Gustav Restaurant in der KAH in Bonn

This restaurant is located right next to the Bundeskunsthalle and is ideal for a stop after your visit. The ambience is extremely tasteful. Can you tell what this room divider is made of? Yes, 100th of vinyl LPs. A light, airy atmosphere. Very welcoming. The menu is small and delicious. A few cakes at the buffet, a few small bistro dishes and a few lunch plates. We got to know the chef a little before we tasted his food. His singing could be clearly heard from the kitchen. A good sign, as it turns out. The young women in service - attentive, nice and fast. We tried the boiled beef and tagliatelle. There wasn't the slightest thing to complain about either. Price and portions were right. Delicious. The Gustav is a clear recommendation!

On our first visit the food was average and the experience was made extremely frustrating as one person was responsible for the whole restaurant. Of course it was extremely slow as a result. Second (attempted) visit they were closed. Third (attempted) visit was to check out the Biergarten on the roof during an exceptionally sunny and warm day. Also closed. I do not think they want visitors.

The interior with those black plastic room dividers (art?) and the dark walls is horrible for a cafe. The cake was okay.

Waited a long time for the card. Then waited a long time for the order. Finally waited a long time to pay. Waited in vain for the table to be wiped. Apple pie was okay, probably frozen.

Ordered four meals. Only three came.

Salad was okay. The atmosphere is creepy because the interior design is totally restless, uncomfortable chairs, a dirty table and overall it looks dingy. The service was slightly overwhelmed.

I was really hoping that a restaurant that was committed to minimalism would open somewhere in Bonn. Everything here is Bavarian or baroque and the food is mostly unimaginative. Regarding the idea of ​​a Viennese cafe, they look different and don't bother the guest with art. And real Austrian cuisine is something completely different. So, like almost everywhere in Bonn, neither fish nor meat nor good veggies.

Always had a lovely time here. It's a very pleasant atmosphere and perfect for a quick coffee and a lovely piece of cake after visiting the museum. (Try their Herrentorte, it's lovely) The food is great, awesome variety of different small suppers and proper meals. Last but not least the service is great and very helpful. Small changes to the order were no problem at all. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful place and very interesting clock, lovingly designed! Very tasty food, we had the vegetable pancakes and the gnocchi and they were both very tasty 🥰 The staff was very friendly and accommodating! I'd love to come back!

Delicious food in a well-kept, stylish ambience in the “Bundeskunsthalle” house. Today there was gnocci with cream cheese filling, tomatoes, broccoli, basil... and at the end Kaiserschmarrn... Very good Montepulciano, tempered to perfection... Very friendly staff. I don't know of a better museum restaurant at the moment. Absolute recommendation! The only negative point: the chairs are not particularly back-friendly.

Was eating after my visit to the museum. I ate the Zurich Geschnetzeltes for the main course and the Kaiserschmarrn as dessert, everything was super tasty and the service was great even with a lot going on. Would love to come back for dinner

Ich hatte als Vorspeise die Gemüsepuffer und als Hauptgang wurden mir sehr schön angerichtete Bandnudeln mit Gemüse und Hähnchen serviert. Tolles Ambiente, netter Service und leckeres Essen. Ich komme gerne wieder :)

Wie spiessig kann Bonn eigentlich noch sein? Da schliesst das einzige Restaurant in Reichweite der KAH um Punkt 21.00 Uhr bei Öffnungszeiten des Museums bis 21.00 Uhr. Meinen Sie nicht, Sie könnten Nachfrage kreieren, die eine Öffnung bis 22.00 Uhr - zumindest im Sommer - rechtfertigt? . Andere Städte können das….

Nicht zu Empfehlen. Ich hatte mir einen Wurstsalat der mich auf der Karte angesprochen hatte bestellt. Es kam ein Teller mit maximal 2 Scheiben Fleischwurst in Streifen geschnitten mit einer matschigen Gurke und lieblos geschnittene Paprikastreifen. Preis Leistung hält sich hier nicht die Waage. Als ich die Rechnung bestellt habe, habe ich das Dokumentiert und wurde belächelt.

Sehr angenehme Ort und schöne Atmosphäre. Ausgezeichnet Essen trotzdem des kleinen Auswahl.

Top Speisen und super engagiertes Personal! Das Lokal ist äußerst gepflegt und gibt einem sofort ein Gefühl von Gemütlichkeit. Gustav ist auch ausserhalb eines Museumbesuches wirklich empfehlenswert. Ich komme gerne wieder mit meinem Sohn vorbei!

Das Gustav ist einer meiner liebsten Restaurant Spots. Nach einem schönen Tag im Museum, kann man dort mit einem Kaffe und Kuchen verweilen oder lecker Abend/Mittagsessen. Mein absolutes Highlight sind die Dachterasse und der Biergarten! Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, selbst wenn es mal rappel voll ist.

Ein besonderes Restaurant, in dem man außergewöhnliche und spannende Kunst erleben kann, der perfekte Abschluss für einen schönen Museumsbesuch. Unser Essen sowie der Kaiserschmarn waren sehr lecker. Vor allem das Personal hat mich mit der freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Art überzeugt. Das ganze war ein wirklich gelungener Tag und daher freue ich mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch in der Bundeskunsthalle!

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Wir wollten nach der Ausstellung dort etwas essen und trinken jedoch mussten wir ewig warten und wurden nicht bedient. Das Personal hat uns gar nicht wahrgenommen. Die nicht ansprechende einfache Kaffeemaschine und stolze 0,90€ Aufpreis für Hafermilch haben uns dann final überzeugt zu gehen und ins Café des Kunstmusuems gegenüber zu gehen. Sehr schade … ich träume von einer anderen Museums-Gastronomie, die man mit der Neueröffnung hätte nutzen können. Am SMK in Kopenhagen, am Gropius-Bau in Berlin, … warum nicht die Chance nutzen etwas Neues, Modernes und Qualitatives anzubieten? Dann zahl ich auch gern die erwarteten Preise.

Leider garnicht zu empfehlen. Wir sind seit Jahren Inhaber der ArtCard und permanente Besucher der Gastronomie gewesen. Leider ist das Ambiente sehr ungemütlich, die Karte ausgesprochen langweilig und die Preise sehr gesalzen. Wir haben für zwei Personen knapp 90€ bezahlt und hatten fades Essen und schlechten Service. Die Antwort der Bundeskunsthalle, auf unsere schriftliche Beschwerde, war unzureichend und nicht zielführend. Leider noch schlechter als das Provisorium.

Ein sehr schönes Ambiente! Der Service ist flott, zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Die Getränke wie auch das Essen sind schnell da und schmecken köstlich. Hier komme ich gerne wieder hin!!
