I had thrown a baby party for a friend during our visit. The staff was rather unusual, there were empty dishes on the table for too long. No further requests were asked. However, the food and the ambience were very good.

Today we celebrated my name day at Lehners in Karlsruhe. I became aware of it by chance and Google research on the train to Karlsruhe and it was clear to me from the menu that I wanted to go there. And we weren't disappointed! The chicken schnitzel with a strong cream sauce was anything but lame but had a lot of flavor. The meat was super tender and the spaetzle was definitely homemade. My friend had cheese spaetzle with a very good cheese that also tasted like something. The waiter was very friendly and very casual, which we also liked. The highlight was definitely the chocolate cake with liquid caramel center. A supreme discipline where you can do a lot wrong. Here and today it was completely different! The cake melted in your mouth like cream, the caramel core finished off the delicate melting. You can't do it 10/10 better! We'll be back!

Nice and friendly service, food freshly made and decent quality. The outside area could be a little more comfortable, but I preferred the inside despite the good weather.

We were at Lehners yesterday and sat down at one of the bar tables next to the counter (unfortunately no one came to assign us a table, even though we waited a few minutes at the entrance). Unfortunately we weren't served by any of the service staff. After waiting for a long time, we took matters into our own hands and ordered directly at the counter. Beer was ok, when our first round was finished, no one noticed us again and asked if we would like anything. Again we forced ourselves on each other and spoke to a waitress who was passing by. Sure, the order was taken, but even now no one asked us whether we would like to eat something or whether we needed anything else. Unfortunately, I have rarely experienced such poor service. It's a shame, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, I can't judge the food, so we went somewhere else to eat...

Food is very good. The conditions are very friendly. If you go there in the evening and it's full, as is often the case, it's a bit difficult to have a conversation because of the room and it's very loud

We know Lehners from Rastatt and therefore decided to have dinner outside at Lehners on our last visit to Karlsruhe. The staff was very friendly and we were served quite quickly. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the food as the butcher's Maultaschen were too crispy and tasteless and the dark beer sauce was cold and very thin. We also discovered that the prices in Karlsruhe were much higher than in Rastatt and the portions were even smaller. In the end we had to wait a long time for our service so that we could pay. The ambience is certainly nice, but the toilet facilities are a bit old and the cleanliness of this place leaves a lot to be desired. We were very disappointed and will go to another restaurant in Karlsruhe next time.

Portions small, prices high! Neither of us were full, despite the high prices! It's cleared away even when someone else is eating - and the waiter doesn't understand what the problem is. Sorry, doesn't work at all.

Sat outside just wanted a dessert of Kaiserschmarrn and a coffee. The Kaiserschmarrn came very quickly, too quickly for my taste because you can't get it without raisins. Then a children's portion for an outrageous €9.00. The table and ashtray was not clean. When I pointed out the ashtray to her, she placed it as full as it was on the neighboring table where it then stood with another full ashtray and was still standing when we left. Simply rude I can't recommend it if you value good food and hygiene.

The burger was very good, the atmosphere was really nice. However: For almost 20 EUR (!) I expect more on the plate. I don't like leaving a restaurant hungry. And it would be nice if the nice gentlemen from the service only cleared away after both of them had eaten. I made the criticism and heard "I can't do anything about that." Aha. I would like to go somewhere else in the future, the selection in KA is big 😊

Hello, Last night there were seven of us who ate there and none of us were happy. The first thing we noticed was that the food was at our table too quickly and therefore wasn't really warm. I ordered the vegan bowl myself. However, calling this a bowl is a joke. It was a big salad and everything tasted like vinegar. I also had to spend €15 for it. The rest of the family had ordered vegetarian and meat dishes. These were definitely not worth their price, as my family members told me. In total we ate there for €180 and no one was happy. I definitely won't eat there again and won't recommend anyone to go there. In addition, the tables were far too close together, and every 5 minutes a waitress came and asked if everything was OK. The plates were cleared too quickly and due to all these factors the atmosphere was anything but comfortable.

Maybe this is the future of gastronomy in Germany... overwhelmed/overloaded waitresses and a sharp increase in prices. The Wirtshaus burger wasn't bad, although after an initial search I found the coleslaw confusingly right on the burger. But asking €19.50 for the thing is simply excessive. At the end, when we wanted to pay, the waitress wasn't in sight for a quarter of an hour. But no one else could step in and you couldn't pay at the bar either. I don't understand something like that. Otherwise everything is solid, great location of course on Ludwigsplatz.

Classic system catering. Tastes good to everyone and no one. Despite the fact that it says “inn love” and “brewing tradition” on the wall, this restaurant has shockingly little to do with tradition and inns. The service was slow and I just don't like the "chummy style". You can sit outside very nicely, but in my opinion that's the only plus point. It's nice there for an aperitif in summer.

Ordered a large favorite salad but only received a few lettuce leaves with two slices of cucumber. ☹️ too bad Thanks for the feedback, but I won't waste any more money with you. Your menu probably didn't convince your chef or why didn't you get what you ordered?

Total rip off. The food was good, but the prices on the menu weren't right (delta 2.9 EUR for cheese spaetzle) and they simply charged too much, even increasing the tip by 2 EUR.

Starter: beef carpaccio The size and taste justify the price of 14 euros. Main course: Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes Free breading. All in all very good. Service: Friendly, nice without being intrusive. Perfect. Ambience inside: Not my thing, but I come here for good food. Please change the grandma dishes.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, but I can say nothing about the service: there was none. The two of us sat outside around 7 p.m. At that point it wasn't even half full. First a waitress came to take the drinks, but we still wanted to look at the menu. Nobody came after that. All around us the waitresses were chatting with each other, tea lights were being lit and every now and then a guest was given a drink or the food they had ordered, but we were simply overlooked. We would have expected at least standard service from a store that calls itself upscale. Too bad! P.S. We then went to Enchilada across the street, a nice Mexican restaurant, and both the food and the service were great!

The food is bland and has little to do with “cooking”. We had the truffle fries for just under €9 and cheese spaetzle for just under €14. Regarding the fries: a mini portion, perhaps enough for a small child. Not crispy and The Truffle Mayo… no trace of real truffle, probably just a dash of truffle oil. Regarding the cheese spaetzle: an insult to every Swabian. Ready-made spaetzle from the wholesaler, put in the oven or salamander until the surface is dry and there is a penetrating note of roasted wiebeön, also a finished product. As a special request there was gravy. Original Maggi & Co. as mixed powder from the bucket. Greetings from glutamate and salt. All in all, the food is more than bland and anything but fresh and homemade. The prices are more for tourists who get lost and think they can eat original German. Ah yes, they charged another €8 for two glasses of filtered tap water. Conclusion: every sausage stand is more convincing here. It's nice to sit in, but that's about it. The conditions are nice but quite intrusive. Special requests such as a plate for the child are simply forgotten even though there was hardly anything going on.

There are two different breakfast menus in circulation here. Different offers and different prices for the same dish. We were here twice because you can sit outside very nicely. Unfortunately, the same breakfast looks very different. On Sunday the Black Forest ham was missing from the “classic”. On Saturday I asked to replace the cheese with cold cuts. The waitress agreed. Unfortunately, only the cheese was left out.

After years the Lehners were given another chance...and once again they were completely disappointed. There were twelve of us there. The first round of beer wasn't cold. We waited over 90 minutes for the food. The food was mostly cold. The burger burnt, dry and cold. The prices are way too high. So when you asked the waiter about the long waiting time, for example, you only got a stroppy answer...others wait longer... That's just not possible! Long waiting time for service even though there are always many people behind the counter and have time to chat. Toilets not clean. Sorry Lehners...that won't work. Bad food... Bad service... The knuckle looked good at the next table, so my husband and I spontaneously shared one. Very large, very crispy and delicious to look at. In terms of taste, however, it was very pale and bland on the inside and streaked with fat... perhaps it still lacked some time in the grill. Coleslaw and dumplings were good. and the friendly service, who had a good eye on everything, made up for everything else!

Lehners' Schwein Haxe is my favorite! Always come back to here whenever I feel like to get some delicous pork. Crispy crust, generous portion, lightly fermented cabbage salad, and two big potato balls, make perfect lunch for two! Plus, everybody here is so warm and welcoming. 😊

It is a cozy place in the center of Karlsruhe. The restaurant has an extensive menu with a diverse range of drinks, including many non-alcoholic options. Given the good reviews, I think we were unlucky with the food. We did not find the salads tasty and not filling enough for a meal salad. We then waited 40 minutes for Kaiserschmarrn which were tasteless and cold. Unfortunately, a disappointing experience in terms of food.

Beautiful inn with good food and friendly, quick service. Exactly what we wanted and expected - a good beer and a delicious (not fried in the deep fryer!!!) schnitzel. We'll be happy to come back next time you're in Karlsruhe! Small add-on: during our stay we noticed very positively that a member of the service went through the outside area with a broom and dustpan and looked to see if there was any rubbish lying around. The toilets were also checked.

Had the Maultaschen with potato salad and dark beer sauce. The (2) Maultaschen tasted like TK Maultaschen. The potato salad and the gravy were 100% from a tube/can/bucket. Unfortunately, I know the taste of the local canteen too well. Were there 2 hours ago. We still have the typical aftertaste of flavor enhancers in “ready-made food” in our mouths. It would be ok for cafeteria food. But for €16.90 it's just not good. Unfortunately very disappointed. Service was satisfactory. We got a table through the reservation. The food was picked up and brought to the table. In the end we were able to pay. Unfortunately, there were probably no requests for additional drinks or something similar. Ambiance was modern and nice.

We booked a table and when we arrived we needed to wait for a long time to get contact with staff. We went there for one of their specials and this was runned out at early as seven in the evening.

The staff is the only reason you could come over. Kräusen in steins that are not refrigerated, only 3/4 full. Music is so underground, toilets are virtually unusable, even moldy! In addition, Krausen and Goldköpfle do not taste the way they should taste. And all of this for such an outrageous price. We actually wanted to drink cocktails but you have to take out a loan for that. Besides, we left as quickly as possible. What a shame! Lehners used to be really good and cozy!

When we made a stop on our trip in Karlsruhe, we came across the inn. It was a nice atmosphere and comfortable to sit outside. The reviews were also good and we decided to eat there. Unfortunately, neither of us were really impressed with the food. It wasn't bad, but not really tasty either. When I saw the other tables, I knew what the good rating was for. The beer. Everyone drank beer and not that many ate. I think the inn is cozy and well attended, but I would look for another place to eat next time.

Strange review…. I know. I like coming to Lehners, great atmosphere, good food, waiters and waitresses are super nice. But what doesn't work at all is the woman who always stands at the entrance and gives you a seat. When she runs, she carries her nose so high that it almost rains in. The last time she slammed the card on the table as I walked past without looking at me or saying anything. I was really horrified. I find her behavior more than unprofessional and it doesn't fit in with the other service staff. By the way, it wasn't just me who noticed this The portions are also getting smaller and the prices are getting higher...

The food is completely overpriced. Mini portions of simple quality at high prices. Salad on a starter plate for 17.90 with approx. 50g chicken breast. Less is not possible. When ordering, the desired dish was shown on the menu and then another one was served anyway. With reluctance and discussions, the ordered dish was served. Incredible. Do the employees and owners seriously ask themselves whether they would accept this as guests!?

Sorry guys, absolutely disappointed. I was really looking forward to it, ate less during the day and because of the summer heat I ordered the “vegan” Lehners bowl because I thought that for €15.80 you would be full with a decent salad. Let it be said that a burger costs just under 17 euros and is no longer in proportion. But the fact that a salad costs almost as much at €15.80 is pure joke, sorry. If the salad was at least filling for this price, I wouldn't have written anything here. A bit of lettuce, a few quinoas, diced beetroot and a little something else, that's it. A bowl really looks different. You can get them at Mama Tan, Min Ramen or in the Bowl-Werk, three classes better and with a healthy price-performance ratio. For me, Lehners was a pure rip-off and absolutely exaggerated. My friend then ordered a fitness salad for €17.90. This one was even sparser than mine, making it an even bigger disappointment. After eating our salads, we sat there hungry and jokingly wondered whether we should go over to the kebab house. I then had two large wine spritzers, which cost €9 - in the Palatinate it's €4.20. And you have to ask yourself, what is actually going on here? Maybe a good middle-class tavern should do what it does best. For me it was the last time. I am absolutely no longer willing to pay overpriced prices and reduced portions. Good luck, dear Enchilada group.

To avoid. Waitress aggressively asks for tips, apparently obligatory. Which is not the case everywhere else. Price too high compared to the quantity and quality of what is on the plate.

The food is good with small weaknesses and is supplemented by a changing weekly menu/lunch menu. The interior is similar to a brewery and quite inviting, the service staff attentive and friendly. The only drawback is the toilets, lack of soap and toilet paper and dirty sinks are quite a negative point. Some of the condition is certainly caused by guests, then unfortunately you have to check more often. Still 4 points because the staff is super nice and you can forgive a slip-up when eating.

Great beer garden in the middle of Karlsruhe! Attentive, professional and numerous service staff! I had roast pork and Kaiserschmarrn, both excellent! The only drawback: Somehow the cooling of the tap system wasn't good that day and the beer was too warm. But the service employee solved it really well. Motto: Even a guest who complains should leave the restaurant satisfied. Also highly recommended: The Long Island Ice Tea. But beware! Adults only!

Unfortunately it didn't blow me away. Price-performance and for the portion you get, it was unfortunately not enough.

I wanted to order medium rare pepper crust steak and got it almost well done. For the price it wasn't worth it. The fries as a side dish, however, were very tasty. The service was also very friendly. For dessert we got the Kaiserschmarrn, which was ok. It probably would have tasted better without the caramelization.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. I find the seating under the umbrellas along the restaurant much too narrow. My meal, the Brauhausschnitzel with fries, tasted ok, but unfortunately it was only lukewarm at best. So no food should leave the kitchen.

Alla hopp, the last time I was at Lehners was years ago. I thought to myself: let's treat ourselves to something good for dinner and go to Lehners again. Our conclusion right at the beginning: you can do better! That couldn't have been everything. Unfortunately that wasn't the case today. Didn't have a reservation, but still got a table, great. But then it was forgotten at the table. Well, that can happen, then I asked politely for a card and it worked. Place an order? -an illusion of memory. Nobody comes again. Doesn’t anyone want mine 💰? Apparently not everyone is allowed to take an order, so we had to wait until the colleague came when we asked if we could order. After this "colleague" didn't come, the first colleague asked came and was responsible. Wirthausschnitzel, crispy breading is on the menu, oh well, not crispy with us. The portion of tavern fries for the tavern schnitzel is exactly the same size as the children's portion, and the price is twice as expensive. 18.80€ for 4mm meat thickness - each side 2mm breading. 8 sprouts as decoration and the section of lemon. The tavern fries are just fries with a shell. Alla, is that a highlight? Salad bowl, a small to medium salad plate with strips of turkey breast and a slice of bread. 17.90€, there's even more; Such as freshly homemade bread, baguettes or more “decorations”. By the way, a bowl is a bowl, not a plate ;-) . Käsespätzle 14.90€ were okay, Schlawiner (SchniPo) was also okay for the kids. A previous speaker said the portions weren't priced right. I agree with him. 80€ for 4 people (2 adults & 2 children), I expect something. But really something. I'm sure you can do better. Therefore, it's not a completely damning verdict - but even an hour later I'm still annoyed by the amount of money spent for so little "performance". The evening is young, full throttle Team Lehners, if anyone can do it, it's you. However, we are “healed” for now, there are no pictures; You saw the food yourself when it came out of the kitchen - if only it had been as nicely decorated as your employees, great. Beer is top - just Höpfner ;-). Google asks for child-friendliness, I can't rate it, nothing special was offered. Suggestion for improvement: create menus for children to color in. A pair of colored pencils to take with you afterwards. That should easily be included in the price.

Lehners is an absolute insider tip. Attractive atmosphere, very friendly staff, very good food and decent prices. Everything is right here.

Was catastrophic. Never eat here again. I can't recommend it. Food was lukewarm and service rude. Especially Bianca. The price was very high, not worth it, so I'd rather cook something myself.

The food is not worth the money. Spaetzle tastes like it was bought and the food is rather mediocre, not worth the price. Service seems disorganized and overwhelmed. Located right on the street with a lot of traffic.

Hello, we ate there today, once had Allgäu cheese spaetzle, tarte flambée and the specialty pork crust roast. The roast pork was lukewarm, carelessly placed on a plate, and the taste was only average. The tarte flambée is built up, as soon as it cools down it becomes tough like the sole of a shoe. Toppings below average and the sauce has already dried out. The cheese spaetzle was probably baked again in the oven, which is why the spaetzle on top was already very dried out. The taste was good but just a little creamier. Drinks: Radler is totally okay, the peach iced tea is a disgrace at over €7 Staff very nice and friendly, service quick. Local is fine, radiates a bit sterile, but okay. The toilets are super clean. Nice place to drink a beer, forget about the food as the prices don't match the service.

I went to dinner with work colleagues. The selection of vegetarian dishes was small. I ordered a salad, dressing was sour (too much vinegar). Then I ordered fries, they were too salty! Drink: Lemonade was mediocre, but a red non-alcoholic drink was tasty. Other than food, the restaurant was crowded and noisy. You can hardly have a conversation. Pros: pretty central, right next to the bus stop. Cons.: There is no free parking space.

I stumbled across Lehners by chance during an appointment in Karlsruhe. The restaurant offers a very nice and well-kept atmosphere. The staff is consistently friendly and very attentive and the menu offers a wide selection of dishes. Drinks and food come to the table quickly after you order. The food itself is delicious, beautifully presented and at a fair price. So I will definitely pay the Lehners a visit again when I'm back in Karlsruhe.
