scammers, just got ripped off because I am a tourist or something.. horrendous, paid 5.80€ for a coffee with milk

I had the opportunity to meet the tastes of the cafe/bar named Goldberg, which I came across by chance during my business trip planned in Berlin. I cannot describe the taste of the schnitzel I ate because it met my palate with a delicious taste. Besides, the interest and concern of the company was admirable. Thank you very much for everything, the owner and his valuable staff :) A delicious stop you should definitely visit in Berlin. Thank you very much

Otherwise you have to go to Vienna for the excellent Kaiserschmarrn. The Wiener Schnitzel lives up to its name. Otherwise very good cuisine, attentive service, good atmosphere - in short my recommendation no. 1 in the area.

Great breakfast. Nice service and dogs are very welcome. We always enjoy going there.

We were on the way to Kauz und Kiebitz, but the weather was still nice, we wanted to sit outside for a bit and the Goldberg seemed inviting: with the daily newspaper displays and the bistro tables it had a nice French feel and there was Urquell on tap. We asked whether card payment was accepted, because in Berlin you never know, and the answer was "of course", although that's not so natural in Berlin. We sat down and got our two Urquell, it was quite cozy in this little corner, and we thought what a beautiful place, we could definitely stop here more often. We drank our beer in peace and the evening gradually became fresher, so we decided to pay and go over to the Kauz. The innkeeper, who had initially explained that of course they offered card payment, now asked me if I didn't have any cash, whereupon I looked at him questioningly, which in turn made him understand that he wouldn't be successful with that. He grumpily went behind the counter, got the card reader, looked at me and said: "Next time, yeah?" At first I was so perplexed by this impudence that I didn't know how to answer anything, whereupon he asked demandingly, "Next time, yes?" No, there won't be a next time.

just came by this evening and had a horrible experience at this place. I mean this is not okay!!! Does the staff know his job??? We are paying for the service right??? I was treated like an idiot there just because I wanted to pay by card!!????? I’m not gonna complain about the food but the service???

Horrible experience here. The waiter treated us differently from other customers, taking forever to acknowledge us and barely speaking to us while being friendly with others. It was clear we were not welcome, and it felt like racial discrimination. Management needs to address this issue immediately, or they’ll continue to lose customers. we wanted to pay by card but they only accept cash they said, but they didn't tell us before food , even though they have card machine and we didn't have cash and the waiter treated as like so bad. Terrible service!!!!!!!!!

It was actually a good, down-to-earth pub. Today I was there again after a long time and paid 17.80 euros for two red wines. Outrageous in a city that is drowning in mud, not just during strikes.

Completely Disapointment! There was a menu offering soup with a main dish sausages with potato cream. After ordering this menu they brought the main course only and said that the soup is finished without asking if we still want this menu option. The food was less than basic with low quility sausages and a very small portion i barely felt full(i am 72 kg). Only the sauce justifies a restaurant dish. The “menu” was 17 euros too overpricy for the area and the offered food. Service was slow while the restaurant was empty. The waiter/boss was unpolite and gives the feeling he wants to trick us. I WON’T go again even if i am starving and there is no place open in the hood.

The wine was 8 EUR per glass. The Schnitzel was good but overall I think it is a bit too pricey for that area. Not sure I will return.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: The Hirschgulasch was good but the Wacholderbeeren and the huge pieces of thyme needs to be removed. It should be a spice not part of the dish and is a really lazy and shameful move from the cook to have people crunching on Wacholderbeeren in every bite!

Wonderful pub, on a relaxed corner! Great for breakfast or a drink in summer, and we can highly recommend the schnitzel all year round! It may not be the cheapest in the country, but it is truly one of the best! Butter tender, beautiful breading, great cucumber salad! A pleasure all around!

Super cozy inside, unfortunately now completely overpriced and the quality of the food is rather poor - e.g. Had old, dry cake a few times (and then paid 10 euros for it along with a coffee, which I find quite steep...). And breakfast for 15.90, which included the "bread basket" made of 6 slices of old, dry baguette from the day before yesterday - when asked, the waiter reacted irritably - when he finally came back with 2 rolls, that was all taken care of. So unfortunately, despite the beautiful location, not a real recommendation.

Beautiful space & deco, friendly service, great, correctly priced food & best coffee in Kreuzkoelln. The atmosphere is really chilled, especially in the daytime, so a brilliant place to hang out & work too. Can't recommend highly enough.

We went here for breakfast (scrambled eggs, pancakes, crepes). The bar has a lot of charm, attentive and very friendly service, the food was very appealing and tasty. We would love to come back to Berlin for this restaurant.

Das Goldberg ist ein total unaufgeregter, schöner Ort wo wir immer wieder gerne essen gehen. Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung, Gerichte immer köstlich und das Bier schmeckt auch immer vorzüglich.

I love coming here and the service is always courteous. The food is delicious and even dogs are welcome. Great!!

The classic warm drinks, such as black coffee, latte macchiato and cappuccino, are super tasty and on point. There are both indoor and outdoor places to linger in the colorful Reuter Kiez. The service is great and the atmosphere is cozy. Fresh delicious breakfast. The olive oil is something very special, you can taste the difference (from the Turkish Aegean, including love for your homeland).

Einfach unfreundlich! Ehrlich gesagt anders als Rassismus kann ich es leider nicht erklären. Schade für die Lage und für den Chef... Sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Ich kann es auch nicht nachvollziehen. Naja nie wieder!!!

Nicht mal einen Stern wert bei dem unfähigen Service. Sowas arrogantes unfreundliches habe ich echt seit langem nicht erlebt. Das ist wirklich sehr schade! Ich würde sogar (leider) rassistisch sagen, denn anders ist es nicht zu erklären. Oder, was gut sein kann, ein unzufrieder, frustrierter type, der seine Unzufriedenheit auf anderen lässt...

Abgerundet! Das etwas versteckte Lokal bietet einen angenehmen Service mit einem überaus zuvorkommendem und professionellem Kellner sowie leckerem, schön angerichteten Essensvarianten. Die Räumlichkeiten sind weitläufig, bequem und einladend. Unser Treffen dort war ein großer Genuss.

We popped in here twice for drinks while staying at the Hampton Hilton, we had warm welcome, drinks served with little nachos and nuts. We didn’t have food but what was being served on other tables looked good.

I had breakfast there and I didn't enjoy the overall experience. First of all, it was very expensive in comparison to other cafés (9.50 for a cappuccino and Crêpes) and then the Crêpes were just German pancakes and not even nicely garnished. And one of the two blueberries that topped it of was beginning to rot. edit: Two years after I wrote this review, I received an email that the lawyers of this café contacted Google to have this review removed (on the basis of me never having been there). You can make up your own mind what this is saying about the integrity of the establishment.

I came across this place casually, and what a find. Great atmosphere, nice staff and yummy plates. A great place to have a quiet chat around dinner with friends.

The first time I visited Goldberg I asked, what good to order here, and the answer was: everything. I hadn't really thought it was possible, but many visits later, it was proven true. I love the place because of the excellent food but there is a great simple atmosphere there where it's really comfortable to spend time. And of course the best Schnitzel in town.

Komme mittlerweile seit Jahren regelmäßig hier hin. Vor allem im Sommer ist das hier das schönste Lokal zum Frühstücken. Hab schon so viele Leute hier hin geschleppt, die danach alle begeistert waren. Der Service kann am Anfang etwas rau wirken, aber ich kann nach all der Zeit sagen, dass das wirklich nur der erste Eindruck ist. Einfach nicht so sensibel sein! Es ist nicht der billigste Laden, das stimmt, aber ich finde es lohnt sich.

So delicious, something for everyone, comfortable and beautiful environment. They are accommodating, positive and yummy.

Ich habe es genossen. Mein Lieblings Gericht (Wienerschnitzel). Hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Service war gut und die Preise sind angemessen. Also ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Mijn vriend en ik bestelden allebei ander drinken. Ik een warsteiner hij een Königs weißen. Uiteindelijk kregen we allebei een weißen. Bij de Faijta geen bordje, kip was halfrauw en we kregen geen zout of peper. Muziek stond op standje 100 en meneer wilde dit niet zachter zetten.

Wir sind zufällig auf diesen Laden gestossen. Wir waren sehr von der Einrichtung und Qualität der Küche und des Services angetan. Für solch ein Etablissement muss man lange suchen in einem Kiez, der eher als Party Spot gilt. Vielen Dank an die netten Betreiber und tollen Kollegen für die schöne Zeit.

Unsere Getränke und die Kuchen waren ok, jedoch unverhältnismäßig teuer. Wir sollten dann 35 Euro zahlen, haben allerdings laut Speisekarte lediglich für 27 Euro verzehrt. Auf Nachfrage reagierte der Inhaber gereizt. Einen Beleg gab es auf Verlangen nicht, angeblich wurde dieser bereits mit der Bestellung herausgegeben, was aber definitiv nicht stimmte. Das machte uns stutzig und wir äußerten Zweifel an der Rechnung. Dann wurde der Inhaber plötzlich laut und schrie: uns gibt’s seit 17 Jahren, das sind unsere normalen Preise, müsst ihr Euch vorher überlegen oder wegbleiben. Da wir zwei kleine Kinder dabei hatten und der Tonfall weder angemessen noch zumutbar war, haben wir nichts mehr gesagt und bezahlt. Wir wollten nur noch den Laden verlassen. Der Inhaber schimpfte weiter und beleidigte uns auf türkisch. Das auf sehr abwertende Weise und diskriminierend. Eine Person aus unserer Gruppe ist der türkischen Sprache mächtig und hat alles verstanden. Dass so etwas bei uns im Kiez passiert, ist beschämend und inakzeptabel. So eine Lokalität sollte gemieden werden Ich kann nur hoffen, dass anderen Gästen so etwas erspart bleibt, große Hoffnung habe ich allerdings nicht.

War nur auf ein paar Bier da. Die Jungs hinter dem Tresen waren super nett. Man kann auch draußen sitzen.

7 euros for a piece of tiramisu … just absurd. Not even the friendliest staff.

Ich finde es sehr teuer für das, was es ist. Ich habe 4 Mal nach der Karte gefragt und nie kam irgendwas. Habe ewig auf alles gewartet und es war nicht mal voll. Habe am Ende nur einen Kaffee getrunken (4,60€ für einen mittelmäßigen iced coffee) und bin gegangen. Mein Wunsch nach Hafermilch wurde ignoriert und ich habe 20 Minuten vergeblich drauf gewartet und den Kaffee dann schwarz getrunken. Wie kann Service nur so krass schlecht sein?!?! Am Ende hatte ok nach über einer halben Stunde immer noch nicht meinen richtigen Kaffee und der Kellner hat mit den Augen gerollt, als ich das dritte Mal nach der Hafermilch gefragt habe.

Sehr nettes Café bzw. Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und guten Drinks. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen, nette Bedienung und guter Service. Komme immer gerne hierher.

Really cool place, well situated near the Kreuzberg flea market, calm and sunny location, attentive and friendly staff. Will return. Only downside is I couldn’t find a WiFi connection. So beware of that.

Sind hier schön draußen in der Sonne gesessen. Die Speisekarte liest sich gut, gute Auswahl. Zackige Kellner. Das Essen war in Ordnung.

Wir sind total enttäuscht von Besuch im Goldberg. Die Käsespätzle kamen ohne Salat in einer sehr kleinen Portion. Geschmacklich okay, aber nichts besonderes. Das Roastbeef Sandwich kam mit gekaufen weißen Toast, was das Sandwich geschmacklich und optisch sehr abgewertet hat. Der Service war leider auch schwierig. Kellner wirkte abwesend. Hat gefragt ob wir Brot wollen, aber nie welches gebracht. Das Team diskutierte im Laden laut über Unstimmigkeiten, wodurch wir zum Bezahlen der Rechnung selbst reingehen mussten.

For starters I disagree with the price range mark on Google. This place needs at least a three € marker not just two. Prices are insultingly high. Service, less said the better really. Left hungry and poorer... Owners who reply make me laugh! What we had to eat: half an omelet with a few slices of bread for nearly ten Euros! Saw on menu Schnitzel is 25€!!! Insane. That empirically high in price, and not my mere opinion!
