A great place to relax with friends and family. Very tasty cuisine and very large portions. Good service.

Food was good, staff was nice and accommodating, unfortunately the toilets weren't the cleanest. There is a very nice beer garden under the trees.

The food is good, but not outstanding. Staff should receive training on service. You will not be asked if you would like to drink or eat something else. Generally not polite treatment of guests. Long waiting time for the bill.

I've been there more often since 2004 and we've held company parties there. The ambience hasn't changed much, it's now Greek, but still worth a visit.

We had 2 Wiener-style schnitzels with fries. The schnitzels were not seasoned. There was also no salt on the fries. Otherwise everything was good. It's just a shame about the schnitzel meat.

I just ordered takeout for an octopus salad with some extra pepperoni and a coleslaw. The octopus salad was good, but came without the extra pepperoni and the coleslaw unfortunately had an aftertaste of dumped milk. Probably sucked up the fridge smell. No ouzo was offered. Nothing drives me in again.

In the middle of the coldest winter, just before we left, I really wanted to eat a real Schäufele. Unfortunately, this is easier to go hungry in the run-up to Christmas than done. Because according to Schäufele tradition, gourmets have to wait until Sunday. Luckily we did some research and found the “Golden Lion”. I was really excited about my Thursday scoop. Ambiance: Family. Warm, rustic, almost like grandma's living room feeling. Facilities: Perfect. Not too crowded. Great rustic accents and old original wall paintings bring the guest room to life. The wood fireplace was the highlight for us. Service: Great! Every wish was fulfilled. Very intuitive. Also my partner (himself Chef de Cuisine) was thrilled. It's a family business and you notice that straight away. From grandma & grandpa, mom & dad to younger nephews and grandchildren, everyone is represented. And you can tell how seriously they take and love this business. The service, the posture and the mannerisms of the servers resembled fine dining for us. The food: Fantastic! The crust of my scoop was crispy and perfect! I could have eaten tons of it! Dumplings fluffy. And the sauce was sensational. My partner chose the moussaka and was raving about it the whole time. The main course was so perfect for him that he didn't want dessert. Conclusion: We will definitely be back!

Great beer garden with very good food and friendly service

Some of the food was very good and the service was friendly, although occasionally something was forgotten and we had to remind the waiter! Unfortunately, with a plate of fries and soflaki, the soflaki was very thin and therefore very dry! The rest was super juicy! I highly recommend the cheese-filled soflaki!

We actually wanted to get something to eat for Mother's Day today and went to a Greek restaurant where we were always thrilled. No sooner said than done, we picked up the food and were really shocked. The schnitzel wasn't seasoned, I don't think there was any salt in the fries, the gyros were all flax and way too many pieces of fat and last but not least the butter rice was not butter rice but vegetable rice. Unfortunately the food ended up in the trash because it wasn't good. There is no need to talk about the prices anymore, but unfortunately we will look for a new Greek.

Food wasn't very good. Baby calamaris were baked, hardly any breading and totally fatty. Food was cold and for the money €17.50 for 4 small calamari and some fries was way too expensive. We won't be coming back

Great, sometimes exceptional cuisine, such as Saganaki Garides, the vegetables for the fish dishes and the homemade herb butter. Meat, especially souvlaki, is almost always buttery and juicy. The guys are super friendly and you always feel very welcome.

Good Greek and Franconian cuisine. Very friendly service, and not just because of the Usos. The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice. Price/performance is still okay.

The plates are very tasty. In keeping with the location, there is also a Wallenstein room and some interesting paintings about this Zhema on the walls.

Eat like in Greece! The salad with chicken strips was great. My souflaki was also nice and juicy and super tasty. We have found our new "favorite Greek".

The taste of the food was ok, but you can't go wrong with baked zucchini and aubergines and ready-made pasta. And then charging €25 for it is too much. The price was way too expensive for the food presented. We will not eat here again.

We were looking for a place to have dinner after a busy day at the fair and came across the Golden Lion. First of all, one thing: it was absolutely great! I don't know how authentically Greek the cuisine in Löwen is, I can only say: I really enjoyed it. And no Greek restaurant has managed to do that yet, which is why I'm actually not a particular fan of these restaurants. I was able to experience a village plate that also had grilled liver - it was cooked to perfection. It couldn't be better - which I told the kitchen and thanked them. 👍 When we returned days later, the waiter asked if I would like a portion of liver! (I would like to have a personal memory like that!) And of course I couldn't miss it... By the way: it was absolutely perfect again - great cinema on the plate! That was true for everyone in our group: utmost satisfaction, we all thought it was a shame that the Golden Lion was a bit far away for us Austrians... 😉 Great cuisine, such friendly and competent service people in a pleasant atmosphere - that's the Golden Lion! Thank you for these evenings!

The salmon fillet with vegetables from the lunch menu that I chose was excellent. The Olympic plate and the zander fillet not only looked very good, but according to reports from my friends they were also excellent. We can only recommend it and we will come back.

Dry gyros, really good Schäufele

Can only recommend, very friendly service and delicious food.

Not everything becomes more expensive, but the portions simply become fewer. 3 calamari + a handful of gyros for 15 euros. Quality is good, quantity is very meager, especially for goods that really don't cost anything to buy. Don't know if I'll come again.

Went for the first time today and were very satisfied, very nice and courteous service. The warm starter platter for 2 people is highly recommended 👍 I have never eaten such good calamari, absolutely great! We can only recommend it and don't understand the negative reviews at all.

We ordered food to pick up, Suflaki, Giros, salad and potatoes. Bad as hell, never again...

Food, both Greek and local, was tasty, good sized portions, fresh. Service was impeccable and the location was really nice!

Essen war wie immer prima. Der Gastraum sehr kalt.

Der "Goldene Löwe" liegt direkt im Herzen Zirndorf's, direkt am Marktplatz. Das Restaurant reicht vor allem leckeres griechisches Essen. Alles, wirklich alles, ist extrem schmackhaft. Dieses Restaurant sieht mich bald wieder!!

Waren heute ohne Reservierung vor Ort.😏 Sofort Platz bekommen.👍 Die Anordnung der Tische sehr erdrückend. (Zu Eng) (Kaminzimmer) Vorher, war dies etwas lockerer. Speisen und Getränke Top, und schnell. Daher 1 Stern Abzug.

Ich würde sagen der beste Grieche in der Gegend. Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr guter Service. Hier sollte sich die Konkurrenz mal Impressionen holen.

Attended a company party which also consisted of a buffet. Upon arrival, tables were not only not setup in the upstairs gallery but were sticky with crumbs from the previous day (or days?). Ordering non alcoholic drinks took as long as 45 minutes to be served but that after asking the server 3 times. The Greek Buffet was 1/2 later as planned but the guests at the rear of the line only got salad and tzatziki with no bread. Asked the server if more was coming and he said no, that’s all there is. I can’t really judge the food quality since I didn’t have a chance to get any.

Ganz Ehrlich, wir waren in einer größeren Gesellschaft dort ,ca 60 Personen. Mir schien das Personal schier überfordert. Absolut für mich nicht zu empfehlen. Ich hoffe das es im Lokal besser läuft. Ich mag da nicht mehr hin. Bin für 39 Euro nicht satt geworden und zum trinken bekam man auch nur 1 Getränk. Schade, sehr schade 😓

Schönes Restaurant in der Zirndorfer Innenstadt mit Fränkischer und Griechischer Küche, guter Getränke und Nachspeisenauswahl.

Mit fast 20€ für einen gemischten Fleischteller (Epidaurus) war die Menge und Qualität einfach nur schlecht. Ein kleines Stück Lamm, welches sehr zäh und sehnig war. 2 etwa 5 cm kleine Souvlaki welche ganz ok waren, jedoch winzig. Ein kleines Stück Suzuki, etwa nur ein großer Löffel mit Gyros, welches auch sehr sehnig und zäh war und etwas Reis, Zaziki, das wars! Meine Partnerin hatte eine Fischplatte für über 20€ und das war eine reine Katastrophe! Es war ein kleines Stück Lachs drauf (ca 2cm × 10cm!), welches einfach nur nach fett geschmeckt hat (als wäre es aus Faulheit frittiert worden), nur 1 Scampi und paar miniatur Kalamari die auch nicht gut schmeckten. Dazu gab es 1-2 Löffel matschiges Gemüse mit Soja oder Maggi Würze zubereitet (so hat es zumindest geschmeckt)... Geschmacklich war fast alles schlecht, die Portionen ein Witz und völlig überteuert. Bedienung war ganz freundlich. Jedoch hieß es zu Beginn als wir uns hinsetzten, dass wenn wir Essen bestellen, die Zubereitung wegen den viele Gästen eine halbe Stunde dauern könnte. Nur durften wir über eine halbe Stunde alleine auf den Kellner warten um überhaupt etwas bestellen zu können, wir saßen die ganze Zeit auf dem Trockenen. Leider war das eine schlechte Erfahrung und auch unser erster und letzter Besuch, es war wohl mit Abstand der schlechteste "Grieche" bei dem ich jemals war. Für über 60€ für 2 Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind, hat man in der Umgebung definitiv viel bessere Optionen.

Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam.Das Essen ist sehr gut. Gehe immer wieder gerne hin.

Waren nun das zweite mal hier, denn jeder soll eine zweite Chance bekommen. Aber das selbe Ergebnis. Service war zwar freundlich, trotzdem wirkten die Kellner genervt und die Freundlichkeit nur aufgesetzt. Das Essen war beide Male OK, aber nicht sehr viel Geschmack. Außerdem waren die Speisen jedesmal sehr trocken. Ambiente ist schön, aber was nutzt mir das, wenn das Essen zu wünschen lässt.

Wir waren jetzt schon zweimal hier und der Service scheint etwas zu überfordert zu sein oder es ist zu wenig Personal da. Die Bestellung wurde spät aufgenommen, Beilagensalat kam vor der Vorspeise. Getränke teilweise falsch bekommen oder vergessen. Dessert Zitronensorbet seit über zwei Monaten nicht bestellbar. Rinderfilet war auch nicht bestellbar seit 5 Tagen... Die Speisen an sich sind sehr gut, teilweise aber nicht mehr ganz so frisch [Calamarus im Vorspeisenteller sowie die dicken weißen Bohnen]. Fleisch war i.O sowie die Portionen. Der Ouzo wurde an diesem Rag auch irgendwie vergessen.

Für mich gehört in dieses Lokal deutsche Küche. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das griechische Essen war auch wirklich gut, das deutsche leider nicht. Das Schäufele war zäh und geschmacklos.

Es war ok, mehr aber auch nicht. Essen durchschnittlich, kleine Portionen. Hähnchenbrust konnte man nicht zerkauen. Preisleistung stimmt nicht.

Waren heute zu dritt dort zum Mittagessen. Freundlicher schneller Service, gutes Essen im preislichem Rahmen. Gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Kommen gerne wieder.

Jetzt unter griechischer Regie ist der Goldene Löwe in Zirndorf wieder empfehlenswert. Wir haben hier gut gegessen. Besonders die gegrillten Baby-Kalamari sind zu empfehlen. Auch die angebotenen Weine sind gut und passen zu den Speisen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Preisgefüge ist noch im Rahmen. Empfehlung.

Leider sind wir gar nicht zum Essen gekommen, weil der Chef (oder war`s der Kellner ?) pampig war und wir deshalb wieder gegangen sind.

jetzt unter griechischer Leitung und ich war in relativ kurzer Zeit 2x dort - 1x im Biergarten und 1x im Saal. Der Service war jedesmal schnell und aufmerksam und die Wartezeit kurz. Mittags gibts wohl unter der Woche Mittagsmenues. Die Speisen waren beide Male wirklich sehr gut, für mich persönlich vielleicht eine Spur zu mild... Ausprobieren lohnt sich also, sei´s im Biergarten, Mittagstisch, Innengastro oder für grössere Gruppen im Saal.

Wenn der Salat schon überdurchschnittlich ist dann ist es der Rest in der Regel ja auch. Die Theorie wird hier ein Mal mehr bestätigt! Lamm, Filetsteaks, Gyros, Souvlaki super saftig. Auch die Nachspeisen zum „reinsetzen“.

Das Lokal ist rustikal dunkel eingerichtet. Es gibt auch einen Biergarten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist geschmacklich wie qualitativ sehr gut. Die Portionen sind auch nicht gerade klein.

Das Essen ist nicht Besonders, Bedienung geht gerade noch so. Der "Chef" stolziert zwischen seinen Läden umher, im Einen machte er einen auf Italienisch + Möchtegern gehobene Küche (völlige Selbstüberschätzung). Im Anderen (Goldener Löwe) auf Fränkisch, aber nur der Speisekarte nach, die Realität ist anders, das kocht jeder Single ohne Erfahrung genauso.... Ein Glas Prosseco unverschämte 6,90 €, wenigstens das hat "Weltstadtniveau". Weiter so, ich denke, dann ist da bald wieder Schluss....

Der Kellner war bemüht, aber man merkte leider deutlich, dass er nicht vom Fach ist. Dass etwas ´runterfällt kann immer passieren, aber wenn bei fast jedem Essen der Finger während des Servierens im Teller ist, das Salatdressing ´rausschwappt etc : kann man mögen, muss man aber nicht. Dann wurden dem Armen auch noch die Getränke teilweise so voll eingeschenkt, dass selbst der Profi mit dem Servieren so seine Probleme gehabt hätte. Mit dem Essen waren einige von uns unglücklich: der Pfeffer-Karpfen war ziemlich geschmacksneutral, der normale Karpfen schmeckte nach gar nix, die Sossen waren zum teil so angedickt, dass es nicht mehr feierlich war. Tolles Lokal, toller Biergarten - aber sorry: so wird das nix...

Die Klöße waren roh, die Pfannkuchesuppe ohne richtige Suppe, die Pommes zu hart und das Schäuferle ohne Kruste..

Das Essen war nicht so Schmackhaft wie ich es gewohnt bin, Baumkuchen Holle Teigrolle mit bisschen Zucker Kruste (Sehr Trocken) Kalbsbraten eine Scheibe 1 Kleines Klos mit soße (ohne Geschmack) Tütchen Soße kein Pep! Bewirtung unterorganisiert Vergesslich Längere Wartezeit
