Grimms Bistro in Kassel

I feel sick. I really don't like eating here. Some of the food is inedible (see photo). This bistro is really only for emergencies. They throw all the leftover vegetables into the wraps, which ruins the taste. You can't even rely on the fries there.

I ate here regularly for a while in August 2024. I was mostly satisfied; the price-performance ratio was really good. There were about three different dishes to choose from daily, one of which was always vegetarian. The staff is very friendly and usually in a good mood! Seconds are always welcome if you're not full right away. The portion sizes are usually perfectly sufficient, though. It's worth a visit! By the way, it's really cozy to sit outside, especially in warm weather!

I highly recommend the fried fish, gyros (shredded meat), burgers, fries, pasta with Gorgonzola sauce, potatoes, and the chili dip. The portions are decently large, and you can get seconds for free if you need them. The staff is friendly and often laughs along with you. The place has a cafeteria-like feel. It's perfect for a quick bite to eat.

I had lunch here while attending the language school. It seems there are separate fees for visitors and staff. You choose one of three different menu items that change daily(?) and ask the chef to serve you the food. Vegetables were served in small portions, each with a moderate portion. Personally, I was very satisfied because I was able to eat my fill of delicious food at a reasonable price! The system was a bit confusing, which was a bit of a downside, but I would recommend it to anyone taking part in the VHS program.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't tasty at all. Salad surcharge of €2.60 for a small bowl, dessert inedible, tasted like water or cheap yogurt, and was also overpriced.

Freundlicher Service. Qualifizierter ausgezeichneter Koch (in Person anwesend). Unverhältnismäßig günstig.

Preiswert, schnell und gut. Mittags immer gut besucht von den Mitarbeitern des Landratsamtes und der Volkshochschule. Man kann also auch mal den Landrat oder einen der Lokalpolitiker treffen. Selbstbedienung, Tagesgerichte, Salatbuffet - alles da.

Für alle die frühstücken wollen: Es gibt ein Frühstück für zwei incl. Eintritt in die Grimm Welt (zumindest als ich dort war). Das nur mal vorab. Essen/Getränke: Super lecker und frisch, freundliches Personal und eine tolle Aussicht auf Kassel.

Hier werden immer wieder mal Themenabende veranstaltet. Dieses mal war es italienisch. Da es sich um eine Kantine handelt, ist es nicht besonders gemütlich. Die Begrüssung war sehr herzlich. Wir hatten das Gefühl, das hier sehr viele Stammgäste anwesend waren. Der Service war sehr flott. Nur für das Bezahlen brauchte man Geduld, da nur eine Person dafür zuständig war. Nachdem alle Gäste mit Getränken versorgt waren, wurde die Vorspeise serviert. Anschliesend wurde das Buffet eröffnet. Die angebotenen Speisen waren sehr lecker. Auch wurde immer sofort nachgelegt wenn etwas zur Neige ging.
