Grüne Tanne in Thale

Über 40 Jahre leckeres Essen. Vielleicht werden es noch einmal 40Jahre 😉.

Wollten in Thale spontan essen gehen und waren 20 Minuten vor Öffnung vor Ort. War aber kein Problem, wurden trotzdem herein gebeten. Dadurch waren wir die ersten Gäste und hatten freie Platzwahl. Getränke und Essen wurden freundlich und zügig serviert. Der Pferdegulasch war einfach hervorragend und eine klare Empfehlung.

Ein nettes, kleines Restaurant im Hinterhof mit ganz tollen Mitarbeitern und klasse Essen. Ich habe zum ersten Mal Pferdefrikadelle gegessen und es war spitze 👌🏻

Ausgezeichnete Küche mit wirklich sehr guten Spezialitäten des Hauses in wirklich geschmackvoller Qualität. Meine Empfehlung ist ganz klar: Halb und Halb mit hausgemachtem Kartoffelsalat. Besser kann man ein Pferdefleischgericht nicht zubereitet bekommen. Unsere ganze Familie fährt seit Jahren die 80 km zu besonderen Essen - Anlässen hier nach Thale und wurden nie enttäuscht.

Toll. Essen echt lecker. Bier schön gezapft, Service ganz prima. Schöne traditionelle Gaststätte.

Man kommt auf der Straße an und zögert zuerst, bis man durch die Tozufahrt geht. Im Lokal fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Alles aus den 50ern -passt gut zu uns. Kleine, übersichtliche Karte, aber man findet, was man möchte. Spezialität ist hier Pferdefleisch. Wir hatten"Halb und Halb", Frikadelle und Gulasch vom Pferd, natürlich mit Kartoffelsalat. Einfach Spitze! Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam. Einziges kleines Manko ist, dass Kartenzahlung nicht möglich ist. Wir können die "Grüne Tanne" aus bestem Herzen empfehlen.

Das Essen war großartig und der Service ausgezeichnet.

Sehr gutes Essen und aufmerksame Bedienung.

Wir haben kurzfristig, ohne Reservierung mit vier Personen einen Tisch bekommen. Das Ambiente ist eher rustikal, aber passend zu der gutbürgerlichen Küche. Die Portionen waren sehr gut bemessen und das Essen lecker. Zum Schaschlik hätten wir uns gerne eine Sauce gewünscht, da es ohne doch etwas trocken war.

Ich war hier am 03.05.2026 zusammen mit meinen Eltern, sehr spontan zu Gast da uns ein anderes Restaurant kurzfristig unseren reservierten Tisch abgesagt hatte, sehr freundliches Personal welches immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht hatte und das Essen war auch super und verdient eine eins wenn es nach Schulnoten gehen würde

Wir haben die grüne Tanne rein durch Zufall entdeckt. Unter der Woche gegen 19.30 Uhr waren wir dort und das ist auch gut so. Die Damen vom Service waren sehr freundlich und das Ambiente auch schön, wenn auch der Eingang etwas versteckt gelegen. Sicherlich ein kleiner Geheimtip für Touris (wie uns).. Mein Mann und ich haben uns für Pferd, das Gericht Halb & Halb entschieden. Sehr lecker, hat uns gut geschmeckt und der Preist ist absolut in Ordnung. Wir fühlten uns wohl und empfehlen dieses Lokal gerne weiter. Sollten wir in der Gegend um Thale wieder sein, kommen wir gerne wieder und essen Pferd. Lg aus Rostock von Fiona und Ingo

Essen war phantastisch, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und es waren sehr große Portionen. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Essen ist lecker, kurze Wartezeit und freundliches, sehr aufmerksames Personal. Der Preis ist für so eine gute Portion durchaus angemessen!

Na ja. Der Service war bemüht und in Ordnung. Ambiente höchstens o.k. Das Essen war nicht wirklich o.k. Man kann das essen, ja, aber ich finde, dass man bei der Zubereitung eines Schnitzels frisches Öl in der Pfanne haben kann. Unsere Schnitzel waren mit schwarzen Panadeklümpchen übersät die vermutlich daher rühren, dass Reste des letzten Schnitzels noch in der Pfanne waren und dabei dann eben schwarz werden. Das war nicht so schön.

Echt gemütlich und super leckeres Essen. Sehr gut wenn man auch ein bisschen mehr Hunger mitgebracht hat!

Ein uriges Zwischending zwischen Eckkneipe und Restaurant,das noch ein bisschen DDR Charme hat. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich, aber man sollte wirklich mal Pferdefleisch probieren.

Tolle Dorfkneipe. Alte Erinnerungen wurden wieder wach... Leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung. Hunde sind willkommen. Wir sehen uns bald wieder.

Sehr freundlicher Service mit ortstypischen Gerichten

Nettes kleines Restaurant und eine sehr freundliche nette Bedienung. Das Essen war gut aber nichts besonderes. Hatte Bandnudeln mit Hühnchen, Brokkoli und Zwiebel. Das Hühnchen und der Brokkoli waren lecker aber im großen und ganzen schon eine komische Kombination.

Nette Gaststätte mit einem sehr guten Speiseangebot. Hausgemachter Kartoffelsalat und Beefsteak vom Pferd 🐎 waren sehr lecker. Ich komme gerne wieder. Leider ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Dies ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

Super leckeres Essen. Schnitzel z.B. in der PFANNE- und nicht totgebraten,Pommes sehr gut,Leber ist auch sehr gut. Gulasch und Rouladen vom Pferd soll absolut gut sein, müssen wir nächsten Urlaub probieren.

The website advertises that the chef uses no artificial additives and that everything is fresh and homemade. As someone with food intolerances, my body unfortunately notices immediately when something is a "ready-made product." Unfortunately, that was the case. The food was tasty and plentiful, but the sauce was definitely not homemade. They added powder to it. Which is certainly understandable, and I don't want to blame anyone. But my body rebelled shortly afterward. Please don't advertise that there are no additives for people with food intolerances. Definitely a thumbs up for the service.

One of the few restaurants in the area where you can get a seat without a reservation. Good local and regional cuisine at a fair price, with really prompt service. We'd be happy to return ;)

Delicious food, large portions at a fair price, and very friendly and efficient staff. For my 60th birthday, we were treated to an excellent buffet, and I had a wonderful celebration in the separate dining room. We're always happy to be back. Thank you very much.

A small, unassuming restaurant with a beer garden in the courtyard, it offers a great, straightforward menu with unparalleled, home-style cooking. We had horse, and the quality was sensational.

We had a great meal here. It wasn't entirely clear what you got with the main course. You could choose between fried potatoes or something else and you had to pay extra for that, which increased the price of the dish.

Highly recommended dining. Friendly service, delicious, regional dishes at reasonable prices. The spiced meat was first-class. We happened to be sitting with a group of locals in a fairly simple, but sheltered, beer garden. We immediately struck up a conversation and had a fun evening. We felt very comfortable there and will be back.

Very nice atmosphere that goes well with the good food. Food was very hot and tasty and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It didn't take long from ordering to eating. The food is good German cuisine and everything is very fresh.

After hiking we spontaneously looked for something to eat and went to the Grüne Tanne. Small but nice, it's a good idea - the food was really delicious, there was a solyanka as a starter and a schnitzel as the main course. Really highly recommended! When we're in town again, we'll definitely go there again.

We went here twice during our vacation because we really enjoyed it the first time. We can only recommend the restaurant. Please make a reservation on weekends, otherwise everything in the beer garden is full. The portions are very generous.

Friendly staff and owner couple. Food was great. I'm very picky when it comes to potato salad. I was offered a sample, which I gratefully accepted and tried, and then I had the potato salad with my meal. We'd love to come back there.

Here you will find a small beer garden and a restaurant. On a beautiful sunny evening, we of course sat outside in the indoor area of ​​the restaurant and had dinner. Restaurant with a nice, small, partially covered beer garden. We had the tagliatelle with chicken and broccoli and the schnitzel with potato salad. The portion was huge and everything was very tasty. Also the homemade potato salad. Deserved five stars. But... the fact that there is no Cola Zero or Light in stock is unusual, but bearable. Not offering card payment is not possible these days! Why restaurants don't offer card payments, well, everyone can think for themselves. So, take some cash and visit the place. The food is worth it.

Time-honored inn. Quaint atmosphere. Service friendly. Schnitzel with homemade potato salad was okay to good. About the potato salad: Quote from the website: “The homemade potato salad has been very popular with all guests for 60 years” - potatoes with sour mayo dressing (there is nothing else in it) - was, well, suitable for shared accommodation, nothing more. The highlight is the homemade salad side dishes, really good! There were nuggets and fries for the child. Quote from the website: “The deep fryer is used in our company exclusively to prepare French fries”. Now the question remains what the frozen nuggets were prepared in;)…the whole thing for just under 10eur, understandably you have to charge 1eur for ketchup/mayo.;) All in all, it was all too little, we certainly won't be coming back. Horse meat lovers might get their money's worth here, but we didn't try it.

On the homepage it says that only the fries come from the deep fryer, unfortunately that's not true, which were *chicken crossies* TK - nuggets ..it's a shame that something like this isn't freshly prepared for children.. Ketchup and mayo are only available with a surcharge Price/performance not appropriate

There were six of us for dinner. The service was very friendly & professional. The food came at the same time, was hot and really tasty!! Nach 30 Jahren wieder in der Tanne gewesen und Halb&halb mit Kartoffelsalat gehabt. Wie damals, sehr lecker. Nur die Portion war leider kleiner als früher. Wir kommen wieder.

Man bekommt genau das Ambiente, was man in Thale erwartet.Leckeres, gut bürgerliches Essen mit sehr freundliches Service.Ich hatte eine Pferderoulade, mein Mann Steak au four... beides toll. Das Einzige, was mich verwundert hat, eine Bedienung setzte sich zur Hauptstosszeit an einen Tisch und aß Abendbrot. Hätte ich sicher anders gelöst. Trotzdem gern 5 Sterne.

Was Geil war, es steht nicht mehr zum anbieten, nicht mehr auf Karte. Dafür gibt es Rind auf den Seite von Pferde-Gerichten, Gulasch gibt es anstatt Pferde-Steak, aber ob es Rindergulasch oder Pferde Gulasch ist, habe ich auch nicht mehr gefragt. Es gibt überwiegend Schwein. Und eine Hänchen Gerichte. Pferde Fleisch ist teuer. Tja. Und? Dann muss man Preis erhöhen und es zum Gast weiter geben: wer geht Pferd essen in eine Pferd Restaurant, wird auch zahlen. Ich wollte aber dürfte nicht. Und wenn keine Gerichte da steht, wovon Restaurant bekannt geworden ist, Überlegung wert sollte sein andere Deko und neue Karte und Angebote machen, irgendwas... Dame war nett beim Bedienung, sie kam zum Tisch nachzufragen ob es uns schmeckt und doch... Es sollte so sein und es ist desto heutzutage nicht mehr so. Egal wohin ich gehe. Sie fragt nach, ob ich noch was trinken will?! Also hier gab richtige und echte Kellnerin, aber was nicht an sie hängt, hat mich nicht überzeugt. Ganz ehrlich. Tut mir leid. Ahh, doch. Eins... Preis-Leistung! Als Leipziger! Hier willst du eine Rechnung mit solchen Summen nie irgendwo bekommen. Kann ich mir kaum vorstellen.
