The food was very tasty, although the onions were a bit too mild. The food seemed fresh, contrary to other reviews. The decor was very simple, more suited for takeout. However, the staff member was very friendly. Good price.

It's disgusting that the spit is hanging there all weekend, in the evenings, at night, at any time when the shop is closed. It's a recipe for food poisoning.

The gyro is really, really good, and the fries are just as good. The pita is thick and prepared very carefully (not "quick-quick"). The selection is limited, but of a very high quality. We will gladly return and hopefully return often.

Absolutely outrageous! I ordered €16 and got half-raw fries on my plate, completely inedible and simply disgusting. The meat was okay, but the tzatziki was way too spicy. I received no response to my complaint, not even a small refund. Even €2 would have shown that they take their customers seriously. But nothing, absolutely nothing! This kind of service is completely unacceptable. If you're going to charge such prices, the quality should be right too. Instead, you get substandard food and zero response from the restaurant. It's clear to me: I'll never order from here again. Absolutely disappointing and not worth a single star!

I've known the owners for decades. The gyros are delicious, and so is the tzatziki. A definite recommendation.

There were two long hairs in my pita. Addendum to the answer: I have blonde hair and my boyfriend is bald, so it definitely wasn't my hair. And I do think it has something to do with quality when there are hairs in the food, as it's simply unhygienic.

Hey. Well, the shop itself was great. I've been going there for over 20 years – but the quality is slowly starting to decline. When I order something to go and then get home and realize that the tzatziki is missing and the rice noodles smell bad and taste sweet and sour, I have a problem with that. They were past their prime. Unfortunately, it went in the trash, and with it, my desire to come back again disappeared. €20 – a real shame. I would have liked to say it in person, but driving back another 20 minutes… oh well. All the best ✌🏻

I owned this workshop in 2003. We made a good living, especially during Carnival. The time passed very well. We made many wonderful memories. We had to sell our workshop for unfortunate reasons. It's a very nice place. I recommend it to everyone. See you soon.

I ordered a gyro with salad: €13. He then asked me if I wanted tzatziki with it. Of course (€1.50 extra). In the end, I realized that gyro with tzatziki and coleslaw was €14.50, extortionate.

After I asked about that too (another €2 surcharge), I got my gyro plate – fries, gyro, tzatziki, and coleslaw for €14.50, not even mayo. How can you even call a gyro plate a gyro plate without tzatziki/coleslaw? Disgraceful!

Unfortunately, this store didn't convince us. The service was very friendly. The food was way too expensive and not that great for the price. Sorry won't come back again.

Over 10 years ago, a former colleague recommended this grill station to me. I tried it out right away and can recommend it 100 percent. Every time I visit Cologne, usually after concerts, I've made a stop there. Just yesterday, this time before a concert in the bright light, a first for me. The nice lady prepared a fantastic gyro pita for me with fresh ingredients. Hats off, and keep it up! My clear recommendation for Cologne. Best wishes to the team.

10€ for a half-filled pita and 7€ for fries with mayo at Carnival. This is how you alienate regular customers. It's a shame that you have to exaggerate so much in the pursuit of profit.

I was there on February 21, 2025, I had something to do nearby. Nice little snack bar with a few seats. What was on display looked tasty. I then ordered gyros with fries, shish kebab sauce and mayo. Then just with onions, because the extra charge for tzatziki of €1.50 was too much for me. The gyros and side dishes were really tasty, the portion size was ok. The prices are on the upper level in relation to the location, but the taste was good. The service on site was friendly, I would eat here again if I were nearby...

This shop was recommended to me as a gyros institution in downtown Cologne. Don't know why: €16.30 for gyros, fries, tzatziki and a 0.33l drink. Sporty price and the fries were there too long. The gyro was ok, but I won't eat here again.

Unfortunately it has worn off a lot. Prices too high. The gyros are cut electrically, so they are very thin and dry. The fries and salad are good. The portions are rather large. The plates are too small and everything mixes together and therefore becomes soggy and cold. In need of renovation.

The ambience is really not inviting and doesn't exactly invite you to linger: the light is far too bright, the furniture seems to be from the 90s and the rooms seem quite cold and dreary. The saleswoman seemed very friendly and nice, but that's the only plus point. When I saw the price for a pita: €8, I was amazed. The pita itself was okay, but nothing more. The meat content was far too small and the flatbread was rolled up so loosely that it was difficult to hand it over to me at the counter. The price-performance ratio is just bad.

Dear people, Absand has the best gyros pita here!!! And that's only 40 years old! Back then, the dough was of course made in-house, but that is of course no longer possible today due to the time and effort and the euro. But that doesn't devalue the gyros pita. Back in 1983 we drove from the deepest Sauerland (approx. 60 km) to Cologne specifically for the gyros. Yesterday we were there again and ate the absolutely delicious gyros pita and we had two more packed up and taken with us for the journey! The meat is always great, the tzatziki is absolutely delicious and the salad is always fresh. Simply delicious!!!! And the price is perfectly fine, the chef also lives in 2024 and has to buy the ingredients and pay for them in euros. In short everything is fine!!! Of course also the service!!! And as I said, it's been 40 years!!! We always enjoy coming to Cologne for this!!! The best gyros pita far and wide!!!!! Greetings 💪👌👌👌

It was horrible, we ordered there out of desperation. Knew it was a mistake beforehand. A delivery time of 35 minutes was shown, which then increased to 90 minutes. But it's good to wait, but only for a cancellation notice to be sent to you after 120 minutes?🤬🤬🤬 That was just blatantly rude and unprofessional, I hope this store goes bankrupt. Simply canceling beforehand is good.

Auf der Suche nach einem Gyrosgrill sind wir hier gelandet und waren vom Ambiente als auch von der Bedienung angetan und wollten dort essen. Für uns gab es ein Schnitzel mit Pommes und den klassischen Gyrosteller. Eins vorab; ich habe definitiv schlechter gegessen, aber für solch ein Ambiente und der Location, war es leider nicht ausreichend für eine bessere Rezensionen. Das Schnitzel war nur mit TK-Ware zubereitet, sodass weder das Fleisch, noch die Soße geschmeckt hat. Beim Gyrossah es etwas besser aus, aber auch dieses konnte uns nicht überzeugen. Das Fleisch war eher trocken und weder Salat noch Zaziki hatte ich inen Geschmack. Alles eher Durchschnitt. Ich persönlich hatte besser gegessen, aber auch schlechter. Ich wünschte mir eine bessere Bewertung abgeben zu können.

Das schlechteste Gyros,das ich je gegessen habe. Trocken und geschmacklos. Pommes haben auch nicht geschmeckt. Das ich mir das Essen am Tresen abholen muss,obwohl ich alleine im Laden bin, passt da gut ins Bild. Nie wieder!

Das Essen war gut. Hätte lieber Gyros gegessen. Hatte eine Currywurst. Die Sauce und die Pommes waren richtig lecker, die Wurst fand ich irgendwie komisch. Ich kann es nicht genau beschreiben,die Konsistenz und die Farbe waren komisch. Aber nicht schlecht. Naja das Ambiente lässt schon zu wünschen übrig. Eine Renovierung wäre dringend nötig. Es sieht hakt nicht wirklich einladend aus. Service war ok.

Kurz und knapp nicht zu empfehlen. Wir waren zu dritt und haben jeweils eine Gyros Pita bestellt. Zwei von uns hatten danach Magenbeschwerden und Durchfall. Der dritte hatte keinen Salat auf seiner Gyros Pita, der Glückliche.

Wir sind heute Abend zum ersten Mal bei euch gewesen, das Essen war lecker und die Portionen groß genug, um davon satt zu werden. Die Preise sind für die Lage durchaus angemessen. Das Tsatziki war toll, da es nicht so knoblauchlastig ist. Der Krautsalat war durch die "Weißwein-Note" für mich etwas ganz besonderes. Definitiv nicht unser letzter Besuch

Wir haben bestellt über lieferando. Das Essen war gut und alle ,,Extrawünsche" wurden beabsichtigt. Top, werden dort wieder bestellen.

Super leckerer Gyros, dass Fleisch ist immer Frisch und der Laden super sauber.

Hören nicht zu wenn man bestellt und geben irgendwas raus, dafür sind die Preise zu hoch ....

Auf Google steht, dass der Laden um 12 aufmacht. 13:15 war immer noch geschlossen. Auf der Tür steht 13 Uhr als Öffnungszeit am Sonntag. Dann an die Tür geklopft, weil da jemand saß. Die Person sieht mich, und geht weg, ignoriert mich. Um 13:30, Nach 15 Minuten Wartezeit dann Schnauze voll. Da geh ich lieber woanders hin. Bin eine Stunde lang extra von weiter weg hin gekommen. Enttäuschend. Unprofessionell.

Ich muss sagen ich bin schon enttäuscht, ich habe für 12€ was sehr überteuert ist mir einen Gyros Teller geholt😕 da es aber schon 5 Uhr nachts war und ich echt Hunger hatte, habe ich da mal drüber weg gesehen… geschmacklich okay… aber der Reis war eine Katastrophe total trocken und nicht mal die Art von Reis, die es sonst immer beim Griechen gibt. Also war ok aber definitiv nicht nochmal

Ich war früher regelmäßig hier und IMMER absolut begeistert. Gestern seit langem mal wieder hier gewesen und hatte mich auf lecker Gyros gefreut. Leider die komplette Enttäuschung. Das Fleisch schmeckt pappig und ist, obwohl es kross aussieht echt labberig. Die Pommes waren mittelmäßig gewürzt und ebenfalls nicht kross. Das Tzaziki war ok. Selbst die Zwiebeln haben enttäuscht, da deutlich zu groß geschnitten. Nein danke

Der Imbiss hat auch nachts durchgehend geöffnet. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und man wartet nicht lange auf das Essen. Geschmacklich ist es in Ordnung, aber mir persönlich zu wenig Fleisch in der Gyros Pita und dafür zu viel Tzatziki.

Einer meiner absoluten Drehspießfavoriten in Köln. Man bekommt ein schmackhaftes Tzaziki-Gyros-Pita. Die Portionsgröße ist reichlich (500-600g). Für mich eine willkommene Abwechslung zu den ganzen Kölner Dönersandwiches. Speisen zu Ortspreisen.

Ich hole mit dort immer gerne eine Gyros-Pommes-Box die vorallem beim Feiern echt lecker schmeckt, wenn man da mal Hunger bekommt. Portionen machen auf jeden Fall satt! Die nette Frau ist auch sehr zuvorkommend zu den Lieferanten! :)

Atmosphäre und Service wie immer in den letzten Jahren unverändert. Wir waren zu dritt und haben Gyros mit Zaziki gegessen. Bei der Qualität des Fleisches kein Vergleich zu den letzten Jahren, alt und absolut zu trocken und ich hatte den Eindruck , das dieser Spieß mit dem Gleisch sich bereits seit mehreren Tagen drehte - daher wohl auch diese schlechte Konsistenz. Wir waren alle sehr enttäuscht, denn ich hatte stets behauptet, dort das weltbeste Gyros zu bekommen. Schade, denn ich habe dort in den zurückligenden Jahren mehr als hundertmal gegessen und war stets begeistert. Auch stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis inzwischen nicht mehr: 36,50 € für 3 x Gyrosfleisch mit Zazike und 3 Cola halte ich für übertrieben und nicht angemessen. An diesem Eindruck sollte mann dringend arbeiten.

Ein freundlicher griechischer Mann hat mir ein Teller Gyros komplett fertig gemacht, den ich mir selber holen musste ,obwohl niemand sonst da war, aber OK. Und jetzt geht's los: ich hatte richtig Kohldampf aber die Fritten waren geschmacklich im Keller, der gem. Salat hat wässerig geschmeckt . Kein Essig/Öl oder Sauce = wässerig❗ Der Gyros war reichlich ,aber kleingehexelt,- das mag ich nicht. Bezahlt habe ich ,mit der Cola 12€ Fazit : Die Cola in der Glasflasche, war gut, auch ohne Glas.

Gyros ist in Ordnung, tzaziki sehr flüssig. Alles in allem echt ok aber wenn man einmal bei iltis grill in Ossendorf war ist alles andere einfach nicht vergleichbar.

Früher gut, mittlerweile viel zu teuer und Qualität minderwertig. Danke für die Lebensmittelvergiftung. ✌️

Leider früher deutlich besser gewesen. Habe gerne hier gegessen, aber die Preise sind deutlich gestiegen und die Qualität leider gesunken. Das Fleisch hat leider zudem komisch gerochen, sodass ich davon nichts probieren wollte. Besser so, denn meine Begleitung hatte nach dem Verzehr Magen-Darm-Beschwerden.
