We enjoyed the evening with our friends. There was delicious food and drinks. And six comedians performed and entertained us well.

We visited for the first time yesterday. I'm absolutely thrilled! Friendly, lovely, and attentive staff. Great location. I love half-timbered houses. Nice, witty sayings. Beautiful decorations. At 8:20 pm, there was a lovely complimentary shot (schnapps) from the kitchen with a thank-you speech. I thought it was so sweet and I'll definitely come back. I had the roulades, and it was a very large and incredibly delicious portion.

Disappointed! We've always enjoyed being guests, but our last visit was very disappointing. Since they offered roast goose and kale dishes, perhaps that's why our meal was only served warm. We were asked if everything was alright, and we told the server that the food was only warm. She said she would take care of it, "Don't eat any more, I'll sort it out." After 10 minutes, we continued eating since nothing had changed and the server hadn't said anything further. After we said we wanted to pay, she apologized and offered us a digestif. It's a shame, but at these prices, the value for money simply has to be right.

The food was outstanding; we had duck with red cabbage and dumplings today, a wonderful wine, and the "deluxe" dessert to finish. The service was in a class of its own: very professional and warm – it couldn't have been better! Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable and delightful evening!

Absolutely! Good service with very good food, great service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Even though a large group of over 100 people was being served at the same time, we – and the other tables – enjoyed very good, delicious, and prompt service with genuinely friendly staff. And they were also very patient when things didn't go quite right. Simply excellent and highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Top!!!

Several of us went to a whisky tasting. There was a separate lounge. Good service. Delicious burgers with the best coleslaw ever and plenty of fried potatoes. A pleasant and informative tasting with Andreas...

We parked in the RV parking space in front of the ballroom with an electrical hookup. The site costs €10 per night plus €3 for electricity. Waste disposal and water were also provided. Great value. If you ate in the restaurant, they deducted the €10 site fee. I highly recommend it. It's close to Oldenburg by bike.

Delicious restaurant with great dishes. The ambiance is modern and the food is delicious. The dishes are a bit more expensive than usual, but they're good. The price-performance ratio is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Reservations are not required but recommended. You can pay by card here.

We sat outside and ate there in beautiful weather. I wanted a schnitzel. But since I can't stand pork, I asked for chicken. That was no problem. The server asked me if I wanted a small or a larger portion. I took the small one and paid for the large one. Which made a difference of about 5 euros. Unfortunately, we didn't notice this until we got home, and by then it was too late to complain. It shouldn't really be happening, especially since the Krug already has such hefty prices. I wonder if this isn't also a scam. I've heard from several friends that it has happened to them too.

I went to the cabbage party at the Bümmersteder Krug last year, and now to the asparagus party, and I can say with certainty that anyone who has occasional allergy issues will be in good hands at the Bümmersteder Krug. Both times, my two food allergies were well catered to, and I had plenty of variety in the food. The service was excellent.

After my second visit, my first impression has been confirmed. Great restaurant, friendly service, and very good food. Highly recommended.

Delicious, friendly, all-around top-notch! We were at the Bümmersteder Krug with the team – and everything was just perfect. Super delicious food, really friendly and dedicated service, and all in a clean, cozy atmosphere. Bümmersteder Pfanne is my recommendation. Value for money? It's perfect for us. We'd love to come back!

We were there for the asparagus buffet on Mother's Day. The food was plentiful and delicious. There were various desserts. We'd be happy to go again.

Food was great, service was okay... I was there with my wife and daughter for my wedding anniversary, and we ate à la carte. Thanks to a table reservation, it took less than two minutes to get seated. The food was quick, and dessert was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, my dessert request was simply forgotten, and I had to order again. Perhaps that's forgivable. But after dessert, nothing came from the restaurant. They didn't ask if we wanted anything else or if we were satisfied. We waited almost 30 minutes after dessert, but nothing happened. The fact that the restaurant was busy is no excuse, though, because the Bümmersteder Krug has a very good reputation and has had it for a long time. After my hand signal was ignored four or five times, they finally handed me the bill. It was then collected quickly and without any questions about my satisfaction. Sorry, dear Bümmersteder Krug team. We can do better. For €115, I would have expected not only delicious food, but also a bit more attention. You should sensitize and brief your team again.

After we had already eaten at Bümmersteder Krug on the occasion of our civil wedding, we were finally convinced that the buffet for our upcoming wedding celebration would also be great. But I would like to go a little further. Already in our first conversation with Ms. Winkelmann it was clear that you could easily imagine your wedding at the Bümmersteder Krug. Not only were the prices cheaper than other locations we looked at, but the conversation didn't feel like a sales pitch. Communication was always great and helpful throughout the entire period. We always had a feeling of security, which is urgently needed in such a stressful phase as preparing a wedding. And in short, everything was perfect on the wedding day. The garden: Our free wedding ceremony took place in the garden of the Bümmersteder Krug. The atmosphere was simply wonderful and everything was ideally prepared. The hall: Since our party was a little smaller, we didn't need the entire hall, but the size was just ideal and the dance floor was great. The rustic impression was what we liked so much on our first visit. The food: We thought the food was great the first time we had a menu, but the buffet was in no way inferior. There was always enough food for all guests. We also received consistent feedback from our guests: The food was great. Even the vegetables were praised. The staff: In a few words: great, attentive and fast. I have rarely experienced such competent staff in a restaurant as here. Other: The flower decoration was also taken care of on our behalf and our other service providers were also very satisfied with the cooperation. All in all, I only have positive words for the Bümmersteder Krug, which was an important part of our perfect wedding.

Very nice atmosphere, good menu and nice staff. The pork fillet was very, very dry, as was the schnitzel, so please be sure to order the sauce with it. The fish fillet pan was excellent, as were the beef roulades.

There was always a draft in our room when the orders came in because the door was open. In addition, smells from the large anteroom to which the toilets are connected reached our noses:( But all in all, this restaurant is special and highly recommended. Maybe over the years it has accommodated too many guests... Sometimes less is more!

The two service staff Tatjana and Celine were simply great! They created a great atmosphere and a few loud laughs at our table. I haven't been served so cheerfully, respectfully and friendly in a long time. This guarantees another visit! The quality of the food is also not to be despised, a real culinary delight. 2024 **: just under €30 for a breaded schnitzel with a side salad, or just under €30 for a Bornhorst schnitzel with cream sauce and a side salad are huge prices for a social establishment. It's just no longer appropriate for me. 2017 *****: A must for Oldenburgers: Here you can get the real Oldenburg kale, but the other dishes also taste very, very good, at least what we have eaten there so far. There is also a special beer available, which also tastes great.

The crime dinner is more for people over 40. Humor is very shallow. 90€ for a 4 course menu. Drinks have to be paid for.

Nice staff, even in hectic times. I have already hosted two large celebrations and a club meeting there and find the flexibility commendable. The menu is selected, but it has its price. At peak times, on-site parking is limited.

Have been there for dinner several times now and no problem even with a dog. Super nice staff and delicious food! The prices of the main courses are a little higher, but we've still been able to take something away because the portions were so large. The renovation in the guest room was really worth it. Yesterday we spent the get-together after a funeral service in the Bümmersteder Krug. The food was very tasty and fresh, but even though we were informed in advance that the staff was thin, we felt very neglected. A young and nice gentleman had to look after 30 people mainly alone. Accordingly, there were long waiting times and some mix-ups. After the soup, the cake was served and then the sandwiches were brought. When we wanted to pay the bill, we also had to wait a long time until someone paid attention to us. Unfortunately, the service couldn't keep up with the high price we had to pay.

Invited for a birthday, we had the pleasure of celebrating at the Bümmersteder Krug in Oldenburg - and it was a wonderful experience! The location itself has a lovely, rustic charm that immediately creates a cozy atmosphere. Although I unfortunately only managed to take a photo of the soup, the entire buffet was to die for. There was a wide range of different dishes - from roulades to beef and pork to different types of fish and crabs. Every bite was reminiscent of the best home cooking, the taste was simply great and very harmonious. The service was also good, which made the evening a success. All in all, it was a delicious treat in a great atmosphere - that's definitely 5 stars!

The best wedding location we could have asked for! The team at Bümmersteder Krug made every wish possible for us as the bride and groom and supported us incredibly well with the planning. The free wedding ceremony in the beautiful garden, the subsequent celebration in the hall with excellent food and the loving service made it a perfect day for us. Big praise also goes to Claudia and Tatjana, who looked after our guests so well! If you want a great celebration or a cozy evening with really good food, this is absolutely the right place for you. My wife and I celebrated our wedding there and it was an absolutely perfect evening. Big praise again to Ms. Winkelmann for her willingness to prepare and talk and of course also a big thank you to Tatjana who made the evening carefree for us. Very nice atmosphere and nice staff. The food tastes very good, but there were occasional problems with supplies for 40 people.

I celebrated my 80th birthday with 34 guests at a warm/cold Italian buffet. The service was unique, from the champagne reception to drinking coffee with delicious cakes. How good that there are still good German inns.

There are enough parking spaces available. All the employees there are very friendly. You are brought to the table and it is beautifully decorated and everything is very harmonious. The map is very simple and well designed. We had the asparagus cream soup and roulades. The asparagus cream soup was very tasty and really good pieces of asparagus inside. The roulades are simply brilliant. The potatoes and red cabbage are also super tasty. The sauce on the roulades was also very good. We also had a sea buckthorn spritz which was very good. We will definitely eat here again. For the portion, the quality, you can really pay the money here. Everything perfect and delicious and we can recommend you 100%. There are enough parking spaces. I went to eat asparagus at Bümmersteder Krug. We had to wait over an hour for the food. The food tasted good, but it didn't make up for the wait. The waitress apologized, but it still bothered me...

At the funeral feast, there was no water on the table and most people didn't find the types of cake tasty either. Never again....

Were there yesterday for the cabbage drive, it was great. Services on point and nice! But the DJ is a disaster!!! He was also at the asparagus tour at Wardenburger Hof last year. Just as bad!! Anyone who, as a DJ, manages that the transitions don't fit or even the music is completely off has missed their job :( then it's better to run Spotify!

If you are traveling in the Oldenburg area then a visit to this restaurant is a must.

Grünkohl-Tellergericht auf der Kegelbahn

Were here today on January 27th, 2024 for the cabbage drive. Both the food and the service were great. The service was the best I've ever experienced on a Kohlfahrt, BUT the DJ was bottom drawer. No requests were taken into account. The 21st century was a foreign word. Nothing modern or anything like that. Hits and 70's were the order of the day. I really don't have any high expectations as long as the mood is good. That was the case, but there is still a great need for action here...

The Shanty Choir Oldenburg had its Christmas dinner here with an extensive buffet. Everyone commented positively. The very attentive table service was excellent! The traditional restaurant lived up to its good reputation. In February we're going to eat cabbage and it's definitely going to be first class (at least it's the price). It'll be fine!

Went there for the cabbage drive and were allowed to park our motorhome right next to the house. We even got electricity and fresh bread rolls in the morning. More hospitality couldn't be better! Excellent! Thank you very much for that 👍

Wir waren am Samstag, auf einer Kohltour, zu Gast im Bümmersteder Krug. Die Räumlichkeiten sind schön, das Essen sehr lecker, und wir hatten eine Menge Spaß Die für uns zuständige Servicekraft (Celine) war sehr freundlich, schnell, zuvorkommend und daher positiv zu erwähnen. Sie mag ihren Job und das merkt man.

Wir waren am vergangenen Samstag, im Rahmen einer Kohltour, zu Gast im Bümmersteder Krug. Die Location war recht groß, das Essen ausreichend und sehr lecker, die Veranstaltung toll. Ein besonderer Dank geht an unsere Servicekraft Celine (ich hoffe, so ist das richtig geschrieben). Sie hatte immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, hat immer dafür gesorgt, dass wir keine leeren Gläser hatten und man hat ihr angemerkt, dass sie ihren Job mit Herzblut und Spaß ausübt. Weiter so!!!

Wir waren vor einiger Zeit im Bümmerstederkrug. Die Speisekarte bietet eine Auswahl an traditionellen Gerichten. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist gemütlich und einladend, was zu einem angenehmen Essenserlebnis beiträgt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, und der Service ist echt flott. Insgesamt kann ich den Bümmerstederkrug wärmstens empfehlen, wenn Sie auf der Suche nach authentischer deutscher Küche sind. Nach dem wir erfahren haben, dass hier auch das Krimidinner stattfindet, werden wir die weite Anreise definitiv wieder in Kauf nehmen und freuen uns schon auf das nächste Essenserlebnis. Lg Aike
