Unacceptable owner -BEWARE OF RIP-OFF- Not suitable for large parties. No service available due to staff cuts. Catastrophic hygiene conditions regarding both the preparation and cooling of food (nonexistent at all in 30-degree heat). I was a guest at a wedding celebrated there myself. It was supposed to be the bride and groom's happiest day, and it was a nightmare. During the celebration, the owner suddenly decided that everything previously agreed upon was no longer valid. (No service, no cold drinks, according to her own statement, the bride and groom were supposed to bring their own refrigerator, food was found stacked on the floor, and guests were washing glasses in the guest bathroom because no fresh ones were provided). I could go on forever. Conclusion Previously agreed upon things and even the cost estimate were not met.

The food here is delicious. I had the rustic schnitzel, the shoulder of pork, the beef roulade, the pierogi, and the bread and butter. Polish and Bavarian delicacies. Everything is delicious and freshly prepared. The ambiance is a bit old-fashioned and rustic, but this perfectly matches the sometimes rustic and delicious food. Parking is available in the courtyard and seating outside in the summer. Good value for money.

I simply cannot recommend this restaurant. A complete disappointment! Aside from the unbearable food, the staff is incredibly unfriendly. Definitely not worth 4 stars... One visit, never again!

1 Star – Unfortunately, not recommended We celebrated our wedding at this venue – a celebration that was supposed to be a beautiful and unforgettable day. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by numerous problems and the inappropriate behavior of the owner. At first, the preparations were promising. A fixed price was agreed upon, which everyone agreed to. But already on the day of the event, a completely different side emerged: The owner was unfriendly, irritated, and at times spoke disrespectfully to our guests. Simple requests like an extra glass were met with an inappropriate response ("Who's going to wash that?"), or guests were accused of having to pay extra for drinks – at our own wedding! Despite the agreement, no wait staff were provided. Our guests had to clear their own dishes. The premises were extremely hot (almost 30 degrees Celsius) – with no air conditioning or other refrigeration. The food was stored unrefrigerated, and in the middle of the program, we were asked to pack leftovers and take them home with us because the refrigeration was supposedly broken. When we complained, it suddenly worked. Other serious issues: Cakes were left on the floor. There was dog feces on the terrace where children were playing. The owner seemed consistently listless, unfriendly, and irritable. The celebration was abruptly ended at midnight, even though a longer schedule had been planned. Leftover food, which was supposed to be refrigerated for pickup the next day, was handed over spoiled and had to be thrown away. When I (the bride) confronted the owner about these many grievances, I was told they would only talk to my mother-in-law. Insulting statements like "That snotty nose shouldn't interfere" are absolutely unacceptable—especially in a professional setting. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The lack of professionalism, the poor organization, and, above all, the disrespectful treatment of our guests deeply disappointed us. If you value quality, service and a minimum of friendliness, you should look for another place for special occasions.

I never normally write reviews, but I have to share my experience here so that others don't fall into the same trap. Disappointment all around. Despite the restaurant being empty, there was a long wait, and the food came cold and was unfortunately inedible. Drinks were only available upon request. I don't understand where the 4 stars come from.

We've already held two celebrations at the Alte Brunnen. Last year was my mother's 70th, and last Saturday was my father's 80th. We were very satisfied both times. Everything went as planned. The buffet food was amazing; there was nothing we didn't like. The owners and waiters were all friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the decoration of the room and the tables. They even arranged a special wine we requested, and there was no shortage of other drinks. We were able to bring the cakes we had ordered from the pastry chef before the celebration and keep them refrigerated. We had fun right up until the end of each celebration and went home in a good mood. We and our guests were satisfied both times and would be happy to celebrate there again.

Honestly, I wonder how this place can still have 4.2 stars?! The good reviews probably come from the old Greek restaurant – because it has absolutely nothing to do with what they now sell under the name "Bavarian/Silesian." Upon entering: No smile, no welcome. The atmosphere was icy – ​​except, unfortunately, the drinks. The refrigeration was broken, as the owner snippily informed us. The result: warm Coke at 28 degrees Celsius while the sun was blazing outside. And at a wedding? Is that even possible? Then the bombshell: The food had been sitting unrefrigerated overnight at 30 degrees Celsius room temperature! The next day, almost everything was sour, fermented, or simply inedible. And the cake? Not in a display case or on a tray – no, placed directly on the floor of the cold storage room. Anyone who thinks that's hygienic shouldn't be running a restaurant. But here's the thing: A fixed price was agreed upon in advance, including a DJ, two waiters, and everything else. On the day of the wedding? Not a waiter in sight! The guests – including some elderly people – had to clear their own dishes. A disgrace beyond compare! Instead of the promised DJ, the owner's husband showed up. He simply plugged a cell phone into the mixing desk and randomly played YouTube videos. No playlist, no atmosphere, no sense of rhythm. The bride's dance? To some annoying song that didn't fit the atmosphere at all. The icing on the cake: The owner yelled across the room when someone accidentally dropped a plate: "IT COSTS 10 EUROS, YOU HAVE TO PAY IT!" – Sorry, but where are we? In a wedding basement or at a bad-tempered flea market? And then there are the tablecloths with two small sparkler burn marks –

I was invited to a wedding at the restaurant "Am alten Brunnen" and would like to share my impressions here. Unfortunately, there were a few things that negatively impacted the evening: With summer temperatures of around 28°C, no chilled drinks were offered, which caused frustration among many guests. The DJ was a huge disappointment: He mostly played mindlessly from YouTube videos, didn't respond to music requests, and failed to create a good atmosphere. During the meal, the music was much too loud, making conversation at the table almost impossible, and the atmosphere suffered as a result. The food itself was truly delicious, but the meat was already slightly cold when it was served. There was dog feces and other animal droppings outside, which greatly detracted from the overall impression and the use of the garden. There were no towels or other means of drying one's hands after washing in the restrooms, which was neither hygienic nor pleasant. Overall, the venue was attractive, but the aforementioned shortcomings unfortunately significantly dampened the experience.

There are no hygiene measures in the restaurant. Cakes are stored in the cold storage room on the bare floor. The food isn't kept cool, but simply left to stand overnight at 30 degrees Celsius. The next day, almost all of the food had gone bad. The same goes for the drinks. The owner said the refrigeration was broken and the drinks couldn't be kept cold, and it was 28 degrees Celsius that day! She paid so much money for her own wedding, and the owner kept demanding more, even though a fixed amount had been agreed upon! It was also agreed that two waiters would be available; on the day of the wedding, the GUESTS had to clear their own dishes!!! A DJ was also agreed upon. The owner's husband showed up and played songs from YouTube. Our playlist wasn't played either, but rather music that didn't fit. The owner was also very unfriendly and rude to the guests. A plate fell down, and the owner yelled from the kitchen, "THAT COSTS 10 EUROS, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT." The same goes for the tablecloths, which also had to be paid for because they had two burn holes from sparklers. I had no problem paying for them, but the owner wanted to squeeze every cent out of us that she could. I could list more things, but these are the main ones. And to do this at your own wedding—you have to think about it! Paying so much money for such poor service! I can only recommend everyone to avoid this place!

Unfortunately the Greek restaurant no longer exists. Silesian cuisine can now be found there. We went there once as a test, unfortunately there wasn't really much home-made food...even the bread was out of a bag. The cake was okay. It's also a matter of taste. We wanted to go again to test the schnitzel day on Wednesday, but the restaurant is always closed. When we asked, we were told that if no one comes at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m., it will be closed. Some days are closed anyway. It's all a bit intimidating, which is actually a shame because it's really nicely renovated and furnished. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Totally delicious and sumptuous Silesian and Bavarian home cooking. Everything freshly made. Your heart opens when you hear that the schnitzel is freshly made. Piroggi and knuckle very tasty😋, especially the mashed potatoes with brown butter. Divine💕💕💕. The landlady was very kind. We'd love to come back. 🥰👋 It's a mystery to me why Google simply doesn't want to accept the changes to the name and the fact that they have completely different owners😡. No Greek here. Therefore, neither these reviews nor the photos from the previous owner match. Here is a restaurant with wonderful Bavarian and Silesian cuisine! It is not permanently closed!!!!

Delicious, hearty Silesian cuisine offered by friendly staff at reasonable prices. This isn't the last time we've been here and we're still happy that this horrible Greek guy is finally out.

Very cozy and spacious and well-kept atmosphere, with a possible beer garden and large rear parking space. The dishes mainly come from Silesian and Bavarian cuisine. Everything is lovingly prepared. Both restaurant tenants are very friendly and attentive to the guest, as is the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the extended staff. As guests, we ate the food sufficiently and with pleasure in the previous restaurant, which the tenant couple had successfully run. Very pleasant and attentive waiter. He took care of us so that we didn't miss anything. Despite the fact that the restaurant is not located in a quiet location, the guest felt comfortable. Tasty, well-chilled beer added to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was good except for the almost burnt gyros. That would probably be the only complaint.

Wir waren das erste mal hier und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.Es ist das beste Griechische Restaurant bei dem wir je waren. 5 Sterne sind eigentlich noch zu wenig.

5 Sterne sind noch zu wenig für das leckere Essen was wir bekommen haben. Das Personal war mega freundlich, man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war sehr frisch und hatte eine sehr gute Größe und die Preise sind definitiv gerechtfertigt. Man hat sich fast wie in Griechenland selbst gefühlt :). Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder! :)

Tolles Restaurant und sehr leckeres Essen. Die Terasse wurde mit viel Mühe aufbereitet. Der Inhaber führt das Lokal mit viel Liebe und ist immer für seine Gäste da. Ich kann das Lokal nur weiterempfehlen.

Essen wie immer sehr sehr lecker, war so als, wären wir im Restaurant gewesen. Das Gyros war genau so wie ich es in Griechenland gegessen habe, schön knusprig und sehr lecker. Die Salatsauce war super lecker und würzig. Ich hab das essen früher bekommen als ich angegeben habe. Der Lieferrant war sehr nett. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur bestens empfehlen.

Die pünktliche Lieferung der Speisen war das einzig positive. Das Essen war nahezu kalt, leider nicht besonders gewürzt und die Portionen eher für die 7 Zwerge. Da wird es beim einmaligen Versuch bleiben.

Durch die vielen durchweg positiven Bewertungen, waren wir auch dort essen. Wir hatten natürlich sehr hohe Erwartungen, leider wurden diese enttäuscht. Das positive vorweg die Coronavorachriften wurden penibel befolgt, der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Es gab einen Uzo zur Begrüssung, das Ambiente war sehr schön und gemütlich. Leider war der Salat eine Katastrophe, und nicht wirklich genießbar beim besten Willen nicht. Unser Hauptgang war ok, wir hatten unsere Erwartungen aber schon weit runtergefahren. Optisch war der Hauptgang allerdings ein Highlight. Das Dessert war super. Unser Fazit, sehr guter Service, die Teller werden mit viel Liebe angerichtet, und wenn man keine so grossen Erwartungen an das Essen stellt, ist das Restaurant für einen schönen Abend sehr gut geeignet.

Leider ein sehr ungastliches und ungepflegtes Lokal. Überall liegt Bauschutt herum. Der Parkplatz ist vollgestellt mit abgestellten Schrottautos und ausrangierten Küchengeräten. Im Gastraum sah es nicht viel besser aus. Neben dem fehlen von griechischen Ambiente spielte auch noch ein kleines Kind mit lautem Spielzeug direkt neben den Gästen. Das Essen war ganz OK hat aber ewig gebraucht und war hier und da versalzen. Am Ende knapp 50 Euro für zwei mäßige Speisen und Getränke in einer ungastlichen Umgebung.

Authentisches Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das Essen schmeckte hervorragend und Portionen waren ziemlich groß. Sehr empfehlenswert wenn man griechisch essen gehen möchte. Es gibt die Möglichkeit Gerichte mitzunehmen.
