Gründel´s in Siegen

Today we had an excellent meal at Grundel's. The service was friendly and responded to our requests. We were there with our Ridgeback dog, dogs are welcome (as long as they are not bigger than a pony). The schnitzels are freshly prepared and taste great. If we have another chance to win, we'll come back.

As part of a group of 15, I can report mostly positive things. The friendly staff were so well organized that everyone received the food at the same time, which had to be pre-ordered due to Christmas Day. The drink order was quickly taken and brought to the tables pushed together. The hygiene in the toilets was good, the background music from the 80s80s radio station wasn't too loud and exactly my taste. Speaking of taste. My fillet steak was very good, the doneness was spot on - as ordered. My side dish and the “inherited” fries from the next table also tasted good. Nothing negative was heard from 13 adults about the food. It's not enough to give it a 5 star because some dishes were only lukewarm. The price-performance ratio is right, I can recommend Grundel's.

ABSOLUTELY NAUGHTY! We will no longer visit this resteraunt. You walk in and are ignored by the arrogant “boss”. If you then ask where you should/may sit, you get a stroppy answer. Several times we were simply put in the last corner of the restaurant, even though the whole place was still empty and there was seating everywhere. When the "boss" finally manages to come to the table to take the orders, you can see how listless and unfriendly she is, she is downright annoyed by normal, nice guests. The good reviews are 100% friends of the operators, otherwise they wouldn't write "friendly staff" because that's really not the case at all. The food was always top out of 10 visits, but you can't say anything against that. The chef is the only reason we went there and why the place is still holding up. Nobody would go there if it didn't taste so good. "Boss" absolutely arrogant, when we pointed out that a drink tasted like alcohol, she said directly "we don't put alcohol in our colas" and the coke tasted completely like wihiskey or something similar. A normal person would say to guests, "Oh I'm very sorry, I'll get you a new one straight away" but no, as a guest you are portrayed as a liar. "The boss just sits at the front, stares at her cell phone and is apparently absolutely lazy, cheeky and dissatisfied with her life. Food yes, staff NO! Don't let the good reviews influence you, they are friends and relatives of the local operators who also treat them completely differently become.

The atmosphere is cozy and modern. The service was warm and friendly. The food was great 👍👍👍

It was delicious. Price was okay. But I don't understand why a restaurant like this serves mayo and ketchup out of little packets. At 60 cents I find it too expensive and anything but environmentally friendly.

Our regular restaurant for years. The food is of consistently good quality and tastes great. The “Califonia” schnitzel is my absolute highlight, although all the other dishes are also highly recommended. The service is always friendly and ready to say something nice. If you want to have a good home-style meal, this is the right place.

Our schnitzels were great! Delicious, tender and perfectly seasoned. The employee was friendly & funny. We would come back at any time. Thank you for the delicious food.

The food was good. However, when the opening times are 10 p.m., I find it very rude to ask guests to leave at 9 p.m. Without explanation!!! Very unfortunate

Still one of the best restaurants in Siegen in terms of quality. All dishes are homemade and of good quality. Always happy for years.

'n Typisch Duits restaurantje. Beetje saai, maar dat is ook typisch Duits. Bediening was vriendelijk, het eten was lekker. Hier staat nog de seniorenschnitzel op de kaart.

Schattiger Außenbereich, super an heißen sonnigen Tagen. Sehr freundlicher Service, Speisen werden frisch zubereitet, ordentlich großzügige Portionen. Gerne wieder.

Endlich etwas gemütliches, ohne Döner oder Pizza. Bin froh das ich seit langer Zeit nochmal hineingefunden habe. Essen sehr gut, Preisleitung sehr gut, Bier schmeckt.

Kleine gemütliche Kneipe. Die Karte ist recht übersichtlich, es werden verschiedene Salate geboten, Schnitzel, Pfannengerichte, aber auch Steaks. Ausserdem gibt es aktuell eine Spargelkarte. Das Essen schmeckt. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt. Immer wieder gerne.

Es war herrlich bei Frank und seinem Team, mit einer großen Gruppe von 28 Teilnehmern in schöner Atmosphäre am Sonntag mittags speisen, wir haben vorbestellt, das war prima, flotte Bedienungen, leckeres Essen - wir sagen vielen Dank! Wieder einmalmit einer größeren Truppe ein Treffen organisiert und wieder einmal passte alles. Schöner großer Tisch im hinteten Bereich, leckere Krüstchen in diversen Variationen vorher bestellt und alle wurden zeitgleich gebracht. Einzig die Tatsache, dass Frank und sein Team die Gaststätte so früh schließen (22.00 Uhr) sorgte dafür, dass das Ende schneller als gewünscht kam....

Alles in Allem hat es uns recht gut gefallen und geschmeckt.

Top Service. TOP deutsches Essen. Preis - Leistung - "Immer gerne" wieder. Wir waren das erste und gewiss nicht das letzte Mal dort! Gegessen haben wir 2 X Krüstchen - ein Saisongericht mit Spargel - und eine Züricher Pfanne. Alles war mehr als ok. So was habe ich mir erhofft. Nicht immer die Italiener - die Griechen - die Chinesen - die anderen. Bodenständige deutsche Küche wie vor noch 30 Jahren oft im Siegerland zu finden. Fairer Preis - gute Portion und gut kombiniert.

Wartezeit über eine Stunde auf das Essen Viel zu lange
