So either I caught a day when they ran out of tzatziki and they used the one from Aldi, or no one ever noticed. I wouldn't bet on it being exactly the same tzatziki from Aldi, or on whether it's "homemade," but it tastes exactly like the one from Aldi. The meat quality and seasonings are good.

Best gyros in Cologne! We live opposite the Pfeiler Grill and have been there several times. The quality is really consistently good. Meat top! Side dishes are great! Great fries! You can even sit relatively comfortably for a snack. Of course you have to burn all your clothes afterwards, but I've never experienced that differently at a snack bar. The owners are also very nice. You always feel welcome. There is also pizza. I've never eaten it personally but a friend said it was delicious. So absolute recommendation 😎

I never have cash, everything is on my card on my phone and that's why unfortunately I can never eat here. Something urgently needs to be done to the air extraction. The guest room has very poor air quality. After eating you smell like a chip shop. This is really unpleasant and I already know several people who only come and eat outside in the summer.

Ordered on a Sunday evening via Lieferando at 6:25 p.m. Delivery should take 50 minutes. After about 2 hours of “preparation” the order was canceled by the restaurant. The tip that had already been paid was withheld. I can understand that things can get a bit busy at this time and it may not be possible to respond to every order, but to simply keep the customer waiting and not inform them in a timely manner? Now we're sitting here, Sunday evening, and have nothing to eat. Thank you.

Very, very tasty gyros with tzatziki! In my opinion, it's at the top of the Cologne Gyros League in terms of taste. Friendly and very fast service! When paying, we had to help count the drinks, otherwise the coin office would have been overloaded.

On June 23rd, 2024 we decided to get food from the Pfeiler Grill. A Swiss crust with fries. This is a schnitzel with ham and cheese gratinated, and a cream schnitzel with fries. He had the fries packed separately. While preparing it, my partner read the Sunday Express, which was on the table to the right. The food was packed in piles on top of each other. Sauce from the cream schnitzel had leaked out. At the top were the two fries, underneath a plastic plate with cream schnitzel, at the bottom the Swiss crust in the plastic plate. Both just covered with aluminum foil. I unwrapped the paper-wrapped two portions of fries, which fell everywhere during unwrapping. Then I took the aluminum foil off the Swiss crust and couldn't believe my eyes: a squishy meal. The cheese was stuck everywhere. There was no sign of the Swiss crust. A real mess. The food wasn't warm either. I was really angry and called. I had my son-in-law on the phone and said I wanted to complain and started bluntly. What a mess it is, how you handle the food so carelessly and don't package the food protectively. Such food should be in proper packaging, e.g. the HP4 menu box, which is stable. The lid of the menu box protects the food from pressure and keeps it warm. Why simple plastic plates for several dishes? And why stacked on top of each other? Why not wrap the fries individually? Everything was carelessly stacked in a plastic bag, which squashed the food. I was really angry and we paid dear money for that. The son-in-law listened quietly, which I thought was very good. I felt understood. He literally said to me. Come by and you'll get your money back and you can keep the food. I thanked him and my partner went to the Pfeiler Grill. Our dogs got the squishy crust before it ended up uselessly in the trash. When my partner came into the store, the daughter was standing at the checkout with such a nasty look on her face and refused to give back the money she had previously promised. She suddenly demanded the food back. Without food, there is no money. My partner explained to her what had been agreed over the phone, that her husband said that we would get the money back and keep the food. She complained and one word led to another. She called her husband, but he didn't respond at all and accused my partner of saying he could have said which packaging the food should be put in. Since when do customers have to tell staff how to do their work? Any sane person knows how to pack and then pack food well. In the bakery, no saleswoman puts the bread on the cream cake. You should have a little understanding and sensitivity about your work and not blame the customers for it. The discussion escalated and the heavily pregnant daughter became spiteful and nasty. Neither couple showed any understanding and refused to pay out the money. We should stay away forever and never come back. We have been loyal customers for over 20 years and picked up food once or twice a week, even when we had guests at home. We always had nice contact with the bosses, with the employees, with the daughter. It was a friendly approach and then you get pushed in the head, made fun of and made fun of. Promises are not kept. We are very disappointed and hurt by the Oraiopoulos/ Pfeiler Grill family. We have left over EUR 20,000 behind over the years and our daughter is trying to keep her word. This is not how you treat customers who have been loyal for decades. The customer is king. All I can say about your answer and your behavior is... incompetent, lying, disrespectful, embarrassing and low-class. If you have a video, watch the video properly!! P.S.: ...I ate the cream schnitzel. It was all about the Swiss crust. Understanding this properly is too much for you. Sorry🙄

But not with me! I don't know where to start complaining. Food very expensive mayo / tzatiki and co. Everything overpriced. Food was never good! Always a happy thing the way you get your food these days. When you go to the store to order food, the customer may also have to hear that he will no longer get gyros because everything is intended for Lieferando. Hey, get it straight, people. If something like that happens, and it has happened to me a few times now, then you should rethink your logistics. But you can't send the customer home because everything is reserved even though the gyro skewer is being fried in front of me. That's anti-social! All in all I can only say one thing. Arrogance and disinterest in the matter. The funny thing is the cash register rings (no matter how). Quality standard and really nothing special like others here on the site praise the store highly. In short, the Pfeiler Grill is one of, if not THE, snack highlight in Ihrfeld. The gyro plate (GT) is top class; in my circle of friends it is not for nothing that it is considered the Margot Robbie among the GTs. An absolute hit, there is also the legendary Taxi Teller on the menu, a cherry on top that you rarely find in the city with a K. The food also comes quickly even when things are a little busier, the ambience is top-notch by snack bar standards and the waitresses definitely live on Ja-sehr-gerne-Street. Clearly in need of repetition!

Been there three times in the last few years, each time with currywurst and fries. You can pay seven euros for that, but not for a small currywurst, which has a really strange consistency, doesn't taste good and would still have needed the fries. Speed ​​rating is the only thing that fits here.

Ich habe am 21.12.2023 Gyros + Pommes und ein Getränk (Sprite). Das Fleisch war sehr trocken, allerdings waren die Pommes ein Genuss.

Der Pfeiler Grill war für mich immer ein Highlight für griechischen Imbiss. Sehr leckeres Gyros, freundlicher Service. Leider bin ich jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal mit leeren Händen und ohne Gyros wieder weg geschickt worden, weil es bereits um 20 Uhr ausverkauft (?!) war. Als ich einer der Besitzerin sagte, dass mir das jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal passieren würde, bekam ich nur als Antwort, dass ich eher kommen müsse. Leider hat sich der Pfeiler Grill scheinbar mittlerweile auf die lukrativeren Lieferando Kunden konzentriert und vergrault dadurch seine Stammkunden, die immer gerne vorbeigekommen sind. Wer allerdings als Imbissstube bereits um 20 Uhr seine Hauptspeise nicht mehr anbieten kann, sollte vielleicht seine Planung überdenken. Ein enttäuschter Ex-Stammkunde.

Qualität seit Jahrzehnten Immer wieder gern, wenn man nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit mal wieder dort isst und es immer noch schmeckt wie früher. Aber es ist gemütlicher geworden, sodass man sich auch einfach gern setzt und vor Ort isst. Traditionell Gyros mit Tzatziki war lecker!
