Went to Karlsruhe with friends 2 weeks ago for a street festival and at Omonia for dinner twice. As always, very tasty 👋😁

The food is really good. I'm always happy to order there to pick up. I've also eaten in the restaurant 2-3 times, but the waiters are always so arrogant and very unfriendly. I don't know why that's why I only order take away

A large restaurant on 2 floors. Everything chic and new. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The sanitary area is also very clean and chic. The only thing that was a bit unpleasant was the noise in the crowded restaurant.

The Omonia Restaurant is always worth a visit. The service is excellent – ​​always friendly and attentive. The food impresses with its high quality and is prepared with a lot of love. The food and drinks are served quickly without losing any care. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very inviting and harmonious. One can only praise the restaurant and its dedicated staff.

We've eaten there several times now. It's so nice that there is still really good and authentic Greek food and not just the "sports restaurant Greeks". The food is fantastic all round. If you are more than two people, you should make a reservation to be on the safe side. The ambience is great, whether for a date, business lunch or with friends and family. Always happy again and definitely a culinary enrichment for Karlsruhe.

Everything about this place was great, except for the price. It wasn’t super expensive, but it could’ve easily been 5€ cheaper per person. We walked in and the ambience was so nice, it felt good to be in there. The waiters were quick and nice, always ready to help. We ordered a couple of main meat dishes, one of them fully chicken with some greek sauce, the other consisting of grilled pork. The second one was outstanding. Having these, with a couple of beers and no starters was 50€, and it felt too much for our budgets. But if this isn’t a problem for you, this place is great.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Omonia and I must say it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we entered we were greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially our waiter, Zisis Notas. He made us feel at home and gave us excellent recommendations from the menu. The meal itself was absolutely delicious. We started with the saganaki, which was cooked perfectly, and the grilled octopus, which was tender and flavorful. For our mains we had the moussaka and the lamb chops, both of which were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The portions were generous and we left full and satisfied. Overall, I can only warmly recommend the Omonia. The food, service and atmosphere were all first class. If you are looking for an authentic Greek meal then this is the place for you. Zisis Notas and the rest of the staff will ensure that you have an unforgettable evening.

First time here and the food actually exceeded my expectations. Very tasty, even if simple, but that's how it should be. Portion was very generous.

A very nice service. One point is deducted when eating. I actually love the Greek salad. But it was floating in oil (they don't do that anymore in Greece either) and the vegetables were incredibly cold from the fridge. Unfortunately you can't enjoy the salad like this.

Very nice, quiet atmosphere, not as loud as some other shops in the city. I've been there once for work and once for pleasure. The food is incredibly good and I'm a Mekelfritze :D Small but very fine wine selection. During our private visit, the meat on the grill wasn't particularly hot, but we also ate comfortably. The quality of the food, from starters to main courses, add-ons and side dishes, is simply very, very good. The staff is always very friendly and asks regularly whether something is missing.

So the service in the restaurant is simply first class. Really big compliments to the service staff. The food was very good. The starters were great. The main courses were also good, a little too spicy for my taste. The portions were large, I had a mixed grill plate that would have easily been enough for two people. Can only be recommended.

We were assigned to our table only to be asked again a little later whether we had really reserved. Somewhat rough handling, which was off putting. In addition, the service staff was replaced, which was strange all in all. Drinks and appetizers arrived quickly and were delicious. We waited about 35-40 minutes for the main course. The food was okay. The empty plates were left for some time. The ambience was nice, but the volume was too high. It wasn't a relaxed dinner, too hectic and loud. Not a second time.

Everything is great！ The service here is excellent and I highly recommend the grilled octopus appetizer. When we were unsure about the portion size, the waiter kindly pointed it out to us. We had a wonderful evening here and really enjoyed it.

Sehr gute Karte. Größe der Gerichte sehr passend. Die Speisen sind perfekt angerichtet. Qualität und Geschmack der Gerichte ohne jegliche Beanstandung. Personal ist sehr professionell, zuvorkommend, schnell und super nett. Auf jeden Fall ausprobieren wenn man in Karlsruhe ist.

The two of us each had a grill plate for €22. There was only bread, but not even fries (4€ extra) - an exchange was not possible either. All it came with was a tablespoon of tzatziki! It was empty after half the meat. An extra portion costs a hefty €5.50 and is way too much 🙄 If you want a grill plate with fries and enough tzatziki, you pay around €30 per person, which costs less than €20 with the competition. The waiter said that the tzatziki portion was specified by the boss. So you can assume that the aim is simply to make additional money here. The food itself was good but not worth the money.

If you order a cocktail to go here, you will get nothing but. 175 ml for 10 € a bottomless impudence I have never experienced anything like that even on holiday in Italy. It's best to go somewhere else if you want to get something for your money. You should be ashamed of yourself

We went to Omonia for lunch with the children for the first time. The service was very attentive and very friendly. The food was sufficient and very tasty. The prices are absolutely reasonable. It's lovely to sit under the trees in the passage courtyard. The interior decoration is tasteful. We'll definitely come back. Absolutely recommended.

Wir waren mit den Kindern zm Mittagessen im Omonia. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Essen war ausreichend und sehr lecker. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Man sitzt sehr schön im Passagehof unter Bäumen. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier, kommen aber bestimmt wieder. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Food was very tasty, I can't remember the last time I had such a great rump steak. Appetizers came too quickly, we didn't have any drinks yet. The beer garden is quite crowded, too many tables, therefore quite loud and a little uncomfortable. Service top and very friendly.

My first visit here. The interior design is really nice. You can also sit very nicely in the outdoor area. The service was very friendly. Eight of us ate here. Everything fresh and very tasty. Came across the Kaiserpassage Festival by chance. Then I stayed for dinner at Omonia - there was a great atmosphere, nice conversation, lots of waiters in a good mood (they were very busy) but still remained very friendly and attentive. 😎😋😎 Keep it up. Great very good restaurant.

The smell of Mediterranean spices and freshly grilled food was in the air and made me look forward to a delicious meal. The menu offers a wide range of Greek specialties, from small shareable bites to hearty meat and fish dishes. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the creative preparation at Omonia Karlsruhe. Everyone will find something to suit their taste here. I will definitely come again. Tip: Be sure to reserve online, especially on weekends!

I can only understand the positive reviews here because people here in the rural region are not used to so much I come from the Ruhr area. We have a lot of cities like Essen Duisburg Oberhausen Düsseldorf, Cologne So a Greek restaurant that doesn't even offer red tomato rice is an absolute no go - the souvlaki skewers on the wooden skewer. I've never seen anything like this in my entire life. That wasn't nice souvlaki meat Then the operators tolerated the fact that a homeless person who didn't even have teeth in his mouth was completely unkempt. He was allowed to harass the guests during the meal, play his terrible music, sing even though he couldn't sing at all, and scam the guests for money. I have nothing against beggars, if they are on the street and I notice them then I'm happy to give something, but in the restaurant when I'm eating it's an absolute nogo and the operators just looked on stupidly Of course, as a thank you there was not a cent tip and no visit ever again

The fish platter tasted very good. A little bit of everything. You can sit outside in a nice atmosphere. Card payment is possible. The menu otherwise offers everything you would expect from a Greek restaurant. Service friendly and normal waiting times.

Insanely bad and arrogant service. When the waiter pointed out that he preferred to speak English, we politely entered. Our food arrived lukewarm. After he poured the mineral water into the glass, the lid of the bottle fell to the ground in the dirt. He picked it up and blew the lid “clean” and seriously wanted to put it back on the bottle, which I was able to prevent. However, the waiter was more busy carrying tables around instead of at least asking if everything was OK or missing. Ultimately we had to get up ourselves and go to the counter to ask for what was missing. Instead of taking this as a polite hint, the waiter then came to the table and discussed loudly with us. About the food: as I said, the food was almost cold. The lettuce was wilted and mushy with some rotten spots. The toilets don't even have toilet seats, true to the motto: big business is not welcome here. Conclusion: great on the outside, poor on the inside. We left €80 for two people for below-average quality, terrible hygiene and catastrophic and disgraceful service. Never again!

The food was very tasty, I especially remember the baked pepperoni very well, highly recommended. The disturbing factor was that the conditions seemed a bit distracting, probably simply because it was very full, the prices were partly on the higher side, but this was somewhat justified by the delicious food, but the only thing that really bothered me was the noise . It was loud, the four of us could still have a conversation because we weren't sitting that far apart. When it gets louder, you can't help yourself by shouting 😬

Very fine restaurant in the Passagenhof, clear recommendation! It's nice to sit outside, especially when the weather is nice. The food was outstanding in quality and quantity! The calamari and anchovies are particularly recommended! Service very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately we had to wait a little longer for the wine, but there was a lot going on. Unfortunately we recommend doing nothing. Was here for lunch at lunchtime. There is not a single dish on the lunch menu without fries. If you want to eat gyros, you'll definitely get your money's worth here... We only had starters and weren't really happy :-(

Yesterday I was at Omonia in Karlsruhe for the second time because we liked it on the first visit. Yesterday we were completely disappointed and will definitely not go there again, but there are other places that are much better in this price range. The noise level is very high, you can hardly understand your own words, it has little to do with comfort, just like the 2 hour time window you have left. After the order was placed, the appetizer came very quickly. The 2 main courses took a while but not too long. Unfortunately, 1. a dish that was not ordered was brought to the table (instead of chicken breast fillet, chicken skewers were served) and the 2nd dish (gyros) came to the table already lukewarm and cold. After a complaint, the dishes were taken back. After another 10 minutes the wrong dish was brought out correctly and my gyros came to the table lukewarm again, as before. You can no longer heat up cold food under the heat lamps, I wonder what they were thinking. Since I was still hungry, I ate part of the gyros and added the over-salted fries. Conclusion: You can always do better if you want it. I hope you have a better experience in this restaurant, we will no longer be guests in this restaurant!!!!

Nice modern Greek place - good selection of starters/meze Main courses tasty and sufficiently large portions. Prices are fair for what is offered. Only for the slightly more expensive dishes would a small filling side dish be desirable instead of "just" grilled vegetables as standard (e.g. the lamb fillet** is super tender and delicious by the way) The only thing that bothers me about the ambience is the somewhat loud background noise. Otherwise, I recommend it without hesitation :) I'll be back

Food was great, the kitchen knows what it's doing. Atmosphere and service too. The fact that the restaurant is well attended speaks for itself, but the acoustics suffer somewhat here.

I was a little nervous because it took us a while to be seen once we'd been sat at the table, but that was simply due to how many people arrived at the same time as us, and there were no further issues at all. The waiter was great, playing around and joking with us (something which I find isn't so common in the region, and I sorely miss), and the food was exceptional and came out very quickly. We had a mixture of sharing plates and main dishes, and everything was top quality. I will definitely be back as soon as I can!

I think the prices are totally overpriced. Waiting times are far too long.
