I haven't been served so kindly and courteously in a long time. Keep it up... a ray of hope when it comes to service in the catering sector!

Great atmosphere, attentive and pleasant staff. We had the Glut & Water Burger twice with 2 patties each, this is presented as the best dry aged beef patty. From a purely visual and taste point of view, unfortunately for me it was just a ready-made meatball like the ones you see packaged in the supermarket! The shape of all 4 patties were almost identical, firm, chewy and unfortunately the entire burger only tasted like artificial additives. Although the meat was very dry, the burger lost a lot of liquid (water?). Unfortunately, the small lettuce leaf got lost under the patties. For the now almost standard price of €20 for a burger and side dish, it is not justified with this patty. Too bad.

The food was very tasty and plentiful and the staff was friendly and attentive. What really bothered me, however, is that the menu can only be viewed digitally. Which is very annoying to search and compare back and forth. (Scroll, scroll, scroll and everything so small) Unfortunately, there were no longer any real cards that could still be issued to customers like me upon request. It's a shame if the menu selection is annoying for me.

Was a very pleasant evening. Service was quick, even if it was a bit crowded. The food (vegan burgers) was really great, praise to the chef! We'll be back. :)

I ate the vegan Shroomie Burger with the homemade potato fries (with no dip recommended). The fries were very tasty and the burger itself with the sauce and the really tasty mushrooms was simply amazing. Can only recommend “Glut and Water”! With a seat on the dam it was perfect. 😊

We wanted to have something to eat and drink comfortably at the harbor. In our opinion, Embers and Water has the best places on the water. We hadn't been there before. We ordered drinks including a mocktail. However, when the drinks came we were disappointed because the mocktail only had 2cl of flavor and the rest of the glass was just ice cubes. When asked, they said that all mocktails were like that, no matter where you ordered them. Sorry but that is definitely not correct. I can understand that you want to earn money for your goods and service, but a drink that costs over 10 euros and consists almost entirely of ice cubes is not possible. Unfortunately, we were not listened to when we said that we would like to get it without or only with a few ice cubes. In our opinion that was very negative. It's a shame, because the food was okay, even if it wasn't great. At least the table by the water deserves top marks. Addendum to the answer: It is wrong that we were offered the same mocktail without ice. We asked specifically about this and were told that it was only !!2cl!! would be big. This is exactly what the waitress told us. If this was misinformation, staff should be retrained. And the fact that the mocktail was taken out of our bill is also not true. Our order included the following: 2x Shroomie Burgers a 19.90 1x salmon bowl 19.90 1x white wine 4.70 1x Alster 0.5 exact price no longer known (extrapolated possibly approx. 6.00) 1x grape juice exact price no longer known (possibly 4.70) This results in a total bill of 75.10 euros. But a little over 81 euros were paid. Unfortunately, we only noticed the difference afterwards and didn't take the receipt with us. Therefore, here it is statement against statement. Still, it's a shame that people are trying to clear their faces by distorting the facts. I hope it was an exception, which is why I don't adjust the star rating downwards.

A very nice restaurant at the harbor in Oldenburg! The staff is very attentive and friendly. The ember & water burger was good but not the best burger I've eaten, the chicken shawarma fries were super tasty! I think it's great that it's possible to use the digital menu and order from it, but it would be nicer if there was free WIFI there too, because not all network operators had great reception there! But that would be complaining at a high level because it was a very nice visit to Glut & Wasser!

Good morning, I had dinner there with a friend on a beautiful summer evening. We chose an outdoor dining area. Definitely recommended when the weather is good because you can also sit at the Oldenburg harbor. From the very nice menu I decided on the pork fries for €17.50. At first I was worried whether the fries were cross but I wasn't disappointed. The pulled pork and the sauces that went with it were amazing.

Service was really great and very friendly. Food was good but too expensive. I think 25 euros for a slightly larger burger is too much. The ambience is of course great! Unfortunately, the benches without backrests are very, very uncomfortable.

We were here for the first time. Food was great. The service was nice and professional. Unfortunately, she rarely came. You then had to order with your cell phone. But this also worked. Unfortunately it is very expensive here. We ordered food for 4 people and that alone was 100€. The whole evening with drinks was €210. It's probably due to the location, but you don't come here for a short time, but rather more rarely and more consciously.

I had fries with baked cauliflower. It was a solid meal for moderate hunger. The homemade lemonade is simply incredibly delicious. The fries could have been a little crispier. The service staff was attentive, but the ambience is simply unbeatable. The view of the water. You immediately feel like you're on vacation. Gladly again and perhaps with a larger dish. Unfortunately the cheesecake didn't convince me.

Rarely have I had such great service. You can sit there beautifully under the trees by the water. The food is fantastic. So many vegan dishes and everything comes to the table super hot. Absolutely recommended 🙏

20€ burger was tasty as expected. Unfortunately, a simple bottled dip for the fries costs ~€2 extra and drinks start at ~€4. If the price isn't a deterrent, it's pretty solid. The city's harbor location is pretty. The simple beer benches could easily be given a new edition.

Stay on the harbor promenade in Oldenburg and enjoy the great cuisine of Glut&Wasser, the perfect place for the weekend or after work. You can spend hours here and have a great time with your companion.

Until six months ago or so, I would have given it 5 stars straight away. The food tasted really good, it was of great quality and always exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, yesterday these expectations were not met at all. Unfortunately, the patty had nothing to do with the usual minced meat; both the consistency and taste were too firm and didn't seem as high-quality as usual. The risotto had also become a bit cold. The service was super nice and didn't seem particularly surprised by the criticism of the Bruger meat. So I hope that by next time the meat will be back to the quality that I actually knew and, to be honest, expect for over €20. Edit: I'm happy that someone got in touch with me straight away and that's why I took out my very bold choice of words. I'm looking forward to eating a delicious burger again on my next visit.

Cozy restaurant with a dining room and an outdoor area with a view of the Hunte. The menu is varied and tastes very good. The portions are big enough to fill you up. Price adapted to the region. Definitely worth a visit.

Bestechend ist die Lage, grade bei schönen Wetter verteilen sich die Tische bis direkt an das Hafenbecken, das ist eine wirklich schöne Adresse. Das die Karte ist Ok, und passt zur Trendy Location… Tagesaktuell konnten wir auch Risotto mit Lachs und Pfifferlingen wählen , was geschmacklich lecker war, die Menge der Pfifferlinge waren aber doch sehr überschaubar . Wirklich sparsam empfanden wir das Verhältnis von wenig Aperol zu viel Eis/Wasser in unserem Aperol Spritz. Der Service passt nicht wirklich zum Preisgefüge.. am liebsten sollten wir über den Code auf dem Tisch bestellen, aber dann bitte nur mit einem Handy da es Mehrarbeit bedeutet, alles auseinander zu rechnen, Wir konnten dann aber doch persönlich ordern . Wurden dann bei Bezahlung mit der EC Karte von der Bedienung belehrt , dass ja jede Buchung mit der Karte dem Restaurant viel Geld kostet ?!

I thought the food was very tasty but unfortunately way too expensive. Unfortunately the prices of the cocktails were far too high for the small quantity. We also looked for a restaurant with a view of the river. Unfortunately, our view was blocked by a large advertising poster. Also, I'm not a fan of online maps. I prefer paper.

You can order and pay for food directly at the table using a barcode. But it also goes through the service staff. The service was very friendly. The food was very, very tasty, but the portion of the wild mushroom bowl wasn't particularly large, so unfortunately I didn't really get full. No direct parking spaces or have to be paid for on the side street. There is plenty of seating outside and there is a playground opposite.

Went to Glut&Wasser at the weekend and managed to get a spot outside when the weather was nice. Very nice service, the food was plentiful and very tasty. Sweet potato fries on point and we didn't have to wait long. Praise to the kitchen. Unfortunately, what I absolutely cannot understand is that there are no longer any cards made of paper/cardboard. We had an older lady with us and she doesn't have a smartphone or online pay and I'm young but don't want to have to use my cell phone all day. It's ok to save paper, but there should always be cards on site for people with poorer health Sight or without a smartphone and paying in cash shouldn't be a problem. The benches outside are so uncomfortable that you have back pain after just 5 minutes. That's no fun and in the future the choice would be other restaurants where you can sit comfortably at the table for a longer period of time with a card. We would come back again and again for the service and the food, but not for the ambience.

Great service! Today we were at the playground with friends and the kids and ordered drinks and fries from Glut & Wasser and it was no problem that we wanted to take the drinks (draft beer and Wildberry Lillet for the women) to the playground. These were even traditionally given out in normal glasses and not in plastic cups or similar. Our food (fries with mayo and ketchup for the kids) was even brought to the playground. Once again, great praise for this service

Everyone enjoyed it very much, but unfortunately our special requests couldn't be accommodated, such as: Dressing without Knofi & the chicken breast was unfortunately forgotten. But the shop really has charm and a great & healthy menu. You should check the menu in advance to see if there is something for you. The waiter was also very accommodating and the above-mentioned little things were absolutely bearable and humane. We'd love to come back.

The online menu concept meant you could place your order quickly and effectively. Unfortunately, the fact that the tables inside are very close together makes it feel uncomfortable. The service was good. This evening we ordered the Oldenburger fried fish and a cheesy bacon burger. The burger itself is solid, but not particularly tasty. The fries were fresh and tasted good. Unfortunately, the Oldenburg fried fish was not particularly tasty for the price and the quantity was small. The cucumbers in the cucumber salad were very thick and had quite a bit of vinegar in them. The women's restrooms are clean and the additional hygiene products such as hairspray, dental floss, etc. are a good idea. However, it would be nice to check whether they could be refilled. Conclusion: In my opinion, the food is not equal to the ambience. I personally wouldn't eat there again.

Nice restaurant right on the water with a great ambience for a burger restaurant. The service is very friendly. Unfortunately the burgers are completely fried, which is relatively incomprehensible to me. In my opinion, especially with grass-fed beef, the meat should still be delicately pink, which is a shame!

The service was friendly and attentive. The menu initially makes a diverse and creative impression. But what came on the plate was quite high in price for the mediocre quality. Two small pieces of fried fish with a few fries for €20. The taste was quite bland and too greasy because the fish was not drained properly after baking. Cucumber salad as a side dish was ok. The Pils is also fairly priced at €6.10 (0.5L).

Four of us were here for dinner yesterday. There were actually five of us. There was also a dog there. Dogs are welcome. We all had burgers. These were very tasty. You could just hold it in your hand. I always think it's very important that you can still hold it. It was borderline, so it was a certain size, but it was very, very tasty. Modern shop with good food, the whiskey cheeseburger is a real hit. The staff was friendly. All in all it was good. The price is okay, but not cheap either, rather average. Dogs are allowed in.

The first time I gave it more stars, but after the last time that's no longer possible. I had a bowl with lots of vegetables and pickled glass noodles. The meal looked appealing but unfortunately the broccoli was so salty that I simply couldn't eat it 🙈 as it got late and there were fewer and fewer guests there, other visitors came. At least three mice kept running through the store. Many visitors noticed this and were asked to simply ignore it. The reason given was the port. But the store hasn't just existed since yesterday, the problem should have been fixed long ago! An absolute no go in the catering industry!

Since embers and water have a good name in our area, we wanted to see for ourselves with our family on Sunday and reserved a table. My father and I ate the pork fries and both struggled with severe gastrointestinal problems that night. I think an infection is unlikely because we don't live in the same household and haven't seen each other for a long time. It would be a strange coincidence, especially since I never have problems like that. Everyone else who didn't eat pork had no problems. The service was mediocre. For example, when a complaint was made about a dirty glass, a new glass was given, but unfortunately the drink that my mother had already partially poured was not replaced. In terms of price, you probably also pay for the beautiful location at the harbor.

We were there with 7 people during the week. It was very well attended and the atmosphere is quite nice. The food tasted good, nothing super special and the portions were okay but not excessive. The selection of dishes is quite clear, which I personally find to be rather positive. However, the prices are rather high for the portion size and quality. The service was very good at first, but it deteriorated a little over time. Every now and then we sat “on dry land” and there was no one to be seen far and wide. Otherwise we had a cozy evening, the ambience is quite good, the tables are rather close together due to the space. The overall volume was still okay and we were able to have a normal conversation. Of course, that also depends on the remaining guests.

For modern business people. Not for “vintage cars”. Choice too limited. Prices too exclusive. You have to like that.

Unfortunately, the burgers don't taste good at all, the meat is hardly seasoned at all and just tastes too much like nothing! For these prices you would expect at least mediocre, but when it comes to the burgers I unfortunately can't even give it a single star. The service is very friendly, but a bit too slow for my taste, considering that there were only three tables occupied in the restaurant. There are full stars for the location, which is really beautiful, both inside and outside. But unfortunately that alone is not enough for a second visit.

Unfortunately, despite making a reservation early, we were assigned the table right at the entrance. Since it was very cold and windy outside, it blew like hell as soon as the door was opened. The chairs are not intended to be sat on for long periods of time as they are very hard. Everyone can find something on the menu, but in my opinion the price and performance don't match. To get to the toilet you go down a staircase in the basement. The women's toilet is clean and deodorant, disposable razors, etc. are provided free of charge in a basket. OK - who needs it...?! Finally we had a latte macchiato which was really good. The service was on point, but it's not my store. I'm not coming back.

A really good address in Oldenburg! The selection is not too big and offers enough dishes for everyone. I can particularly recommend the burgers and the potato snow is just as outstanding. We'd love to come back!

Ich war heute mit Freunden dort Burger und Pommes essen. Die Speisen waren super lecker (Ich hatte den Shawarma Burger, der wirklich authentisch gewürzt war!), auf individuelle Wünsche (z.B. zur veganen Umsetzung) wurde ohne Probleme eingegangen und die Bedienung war super freundlich. Ich war das zweite mal hier und zum zweiten Mal sehr zufrieden!

Das Essen war ok. Der Service war super schnell und das Ambiente klasse. Die Getränke haben geschmeckt. Rundum habe ich mir bei diesen Preisen (Großstadt Preise wie Mailand, Paris, Prag,...) für Essen viel viel mehr erwartet.

Essen sehr lecker. Auch Extras möglich. Sevice sehr gut. Komme gerne mal wieder.

Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und effizient. Mein Hauptkritikpunkt bezieht sich auf das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, das meiner Meinung nach nicht angemessen ist. Beispielsweise empfand ich 18€ für ein verpacktes, minderwertiges Fleisch, das geschmacklich nicht überzeugen konnte, als übertrieben. Wir bestellten zwei Burger (Whiskey Cheese Burger für 18,90€ und Avoado Burger für 18,90€) sowie ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat, insgesamt für 26,90€. Leider konnte das Fleisch in keiner der Speisen überzeugen. Auffällig war jedoch, dass der Kartoffelsalat, die Pommes und die Getränke von guter Qualität waren. Trotz der ansprechenden Atmosphäre des Lokals kann ich es leider nicht uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Ich würde Ihnen stattdessen gerne andere Lokale vorschlagen, die qualitativ hochwertige Speisen anbieten. Schade, denn das Ambiente des Restaurants ist wirklich ansprechend."

Die Burgerpatties waren zu fest, nach Rücksprache sollen sie aber so sein. Somit ist es nichts für mich. Der Grünkohl war zu sämig, fast wie Rahmspinat. Die Pommes und die verschiedenen Majonaisen zu den Bürgern waren gut. Auch das Kassler zum Grünkohl war gut. Ambiente sehr schön und am Wasser gelegen. Das Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb war sehr lecker.

Die Burger 🍔 sind mega lecker. Die Bedienung war echt super. Komme gerne wieder.
