Golden Choice Restaurant in Berlin

We ordered PHO soup and some sushi through wolt and the courier left half the order behind. The restaurant took care of the communication with wolt and reshipped (wolt covered this). The food was delicious and the support we received was nothing I have never experienced before (and we have had similar problems with wolt and other restaurants...) Well done to Nguyen and the team at golden choice.

Zero stars. Service and food were abysmal. Although only two other tables were occupied besides ours, the service was extremely slow, inattentive, and unfriendly. We wanted vegan food and had explicitly asked beforehand. Dishes were marked as vegan on the menu. Nevertheless, a dish containing egg was served. When we pointed this out, an argument ensued because the waiter insisted it was vegetarian. They clearly didn't understand the concepts of vegan and vegetarian. To avoid wasting food, I offered to take the incorrect dish to go at a reduced price. Instead of resolving the issue, the wrong dish was served again. In the end, they wanted to charge us the full price for the faulty dish and demonstratively threw it away rather than let us take it. This was accompanied by a loud argument in the middle of the restaurant. The waiter was disrespectful, aggressive, and unhygienic. This combination is unacceptable. Furthermore, the food seemed heavily loaded with MSG; the labeling on the menu is misleading. Apparently, there are no vegan options here. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. With service like this, I will never set foot in this establishment again.

The restaurant's name speaks for itself. Best pho I ever had, the best after a rainy day. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the lapse between ordering and the order getting to the table was around 5 mins. Very recommended overall.

The food was insanely good and scrumptious! Especially the Crispy Rolls were some of the if not the best I have ever had and the other food was also great! It is also really easy to order some food to go. The restaurant is located very close to some sights and also easy to reach via public transport. There are no stairs and decent room for wheelchair users as far as I was able to judge. The staff is also very kind and though the order takes a bit, every second is definitely worth it and flies past quickly in the cozy sitting area! Both chop sticks and forks and knives and such cutlery were provided directly. All in all the visits were really wonderful!

Food is very tasty. Preparation is very quick. Prices are reasonable for the food. Staff is nice, attentive and not intrusive. Ambience is calm and the aquarium is nice to watch. We'd love to come back.

The food is alright, location is also good, however, no customer service standards whatsoever. We work in the area and we go around lunch time sometimes - don't do that. Maybe they are too stressed around that time, but the food is not good enough to put up with unhappy employee' attitudes.

First time at a Vietnamese and I'm glad I went here. The place is very nice and relaxing with those soft lights, very nice staff in trying to explain the dishes to you. Amazing fried appetizers and rolls. I chose the “Ca Lach Nuong Ka” with grilled salmon fillet, rice, chilli, garlic and coriander… I wanted a load of it!

Heute auf der Suche nach einer echten "Pho" (Nudelsuppe) gewesen. Versuche es immer wieder und stelle fest, dass viele diese Asia-Suppenwürfel einsetzen. Nicht hier! Wer eine gute Pho (in diesem Fall eine "Pho Bo" -> mit Rindfleisch) zu schätzen weiß, wird genau hier fündig! Super lecker... Sie wird auch eigens einen Tag lang aufbereitet und genau so schmeckt das auch. Wenn ihr nun Kenner seid, perfekt - hier werdet hier fündig! Für alle anderen - die aber gerne Asia-Suppen essen - hier ist der Geschmack einer solchen Pho-Suppe authentisch! Die Portionsgröße ist so wie ich es kenne. Hält auch eine Weile vor.. Und ganz wichtig neben dem Geschmack -> Sie sorgt für ein zufriedenes Bauchgefühl -und Lebensgefühl, wie ich es sonst von guten Pho-Köchen gewohnt bin. Der Laden ist ansonsten gleichfalls recht ansprechend und zu diesem Zeitpunkt (30.4. - Samstag @ 20:30 Uhr) ur-gemütlich und aber auch (leider) wenig besucht (Nahezu freie Platzwahl). Die Bedienung spricht relativ gebrochenes Deutsch. Ist aber ohne Frage super nett und gastfreundlich und auch wenn er keine großen Konversationen führen kann, kennt er seine Speisekarte :D Etwas beschäftigt war er. Kann also sein, dass man schon mal nicht gleich den Tisch abgeräumt bekommt oder die Rechnung gebracht. Muss man halt auch was sagen :) Aber dann spurt er! Die Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Auch hier nagt der Zahn der Zeit generell an der Speisekarte. Aber relativ zur Gesamtsituation sind die Preise OK. Die Gäste sahen hier zufrieden aus. Auch die anderen Gerichte haben mich optisch angesprochen. Ich komme sicher wieder, um das ein oder andere Gericht zu probieren um mich auch hier vom Geschmack und der Qualität zu überzeugen. Aber zu 100% weiss ich um die authentische "Pho-Suppe"!

Formerly called Minh Quang. We still call it that because the old name somehow fits better and we believe that the Vietnamese spirit of refinement, coolness and disarming friendliness still reigns supreme in this rather unassuming Vietnamese restaurant. The Behrenberg bankers who prepared the IPO of Home24 next door were already sitting here. But also simply the families with Omaundopa who live around the corner. Nice atmosphere. The fried udon noodles are amazing! The sesame marinated tofu!! The mango salad with beef strips! Duck in peanut sauce. Sushi at all! And the summer rolls with whatever. Recommendation.

Ein Freund führte mich hierher, es wäre das beste vietn. Restaurant. Da ich nur ne Kleinigkeit wollte, kann ich nur garnelengefüllte Wan Tans und Hühnerbrühe mit Glasnudeln beurteilen. Beides war gut, in der Suppe war frisches Gemüse, sogar Pak Choi. Kellnerin war schnell und aufmerksam. Ich glaube, da kann man wieder hin. Aber: Ein Stern Abzug, weil das Keramikgeschirr, sowohl Suppenschälchen und Untertasse sehr stark - mindestens 5 x - angeschlagen war. Das ist ungastlich und sollte ausgetauscht werden - Verletzungsgefahr.

Very friendly staff! Besides german, they can speak english as well. The tables are cleaned between every person. The quality and taste of the food was great, everything was very fresh and tasty. Portions are big and leave you full, a little pricey, but worth it! All together I recommend!

War auf jedenfall nicht die golden choice

Vielfältiges Sortiment an Speisen und viele verschiedene Arten von Sushi. Besonders die Crunchy Rolls waren atemberaubend. Die Atomsphäre war entspannt.

Rigtig god mad. Friske råvare. Fornuftig pris. God service. Autentisk .

Sehr gutes Essen und die Cocktails sind auch zu empfehlen.

Lekker eten..grote portie Vriendelijke bediening

I took rise with chicken and vegetables and soup. The rise was from "yesterday", the sauce in it was disgustingly sweet, you could smell the sweetener in it. The meat was mixed with flour (?) and cold. Salty soup with strange smelling vegetables. The food went to the garbage. Never again!!!

A decent Asian food served fast. Nice interior with a downside, in the summer inside is way too hot. There are a couple of tables outside but the street is pretty busy. Give it a try, you'll probably like it.

Eigentlich wollten wir zum Schnitzelkönig - hatten aber kein Tisch mehr bekommen. Das Schicksal hat uns also zum Golden Choice geführt, da unser Hotel um die Ecke ist und wir nicht weit laufen wollten. Somit kann ich euch berichten, dass alle Speisen sehr lecker waren. Den Kids hat’s es auch geschmeckt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

SEHR GUTES ESSEN IM RESTAURANT - FRAGWÜRDIG BEI BESTELLUNG Die mit Abstand beste Pho-Suppe der Stadt! Auch die anderen Gerichte lecker und frisch, empfehlenswert auch die selbstgemachten Limonaden. Sushi-Portionen allerdings recht klein (ohne Zusatzbestellungen zum "Menue" wäre ich nicht satt geworden). Bei Bestellung über Lieferando einer der dort aufgeführten 3 Pho-Gerichte (Pho = Suppe) wurde ein Nudelgericht geliefert. Auf meine Reklamation, dass Pho per Definition eine Suppe ist und keinesfalls ein Nudelgericht, wollte man zunächst diskutieren, meinte der Fehler läge bei mir, ich könnte eine Suppe nur gegen nochmalige Bezahlung erhalten. Letztendlich dann aber doch noch eine Suppe erhalten - die jedoch nicht viel mit der Pho im Restaurant gemeinsam hatte und sehr lieblos wirkte.

Délicieux et fraîchement cuisiné

Wer leckere Speisen sucht, bei liebenswürdigem Service in einem geschackvollen vietnamesichen Restaurant, der und die ist hier richtig. Ich hatte die Frühlingsrollen (gleich zweimal, weil sie so gut waren) und die panierten Garnelen (ebenfalls zweimal, weil sie so gut waren). Danach konnte ich nichts Weiteres mehr probieren. Dann aber beim nächsten Berlinbesuch wieder...

Es hat sehr lange gedauert bis Bedienung kam, die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde bis das Essen kam.. Kein Kellnerin hat zwischen durch gefragt. Man müsste selber zum Counter und bezahlen gehen.

Das BESTE asiatische Restaurant das wir bisher in Berlin gefunden haben und wir haben wirklich schon viele ausprobiert. -das Gemüse und die Zutaten schmecken immer frisch - das Essen ist nie zu fettig - das Verhältnis ist immer so, dass genügend Gemüse darin ist und das Gemüse ist immer perfekt gegart, noch knackig und nicht total zerkocht - das Sushi ist super lecker und schmeckt immer ganz frisch -die Wasabicreme ist mit echtem Wasabi und nicht nur künstlich grün gefärbt - geschmacklich wirklich 100% top! Vielen Dank für das leckere Essen!

Die Kellnerin war sehr unhöflich nachdem wir hatten sie gebeten Tisch abzuwischen weil der schmutzig war. Nachdem sie uns das Essen gebracht hatte, sprach sie uns nicht mehr an und fragte auch nicht, ob wir noch andere Wünsche für Getränke oder einen Nachtisch hätten. Schrecklicher Gästeservice!

The best pho I’ve ever had, hands down!

Das Restaurant ist eigentlich nie wirklich voll. Viele Menschen scheinen hier etwas zum mitnehmen zu bestellen, was zu unendlich langen Wartezeiten führt, auch wenn nicht viele Gäste da sind. Service sehr freundlich aber verpeilt. Das Essen ist okay für dem Preis, relativ wenig Geschmack. Also wem asiatisches essen sonst immer zu spicy ist, ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Für uns wars nix. Zusätzlich ist das Beleuchtungskonzept leider etwas ungünstig. Entweder wird man geblendet oder man sieht sein essen nicht, weil man selbst seinen Schatten drauf wirft. Hier sollte man nur hingehen, wenn man nix anderes findet - - oder eben schnell mal was für zu Hause bestellen will...da sind sie scheinbar sehr schnell.

Ein echter Geheimtipp, das Essen war wirklich TOP, leckere Suppe, leckere Teigtaschen als Vorspeise, klasse Sushi danach gegessen. Super Auswahl! Freundliche und schnelle Bedienungen.Preis/Leistung ist auch sehr gut. Die Sitzmöbel waren nach längerem sitzen doch unbequem und am Fenster zu sitzen war etwas kühl Aber sobald wir in Berlin sind, kommen wir wieder.

Leckeres Essen, Freundliche Bedienung und nette Athmosphäre! Aber die Portionen sind mittlerweile mickrig! Schade, dass hier am Gast gespart wird um noch ein wenig mehr Profit zu machen. Ich gehe seit Jahren hierher und in der Pandemie waren die Take away - Portionen schon recht wenig. Nun war ich wieder mal da und hatte ein Hütchen Reis (ca. 7cm Durchmesser ca. 8cm hoch ), ca. 6-7 Stücke Fleisch in der Soße und ein Häufchen Salat auf dem Teller. Der Teller war damit gerade soweit gedeckt, dass man auf den ersten Blick nicht sofort dachte, dass es wenig sei aber als ich das Essen vor mir hatte und drei Mal die Gabel darin drehte war ich total enttäuscht, dass eines meiner Lieblingslokale so etwas macht. Nach dem kurzen Essen bin ich hungrig gegangen (und ich esse gewöhnlich keine Kalorienberge) und werde nicht mehr wieder kommen. Denn für solche "Snacks" ist das einfach viel zu teuer. Und das kann man auch nicht mit gestiegenen Preisen erklären.

5 Sterne sind eigentlich zu wenig. Selten so lecker und frisch zubereitet gegessen. Absolut TOP.

Haben uns Essen liefern lassen und ich muss sagen, lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. War noch richtig heiss und echt lecker. Gerne wieder.
