宿から比較的近くのドイツ料理店を探したらここができたので、早速行ってみた。 ドイツ料理店らしい雰囲気もいいし、料理もおいしくて盛がよくて、とてもよかった。 地元の人気店なんだろう、夕食の時間にはまだ間があるというのに、観光客には見えない人たちで賑わっていた。 ブレテとケーニヒ・ルートヴィヒのへレスを頼んだ。ビールは直ちに、料理も割とすぐに出てきた。 ブレテはハンバーグのようなものでベルリン名物だが、こんなに大きいのは初めてだ。もっと小ぶりで平べったいものを食べてきたが、ここのは大きくて丸い。そして、手作り。 付け合わせのジャガイモも添えてあるサラダもたっぷり。 これで13ユーロ代は安いと思う。他の料理も手ごろな値段だった。（もっとも昨今の円安を考慮すれば、決して安くはないが。） 変わっていたのは、パンとハーブ・クリーム・チーズが付いてきたこと。ドイツ料理では、パンはスープやサラダに付くもので、肉や魚には付くのは何らかのジャガイモ料理だと思っていた。両方出てくるのはあまり経験がない。 またドイツに来ることがあったらぜひ再訪したい。

We were in the Groschenkeller for the first time on Saturday. Even though I didn't make a reservation and the restaurant was fully booked, we were moved back and forth and we were allowed to stay. Since we're coming back, I'll make a reservation next time (promise). We will come back because there is sensationally delicious German cuisine here, the staff is friendly and the ambience is right. A really good tip for the south of Berlin!

We were there on a Wednesday evening. Reservations are recommended. The food is really good, serving regional cuisine. The service is very attentive and even includes the occasional funny comment. It won't be our last visit to the restaurant.

Anyone who likes delicious home-style food, in good portions and wants to have it served and enjoyed by the friendly staff in a cozy environment without hurting their wallet. He stops there and lets his palate be pampered. Reservation is recommended. Unfortunately the sauerbraten was already gone. I'm looking forward to that on my next visit. 👍☺️

You have to like restaurants like the Groschenkeller, then you'll have a lot of fun. It has everything you would expect from a Berlin inn, even if the menu seems a bit overambitious at one point or another. The food itself was okay, but quite greasy. Despite the stress, the service was friendly and warm.

Our favorite restaurant and small Berlin oasis of well-being. Not only does the food always taste great (typical German cuisine), but all the service is also simply great. Mondays are always schnitzel day, where you can choose from 5 schnitzels. Depending on the season, you can also get knuckle, pork knuckle or goose in addition to the normal menu. There are also small dishes for small appetites. Over the years we have eaten our way through the entire menu and it was all really, really tasty. It is now difficult to get a table without a reservation. Therefore my tip: always reserve in advance. 😉 It's also time to thank you in this way for the always great service and delicious food. So much Berlin warmth, nice guests around you and the delicious food makes us happy to visit you again and again. It's nice that you exist 👍

So we had our Christmas party there and were really happy. Personally, the red cabbage was way too cinnamony for me, but that's a matter of taste. Otherwise we were all completely satisfied. A beautiful "Old Berlin" restaurant with star-level food at really fair prices. In my opinion, a real insider tip and recommended without reservation. It is advisable to reserve in advance on special days, otherwise you might not get a place (the insider tip isn't that secret after all 😉). I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit to the Groschenkeller.

A very nice, rustic restaurant. Nice service with a Berlin snout. The food is delicious, very good home cooking. No star cuisine creations, but absolutely solid food. In addition to normal Berlin / German dishes, we also try something new, such as avocado tartare with grilled shrimp. We will be happy to come back!

Had dinner there today with my friend, we are very satisfied. We had veal schnitzel with homemade potato salad and side salad and it was by far the best schnitzel we both ate. Great 👍🏼👌🏼. We will be back soon and recommend you. You felt very comfortable.

Nice staff, but overwhelmed. Food miserable. Sorry, but that's just how it was that day. Was just before Christmas. Maybe that was it. Everyone wanted goose leg. The kitchen was overwhelmed. It was barely edible, the kale was sour.

Just great & warm. The food was great and the portions filled you up. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I would say that the profession is still being learned here. From the outside we probably wouldn't have gone straight in, but the Google reviews convinced us and we can now confirm that. We had spaetzle, kale, liver and schnitzel. Everything was very tasty. We didn't finish the cheese spaetzle and took the rest home with us. The next day they were still delicious 😉

The Groschenkeller has been around for ages and has been under new management since 2019. Great food, great rooms and super friendly service... We were very satisfied, the portions are very generous and the price/performance ratio is very good. We would be happy to come back

Great restaurant. We had our Christmas party yesterday. 70 minutes by public transport. It was worth it. Everything was fresh. Compliments to the kitchen. The service was so great, quick and friendly. It was noticeable that their guests were still welcome. Many thanks to this great team.

The only drawback is that it is relatively expensive. Otherwise everything was wonderful. The owner was also on site. Her friendly manner also made you feel very comfortable. Good restaurant, recommended

I tried a plate of veal liver with onions, apples and puree. It was a real treat, I would come back to Berlin on purpose.

This restaurant is an absolute recommendation! We ate the highly recommended goose with eight people. Not only was it reasonably priced, but above all it was the side dishes (I've never had kale so good; everyone can do red cabbage) that were exceptionally good and clearly different from the multitude of other restaurants in a positive sense. The service is exceptional and particularly remarkable: never intrusive but always warm and friendly. This is how gastronomy should be!

A quaint restaurant with very nice and helpful service. Monday is schnitzel day, when you can get a large, very tasty schnitzel (4 different versions) with a side dish for just under 12 euros. The price-performance ratio is simply unbeatable and we always like to come back. Thank you for your great work and your offer.

As an irish man living in Berlin, I would highly recommend this place, typical German food, which is remarkable in Berlin. And when I have family and friends from, Ireland, UK or Canada. This will be my first stop.

The atmosphere of Belin from the 1970s and 1980s, dishes that are increasingly difficult to find in the era of domination of döner and Far Eastern restaurants. A unique matjas, although Dutch, it is thoroughly German. Even though the waiter was struggling with the excess of orders, he did not let the customers feel it and accepted the next ones with casual small talk. Worth a visit, real German cuisine.

We had booked a table for 10 people and the chef cooked extra pork knuckle for some of us. The food was very tasty and a lot. We were also served very nicely. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant.

Wiener Schnitzel excellent. The only thing I personally don't like is when the schnitzel is on top of the potato salad. But otherwise it's very tasty. Service courteous and very nice. However, if you have special requests, e.g. potatoes instead of dumpling, you have to ask first. Even when eating traditional goose, you don't have the choice between breast or leg. Personally, I think that's a shame. Otherwise, good home cooking, very nicely prepared.

Schnitzel Monday in the Penny Cellar, not enough schnitzel but the schnitzel will fill you up! Went to dinner at the Groscheneller today and it was really tasty! There was only schnitzel, which is OK on Schnitzel Monday! The food comes to the table quickly and fresh and, more importantly, it tastes delicious and there are good portions to fill you up. The waitresses are nice and friendly and also try to fulfill special requests! But you should definitely make a reservation (especially on Monday) because it's really difficult to be lucky..... It won't be the last time I've been there because it was simply delicious!!!!

We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. As before, it was very tasty, especially the liver dumpling soup. Here you feel comfortable according to the motto: "Feed like your mother."

I can only recommend the Groschen Keller. Nice atmosphere and very friendly service. The kitchen offers home cooking in the best sense and regular seasonal promotions. For Oktoberfest I had the knuckle with sauerkraut and fried potatoes. The sauerkraut was delicious and finally a knuckle with a crust. I'll definitely come back.

Came on recommendation. Had a reservation, it worked out well. Monday is schnitzel day, there is only schnitzel. They could have told us when we handed over the entire menu. The service didn't explain anything and overall they weren't very attentive - they felt totally stressed. Forgot to reorder drinks, it was on the house - great, but one more star. Schnitzel was better than expected. We ended up disappointed

What a great authentic restaurant. Classic home cooking prepared very tasty at a fair price. No fancy stuff, just simply perfect. You should be hungry. The portions are plentiful and of very good quality. It's worth driving through half the city. The two ladies from the service are absolute class. They are funny and you can tell that they enjoy their job. Unfortunately, it's rare. Definitely not the last time there.

Great place with great food and an interesting history

We had a great dinner, very courteous service, delicious food and sat very comfortably on the terrace Update August 19, 2024 Despite a reservation for three people made the day before (table on the terrace), we were more or less turned away and directed to a table inside!!! Very disappointing, especially a shame for my friends' long journey!!!

I'm from Düsseldorf and wanted to go to the Groschenkeller today and had personally reserved a table outside yesterday. Arrived at the appropriate time today and suddenly it was said that we would be late and that we could only sit inside in the stuffy interior or not at all. I have never experienced such poor service and treatment of customers. Didn't even suggest a solution except indoors. You may no longer need it!

We are Bärliners and live on the Lauenburg Lake District. Opposite is the Groschenkeller. Despite good competitors nearby, the restaurant is the best in the neighborhood for my magic mouse and me. Since no one is perfect, I would like a bitter beer wish.To the team: Keep it up!!!
