastic. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. They don't skimp on the Parmesan either. Good wine and water are available at very fair prices. The maître d', Luciano, is very friendly and approachable, and his wife, Anna, runs the small kitchen. Gusto Antico is an absolute must-visit!

Five women and I had a wonderful meal there. All the pizzas were delicious, and the spaghetti carobara was also very good. Friendly service from the owner, Luciano, and his wife, Anna, who is the chef. A small, charming restaurant. We can definitely recommend it. We were very satisfied, and we even packed up the leftovers to take home. We'll gladly come again. Ciao!!

After visiting the Frida Kahlo Immersive exhibition, my sister, a friend, and I wanted to grab a bite to eat – and we weren't disappointed at Gusto Antico. The restaurant offers traditional Italian food just like Mom used to make: hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. Every bite was a little treat for the palate, authentic and lovingly prepared. Simply perfect.

We went there as a family and had a really lovely evening. The food was fantastic, perhaps even the best Margherita I've ever had. Good music played in the background, and everything was very clean and pleasant. Because it was quiet, we were able to have a wonderful conversation with the owner and laugh a lot. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, just right. We'll definitely be back and will certainly make it our regular spot whenever we're in the area for concerts!

If you're used to dining at a Danish design restaurant, this isn't the place for you – in terms of ambiance. But if you're into good, authentic Italian cuisine, you have to go. The antipasti were fresh and delicious, and the pasta was superb. The owner is a real entertainer, very warm and hospitable. You'll feel very comfortable.

For me, the Gusto Antico restaurant is one of the few institutions that has remained true to this part of Ehrenfeld. The food is fantastic across the menu, and the personal conversations keep the place authentic; I always enjoy coming back.

Since I never do that and don't see the point in paying two euros to sit down (which I've never heard of), I wanted to take the pizza to go. The funniest thing was their argument: my pizza is the cheapest, so it's two euros to sit down!! Are you serious?

Luciano & Anna: The Best of Naples in Cologne! Luciano & Anna's pizzeria is an absolute must and deserves a full five stars. The Pizza: A Dream What's served here is authentic Neapolitan pizza. The dough is perfect – airy, light, with the classic, slightly burnt crust (cornicione). The ingredients are of the highest quality and taste like pure Italy. You can feel the tradition and craftsmanship in every bite. Service and Conclusion Luciano and Anna are warm and attentive. The atmosphere is authentically Italian and very cozy. If you're looking for the best pizza Napoletana in Cologne, you'll find it here. Highly recommended!

Our plan was to grab a bite to eat around the corner. A local tipped us off about the delicious food there, and we were very surprised. It truly pains me to leave a negative review here. Today was my first time here, and based on the reviews, my expectations were very high. I had a nice chat with the gentleman, and he was very personable. He told me he's been making pizza for 35 years. All well and good. The final product I received was, in my opinion, much too thick for a pizza. The dough was also very soft, and everything was a bit mushy. The pizza wasn't sliced, or rather, it was only cut into four slices after I asked for it. In terms of taste, it's AT BEST an average pizza for me, and because the dough was far too thick and soft, it was even below average for me personally. I don't know where all the positive reviews are coming from... He was sure I'd come back, but I think I'll just go back once.

Let me start like this. A few months ago, I had a Neapolitan on my YouTube feed who made a video about how to make the perfect Neapolitan pizza at home. The technique was completely different than you might normally expect. So no wild kneading. But forget about baking pizza at home. You get the same result, at a reasonable price, here at Antico Gusto. Service and food are prompt and served in a relaxed atmosphere. Amiente "only" four stars because it's more "rustico." 😉 So, in any case, a recommendation, but please pay attention to the opening hours.

A revelation! We haven't eaten pasta this good outside of Italy. Here, the food is cooked with love and clearly takes time to prepare. The sauce was phenomenally delicious. The portions were generous. The service was as Neapolitan and warm as you could wish for. The prices are also reasonable. If we weren't going to Naples next week, we'd be yearning for Cologne by now. We'll definitely be back!

Small, unassuming shop. However, the food was consistently excellent. The Bolognese was one of the best I've had in a long time. The Neapolitan-style pizza was also really good. The dough was very digestible. (Dough fermentation took 36 hours, I asked 😅) The toppings were also fresh and plentiful. The pizza rolls were freshly baked, and the herbs were good and homemade. Additionally, the price-performance ratio was absolutely perfect. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The elderly couple who own the place were also very friendly and accommodating. This certainly won't be the last time we're here.

This hole in the wall Italian restaurant is definitely worth 5 stars. 1st of all it is right across the apartment we stayed at here in Cologne. Service is excellente! Food is soooo deliciozo! The owner is very nice and personable. Definitely would recommend this to all who visit Cologne.

I don't think so. We got a table straight away but unfortunately we didn't get to eat. After waiting for over an hour the owner came over to us with pizza rolls and told us our food wasn't ready yet! When we complained that he could have told us earlier why it would take so long, we were told we could leave because the food wasn't being prepared yet!!! After over an hour!!! So although the place is very cozy with an Italian atmosphere, I don't recommend it. Unfortunately.
