Delicious food with fresh ingredients. Beautifully presented and served hot. Even though it was very busy, we had a great time. Highly recommended! So delicious!

Delicious chicken dish. And they know their way around gluten-free food.

About 20 minutes after the food was brought, we were asked to pay and leave. The explanation was that the table was reserved. I couldn't believe what was happening. In my opinion, they simply shouldn't accept any guests, or at least warn them about it in advance. Absolutely disrespectful. The food was also too expensive for what you get. Absolutely not recommended.

Very delicious 😋They served us in like 5min the food. At first I didn't get a lot of chicken and asked if I could get a bit more. In a friendly and fast way they gave me more. 👍

The restaurant is not recommended for vegans. Actually, it's not even recommended for vegetarians, as many of the dishes labeled as vegetarian contain fish ingredients according to the allergens. The sweet potato fries we ordered were unfortunately very soft. We also had to wait a bit longer before we could finally pay.

Very delicious food, including the sushi, a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options, and super friendly staff. Great, lovingly prepared dishes – a true feast for the eyes! Thank you so much, we'll be back again!

Spectacular good food and service at more than reasonable pricing and great atmosphere. We spend 21Eur/person (2 adults+2 kids).

No matter what I eat here, it always tastes delicious! The only star I'm not giving is due to the noise and the fact that the tables are so close together.

The only issue is that it's really loud. The food is very delicious and the service super fast and nice.

The food, especially the daily special (we had the tuna), was delicious! It was also beautifully presented, as we all know, with a sense of taste 😉. There are a few tables outside, so reservations are recommended.

This wasn't bad. Horrible glasses, tea that tastes like a used dishcloth... soup that tastes like water... nothing like Osterstrasse.

Went there recently for lunch with colleagues. While their meals looked delicious, my pho soup had TWO bugs swimming in the broth. In general, the soup was rather bland and contained just noodles, tofu, and greens. The waitress later brought the table condiments, a chili-garlic dressing, with a FLY marinating in it. I've lost my appetite, and unfortunately couldn't take a picture because I didn't want to ruin my colleagues' meal. It's safe to say, however, that I'm not eating there again.

Vietnamese dishes in many variations. It's best to ask for an explanation of the Hanoi and Hoi An buns beforehand, as the consistency of the "soups" varies greatly. Friendly and welcoming staff. A good atmosphere, various table sizes. Outdoor area right on the street.

Ate here at Green Papaya today, No. 386 chicken in red coconut chili sauce with vegetables and rice, very tasty! Lovely outdoor seating with friends. And a beer. Friendly service and really good food!

One of my favorite restaurants in Ottensen. Very friendly staff. The food is beautifully prepared, the portions are large, the ingredients are fresh and everything tastes really good! There is something for everyone. Extra requests will be gladly taken into account. You are served quickly and don't have to wait long. There are a few small lights that flicker and the music is a bit too loud in some corners. Nevertheless it is very comfortable. Reservations for lunch or dinner for several people are essential.

Restaurant quality Thai at good prices. Elsewhere in Hamburg you can only get one kebab plate for one dish. I'll definitely come back. €30 per person with drinks and starters is absolutely fair

I love love love this place. It's my favourite place to go. Service is fast and the food is all amazing. It gets very busy so booking is recommended. And it can get a little loud when full.

Nice establishment with delicious cuisine. We went to this establishment many times. This is a chain of cafes around the city, but we have always been to this establishment. Prices are average. Everything is prepared quickly. We ate in the establishment many times, and also took food out many times. The duck fried rice is delicious. Also a favorite are the warm tempuri rolls. If you decide to eat at this establishment, you will not regret it.

There's nothing to complain about here. We ended up here spontaneously and the store was full. Nevertheless we had a table within 2 minutes. So we ordered, our food came within a few minutes. This meal was just really tasty and beautifully prepared. All the employees were really nice and attentive. The next time we are in Hamburg, we will probably eat here again. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDATION!

We were lucky and got a table for two around lunchtime on a Sunday. The service was friendly and quick. We both ate the Crunchy Salmon dish and loved it, it tasted delicious! Unfortunately I have to deduct one star for the unkempt toilet! This could really be cleaner and should be renovated. Otherwise clear recommendation!

I tried the spicy tuna Sushi. It wasn't spicy at all. My friend tried the fried noodles and found hair strand in the bowl. 🤷‍♂️ That wasn't a pleasant experience.

The staff was very friendly, the food came quickly and was tasty. The portions were more than sufficient. Only the "train station atmosphere" is very disturbing, especially when it is very crowded and correspondingly loud.

Normally the food is always okay, but not really that good. Well this evening I picked up the food and received a really particularly bad curry. The duck was mostly fat and the curry had absolutely no flavor. I tried somehow to save the taste a little with Sriracha, but unfortunately I couldn't get much out of it. I think I probably won't come back in the future.

A must at least once a month. Crunchy Tuna at Green Papaya in Altona. All dishes are freshly and deliciously prepared. In summer there is even a beautiful outdoor terrace. Prices are reasonable.

Wow – that probably best describes my experience with this Vietnamese cuisine. The dishes were a successful interplay of fresh ingredients, fine spices and harmonious flavors. It is rare to be served such authentic yet carefully prepared food. Every bite felt like a little journey. The service also deserves praise: friendly, attentive and pleasantly quick. Here you have the feeling of being welcome without it seeming fake. All in all, a place that I would not only recommend, but will probably come back to more often. If you like good Vietnamese food, don't miss this!

The service was nice. The food seemed like it was pre-cooked because there was so much going on. The taste is bland and boring. Surprising because it was significantly better on the last visit. First of all, I won't be coming back. What a shame!

The food was good and plentiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were OK. The restaurant was very busy when we visited. Be sure to reserve. The temperature in the restaurant was borderline high. But we will definitely stop by again.

I would say it’s really hard to find good asian restaurants in Hamburg but this is one! The staff are also really nice.

For the 3rd time at Green Papaya Altona. The food was ready quickly, but I would have expected more from a curry (almost only carrots and peppers, but 15 euros was definitely too much). The service leaves a lot to be desired. If you pay with cash, you will be asked how much you would like to tip.

We were there on a Monday around 5:40 p.m. and got one of the last free tables - so we recommend making a reservation. The summer rolls and the wonton soup are highly recommended as starters! Ducks for the main course made the meal perfect. It was not badly fried, deliciously fresh and crispy. The homemade lemonade is also recommended. Absolutely within the price range.

Mitten in Altona liegt das Green Papaya , man kann auch draußen sitzen , innen ist es groß, aber auch laut gewesen, das Restaurant war voll , wir waren gehen Abend da ! Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker ! Kommen gerne nochmal wieder, vielleicht zu einer anderen Zeit und es ist nicht so voll ! Aber ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen, preis Leistung war auch in Ordnung

We are loyal customers for more than 10 years now. The food is great, prices are kept decent. My favorite is duck in all its forms and Basilikum Pesto dishes.

There is very tasty Asian food here. There were three of us and we all ate really well. The selection is very large and you can order many different dishes. I had the grilled beef, sweet potatoes and vegetables. The beef was very well fried and the vegetables were also crunchy and tasty, as were the potatoes. The sauce rounded off the dish perfectly and the meal was a really nice taste experience. My two companions also enjoyed the food very much. The service was quite good. They were all very friendly and smiling. The only small drawback is that they didn't understand us very well, but otherwise everything was fine. I found the atmosphere very nice. There was a nice atmosphere and you felt comfortable. All in all, I can only recommend it here. It's worth it

I guess it was a coincidence, but the mango in the salmon was rock hard and unripe and in the coconut soup there was 1 carrot and otherwise only peppers, a bit poor given the increased prices. The ambience is ok, the service too. When criticism comes, excuses come and not even apologies. But without the competition You probably don't have to try so hard around the corner. A pity At least we ate better there

I've been going to Green Papaya for a while and have tried different dishes there. All very tasty. The salmon sashimi melts in your mouth and there are delicious soups for the cold days. But number 80, Beef Beef Brasil (spicy) is awesome! Sweet, sour, salty, spicy - just finger-licking! My friend is a vegetarian and can always find something here. The service is attentive, quick and friendly. It's always busy but you can often get a table spontaneously.

Green Papaya is the place to eat good sushi for a fair price. There you will find a large selection of different types and fillings. From simple Kappa Maki to extravagant tempura and inside out rolls, there is something for everyone! And don't forget the non-alcoholic cocktails, very refreshing with fresh mint and fruit. We have only had good experiences with the service, always a welcome smile on our faces. However, on Fridays and weekends it can get very busy in the evenings, so it is advisable to call ahead to reserve a table!

We spontaneously went to Green Papaya and it was outstanding! First of all: you should spontaneously make a reservation on the weekend or be really lucky. We had the latter. The portions are really big and a starter wouldn't have been necessary. The taste is also really delicious. We'd love to come back!

Super fast and friendly service. The “Chunky Salmon” dish is highly recommended. The kitchen was very quick, even though the restaurant was busy. You can sit both indoors and outdoors. The sweet potato fries and grilled salmon medium with rice noodles were also very tasty. I can highly recommend a visit to Green Papaya.

Every time we are in Hamburg the restaurant is a must. Unbeatably delicious food, super freshly prepared, huge portions and everything tastes great. This time we even went there twice because it was just so delicious! ;-)

I met here with some colleagues after work and had the yellow chicken as I didn't dare to try the red (very hot!) one. It was fantastic! I will definitely come back and try the red one too🙂
