In a restaurant that already impresses with its modern style, Pascal takes the experience to a whole new level. He is not just a sommelier, but a true wine connoisseur who justifies each of his recommendations with clarity and passion. Learning from him is part of the enjoyment. An experience that is hard to beat. I'll definitely be back.

Great food, cozy atmosphere and especially very nice staff

We had a very nice evening. The meal was excellent and the atmosphere warm.

A design restaurant focused on high-level clients. The decoration is a mix between classic and modern. It stands out for the new style of restaurant that when the kitchen service is finished it becomes a nightclub with a DJ. The service was exquisite by Sommelier Pascal who surprised us with his knowledge and professionalism. Although the food was good, in my opinion it was simplistic, many dishes with pasta or meat, not much modern or designer cuisine, lack of creativity in the menu for the price of the dishes. But still everything was prepared with very good taste and a very good decoration in the canning. The wine list had a very good selection, although perhaps very short on still wines and more extensive on sparkling wines, although from what I observed it was what was consumed most by the rest of the customers. We ate there last Friday (3/21/25). The restaurant is super nice. When we arrived we were asked first “Do you have a reservation - in that tone that says “if not then you can’t eat yours anyway” and a bit very arrogant - yes we had and were escorted to the table. The food was ok - but for 96€ a beef fillet that is OK is very outrageous and the cooking level wasn't right either because it was medium plus and not rare - but the waiter pointed it out to me straight away that it was my mistake and there was no apology, let alone compensation. That would never happen in the Classic Western - neither the price nor the aloof arrogance that pervaded the entire evening. We will never go there again!

We were really looking forward to our evening at the Grande Étoile, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. The ambience is undoubtedly impressive - lots of gold, velvet and stylish decorations, but what's the point if the rest isn't right? Rarely have we seen a restaurant that relies so much on its chic facade and forgets the most important thing: its guests! From the start, the atmosphere was uncomfortable - a fake luxury that was completely disenchanted by the unfriendly and arrogant service. When we wanted to take a few photos of the evening as a souvenir, we were immediately reprimanded - completely unnecessary and unfriendly. Instead of a polite request not to take photos (if that was even a problem), we were treated as if we had done something forbidden. The food? Another disappointment. For the exorbitant prices we got mediocre at best - uninspired, carelessly prepared and taste-wise nothing that will be remembered. The only bright spot of the evening was our waiter Titus. He was super friendly, attentive and even apologized for the boss's unprofessional behavior. It's a real shame because with better service and a more customer friendly attitude the Grande Étoile could be a great place. Unfortunately we don't recommend it.

A wonderful lunch at the Grande Étoile in Düsseldorf! The restaurant impresses not only with its stylish and interesting interior, but also with its excellent cuisine. We chose the 3-course menu and were thrilled - every dish was tasty and beautifully presented. A great place for anyone who wants to enjoy fine dining in a special ambience. Clear recommendation!

Just a really good evening. The atmosphere is relaxed, chic but not stuffy. You sit comfortably private and immediately feel at home. The service is top...always there when you need it, but never intrusive. Started with a glass of champagne, nicely chilled and really finely bubbled. Then the burrata salad, super creamy burrata, fresh tomatoes, great dressing, just perfect. But the truffle pasta was amazing. Pasta just right, the sauce buttery, the truffle aroma not too much, just perfect. The wine with it rounded the whole thing off. This isn't just about food, it's about real enjoyment. Definitely coming back!

The atmosphere is pleasant, the ambience is stylish and the quality of the food and the fine wines leaves nothing to be desired. Enjoyment at the highest level is offered here, and every visit becomes a special experience. Particularly noteworthy is the attention to detail, which is reflected both in the presentation of the dishes and in the warm treatment of the guests. A place to which you always like to return.

Ein toller Abend mit lieben Menschen. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, ebenso das Essen. Zu später Stunde kam ein DJ und wir konnten sogar noch tanzen.

Really good service & excellent food 10/10 Absolute recommendation

We loved the atmosphere and the booth sitting arrangement, it was private but still in a public setting. The seats were very comfortable and the table big enough. The waiter was fantastic, engaging, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the food and about the wines we chose. He went out of his way to discuss wine choices and gave us some background about the wine houses. The beef tartar was probably the best we ever had and also the main course (Cod for my wife and duck for me) was beautifully cooked, fabulous quality of the ingredients. The profiterole's we had for our desert were lovely and as with all the food, the taste is subtle and well prepared with the best ingredients. We could not be more satisfied with the food, ambiance and service.

The restaurant is very elegant and the food is extremely delicious. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday we were a group of girls at the Grande Etoile and were very satisfied. The food was really good, I had a truffle pasta. The occasion was my sister's birthday and the Grande Etoile team was very attentive and provided great service throughout the evening. From 9:30 p.m. there was a DJ, the DJ was good, it was in the house direction. But in my opinion it wasn't music you could dance to well. What I found particularly great is that as a group that doesn't drink alcohol, you weren't treated strangely, as you would find in some other upscale restaurants. Thank you for the great evening! We'd love to come back :)

es war mal wieder ein wunderschöner Abend. Unsere Freunde aus Köln waren begeistert von der Location und dem stylischen Ambiente. Die Bedienungen waren ebenfalls alle hervorragend; sehr umsichtig und vorausschauend, mit denkend und immer super bemüht. Auch mit meiner Allergie ( Zöliakie ) gingen die Bedienungen und Küche souverän um. Es gab immer eine glutenfreie Alternative. Super Geschmackserlebnis ( Vorspeise: Pulpo, Hauptspeise: Heilbutt - schmeckte sensationell ). Schön das es so etwas noch gibt - wir kommen wieder, TH 18.01.2025

Herausragende Speisen und Getränke, hervorragender und zuvorkommender, freundlicher Service in einem stimmungsvollen und exklusiven, aber dennoch gemütlichen Ambiente, sowie eine tolle Überraschung zu einem besonderen Anlass - schlichtweg ein perfekter Abend, absolut empfehlenswert! Besser geht es nicht!

Wir haben im Blauen Salon eine kleine Familienfeier zum 87. Geburtstag gefeiert und alles war perfekt! Der Raum ist wunderschön, der Service war hervorragend, das Essen und der Wein waren delikat. Die Musiklautstärke und Beleuchtung wurden nach unseren Wünschen eingestellt, die Stühle sind weich und bequem, wir hatten einen Kellner für uns, der uns jeden Wunsch erfüllte. Wir sind rund um verwöhnt worden und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren  Wieder absolut begeistert und haben uns total wohl gefühlt inklusive dem Baby Speisen waren super sensationell Service überragend. Von allen Seiten wurden wir verwöhnt. Es war für uns alle ein wunderbarer Abend und wir haben es genossen….. angefangen von liebevollen Empfang mit einem super passenden Tisch für uns mit Kinderwagen und besten verwöhnen Gefühl man hat das Gefühl, man kommt nach Hause!!!

wir sind häufig da weil es einfach eine gehobene Küche im Angebot hat. Dieses neben dem tollen Ambiente ist es einfach ein rundum schöner Platz zum Denieren und guten Cocktails sowie Weinen. Vom Preis- Leistungsverhältnis vs. den meisten guten Restaurants auf unserer Rheinseite- Oberkassel, ist das GRANDE ETOILE aber absolut unsere Empfehlung und auch meistens im Ganzen, wesentlich überzeugender- weiter so 👏

On a passé une très bonne soirée! Il y a du choix à la carte et les plats étaient bons. Les cocktails sont excellents. On a eu un service très agréable et attentionné.

Super nette Kellner, man fühlte sich direkt wohl. Essen kam ziemlich schnell und man wurde auch ordentlich satt. Das Ambiente mit dem Kamin war sehr gemütlich.

Wir haben unseren Jahrestag dort gefeiert, und es war wirklich eine wunderschöne und gemütliche Erfahrung. Es gibt extra romantische Tische für zwei, was perfekt für besondere Anlässe ist. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, und das Essen unglaublich lecker. Dieses Restaurant ist definitiv zu einem unserer Lieblingsrestaurants geworden. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei, und auch für große Gruppen geeignet. Absolut empfehlenswert!

The day before yesterday we were at the Grand Étoile for the second time and were again very satisfied. The food was great (scallop, goat cheese salad, hare, veal, pecan tart and cheese platter) and the service was also great. Regarding the wine question, we were given three different wines to try. Great shop with a very nice ambience like a classic French bistro restaurant and the price/performance ratio is really okay.

Great discovery in Düsseldorf's upscale gastronomy. Very stringent, impressive furnishings in the style of the 1920s with small, cozy individual tables. High-quality, well-coordinated dishes and a really friendly host who really makes you feel at home.

In meinem Lieblingsrestaurant hat die, Reservierung hat so wie immer geklappt  mit dem gewünschten Tisch -  Aufmerksamer kompetenter Service so wie immer -Speisekarte. Sensationell die Entscheidung, was man dann wirklich bestellt, wird einem nicht leicht gemacht und alle Gerichte sind einfach phänomenal.  Und die Location ist wunderbar auch wenn alle Tische besetzt sind, ist es eine Refugium. Ich komme immer gerne wieder

Die gewählten Gerichte waren hervorragend. Es war sehr laut und man hatte das Gefühl unter Zeitdruck bedient zu werden. Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Ruhe und Gelassenheit erwartet.

Angenehme Atmosphäre, zuvorkommende Bedienung und richtig leckeres Essen. Hier sind wir auf jeden Fall nicht das letzte Mal gewesen! :-)

Mooi interieur. Tafels zijn staan best ver uiteen waardoor je heel prive kan dineren. Wij namen de eendenfilet en filet mignon. Uitstekende smaak van de filet mignon. Geen saus nodig zoals het hoort. Mals. Vergeet geen side dish anders krijg je enkel het stuk vlees.

We used to enjoy being guests. But if a location with this supposedly high quality standard continues to sell foi gras, we're out. And thank God we are not alone.

Very nice restaurant that is also listed in the Michelin Guide. Offers a 3 course menu. Food is served creatively and is of good quality. We sometimes had to wait a long time for the courses, even though there was enough staff. Personally, I found the prices for the wine to be too high

We organized our Christmas lunch here. I cannot recall the last time I enjoyed a restaurant meal with a large group so much. Everything was perfect. We did not expect such attentive service and then excellent food and wine. The ambience was so pleasing no one wanted to leave. Thank you to the staff and management. ❤️

Unfortunately still sells foie gras. An actually longed-for visit remains out of the question...!! STOP ANIMALS CRUELTY!

Het restaurant is prachtig, bediening redelijk, werden niet op de hoogte gesteld dat er geen dessert meer besteld kon worden na bepaalde tijd. We hadden eerst een reservering om 18.15 en hebben deze verzet naar 21.30. Als je dan nog mag dineren, zou je ook nog het dessert moeten kunnen bestellen en het was niet zo dat er lange tijd tussen de gerechten zat. Buiten dit hebben we heerlijk gegeten en op advies van de ober een leuke cocktail gedronken. Stonden wel even veel te lang midden in de zaak te wachten tot onze jassen terug kwamen.

‘Die Kaffeemaschine ist bereits aus, sie können kein Kaffee bekommen’ Aussage vom Personal ! Die Uhrzeit 22h25. 3 Gang menu. Reservierung war für 20h00. Diese Art der Gastfreundlichkeit übertrifft alles vorher erlebte. Für alle die zukünftig buchen in diesem Lokal, bitte machen Sie ihren Kaffee zuhause.

A visit to Düsseldorf and dinner took us to the Grande Etoile. We were enchanted by the ambience. The service attentive and nice. Just as you would expect from the restaurant. We were particularly impressed by the appetizers and cocktails. Unfortunately, our request for an espresso martini or simple pilsner and Cola Zero could not be fulfilled. An inspiring place, but one that leaves a bit of culinary room for improvement when it comes to main courses and drinks. The quality of the food is of course very good, but it could be a bit more similar to the ambience.

Foie gras (foie gras) is an animal cruelty product and must be banned! 🦆

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was good. The wrong food came and there was supposed to be a free drink for it. Unfortunately, it was calculated in the end. Therefore one star deducted.

Sehr gute Küche, zuvorkommender Service. Sehr elegantes Ambiente. Die Einrichtung bzw. Anordnung der Tische ermöglicht durchaus Diskretion. Hübscher Außenbereich in einem durchgestylten ruhigen Innenhof. Hochpreisig, aber angemessen.

Atmosphäre und Service sind hervorragend. Doch das Essen entspricht nicht dem preisniveau und dem selbstverständnis des Restaurants. Erstens einmal ist es nicht richtig französisch. Dann ist die Auswahl an Vorspeisen bescheiden. Außer Austern und Suppe gibt es praktisch nur verschiedene Salate und die sind übertrieben parfümiert. Die hauptspeise Fleisch oder Fisch ist okay. Bei der Nachspeisen dominieren Kuchen und Eis sonst nichts. Insgesamt ist man gut aber nicht besonders gut.

Beim nächsten Mal schaffen wir bestimmt auch noch ein Dessert.Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert.Wir kommen wieder.🥂

Lovely setting for a late afternoon business lunch. Starters were great (the burrata is delicious, the beef consomme too). Overall a great experience, I'd say quite expensive but a very solid choice in Dusserldorf.

Buonissimo ristorante con atmosfera accogliente e servizio al altissimo novello. La cucina è buon composto di scelte gourmet o grandi grigliate di carne uruguaiana! Il servizio di Pascal è veramente un novello mondiale superiore! Grande vini in diversi categorie di prezzo!

Es war wirklich ein toller Abend. Natürlich ist es etwas teurer, als beim Restaurant um die Ecke. 10€ für eine Flasche Wasser tat zwar schon weh, aber man weiß worauf man sich einlässt. Wir haben an dem Tag den Geburtstag meines Mannes gefeiert und dies hatte ich bei der Reservierung auch angegeben. Was einfach super klasse gewesen ist, dass der Tisch sogar dekoriert war mit „happy Birthday“ Konfetti. Auch ein netter Spruch stand auf dem Tisch. Das Dessert wurde mit einer Wunderkerze serviert. Dies erlebte ich zum ersten Mal, das ein Restaurant auch wirklich auf solche Kleinigkeiten achtet. Ich hatte schon oft bei der Reservierung Geburtstag oder Hochzeitstag angegeben, aber nur hier ist es tatsächlich auch umgesetzt worden. Unser Kellner war auch super lieb und aufmerksam. Klar, man merkte schon, dass die auch wünschen, dass man mehr bestellt, aber wir haben uns nie unwohl gefühlt. Das Essen war super lecker und sehr schön angerichtet. Portionen waren auch ausreichend. Ich kann dieses Restaurant somit für besondere Anlässe nur empfehlen.

Absolute disappointment! We had reserved a table and got there a little early. We decided to visit this location and see what it's actually like. Apparently there was a problem with this location because we didn't want to dine but just wanted to end the evening with a few drinks. When the supposedly “nice” waiter found out about this, we were asked to sit in front of the fireplace and clear the space. We also received a “reprimand” that something like this had to be announced in advance. The evening would have been completely booked and they would be happy to use our table for other guests. (Observation: Not all tables were occupied while we were there.) We, completely taken by surprise, took our valuables and had ourselves moved. Then looked again at the platform to see if it was explicitly noted somewhere online that you can only reserve for drinks. Of course not! Here's a tip: maybe adjust it ;) Apart from this strange situation, two of us first ordered a coffee. Unfortunately it stayed that way. We were dropped off in front of the fireplace and no longer served. Of course, that wasn't because there was a lot to do. Because we had a view of the bar/counter, we could see people laughing, making jokes, and - in my opinion - behaving in a snooty and condescending manner. People walked past us every time. We were always given a mocking look and our empty cups. If waiters have the time to chat at the bar, snap, sing and make cat noises, then the 5m to us should definitely have been manageable. Of course, we then had to see that someone would take pity on us and deal with us so that we could pay the bill. So it's a long way from professionalism. Maybe this is only available for guests who also want to dine on site and therefore leave a little more money. We would have liked to have been asked at least once if everything was okay or if we needed anything. In such a supposedly “professional” restaurant, the waiters must have been taught to deal with their own tables from time to time. It was definitely because we didn't have a table anymore! Way too much of a show for a venue that needs to work on the basics first.

Tja, es war extrem enttäuschend uns für “Frühstücksliebhaber” ein absolutes “nogo”😠 Bisher waren wir zum Abendessen dort und immer zufrieden. Aber heute: “Continental” - Käse und Schinken nicht frisch, sondern aus der Verpackung, mit drei Brötchenvariationen, ein eisekaltes hart gekochtes Ei (wahrscheinlich von Vortag??) mit Butter und abgepackter Marmelade zum Preis von 20€ ist schon recht heftig, das “Ei Benedict” (zu je 20€) auch kalt und hart - mit insgesamt 4 Heißgetränken waren wir 88€ los! Ob sich das Restaurant mit dem Frühstücksangebot einen Gefallen erweist, wage ich zu bezweifeln - 1 Mal und nie wieder🥲 die Sitzfläche der Polstermöbel waren zudem noch mit den Brotkrümeln der letzten Besucher übersäht…. Andere Frühstücksanbieter, in der nahen Umgebung bieten deutlich frischere und schmackhaftere Produkte zu einem angemessenen Preis! Die Qualität muss stimmen, dafür sind wir immer gerne bereit auch etwas mehr zu zahlen….

Leider war der Service nicht so aufmerksam. Essen kam schon bevor wir Teller hatten und um Getränke zu bekommen mussten wir immer auf uns aufmerksam machen

Trotz vorheriger Reservierung wurden meine Freundinnen und ich leider nicht so toll empfangen. Man ist davon ausgegangen, dass wir etwas essen wollen, aber wir wollten lediglich etwas trinken. Daraufhin sollten wir den Platz wechseln, damit der Tisch sozusagen „freigeräumt“ wird, für Gäste, die dann eben was essen werden :) es ist meiner Meinung nach etwas unangebracht, Gäste weniger herzlich aufzunehmen, nur weil sie nichts essen werden. Die Location als solche ist eine schöne und das Essen schmeckt sicherlich auch gut.

Unser Besuch im Grande Étoile war ein echtes Highlight. Das Menü mit Weinbegleitung war hervorragend, besonders Fisch und Fleisch waren perfekt zubereitet. Als mir ein Wein nicht zusagte, wurde dieser ohne Zögern ausgetauscht – der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch das Ambiente war stilvoll und einladend. It is very beautiful inside. Excellent service. Extremely nice people work there. Breakfast is ok. You pay there more for service and nice atmosphere. Breakfast is ok, but food is not worth this money. But all together it was a very pleasant experience, though expensive

Upscale restaurant. You should factor in 100 per person. Courteous, attentive, friendly staff except for the two who seemed a bit uncaring. Wine recommendation went very well with the food. Beef fillet had the desired cooking point and was extremely tender. Side dishes were very good but not exceptional. Birthday children receive a free dessert. Thank you 😘 A wide variety of tables, from spacious to comfortably narrow to separated. There's always someone who has something to complain about... But if you want to enjoy life and don't have to worry about pennies, this is the place for you.

The café is furnished to a very high standard and the food and drinks are very good. Of course, all of this has its price.

This is an amazing French restaurant. The food are excellent and the cocktails are good. Service was great at the beginning and was a little disappointed at the end.
