Burger was ok. However, very expensive for a frozen patty.

Went there based on a recommendation. Pleasant room layout and interior design. Friendly staff who have their customers in mind. No unpleasant waiting times. Food great. I was traveling with 4 people - who also shared this assessment.

We came based on recommendations and unfortunately we were not convinced. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio does not match the quality of the food and service. If I charge €6 for a cola [0.4l], then it should be served with a little friendliness. We had 5 different dishes. While the starter was quite good, the main courses were unfortunately not convincing. It's a shame, we expected more.

Glut & Wasser offers excellent food and friendly service. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The burgers in particular were really tasty. Price performance fits. You can park at the cinema and get there quickly. Unfortunately, the digital menu is a bit confusing due to the shop system and the need to have a cell phone at the table lowers the inhibition threshold to use it for other purposes. Maybe I also like simply leafing through a map. Optionally you can also order directly online, but this is not mandatory.

nice atmosphere in a modern look. The process in the restaurant is a bit annoying due to digitalization. Should everyone put together their menu for business lunches on their cell phone? and pay straight away...? If it sounds spooky, it is. But the good old process of ordering at the table and then paying is still possible. A pleasant visit and good food....

Although I'm all for sustainability, I don't always have my smartphone with me and found ordering on a tablet strange. It disturbs the atmosphere. Then it's better to use the card in the stand on the table instead of the QR code. But the food was very good and made up for us.

For a side sauce an additional €2.20, ketchup/mayonnaise €1.20 and for a special 0.4l €6.20...... I think it's too expensive....

Changing tables was no problem. The service was very attentive. There wasn't a long wait for drinks or food.

Because of the many positive reviews, we ate at Glut & Wasser. Unfortunately we were rather disappointed with the food, especially the burgers. Unfortunately, the patties tasted like frozen goods and, strangely, were extremely firm. All in all it was okay, the waiter was nice and the ambience was good, but unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired.

The two of us ate here. The dishes (burgers) were very expensive. Here you have to budget over 19 euros per dish/person. Unfortunately, the firm consistency of the patties in particular was rather unconvincing. A large Coke 0.4 cost 6 euros. We paid 4 euros for a piece of cheesecake. The cake tasted watery and flaky. When we asked, it turned out that we were given frozen cakes for the money. We thought that was pretty cheeky. We don't have to go out to eat for that. For the price we want fresh food and will therefore not come back.

The ambience of the restaurant is really nice and cozy, you can feel at home here. When it comes to food, however, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right for me. The dishes taste good, but sometimes seem like convenience and not very homemade. The fries were rather sticky, and the burger patty was reminiscent of an industrially produced product - densely pressed and without the juiciness you would expect from a fresh patty. Given the prices, I would have hoped for significantly more quality and craftsmanship here.

The food tastes very good and I also liked the selection. Unfortunately, the loaded fries are sticky, which is why they lose one star. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with my visit and would definitely come again. The service was also very attentive. What I liked most was the good selection of vegetarian food. Also that the potato snow is offered as vegan.

Wow, what a location. Great ambience in the Oldenburg harbor and therefore very central. Here you can find burgers, bowls, a few classics, pulled pork, desserts and cakes. Plus a hip drinks menu with local gins. We had the whiskey burger with sweet potato fries, a variation of fries with fried vegetables, fries with pulled pork and potato snow with pulled pork. The burger was ok, but also more of a result of a tight system catering. Rather a bit dispassionate. All other dishes were very disappointing. Little spice and pep in 3 meals is no coincidence. The fries variants are served in a casserole dish with the main character of each variant on top. What initially looks pleasant ends in disaster. Logically there were only soggy fries in a soup of sauces and juices. This style of plating would have changed my choice of dish if I had known, because that's just how it had to end. I have never eaten pulled pork without smoke flavor. Isn't this prepared in a smoker? The drinks menu tries to offer something special, but the prices are also increased. That's ok if the quality is right. It's not true for the raspberry spirit, which is annoying at 5.90 euros. The appointment was made in advance and then emailed several times to inform us of the date. In the restaurant we were brought to the table and told that we had to vacate it in 2 hours. Why wasn't this information included in one of the emails that referred to the reservation? That would be fair because you could cancel if you didn't like it. Unfortunately, we had service staff who seemed relatively clumsy when we asked questions and didn't try to compensate for this with personal effort to leave a hospitable impression. The menu has to be studied on your own smartphone and that's exactly what I don't want to have on the table on a nice evening with friends. There is no analog card, which also represents an unnecessary barrier for older visitors. Unfortunately, this restaurant disappointed me, but that's probably due to my expectations. There is system catering here in a great ambience close to the city center. The food is average. If you're looking for something different, keep looking.

Hercules burger and sweet potato fries were veeery delicious. The burger even though it had 2 large patties, was comfortable to eat and didn't make you feel 'heavy' afterwards. Definitely recommend for big eaters!

We had reserved for 3 people. The restaurant wasn't occupied at that time, we were the only ones sitting inside. After we were assigned a seat, before we sat down, it was immediately mentioned in an unfriendly manner that “you can only occupy this seat for 2 hours”. The service was very unfriendly, the food was very poor for a hefty price. I would have expected more. After we wanted to pay and had stated this, we went to the payment machine and only came back after 20 minutes. Other customers were served during that time. Unfortunately we don't come to this restaurant a second time.

Very nice and stylish restaurant. Orders are placed using a QR code that is placed on the tables. If you want, you can also pay directly via Paypal. My girlfriend and I found it very pleasant. The only drawback was that you couldn't pay the tip later via Paypal. When ordering and paying, we didn't know whether the food tasted good or whether the service was good. But the food was excellent and the service was very nice. So at the end we gave an analogous tip. We will definitely come back again!

Just a few months ago I was extremely enthusiastic about this restaurant and we were guests there very regularly. The food was always homemade and really very good. The last visit really disappointed me. Portions are getting smaller these days and if you want to be full, one main course isn't enough. The weekly changing special menu has been completely canceled and the already poor menu has been around for a long time and I've already eaten it up and down. This is the last time I've been there for now. It just got boring

It was a really successful visit to Embers and Water! The guacamole fries were to die for, the recommended aperitif was very good and the service was attentive! This makes eating out really fun 🤩❤️😀

For Generation 50+ it is a shame that the menu is only accessible via QR code. Our son (20) is happy with it. We had three burgers with fries and sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the latter were soft and fried more soggy than crispy. The burgers (shawama, cheesy bacon and gluten & water) were excellent - the same goes for the fries. The drinks were okay. We reserved the table online. Unfortunately, we sat in the middle of the room, even though tables by the window remained free throughout our stay. The sparse room divider didn't prevent us from having to listen to the conversations at the next table. The payment process took some getting used to at the end and was quite demanding when it came to tipping - due to the default setting of 10-20% of the bill total. Therefore, overall it is only enough for a good three stars.

Tonight at 22:15 me and my boyfriend entered the restaurant because we wanted to dine there. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 00:00 as indicated on Google Maps (based on the hours they registered). However, we were informed by the personnel of the restaurant that this evening they decided to close SPONTANEOUSLY at 22:00 o'clock 🤣🤣. Outside was raining very heavily and they didn't even offer us the option to have a drink until the rain stops. It is quite well known that Germany has bad customer service in total but I think Glut & Wasser takes bad and unfriendly service to a whole new level 👌🏼. Never visiting again and I would suggest everyone to call before deciding to drive there. RE: Then change your hours on google to "we are closing whenever it's convenient for us". Your answer to my review just confirms what I said. Someone should definitely call before visiting your restaurant. Your working hours aren't fixed and therefore clients cannot depend on you for their dinner. Google isn't misleading, but the information that you have registered is.

Terrible burger patties, far too thick and above all gray meat which is really inedible, sad for the price.

It took over an hour from when we placed the order to when we ate, but unfortunately the chicken in the burger was completely over-seasoned. To make up for the waiting time, a coffee, cake or dessert was offered, with the note that the dessert also came from the kitchen and could take longer. And that's how it was, we waited half an hour for that too. And the shop wasn't necessarily full at that late hour... It's a shame, unfortunately not recommended.

It has always been a fixed address and favorite place to go in Oldenburg for me. Unfortunately, the kitchen has deteriorated significantly in the last few months and no longer makes me so happy in terms of price/performance. I hope that things change for the better.

After the first, not entirely optimal, times, we are positively surprised. They had taken our criticism into account and dealt with it fabulously. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails offered. Very nicely decorated interior.

The portions are very generous and worth every cent. The seating by the water is rather uncomfortable in the long run, the menu is only available with a QR code, overall a modern restaurant for a young audience.

Great atmosphere, attentive and pleasant staff. We had the Glut & Water Burger twice with 2 patties each, this is presented as the best dry aged beef patty. From a purely visual and taste point of view, unfortunately for me it was just a ready-made meatball like the ones you see packaged in the supermarket! The shape of all 4 patties were almost identical, firm, chewy and unfortunately the entire burger only tasted like artificial additives. Although the meat was very dry, the burger lost a lot of liquid (water?). Unfortunately, the small lettuce leaf got lost under the patties. For the now almost standard price of €20 for a burger and side dish, it is not justified with this patty. Too bad.

The food was very tasty and plentiful and the staff was friendly and attentive. What really bothered me, however, is that the menu can only be viewed digitally. Which is very annoying to search and compare back and forth. (Scroll, scroll, scroll and everything so small) Unfortunately, there were no longer any real cards that could still be issued to customers like me upon request. It's a shame if the menu selection is annoying for me.

I ate the vegan Shroomie Burger with the homemade potato fries (with no dip recommended). The fries were very tasty and the burger itself with the sauce and the really tasty mushrooms was simply amazing. Can only recommend “Glut and Water”! With a seat on the dam it was perfect. 😊

We wanted to have something to eat and drink comfortably at the harbor. In our opinion, Embers and Water has the best places on the water. We hadn't been there before. We ordered drinks including a mocktail. However, when the drinks came we were disappointed because the mocktail only had 2cl of flavor and the rest of the glass was just ice cubes. When asked, they said that all mocktails were like that, no matter where you ordered them. Sorry but that is definitely not correct. I can understand that you want to earn money for your goods and service, but a drink that costs over 10 euros and consists almost entirely of ice cubes is not possible. Unfortunately, we were not listened to when we said that we would like to get it without or only with a few ice cubes. In our opinion that was very negative. It's a shame, because the food was okay, even if it wasn't great. At least the table by the water deserves top marks. Addendum to the answer: It is wrong that we were offered the same mocktail without ice. We asked specifically about this and were told that it was only !!2cl!! would be big. This is exactly what the waitress told us. If this was misinformation, staff should be retrained. And the fact that the mocktail was taken out of our bill is also not true. Our order included the following: 2x Shroomie Burgers a 19.90 1x salmon bowl 19.90 1x white wine 4.70 1x Alster 0.5 exact price no longer known (extrapolated possibly approx. 6.00) 1x grape juice exact price no longer known (possibly 4.70) This results in a total bill of 75.10 euros. But a little over 81 euros were paid. Unfortunately, we only noticed the difference afterwards and didn't take the receipt with us. Therefore, here it is statement against statement. Still, it's a shame that people are trying to clear their faces by distorting the facts. I hope it was an exception, which is why I don't adjust the star rating downwards.

A very nice restaurant at the harbor in Oldenburg! The staff is very attentive and friendly. The ember & water burger was good but not the best burger I've eaten, the chicken shawarma fries were super tasty! I think it's great that it's possible to use the digital menu and order from it, but it would be nicer if there was free WIFI there too, because not all network operators had great reception there! But that would be complaining at a high level because it was a very nice visit to Glut & Wasser!

Good morning, I had dinner there with a friend on a beautiful summer evening. We chose an outdoor dining area. Definitely recommended when the weather is good because you can also sit at the Oldenburg harbor. From the very nice menu I decided on the pork fries for €17.50. At first I was worried whether the fries were cross but I wasn't disappointed. The pulled pork and the sauces that went with it were amazing.

Service was really great and very friendly. Food was good but too expensive. I think 25 euros for a slightly larger burger is too much. The ambience is of course great! Unfortunately, the benches without backrests are very, very uncomfortable.

Der Service ist bemüht, entspricht aber nicht den Anforderungen. Hatten Getränke und Hauptspeise beim Service bestellt (nicht über die App im Smartphone), trotzdem wurden wir nach 30 Minuten gefragt, ob wir schon gewählt hätten - spannend. Nach dem wir noch mal die Bestellung bestätigten, dauerte es wiederum relativ lang - dafür dass die Bestellung vergessen wurde - bis das Essen kam. Wir waren kurz davor zu gehen und die Bestellung gänzlich zu stornieren. Immerhin gab es als Entschuldigung einen Espresso aufs Haus. Insgesamt war das Essen o.k., aber eher „Fastfood“ (Burger und Bowls) - keine spannende Küche mit mittelmäßigem Service.

20€ burger was tasty as expected. Unfortunately, a simple bottled dip for the fries costs ~€2 extra and drinks start at ~€4. If the price isn't a deterrent, it's pretty solid. The city's harbor location is pretty. The simple beer benches could easily be given a new edition.

Rarely have I had such great service. You can sit there beautifully under the trees by the water. The food is fantastic. So many vegan dishes and everything comes to the table super hot. Absolutely recommended 🙏

Stay on the harbor promenade in Oldenburg and enjoy the great cuisine of Glut&Wasser, the perfect place for the weekend or after work. You can spend hours here and have a great time with your companion.

Until six months ago or so, I would have given it 5 stars straight away. The food tasted really good, it was of great quality and always exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, yesterday these expectations were not met at all. Unfortunately, the patty had nothing to do with the usual minced meat; both the consistency and taste were too firm and didn't seem as high-quality as usual. The risotto had also become a bit cold. The service was super nice and didn't seem particularly surprised by the criticism of the Bruger meat. So I hope that by next time the meat will be back to the quality that I actually knew and, to be honest, expect for over €20. Edit: I'm happy that someone got in touch with me straight away and that's why I took out my very bold choice of words. I'm looking forward to eating a delicious burger again on my next visit.

Bestechend ist die Lage, grade bei schönen Wetter verteilen sich die Tische bis direkt an das Hafenbecken, das ist eine wirklich schöne Adresse. Das die Karte ist Ok, und passt zur Trendy Location… Tagesaktuell konnten wir auch Risotto mit Lachs und Pfifferlingen wählen , was geschmacklich lecker war, die Menge der Pfifferlinge waren aber doch sehr überschaubar . Wirklich sparsam empfanden wir das Verhältnis von wenig Aperol zu viel Eis/Wasser in unserem Aperol Spritz. Der Service passt nicht wirklich zum Preisgefüge.. am liebsten sollten wir über den Code auf dem Tisch bestellen, aber dann bitte nur mit einem Handy da es Mehrarbeit bedeutet, alles auseinander zu rechnen, Wir konnten dann aber doch persönlich ordern . Wurden dann bei Bezahlung mit der EC Karte von der Bedienung belehrt , dass ja jede Buchung mit der Karte dem Restaurant viel Geld kostet ?!

You can order and pay for food directly at the table using a barcode. But it also goes through the service staff. The service was very friendly. The food was very, very tasty, but the portion of the wild mushroom bowl wasn't particularly large, so unfortunately I didn't really get full. No direct parking spaces or have to be paid for on the side street. There is plenty of seating outside and there is a playground opposite.

Went to Glut&Wasser at the weekend and managed to get a spot outside when the weather was nice. Very nice service, the food was plentiful and very tasty. Sweet potato fries on point and we didn't have to wait long. Praise to the kitchen. Unfortunately, what I absolutely cannot understand is that there are no longer any cards made of paper/cardboard. We had an older lady with us and she doesn't have a smartphone or online pay and I'm young but don't want to have to use my cell phone all day. It's ok to save paper, but there should always be cards on site for people with poorer health Sight or without a smartphone and paying in cash shouldn't be a problem. The benches outside are so uncomfortable that you have back pain after just 5 minutes. That's no fun and in the future the choice would be other restaurants where you can sit comfortably at the table for a longer period of time with a card. We would come back again and again for the service and the food, but not for the ambience.

Great service! Today we were at the playground with friends and the kids and ordered drinks and fries from Glut & Wasser and it was no problem that we wanted to take the drinks (draft beer and Wildberry Lillet for the women) to the playground. These were even traditionally given out in normal glasses and not in plastic cups or similar. Our food (fries with mayo and ketchup for the kids) was even brought to the playground. Once again, great praise for this service
