GLÜCKSMARIE in Bad Bramstedt

The (presumably) boss complains loudly about guests who order hot meals during afternoon coffee time. (They only serve currywurst with fries anyway, and they serve that!!) And if you miss the sign at the entrance "We'll escort you to your table," he'll shout rudely at you from the counter across the tables.

I wanted to order a drink to enjoy in the restaurant's garden. Even though I currently need help, the owner said I could only get something if I carried it outside myself. I wouldn't want to go there again. Very rude.

The boss complains to guests and employees, the food and drinks are overpriced. Sometimes you have to reserve a table, sometimes you don't. The ambiance and conditions are good, hence the 4 stars.

Für Gäste draußen gilt meist Selbstbedienung, Service zuweilen unfreundlich ( der Chef), Bei den Speisen sollte man nicht zu viel erwarten. Gehobenes Imbiss Essen. Preise angemessen.

The older waitress with the black hair was absolutely unfriendly and incompetent. Unfortunately, someone like that shouldn't work in service! It's a shame because the ice cream was very tasty.

A nice, old-established café and restaurant with a sunny beer garden and a small play area in the countryside for the little ones. During my rehabilitation in March 2025, I was a guest there several times at different times of the day. We were always greeted warmly, brought to a table and happily served. During peak times, for example lunch from 12 p.m. to around 2:30 p.m., there was a lot of activity in front of and behind the counter. The kitchen worked at full speed for every order. Just this much: 'The portions were very generous and, above all, very tasty. Anyone who got up from the table hungry was their own fault.' Unfortunately there weren't enough staff in service, so we think it was clear that you didn't always meet the happiest face. Nevertheless, everyone tried to do justice to everything and also in terms of time. Unfortunately, since CORONA there have hardly been any qualified staff in the catering industry. Every guest, no matter where they stop, should keep this in mind. 4 stars for service because too few staff 3 stars for ambience: The plastic decorative bouquets, which have yellowed from the sun and the heating, should be removed without replacement.

This was my third time there. The food is very tasty. You can tell that the sauces are homemade, even the mayonnaise. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff is very friendly. I would love to come back

Coffee and cake are ok. The service is terrible, but only from the male waitress. No smile, no kind word. Bad mood. I have no desire for something like that, even if it were the last restaurant in the world. Weber if you don't need it, keep it up

At Easter, very tasty asparagus was added to the Easter menu from Good Friday. A down-to-earth restaurant, the Glücksmarie, right at the AKN Bad Bramstedt-Kurhaus stop on the premises of the Bad Bramstedt Rehab Clinic with delicious dishes such as currywurst, farmer's breakfast and sour meat, the cake is also very tasty, plus a friendly and attentive service team. Attention: “Cash only”, only cash payment.

Price and performance are a disgrace!!! I wouldn't be surprised that the restaurant management keeps the tip!!

Unfriendly boss – never again! Coffee and cake are delicious, but the tone of the (presumably) boss is an imposition. Loud, rude, disrespectful – especially towards guests with walking aids. No help, no kindness. Today we were even thrown out because we were sitting at a table that was previously offered to us by an employee. This is how you scare away guests. Schöner Ort, aber der unfreundlichste Chef weit und breit Während meiner Reha war ich mehrmals in der Glücksmarie. Der Kaffee und Kuchen sind wirklich gut, aber der Aufenthalt wird jedes Mal vom extrem unhöflichen Verhalten eines Mitarbeiters (vermutlich der Chef) überschattet. Gerade in einer Reha-Stadt, wo viele Gäste Gehhilfen nutzen, wäre etwas Hilfsbereitschaft angebracht – stattdessen wird man lautstark zurechtgewiesen, weil man draußen bedient werden möchte oder Hilfe braucht. Heute wurden wir sogar aus dem Lokal geworfen, weil wir uns auf Plätze setzten, die uns zuvor angeboten wurden. Der Ton war aggressiv, herablassend und völlig unangebracht. Schade um das eigentlich schöne Café – mit so einem Umgang verliert man schnell die Lust, wiederzukommen. The only restaurant and café in the hospital area, therefore without competition. We were looking forward to the really delicious cakes. Unfortunately very expensive at €6 for a not very large piece, plus a pot of coffee for €5, waffles and ice cream also in the upper price range. And with self-service! For us it remains a one-off visit.

Nettes Ambiente und Service. Leider sehr überteuert. Torte normal groß, zwar sehr lecker aber 6 €. Pott Kaffee für 3 € hat die Größe einer Tasse, der für uns normale Pott dagegen 5 €. Und alles mit Selbstbedienung!

Clean, food good, unfortunately everything with a very long waiting time, prices are sometimes very exorbitant, but there are also a few dishes for normal prices. All in all, you can go there, you can't be in a hurry and your wallet should be full.

There's nothing better anywhere. Nice host, delicious schnitzels and the best place to escape the REHA canteen! At the weekend there are especially lots of delicious cakes and tarts with coffee!

Very pleasant there and even though it was very busy today, the staff was very friendly, so the wait wasn't too difficult. Cakes and waffles also made up for it. Really highly recommended

We go to the clinic every six months and plan the appointment so that we can have lunch there. We can really only recommend the restaurant. The service comes immediately and the food about 15 minutes later. We never have to wait long and the waiter is always the same, which is very nice. It's easy to chat with him. The food is very tasty and any special requests are happy to be accommodated. The price for lunch can't be beat. The children's corner is surprisingly extensive. We've never seen anything like this before. We are already looking forward to the next time!

Very good restaurant/café on the grounds of the Bad Bramstedt rehabilitation clinic. Incredibly nice, courteous service. Visited three times, never disappointed.

Yesterday we decided to go to the restaurant on a whim. Two adults (one in a wheelchair) and two children without a reservation. The waiter who greeted us was incredibly nice. He organized a table for us and looked after his guests very well. The food came quickly and was overall very good. The atmosphere is somehow quaint but still current. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely be back.

Right next to a rehabilitation clinic and even with its own train station, Glücksmarie is easy to reach. There is a cozy atmosphere and the staff are confident, relaxed and in a good mood. For that alone it's worth the stop.

Homely atmosphere, the landlord has his own sense of humor you have to be able to deal with. Otherwise very nice.

We had booked a table. We sat at the table for 20 minutes without anything happening. We then went to the counter and organized a menu for us. When the food was brought after another 25 minutes, we unfortunately discovered that some of the fried potatoes were burnt. The sour meat dissolved as soon as it was on the plate and the fried potatoes were swimming in liquid aspic. The currywurst was ok. The fries, on the other hand, were way too crispy. The mayonnaise was very thin. All in all, I would never recommend this restaurant.

It's a shame that beautiful places are disappearing. Service is slow as is the kitchen. Price/performance is not consistent. The smell of old grease hangs heavily in the air in and around the building. Outside only self service. Crunchy bread is a wrong description, oil floating bread with garlic is more fitting. Waiting time for this was over half an hour.

My girlfriend and I are really excited and would love to come back if time allows. The food was 1a. There was veg. Pizza and veg. Nuggets with fries, the service was great, friendly, not unpleasantly asked but gallant and discreet, the ambience perfect...I rarely ate so subconsciously slowly because it was just SO pleasant to sit there, chat, enjoy and look at the view enjoy. Sorry that my tip was so small. Wasn't a criticism. ;-) Even the prices are completely ok.

There were three people there, the drink was ok, but the pieces of cake were outrageously thin! Never go there again in my life! When we asked, we were lied to! Also very unfriendly!

Ich war absolut enttäuscht. Eine langweilige, altmodische Einrichtung, Plastikblumen auf der Fensterbank. Der Pott Kaffee war eine etwas größére Tasse (4€), dass Stück Kuchen lag halb auf der dünnen Papierserviette. Die Milch/Kaffeesahne kam als Portionsgröße 1x dazu. Wie in einer Kantine. Die Waffel mit Sahne und Kirsche habe ich noch nie so überschaubar gesehen. Vom Geschmack her waren WaffeI und Kirschkuchen nichts Besonderes. Insgesamt alles lieblos und ohne Charme. Mit Kurklinik, Reha etc. kann man sich das wohl leisten.

When you finally get served, it's very nice and friendly. But having to wait 30 minutes until someone finally comes to order a cake and a drink and then being charged before food and drink are on the table is very strange to me. You should switch to self-service! And the team discusses the friendliness of the lady behind the counter. The waiters and waitresses were all nice and humorous. The woman can learn something from them at the tap.

If you are in REHA, Glücksmarie comes in very handy! What I noticed negatively was that the cake prices are not posted on the counter. So you get a shock with a cappuccino and cake for €9 - I personally find it a bit steep. The taste was very tasty - the cake was all homemade. The service is good - they really do a lot. But I don't want to know what it's like when the restaurant is full.

And it tasted very good and the service was great. It was very busy, so we fully understood the wait. The staff worked as hard as they could.

We were there with 7 people and had to wait almost 1.5 hours for the bad food. The steak was not medium but well done The schnitzels are black on the underside. The fried potatoes were also burnt too much. The pike perch were fried to death and way too dry. There was some fish flavor in all areas. There are even small pieces of fish in the fried potatoes. The burger meat also had a bit of a fishy flavor. You could clearly taste that the vegetables were not fresh, but frozen. Never again!!!

I can only recommend it, great staff and atmosphere.

An insider tip when it comes to asparagus. Ask...it's not on the menu: 26 € schnitzel with 7 large sticks of asparagus, delicious hollandaise and boiled potatoes (unfortunately not freshly cooked). Nevertheless, the boss is attentive and so are his staff. Schnitzel very tender and a great taste. We went to the restaurant spontaneously. There is also a garden outside with tables and chairs... self-service. We'd love to come back.

Not recommended! Unfriendly, unprofessional and overpriced. Cake too expensive for €6.50. Cup of coffee €3.00 is okay. The entire service team seemed a bit helpless and uncoordinated. The waitress first had to smell the drink to find out whether the coffee was with or without caffeine. The service person behind the counter was perhaps a bit overwhelmed when she explained to me rather harshly that no photos were allowed to be taken in the store. That would also be written outside (oh yes, there was nothing there). All in all, it wasn't a relaxed, enjoyable experience, but rather had more of the charm of visiting a company canteen, although the price-performance ratio was certainly better.

Great cake and coffee selection and very tasty. Went there spontaneously and got a place for 8 people. We were there for coffee and I can't say anything about lunch/dinner. But it looked very good. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful.

Went here for coffee this week. No cake prices at the counter or on the menu. The shock came when paying: 18€ for 2 coffees and 2 small pieces of cake. Price performance is not right at all. In my eyes, usury. Coffee was luke warm. Service and ambience good.

We had dinner with 5 people (2 small children, 3 adults) in the Glücksmarie restaurant. The welcome was extremely friendly and we were immediately assigned a table near the play area. The attention of the entire team continued throughout our entire visit: we were served quickly, given a high chair and everyone was well disposed towards our rather loud children. Our special requests in the order (allergy, additional order) were also responded to in a very friendly manner. The manager of the house is very attentive, hospitable and we felt very comfortable throughout our entire stay. Finally a restaurant where you feel like a welcome guest, even with children, and at the same time you can eat delicious food!!!

Nice little family run restaurant. The service person was very nice and polite. The homemade cakes are very tasty, as is the ice cream. A repeat visit is not out of the question 😊

Great restaurant with a great ambience, great service and very, very tasty food. I ordered the zander fillet on vegetables with fried potatoes, with a late Burgundy and, for dessert, cheesecake with a coffee with milk. The food was there within 10 minutes and tasted great, dessert and the milk coffee were also there very quickly. The service was great and very nice. And with the main course I had water. The whole thing was approx 38 euros and the quality of the food was top. The atmosphere is great, there are different seating options, comfortable and very clean. What more do you want...

We went to the Christmas buffet and were overwhelmed by the large selection and the price. We will do it again this year. Very nice staff and the boss personally brought us fresh crispy duck to the table, oh yes dumplings and a round of vanilla ice cream with cherries. Wir hatten reserviert. Wurden dennoch später bedient nach 22 Minuten Wartezeit. Getränke kamen nach 5 Minuten. Dann dauerte das Essen auch nochmal 40 Minuten. Reservieren hat also keinen Vorteil. Das Essen war aber sehr lecker. Cheeseburger und Schnitzel. Nur die Bratkartoffeln waren leider lauwarm.

Uriges lokal. Die Damen und Herren sind sehr freundlich. Uns wurde auch gleich einen Tisch zu gewiesen. Sehr zu empfehlen,. Für die Patienten in der Klinik bzw. REHA/ KUR. Es lohnt sich. Ruhetag sind Montag und Dienstag. Am Wochenende sind Reservierungen nicht möglich. 8

Eigentlich perfekt. 1 Stern Abzug denn leider ist es in dem Restaurant sehr kalt. Da bleibt die Gemütlichkeit erheblich auf der Strecke. Das ist sehr schade.

Das Essen war lecker und due Getränke gut gekühlt sehr gut. Leider gib es eine Gravierende Einschränkung im Service. Das Restaurant befindet sich auf dem Gelände einer Reha Klinik wo fast alle Patienten , bach Erfolgreichen Knie ider Hüftoperationen, an Gehhilfen sich Fortbewegung oder im Rollstuhl sitzen. Und es muss im Restsurant selbst bestellt werden, wenn nan bei schönem Wetter auf der schönen Terrasse sitzt, es kommt keiner an den Tisch. Das geht überhaupt nicht.

Kaffee aus dem Vollautomaten, Kuchen schmeckt, Sahne dazu aus dem Industrieautomaten. Ambiente drinnen und draußen recht lieblos.

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, in diesem Restaurant zu essen und möchte nun meine Gedanken zu meiner Erfahrung teilen. Insgesamt fand ich das Essen in Ordnung, jedoch eher neutral im Geschmack. Die Präsentation und Zubereitung der Gerichte war jedoch ausgezeichnet und zeugte von hoher Qualität und Finesse. Ein Punkt, der mir aufgefallen ist, ist der geringe Einsatz von Gewürzen. Persönlich fand ich, dass den Gerichten etwas mehr Salz, Pfeffer und Knoblauch gut getan hätten, um den Geschmack zu intensivieren. Dadurch hätten die Gerichte mehr Tiefe und Komplexität gewonnen. Zusätzlich hätte ich mich gefreut, wenn es möglich gewesen wäre, extra Chilisauce dazu zu bestellen. Dadurch hätte ich die Möglichkeit gehabt, meine Mahlzeit nach meinen eigenen Vorlieben zu würzen und die gewünschte Schärfe hinzuzufügen. Leider war die Auswahl in dieser Hinsicht begrenzt und etwas enttäuschend. Auf der positiven Seite möchte ich das Restaurant für die einwandfreie Präsentation und Zubereitung des Essens loben. Jedes Gericht war eine echte Augenweide, wunderschön arrangiert und visuell ansprechend. Diese Liebe zum Detail hat das Gesamterlebnis des Essens definitiv bereichert. Zusammenfassend fand ich das Essen in diesem Restaurant in Ordnung, es gibt jedoch ein paar Bereiche, die verbessert werden könnten. Durch den Einsatz von mehr Gewürzen wie Salz, Pfeffer und Knoblauch könnten die Geschmacksrichtungen intensiviert werden. Zusätzliche Optionen für Chilisauce wären ebenfalls wünschenswert. Trotz dieser kleinen Mängel verdient das Restaurant Anerkennung für die hervorragende Präsentation und Zubereitung des Essens. Ich hoffe, dass sie ihr Menü weiter verfeinern und in Zukunft eine größere Auswahl anbieten.

Okayish service with latency (the waiting time for order was too long that I didn't know if I had to order food at the counter or someone will take order), food was below average in taste but the price was above average. Overall the situation is like you are helpless because there isn't any other option for restaurant/cafe nearby.
