Large Chinese restaurant with no special pretensions. The food is nothing exceptional. What I particularly remember is the amount of damage to the chairs.

Always nice and friendly, super tasty, great sushi selection, large buffet, we love it! Great grill selection.

We were there recently. It was very disappointing. The selection and variety was good. But the food was very bad. The dishes were from cold to lukewarm. The meat chosen for preparation was tough and hardly edible. The drinks are cheap products from Aldi and Lidl. The white chocolate fountain was diluted with water so no chocolate was spread on the fruit. The Afri-Cola was empty. It took forever for the machine to be refilled. I no longer recommend the restaurant as I did several years ago. For the money we could have eaten better anywhere. Too bad!

This store has long been one of my favorites due to its good value for money. The concept of all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink for a good price sets it apart from other buffet shops and makes it a pioneer. The staff is always helpful and friendly, but unfortunately not everything always works smoothly. For example, the tap system was often broken when we were there and we have visited the store many times. The food is super tasty, but when you choose the sauces at the grill, the sauce should also end up on the plate and not just dry dishes. I often had to make up extra sauce. **Addendum 2020:** I last visited the store at the beginning of 2020 and I have to say that unfortunately the taste and quality have decreased. The selection of drinks has been greatly reduced and the dishes have become rather bland in taste. In particular, the sushi that I actually go there for has deteriorated significantly and no longer tastes the way it should. So I probably won't go back for a while and will only check occasionally to see if anything has improved. The last three visits have been underwhelming and I see no reason to go multiple times a year. **Update May 2023:** On the last visit in May 2023, the sushi was okay, but the fried food didn't taste like anything. The sanitary facilities were in a miserable condition – dirty and broken. The clientele was also not pleasant and parking spaces continue to be scarce and tight. I didn't miss anything in the three years I wasn't there. Therefore, my rating unfortunately remains “not recommended”.

It was really great, nice staff, great atmosphere and really delicious food. It was my first time there, but definitely not the last time 😎 PS: unfortunately I couldn't find any information on the homepage about whether there was a wheelchair-friendly toilet, but thanks to the reviews here I found out ☺️

Unfortunately, I'm disappointed, I'm aware that you can't please everyone, but what I personally noticed was that half of this restaurant was occupied by people who were Muslims or people who didn't drink alcohol, but there was only one decent cake (tiramisu) that had alcohol must be that??? Everything else didn't look appetizing either, everything was ready-made desserts, we certainly wouldn't want to come back for that money

Ate locally for the first time. Buffet including drinks €28. Nothing was missing. Self-assembled food (various types of meat/fish/seafood/vegetables) is freshly prepared relatively quickly. The sauce is chosen by yourself. The drinks are self-service. Dessert + cappuccino at the end were very tasty.

We ate there and I have to say that was the last time. Has diminished greatly. Lukewarm to cold food, rice totally dried out, and a lot of other things just leftovers. The four of us paid over €100 for this. NEVER AGAIN, better go to the lion park, where you know what you have.

Unfortunately a bitter disappointment... the whole shop is a bit dingy, the food is cold and bland. The selection of drinks is poor and you can only have 2 beers per head - bottles have to remain on the table as "proof". Cheap energy drinks and iced tea from Lidl, or good and cheap. The service also leaves a lot to be desired, the dishes are piled up on the table and the crowning glory is the toilets. You won't find hygiene or functioning facilities here. Too bad

Basically a good Chinese, but unfortunately the Mongolian fried came cold and not well done and the "playroom" sorry but that no longer deserves its name! The play equipment is broken and the screens are out of order. There are no more... We just went there specifically because it was a very positive prospect with a child.

Yesterday (October 3rd, 2024) we were at the Gourmet Temple for the 10th time. So far we've always liked it. There is always the typical selection at the buffet, lots of fresh food for the grill and the drinks flat in the price (soft drinks, beer, coffee, etc.). There is a huge parking garage and a nice ambience. I don't know what happened yesterday though. Some of the food tasted as if it had been prepared 3-4 days ago. The peanut sauce looked extremely unappetizing in the container, as if it had been floating in there for a week. Unfortunately, that's what it tasted and smelled like. The chocolate from the chocolate fountain also tasted strange. Likewise, the fried rice with vegetables was so hard that I thought my teeth were going to fall out. Otherwise the meat was okay and so was the sushi, as were the desserts (except for the chocolate fountain)

There was no service, just picking up plates at the table. The drinks were free to get yourself, which was good. The food was halfway okay. The sushi was small and not exceptional or below average bad/good. The salmon in Lidl is sometimes fresher and softer than in this restaurant. No sashimi. No special sushi. No scallops. And no special calamari. Very few mushrooms and very, very few fresh vegetables in the teppanyaki. The meat in the teppanyaki was very, very tough and barely edible - it had to be thrown away, which we unfortunately had to do because it wasn't chewable. Such a shame about animal deaths! The river crabs were inedible and the octopus/clams were very tough. The price was not justified for this service. The staff simply let children run around the buffet area and shout, making it difficult to have a conversation at the table. Unpleasant experience and a lot of room for improvement - except for the drinks.

I can't recommend it more! I often go to buffet restaurants with my family and have never experienced anything so bad. The food tastes really greasy and the squid rings, for example, are completely hard as if they had been lying there for hours. Most of the dishes are broken. Staff not really friendly. The only positive thing is that drinks are included in the price. Well you get how you pay for, are a lesson richer.

A great restaurant! Everyone in my family is now a regular customer there. Really delicious food, nice atmosphere, drinks included in the buffet and there are even cheap but tasty cocktails with and without alcohol. And the service is top notch! LG from the Gashi family

Unlimited food and drinks for a fixed price. There is something for everyone, from sushi to grill and vegetarian to meat, already prepared or stir-fried and desserts. All soft drinks and beer/wine are included. You can pay extra for spirits. The staff keeps a good pace (sometimes a little too much) and keep in mind that not all foreign passes work when paying. (There is an ATM nearby for emergencies)

Visited again after 2 years and the buffet for €29 was more than disappointing. Price is exorbitant. Sauces like water, hardly any taste. Vegetables overcooked, everything lukewarm and partly empty. It wasn't too busy but it took a while to get filled up. There was sometimes no syrup at the drinks machine and the carbon dioxide was almost non-existent. Baked chicken with zero seasoning. The whole meal tasted more like a flavor enhancer than anything else. Conclusion, I will never enter the store again.

Yesterday I was there again after a while. Unfortunately we (my husband and I) realized that the taste of the food had really deteriorated compared to before. The Mongolian buffet was okay, but not as great as back then. In terms of taste, the Chinese buffet somehow has little to do with Asian cuisine as I know it. Beef with barbecue sauce and onions? But the selection is very extensive. The fruit and cake buffet is very appealing. The employees are also nice and helpful, but this time we weren't entirely impressed with the taste. Another positive thing to mention is of course the drinks flat rate.

We were there quite late in the evening. It was full and a bit too loud for me personally. The selection is very large, but there are a lot of finished products. We particularly noticed all the fried foods. It was dripping with fat and was just frozen food. I don't have to go there for that. The staff is very helpful and courteous, but that doesn't make the greasy food any better. Although there are other really tasty things there, the greasy frozen things have no place there. We had something packed up that we couldn't manage and put it in the hot air fryer again the next day. The fat was still there too. Generally far too expensive for the quality.

Went there for the first time in years to celebrate our son's birthday. The food was good, but the background noise was unfortunately very unpleasant, which made it difficult to have conversations. The freshly fried dishes were placed on a dish trolley where the used dishes were also collected. This is used to drive around the area. The waiter distributes the plates with numbers in one corner but also takes the dirty plates from there. Although there are still fresh plates of food on the trolley, they are then distributed in another corner of the hall. Unhygienic and not nice to look at. Every now and then a friendly young lady served and cleared away. She handled it more professionally

The Restsurant advertises promotions for the happy hour buffet at a price of 20.90 euros. When it comes to paying, you pay a price of 27 euros. The offer is on the restaurant's current website, but according to the statement the offer is old and no longer valid. Customers are only lured with the Angobot. For me it was the last visit to the restaurant. You can't win guests with such promotions.

I was very skeptical because of the many negative reviews here. A work colleague recommended the restaurant to me and I went there with my friend today and it was great! The food was hot and everything tasted very tasty. A huge selection of drinks and food and desserts. The staff on site was super friendly the whole time and helped with no matter what. Price performance ratio great! Will definitely go there more often. 👌🏻

If you want good food you just have to go there

Some of the food was cold and it wasn't refilled very well. Staff not necessarily unfriendly, but not particularly interested in the guest either. Ambience, in terms of decoration, a complete mishmash of oriental and other Mongolian/Chinese was hardly there. The worst thing was the children running around randomly while their parents were eating in peace. Several even spat on the ground. Unfortunately, one has to say, there were no German children. The staff didn't care. All in all, absolutely not recommended.

We had dinner here in the evening and it was extremely loud everywhere. Some of the food wasn't well seasoned and simply didn't taste good. We had to wait a long time for a table, despite having a reservation. There were kids running around everywhere, it seemed like they didn't belong to anyone and that they belonged to the restaurant. Many of the guests were wearing old sweatpants and it didn't exactly reflect the restaurant in the best light. In addition, we couldn't find a parking space in the parking garage and had to park far outside.

If you like Chinese food, you've come to the right place. There are some ready-made dishes, such as 8 treasures, curry with chicken etc. But you can also have something freshly prepared. Even sushi comes in different varieties. The selection is very good!!! The desserts are also very extensive. From ice cream to fruit, chocolate fountains, vanilla fountains etc. The drinks are included in the price. If you would like to have a coffee at the end, you can also get it in different types.

Because all you can eat and drink. Unlike the Gourmet Temple Dülmen, where you can drink unlimited beer, in Recklinghausen only 2 beers per person are included. The drink selection is poor. About the ambience: As with other larger Chinese buffet restaurants, there is also a canteen atmosphere here. The interior wasn't worn out or anything, at least from what I saw, but it seemed "cheap" to me. And now to the crux of the matter, the most important point for me in a restaurant, the food. The only thing I really remember positively are the breaded chicken strips. I didn't try fish, only 2 pieces of salmon to grill. was muddy. The comb for grilling had a lot of fat, the beef was completely cooked through, which made it very dry and difficult to cut, and the kangaroo and neck steak were also very tough. And everything else at the warm buffet was either soggy or oily. For dessert I limited myself to one portion, as the selection was quite large and so far it was okay. I think it's positive that drinks are charged above the buffet price. There is also a large selection of beers, soft drinks, energy and iced tea here. However, it is very unlikely that I will visit again, but tastes differ, everyone else in the group enjoyed it here and thought it was good, and half of the group had already been here several times.

We were fooled by the names because the Gourmet Temple in Dülmen is great, so we thought it would be basically the same in Recklinghausen. For the price you can't get anything better in the area. On a Saturday evening all you can eat including drinks flat for 28 euros. You just can't complain about that. Leider war das Essen am Buffet wenn überhaupt lauwarm, zu den Feiertagen sehr überlaufen und nicht zu empfehlen. Die inbegriffen Getränke sind ein kleines Highlight und der Mongolengrill hat zügig gearbeitet, die frisch zubereiteten Speisen waren gut und kamen obwohl es voll wahr zügig zum Tisch .

Wir waren schon in mehreren chinesischen Restaurants aber so wie bei dem gibt es nicht. Der Buffet war genial ob Vegetarisch , Fisch oder Fleisch ist alles da und Vielfalt von Früchten und Nachtisch.Der Koch macht das mit liebe, Service war auch perfekt es wird immer aufgeräumt. Da kann man immer gerne wieder hingehen. Vor allem die Toiletten sind sauber.

Heute das erste und letzte Mal mit meinem Sohn dort gewesen. Massenabfertigung, unfreundlich. Teilweise das Fleisch kalt und am Ende hatten wir beide zu Hause massiv Magenprobleme. Kein Service , Getränke muss man aus dem Kühlschrank holen. Meiner Meinung nicht 29 Euro wert 👎

Das Essen ist nicht zu empfehlen. Meistens Kalt und fettig. Außerdem unfreundliches Personal.

Essen ist immer frisch , Teller werden immer abgeholt , Mitarbeiter sind nett und freundlich. Am Getränkesortiment könnte noch was gemacht werden ist aber in Ordnung.

Wir waren diesmal zum All-You-Can-Eat-And-Drink Happy Hour am Samstag dort Online stand dass es ohne Grill ist, was auch vollkommen in Ordnung ist, aber als wir dort waren haben wir festgestellt, dass die Garnelen, die normalerweise bei der Nicht-Grill-Abteilung ist, NICHT mit dabei ist. Das Essen war nicht heiß und nicht kalt. Getränke gibt es mehr als genug. Würde wieder hin gehen, aber wäre schön dass man die Einzelheiten, wie die Garnelen auch vorher schreiben würde... Und an den Kellner, der den Teller einfach aus der Hand meines Bruder genommen hat, wäre schön wenn man auch fragen würde, ob man den Teller auch abgeben möchte... er wollte euch einen Teller sparen und diesen wiederverwenden...

Ich fand es sehr schön und kann die 1 Stern Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Auswahl und Qualität der Speisen waren völlig in Ordnung. Schokobrunnen ist optisch toll, hygienisch aber eine absolute Katastrophe. Da muss irgendwie ein Schutz drum. Jeder kann da theoretisch rein fassen und auch Reinhusten oder was weiß ich.
