We were in Omonia on a weekday evening. When we came into the restaurant the volume was still pleasant, but that changed very quickly. You could no longer understand your own words at your own table; to be honest, a train station hall is even quieter. Since we had a table near the counter (counter is not for sitting and drinking drinks, but only for preparing the drinks), in addition to the noise from the remaining guests, we also had the staff screaming behind the counter as a noise level at the table. Unfortunately, it's not possible to eat comfortably. According to the menu, the meal was a platter for two people. To be honest, in other Greek restaurants in Karlsruhe that would only be one plate for one person. But the price was too high for this measly record. The taste wasn't bad, but unfortunately it wasn't worth the price. Our conclusion is that we won't come back again because this unbearable noise and then this puny record for the money are not acceptable.

Apparently that wasn't possible, but oven-baked vegetables worked instead. Unusual! Ambiance: The interior has the feel of a large cocktail bar rather than a Greek restaurant. Personally, I found it a bit uncomfortable. We were there on Saturday evening. It was crowded and very loud. I could only have a shouting conversation with my wife.

Thank you very much, it was a very nice evening and a thank you to the service staff who were very friendly and warm and stayed there extra long until the celebration was over. Greek cuisine, good service and good value for money

The store is really a joke. We made reservations for four people. Attention: Here you won't get any side dishes with your (already overpriced) dishes. These must be ordered and paid for separately. The side dishes prices start from €5.50. One of us wanted to order the salmon with vegetables. She wanted to exchange the vegetables for another side dish and would have paid the difference in price. She wanted potato chips for €5.90. The waitress cheekily said: No, that's not possible, you can only have the mashed potatoes (which also costs €5.90). You don't have to understand the logic. She then received the mashed potatoes as a side dish. In the picture you can see what a portion of KaPü that was. Another wanted the chicken skewers for €16.90. He got 100 grams of chicken with a small side salad from the bag. You won't get tired of it. We had the same game with the souvlaki skewers. Here we had some bread instead of salad. The latter of us had ordered Bifteki. The meat was inedible, pressed gray minced meat that tasted very stale. Regarding the service: rather bad than good. Mistakes were made all the time. Instead of a small water we were given a bottle of water. When a coke was reordered, it only came after repeated requests Minutes later. And then twice as much. After the meal a free ouza was offered. We asked if we could have a liqueur instead of the ouzo. Here it was said again: No, that doesn't work. This is a new-modern Greek restaurant that has no idea about Greek cuisine. The starters were all OK, but still far too expensive at almost €10 per meze.

Four of us were in the restaurant on December 25th. The reason was the Christmas menu. 6 courses for 69 euros per person and a children's menu for 16.90 euros. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. The service is friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty and the size was perfect. We were all completely satisfied. We'll be back to try a la carte.

We had reserved a table for our Christmas party and were greeted very friendly. In general, the service staff was very attentive, nice and responded well to funny sayings. Despite the fact that both floors were full, our food was served very quickly and no one had to stay thirsty for long. 👍🏻 The food was delicious and filling. I was very happy to have been on the upper floor because it was very warm downstairs. However, that is my only criticism.

We wanted to have lunch at the Omonia restaurant today. The ambience is average and the service is nice. However, there was a live caterpillar in my salad. That was a disgusting experience! Unfortunately, the arrogant boss didn't think it was necessary to apologize! On the contrary, he also accused me of putting the caterpillar in my food. I think that kind of behavior is unacceptable! I will report it to the health department. Restaurant cannot be recommended in any way

Food: Meat good, minced meat sometimes spongy. Salad very simple. Pita OK, potato chips very good. Coffee was bad. Walnut cake was cold, and just sweet. Extra requests, such as replacing an insert, were filed. Service: Friendly, but sometimes he didn't understand us because he couldn't speak German properly. Also couldn't explain the map clearly. Atmosphere: OK. In winter on Sunday there was no proper heating and it was a bit cold. A guest was ace and made video calls in the restaurant, which was not stopped. Maybe it was the owners. It is a large room that is well and beautifully furnished, but there is little privacy. What's also annoying are the card machines that try to give a tip that is too necessary. Overall: meat and potatoes good, dessert bad. Atmosphere goes like this. You can definitely eat here, but I don't really feel the need to come back. Then prefer a Greek restaurant with a more familiar and authentic atmosphere.

Very courteous and professional staff

I would like to share my experience with the service in your restaurant. I asked two waiters if it would be possible to sit me at a quieter table due to my severe hearing impairment. The first waitress agreed, but the second came over and refused, grinning at me. Although there were enough free seats upstairs that were served, I suspect that the second waiter had a personal problem with me. I found this behavior very hurtful and that's why I rate the service with one star. I hope I will experience better service next time and am happy to revise my rating.

Disappointing experience at Omonia I was at Omonia in Karlsruhe on Saturday and would like to share my experience. I usually enjoy a good meal and leave a tip because I know mistakes can happen - we're all human. But what I experienced here was really disappointing. I had reserved a table for two people for 8 p.m. Even though we got there on time, we had to wait 10 minutes. This is annoying, but still bearable. What was really unacceptable, however, was the food. I ordered a grilled octopus and what was I served? A single octopus arm that wasn't even grilled. This is far from what I expected and really put a damper on my evening. Mistakes can happen, but this was simply disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes such feedback seriously and improves in the future.

Excellente adresse cachée sur une petite place au Centre ville de Karlsruhe où sont déclinées un lot de spécialités Grecques 🇬🇷 joliment et finement cuisinées. Everything about this place was great, except for the price. It wasn’t super expensive, but it could’ve easily been 5€ cheaper per person. We walked in and the ambience was so nice, it felt good to be in there. The waiters were quick and nice, always ready to help. We ordered a couple of main meat dishes, one of them fully chicken with some greek sauce, the other consisting of grilled pork. The second one was outstanding. Having these, with a couple of beers and no starters was 50€, and it felt too much for our budgets. But if this isn’t a problem for you, this place is great.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Omonia and I must say it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we entered we were greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially our waiter, Zisis Notas. He made us feel at home and gave us excellent recommendations from the menu. The meal itself was absolutely delicious. We started with the saganaki, which was cooked perfectly, and the grilled octopus, which was tender and flavorful. For our mains we had the moussaka and the lamb chops, both of which were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The portions were generous and we left full and satisfied. Overall, I can only warmly recommend the Omonia. The food, service and atmosphere were all first class. If you are looking for an authentic Greek meal then this is the place for you. Zisis Notas and the rest of the staff will ensure that you have an unforgettable evening.

A very nice service. One point is deducted when eating. I actually love the Greek salad. But it was floating in oil (they don't do that anymore in Greece either) and the vegetables were incredibly cold from the fridge. Unfortunately you can't enjoy the salad like this.

The food was okay. The empty plates were left for some time. The ambience was nice, but the volume was too high. It wasn't a relaxed dinner, too hectic and loud. Not a second time.

The two of us each had a grill plate for €22. There was only bread, but not even fries (4€ extra) - an exchange was not possible either. All it came with was a tablespoon of tzatziki! It was empty after half the meat. An extra portion costs a hefty €5.50 and is way too much 🙄 If you want a grill plate with fries and enough tzatziki, you pay around €30 per person, which costs less than €20 with the competition. The waiter said that the tzatziki portion was specified by the boss. So you can assume that the aim is simply to make additional money here. The food itself was good but not worth the money.

We went to Omonia for lunch with the children for the first time. The service was very attentive and very friendly. The food was sufficient and very tasty. The prices are absolutely reasonable. It's lovely to sit under the trees in the passage courtyard. The interior decoration is tasteful. We'll definitely come back. Absolutely recommended.

Wir waren mit den Kindern zm Mittagessen im Omonia. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Essen war ausreichend und sehr lecker. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen. Man sitzt sehr schön im Passagehof unter Bäumen. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier, kommen aber bestimmt wieder. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Came across the Kaiserpassage Festival by chance. Then I stayed for dinner at Omonia - there was a great atmosphere, nice conversation, lots of waiters in a good mood (they were very busy) but still remained very friendly and attentive. 😎😋😎 Keep it up. Great very good restaurant.

I can only understand the positive reviews here because people here in the rural region are not used to so much I come from the Ruhr area. We have a lot of cities like Essen Duisburg Oberhausen Düsseldorf, Cologne So a Greek restaurant that doesn't even offer red tomato rice is an absolute no go - the souvlaki skewers on the wooden skewer. I've never seen anything like this in my entire life. That wasn't nice souvlaki meat Then the operators tolerated the fact that a homeless person who didn't even have teeth in his mouth was completely unkempt. He was allowed to harass the guests during the meal, play his terrible music, sing even though he couldn't sing at all, and scam the guests for money. Insanely bad and arrogant service. When the waiter pointed out that he preferred to speak English, we politely entered. Our food arrived lukewarm. After he poured the mineral water into the glass, the lid of the bottle fell to the ground in the dirt. He picked it up and blew the lid “clean” and seriously wanted to put it back on the bottle, which I was able to prevent. However, the waiter was more busy carrying tables around instead of at least asking if everything was OK or missing. About the food: as I said, the food was almost cold. The lettuce was wilted and mushy with some rotten spots.
