Griechisches Restaurant Platon in Quedlinburg

Positive: Very tasty food, gyros with Cretan potatoes, a small mixed salad is served at the start, cocktails are very tasty Negative: Unfortunately, the plates are getting bigger and the portions smaller. Naturally, this also makes it more expensive. €19.00 + €3.50 because I had Cretan potatoes. Then I wanted to order a large Coke Zero, but they only have small glasses. Then I ordered a large Coke, but no luck. They only have small, narrow glasses. Well, I guess that's how they make more money. We sat upstairs, where the ambiance isn't very nice and the service is terrible. Several glasses were empty, and no one asked if we wanted anything else. We were offered an ouzo at the beginning, but then none. I'm used to better service at other Greek restaurants, and Platon used to be different. Even after I paid, I wasn't offered a complimentary ouzo. A shame. I used to love eating at Platon.

We stopped here for a family gathering. Very good food, wide selection, quick service, we'd gladly come again. Thank you so much!

I was absolutely thrilled with this Greek restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I received a very warm welcome, and the service was attentive and friendly. The salad was incredibly fresh and tasted absolutely fantastic – exactly as you'd want it. All the other dishes were also superbly prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, making you feel right at home. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!

Three of us went there without a reservation and got a table right away. The atmosphere was informal and the ambiance was cozy. We received a very warm welcome and were well looked after. All our wishes were fulfilled. The food was delicious, the salad was fresh, and everything was beautifully presented. Delicious Greek restaurant in Quedlinburg. We were passing through and got a tip from some locals. Very friendly and good service, and delicious food on the terrace!

We arrived in Quedlinburg quite late on our bike tour, hungry and thirsty. Since there were seven of us, the reservation call was very good, and we got a seat outside at 8:30. The service was very well organized, with ouzo before and after the meal 👍🏼. The food was also good, and the prices reasonable.

As a visitor from out of town, I spontaneously went back to our former "regular Greek restaurant" for lunch on Friday after a long time and was very satisfied. 👍🏻😋👍🏻

I would like to write a review of the food, but we were not given the opportunity. The owner asked us to leave the table we were sitting at and brought in two women, whom I assume he knew. He said the table was booked and didn't offer us another place to sit. There was no information about the reservation on the table, and the waiter who saw us take the seats earlier didn't mention anything about it.

We made a reservation for three people on Saturday, June 14, 2025, and we were absolutely thrilled! Because the weather was great, we were able to sit outside, and the setting was really lovely. The service was very attentive. The starter salad and the main courses (bifteki/gyros and tolis plate) were super, super delicious. We also had grilled peppers and saganaki. Simply fantastic! We also got two ouzos on the house. Since we were just coming back from a mountain bike tour, we were quite hungry and really got our money's worth here at Platon. Since the next tour for 2026 is already being planned, we will definitely be back as guests at Platon.

The food is very good, but what truly makes the restaurant perfect is the owner! At our last family dinner, he noticed that one of us was missing. Since he couldn't attend that evening due to illness, we ordered a dish to take home for him later. When we unpacked, we noticed that what felt like double the portion had been packed. He was very pleased, thank you so much!

Uitermate vriendelijke ontvangst. De mixed grill en de bifteki waren super lekker, evenals de salade vooraf. De wijn Theopatra cabernet sauvignon/ syrah, vol, kruidig en mooi in balans. Heerlijk bij het vlees. Erg gezellig ingericht restaurant. We kregen meerdere glazen ouzo tussendoor. Als je van Grieks houdt, moet je hier naar toe.

Food was so semi, the olives were actually disgusting. Our feedback to the really nice staff was passed on to the boss, who then thought he had to stand up in front of us and tried to talk down our arguments with a loud, present demeanor - but he didn't succeed. Almost more unpleasant than the olives was to see how the boss at the next table reacted shortly before to a visitor's criticism of her meat: loud, insulting, condescending and completely incapable of criticism - that was pure shame! Never again!!!

We were spontaneously looking for a Greek restaurant and came across the “Platon” restaurant. We were very impressed by the good reviews and the extensive menu. As a vegetarian, I found some really tasty food there. We were very impressed and the food was really delicious! The portions are very large. The little Greek vitamin boost was given before and after the meal. Just as you know it 🍻 Absolutely recommended because the atmosphere there is really nice. The service is outstanding! People are constantly asking if you want something to drink, which I think is a good thing, because in other restaurants you sometimes wait half an hour until someone comes. That's not here at all. Very attentive! All in all, Platon is a nice restaurant where everyone will find something. 🍽️

We were there spontaneously yesterday and were immediately impressed! Super great atmosphere. The service was very attentive and quick. The food didn't take long to arrive. The starter salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious! We really liked the compilation! We each had a gyro with tzatziki, rice and potato wedges. Really tasty and something different than fries. There was also three ouzo on the house. If we are in the area again we will definitely plan to visit again. We are already looking forward to it!

Our regular Greek for what feels like ages :) The food is always delicious and, as usual, your eyes are bigger than your stomach ;) It makes sense to call and reserve in advance.

Ate very well (I had a lamb shank with eggplant, perhaps the best I've tasted so far.) Very friendly service and the grandchildren each got a lollipop and ice cream on the house. The pita bread with tzatziki as a starter was also very good.

The best Greek there is! We have been happy to come from Lower Saxony for many years to enjoy the delicious food. Great unchanged quality and so delicious. No other Greek restaurant has ever come close. Ouzo is also available - not just once. No matter which dish we chose from the menu - it was always very good. The ambience is great and so is the service. Absolute recommendation!

I can't judge the food, but because it was full downstairs we were asked upstairs. There was no music or any ambience there. We left without anything to eat. Waiters were okay.

We were there very spontaneously on a Saturday evening without having made a reservation. We had to wait a short moment, then we got a great table. The service was wonderful, we got the menu straight away and were able to order drinks straight away. The food was terrific, from the starter to the salad to the main course. Service was super friendly, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

We had a very nice evening in a sociable atmosphere. The food was really tasty, but the waiting time was quite long. There were 8 of us and we waited half an hour for one of the many service staff to take our drink order. Another 20 minutes later we got our drinks...then unfortunately we didn't see anyone from the service staff for half an hour. The service was (except for the boss, who was very nice!) quite cold and absolutely not typical of the Greek hospitality in the Platon as we know it from earlier days....conclusion....great shop...very good eat but the service still needs to be improved!

My family and I really enjoy visiting this restaurant. A very varied menu, everyone will find a dish to their taste. Friendly staff, fast service! They will always tell you everything and give advice. We like to come and will come back!

To start with, you can say that the parking situation is very difficult, there is a gym parking lot next to the restaurant, which is not intended for the restaurant, so you had to park on the street, where there is relatively little space. Ambiance is okay, very rustic and still a bit bright due to the lighting. The starter (garlic bread with tzatziki) was very above average, which was also my personal highlight of the evening. The starter salad wasn't that convincing, it had a very sour taste, which was relatively inappropriate in the overall package. The main course (412, chicken breast with Metaxa sauce and Cretan potatoes) was quite average, the chicken was a bit bland in taste, the potatoes were okay, very crispy, which is to be welcomed. In my opinion there are too many and too small pieces of mushrooms, which is quite detrimental for people who don't like eating mushrooms. Service was very simple, not a big highlight. In terms of price, however, it was quite a stunner, I had a large Cola Zero to drink and paid a total of €35.90, which is pretty steep for one person. Finally, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the restaurant because other cities in the area would be a better alternative in terms of price and taste

The food here is very tasty. I just think that the few service staff are a bit overwhelmed for the size of the restaurant. The wrong drinks were brought and I asked for a straw three times before I got one myself 😉. But it wasn't too bad now. It was also very crowded, but I understand that you can't remember everything. They were all friendly 🤗. We'd love to come back.

It was a recommendation to eat at this restaurant...we didn't regret it. The food was just great...everything hot and freshly prepared. The food was just so tasty. All ingredients are of very good quality and not like you have experienced in other restaurants with, for example, champions from the can. Just like the food, the service was very attentive and friendly. People kept asking if everything was OK. It was our first time here, but not the last time. The obese cashier was unfriendly, arrogant and insulting. The other staff, on the other hand, made a lot of effort with the guests. The food was okay, as you would expect from a Greek restaurant.

Wir waren am ersten Abend rein zufällig hier und haben gleich für einen weiteren Abend einen Tisch reserviert. Das Essen war beide Male sehr schmackhaft, das Personal sehr freundlich und man merkt einfach, dass hier mit Liebe gekocht wird. Der Tarama z.B. wird hier noch hausgemacht, es wird viel wert auf Frische und Geschmack gelegt. Das Lamm butterweich, egal in welcher Variante und auch das übrige Fleisch sehr zart und saftig. Wenn das Restaurant doch nur in unserer Nähe wäre…

We sat outside in very warm weather. A very friendly staff constantly looked after us. The children were given an ice cream for dessert, the adults an ouzo before and after the meal. Food was great. Large portions, excellent quality. Of course, now often over 20 euros per dish - but where not. We'll be back

We received a warm welcome in the restaurant. The selection of food and drinks is numerous, so there should be something for every taste. When we mentioned when ordering that we would like to have a "robber plate" for the children and our starters/main course, we were very pleasantly surprised when the kitchen had already divided the food into two portions. A big thank you again for that. Especially with children's meals. The service and food was great. We'll be happy to come back on our next Harz holiday :-)

The service was friendly. Gyros was fried too hard (most of it was burnt) Potato wedges, and the rice was really not tasty.. The fish was delicious.. We certainly won't go back. Ps We informed the waiter He has apologized, And took the leftover food back with me.

Great atmosphere with good food and great service.

We had a lovely meal (platte Crete and walnut ice cream) it tasted lovely and we were very full when we went home. The surroundings were cozy (many details to look at). The service was friendly and accommodating. We thought the tzatziki was a bit thin (it lacked cucumber to our taste), but it is probably a different recipe than the one we have tasted before😀 all in all, the warmest recommendations from here
