We are very satisfied. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious. We love coming to this restaurant and always feel very comfortable.

Unfortunately, card payments aren't possible! There was no notice indicating this wasn't possible. Only when paying were we informed that only cash was accepted.

We've been there twice this week for dinner. Tonight is the second time. We vacation in the area twice a year and have eaten here many times. The food is excellent, good value for money, there's a great atmosphere, and the service is top-notch. It couldn't be better. Many thanks to the entire staff. We'll be happy to come back again and again. Next time in May 2026.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, there were too few waiters in the restaurant for my liking. Because there were so many guests, they could barely keep up with the service. So it took a long time for us to get our menus, and also a long time for our food to arrive. If the restaurant had been busy, they could have hired one or two more waiters.

We were there for dinner today. We each treated ourselves to a steak dish. What can I say... the best steak I've ever eaten. I recommend ordering the steak. The chef even asked how we were satisfied. We'll be happy to come back.

For the food itself, I'd like to deduct a star for once. The gyro was too salty for the kids, even though they like salty food. In my opinion, salad mayo has no place with fries (with a few exceptions, they're always too watery, as was the case here). My pork fillet was good, but could have been fried a bit more. The coleslaw was unfortunately bland and heavy with vinegar. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't there for us, although the ambiance and service clearly deserve 5 stars.

We've been coming to this restaurant for three years when we're on vacation in the north. The food is still very good; the stuffed bifteki is my favorite. The chef and staff are very friendly. We'll definitely be back next year...

My wife's grilled meat was very good, and my calamari was excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. The menu is small and shows that the food is still cooked with love. We would love to come back.

Absolutely outstanding gyros – a culinary highlight! I've been testing restaurants regularly for over 10 years and have eaten gyros countless times - but what I was served here was simply the best I've ever had. The meat was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Every single forkful was a pleasure! I would also like to particularly highlight the rice: cooked just right, aromatic and wonderfully seasoned - no comparison to what you often get as a side dish. I'm honestly impressed with the quality and attention to detail that went into this dish. If you love gyros (or simply appreciate good food), you definitely shouldn't miss this treat.

They are nice and friendly there... but they wait almost 2 hours for food. I find it pretty stupid. And we only got drinks when we asked. After waiting 30 minutes. And unfortunately the food that was delivered couldn't make up for the long waiting time either

Once and never again. We waited over 1 hour and 40 minutes for food. We waited almost 30 minutes just to place the drinks order. Food was nothing special and very bland.

Price performance is very good, friendly service, ambience is a bit old. Very well attended on Wednesday.

By far the best Greek in Northern Germany, the boss cooks himself, the boss ensures the well-being of the guests, the food is A+ Everything is homemade and prepared with love, whether it's coleslaw, tzatziki, rice calamari freshly cut from tubes, liver with fried onions, meat juicy not dry, steaks perfect!!

We spontaneously celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary there with the family. Had a wonderful evening with our children and family. You have to take some time with you as everything is freshly prepared. We passed the time with drinks, ouzo and masala. Thanks again to the kitchen for the delicious food. We will definitely come back from NRW...

Revisiting Amfipolis My husband recently wrote: The better Greek in Esens. I can only confirm that and add, the best restaurant in town. No one else in Esens cooks as well. And if you like more German cuisine, you can even find a breaded cutlet on the small but delicious menu. I had the 106, a mixed plate. The meat is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The taste is very good. My husband had the lamb fillets. A tender, delicious dream, the grilled vegetables gave it a holiday feeling somewhere in Greece. The icing on the cake is a service that couldn't be better and more attentive. The whole thing in an atmosphere as if you were at home with friends.

We had an excellent meal here on Saturday lunchtime. The atmosphere seems a bit old but no less cozy. The service is extremely courteous and very child-friendly, and food requests are skilfully addressed. The food is very tasty - the lamb fillet is tender, the gyros are tasty - the liver is really good. We'll definitely come back one day - our son will remind us 😉

Hi, an alle Genießer, statt Tintenfischringe mit ungesunder Panade, gibt es bei Nico im Amphipolis in der Steinstraße Tintenfisch vom Feinsten. Auch Dorade (Vorbestellung) ist einfach sagenhaft. Mit Grillgemüse und Tsatsiki ein Gedicht.

Good morning. We were there yesterday for the first time and the last time. You couldn't eat the liver at all, you couldn't chew the gyros and the rest was just awful. There were 5 of us and NO ONE could eat their food. 120 euros for the ton... Of course you should have said something, but we are all the same and don't dare Unfortunately. Maybe they were having a bad day. But whatever. Sorry, but you can't eat this rubber poop

This restaurant deserves its 5 stars. A comfortable southern-style ambience, excellent service and food with a quality and taste that I have never had from a Greek restaurant. The gyros, a uniqueness. Even my (rather meat-critical) wife was thrilled. Plus tzatziki with pita bread. Even unseasoned for my junior, it tasted great. And I don't even want to start talking about the souvlaki, otherwise I wouldn't be able to stop raving about them for the next few months. Plus the white wine sauce, which I can only warmly recommend to EVERYONE. So all in all a really great Greek place, with the best Greek food I've had so far. Respect to the kitchen 🌻

Very good food, nice service, well-chilled drinks, good price-performance ratio. We were here for the second time today, despite not having a reservation, it was possible to provide us with a tidch. At this point, a big thank you again to the head waiter, who was in a very good mood despite a lot of stress 👍. To say one thing first...The food was really good. Unfortunately, we didn't feel comfortable at all as guests. The drink took over 10 minutes, this waiter couldn't (wasn't allowed to?) take the food order. The food was then brought after about 80 minutes, without a word of apology. It was only pointed out that everything is freshly prepared... (which is very nice). Unfortunately, we had to chase down new requests for drinks, as well as mayonnaise/ketchup for the children, salt/pepper for seasoning, ... I would also have liked a little more sensitivity with regard to the young guests, in the form of, for example, pens etc. gets when the order takes so long.... What was most annoying for us was that even though we gave calm/factual feedback, we didn't receive an honest apology. I used to work in the catering industry myself and there are busy, hectic times. But then it is important to tell the guests this transparently and encourage them to be patient. An ouzo, for example, would definitely have helped.

The Greek restaurant 'Amfipolis' is centrally located in the pedestrian zone 'Steinstrasse' No. 19. There was an ouzo at the reception and also at the farewell. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the food was delicious. The price-performance ratio was consistently ok. We will be happy to come back.

We ate here with our children today and absolutely loved it. We reserved a table, which is important as it gets very busy on the weekend. When we arrived, we and especially the children were warmly welcomed and offered something to paint. We had a comfortable table near the counter and all of the staff were super nice and accommodating. As you passed by, you would see if a glass was empty and immediately ask if you wanted something new. The food was super tasty, hot and the portions were totally sufficient! Even the children ate really well. There was an ouzo before AND after the meal. We have absolutely nothing to complain about and would love to come back again on our next vacation!

Nach einem anstrengenden Mieswetterlauf wurden wir NordseeläuferInnen freundlichst aufgenommen und erhielten trotz später Stunde noch einen Tisch im besetzten Restaurant. Die Speisen mundeten hervorragend, auch VegetarieInnen waren äußerst zufrieden. Zudem erwärmten 4 Ouzos für JEDEN (Gruß des Lokals) unsere Läuferseelen. Ein aufmerksamer, witziger Kellner ließen uns wie "zu Hause"fühlen. Kein Wunder kehrten wir ein zweites Mal Tage später nochmals ein.

Absolutely not recommended! Some of the food is undercooked. Service was OK so far but then when you had finished eating and you were asked if you would like something more to drink and you declined thanks, the boss immediately came with the bill even though you didn't ask for it. In my opinion, absolutely not okay, it seemed like you were being thrown out. Never again !

Me and my girlfriend and boyfriend were just there, my food and my friend's food were gone. My girlfriend's food wasn't quite cooked. When we were finished with the food it was cleared away, shortly afterwards we asked if there was anything left What is allowed to drink was answered with no. It didn't take long before the waiter came and said the numbers together, we didn't want to pay yet, that's not possible. I thought I paid in cash and my girlfriend wanted to pay with a card. They didn't read that it wasn't possible here. Guys, the sound doesn't make the music so good. We definitely won't be coming back.

Das Essen war sehr lecker zubereitet und insbesondere die Gemüse und der Salat waren frisch zubereitet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und obwohl es ziemlich voll war, ging es relativ schnell. Lediglich ist der Gastraum etwas renovierungsbedürftig, was aber durch die anderen Punkte voll ausgeglichen wird. Man kann es empfehlen

We wanted to reserve a table by phone (8 people) and we were told there would be a lot of free time to come over. When we arrived, we realized that we really came with 8 people and there was no table. Also no effort to arrange anything or offer to wait for a short while. Well then not.

Everything is really right here. Taste, portion size and service. It's a shame that we only visited the restaurant the day before the end of our vacation. Otherwise we would have been there more often.

We go out for Greek food regularly and have a comparison. Here the gyros, suzuki, minced steak and sauce, as well as the homemade coleslaw and tzatziki, taste super delicious. We were there twice in 4 days of vacation. Very nice service, also to my son. Gladly again for the next stay.

I feel at home where Rudi is :) But also excellent cuisine from everyone and even in stressful situations everyone simply knows what is important and right. The only people who may not be able to understand the decisions in stressful situations are people who have no idea about gastronomy :)

Everything just fits here. We brought our 90 year old parents with us. We enjoyed great service, great food. It should be emphasized that everything is made in-house. Nothing off the shelf. Kudos to the East Frisian/Greek waiter. We knew him 98697n already from a previous restaurant. He is very attentive and has the necessary touch.
