Unfortunately not as good as expected, a very inadequate welcome, lack of organization, some cold food and relatively little choice. The price is very reasonable, with relatively good facilities. Also cool robots and a very large, free selection of drinks

At Glücksboot you have THE Asian “all you can eat” experience if you accept that there is only self-service. Here you can really fill your stomach with all sorts of fine Asian specialties for a good fixed price. I find the quality of the food to be really good and I can't complain here. It's interesting that you can bring raw meat such as chicken, duck or other varying meat (for us most recently kangaroo👌), various fish and vegetables to the grill/tepanyaki - the finished dish you put together yourself is then served to you on your plate by a moving robot brought to the table - Nice. The dessert is also great - the kids are always very happy! The price includes 2 soft drinks (no liquor). The downside to all of my visits so far has been the volume, because since it is always busy and full, it is of course correspondingly loud. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend a visit! 👍 Addendum: I actually can't understand some of the negative reviews. Above all, I found the restaurant to be clean. As of: end of November 2024

Great buffet, everything your heart desires

Unfortunately I can only report negative things. The welcome was inadequate, numerous corners were significantly dirty, the tables were not cleaned and the cutlery was also unclean. It also gives a bad impression if a restaurant has only been open for 20 minutes and the waiter appears in dirty clothing; In my opinion, this indicates an overall lack of cleanliness.

Thanks to BellaBot, the service here is excellent😛. We only get together in close proximity every 2 months. However, the lunch buffet quickly ensured that the lucky boat would be headed for when it was time for refreshments. The buffet offers a good selection of fresh dishes. In terms of price, you can get away with it extremely cheaply. And the hospitality is very friendly. You can tell that a lot of effort is being made to satisfy the guest - using simple means.

Had something of a distaste for crowds.

We were here once for the lunch buffet and once for the evening buffet, my review refers to the last visit to the evening buffet during the week. The sushi was disastrous. Very little choice, far too much rice, just doesn't taste good. The fish selection for the grill wasn't bad, although the result was burnt and undercooked. Really a shame. The ice was crystallized. I didn't try all of the Asian dishes, what I did taste didn't taste good at all and was of a much lower quality than what the average Asian eats. The soft drinks from the dispenser had neither gas nor taste, but the selection of drinks in the refrigerators was satisfactory. The soft ice cream was delicious. The cake was fine. There was no waffle batter for the waffle iron. The coffee machine was broken but was repaired. Conclusion: I would not visit the restaurant again because my expectations at the evening buffet were not even met. This would be: Sushi of at least supermarket quality, non-crystallized ice, cooked, unfired fish on the grill and Asian dishes that you don't have to suffer through. Of course the restaurant has to make a profit, but not by eating food that is too salty so that you have to drink a lot of fluids and become full quickly.

The ambience, atmosphere and food resembles a rocky 3-star hotel. Next to our table it was messy, stacked chairs, a rubber glove, everything seems messy and not clean. The buffet was unappetizingly prepared, careless and what I ate didn't taste good. The sauces are completely over-seasoned with soy sauce. I had shrimp fried and they were served cold by a robot 30 minutes later. I'm still at a loss for words. Never again!

We were there with a group of 6 people. We were really looking forward to the food but were very disappointed. Food: The counter is huge and at first glance there is a large selection, but everything was always empty or had been there for ages. The sushi is not sushi... you get the feeling of 4 star sushi at Rewe. The duck was mushy and ultra fatty. In my opinion, the "fresh fish/meat" offer was not fresh (which was later confirmed for me, as I got quite a stomach ache and spent the night on the toilet). The rice and the Peking soup were the only things that tasted good. Service: A man kept coming and asking if everything was OK and if he could do something good for us. At the end he also brought us a fresh, warm waffle. The clearer was also very friendly and always picked up the leftover plates relatively quickly. Highlight: The only highlight was the robot that brings you the food that you had previously brought to the Mongolian grill. We liked it: The selection of drinks, dessert bar (although the chocolate fountain was out) and the service. Conclusion: I have often eaten in restaurants like this in other locations in Germany. But I've never experienced such a bad Asian buffet... The Gourmet Temple in Weinheim Baden-Württemberg as an example is perfect. Maybe take a look at this on Google and you'll know what I'm talking about. To my regret, I have to say that I will no longer eat here at Glücksboot and will not recommend it either.

Lots of goodies in very good quality. The countless sauces on the grill alone are amazing. Red curry is highly recommended and also very spicy. Different types of shrimp, mushrooms, bamboo, you really are spoiled for choice. The duck is not at all greasy and always crispy. All drinks are included. A huge selection, even exotic drinks such as mate lemonade are available in different varieties. Service as usual at a buffet, largely replaced by a robot. Still extremely friendly and accommodating. There is always an offer to prepare something fresh. I've never experienced anything like this at a buffet before. Mega. The ambience is better than the cut. I would also like to come here from further away.

I had to use force to remove my cell phone from the tabletop. The food was so-so. For a buffet offer, I would like the offer to be constantly replenished, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The duck was not as usual, crispy and brown but rather mushy and light. Sushi could not be described as such. Service staff only in the form of a serving robot, which urgently needed cleaning. The last time I was on the lucky boat was a few years ago, and things have slowed down a lot since then. It's a mystery to me how some people give 5 stars here, as the culinary standard seems to be quite flat. This was my last visit.

Great price performance, staff nice and accommodating.

One or two meals that were supposed to be grilled arrived differently than they were given, but it was still very tasty. Unfortunately, the popular chocolate fountain was not active. The dishes were picked up every now and then. Due to the high number of customers, there wasn't often table service when it came to alcoholic drinks. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance and, if necessary, to try the food there beforehand.

Very crowded, uncomfortable and mass processing. That was my first impression after we entered the store. After waiting 10 minutes at the entrance we left again. No reception or allocation to the place because no one felt responsible.

All you could really do was mess around with an ice pick. Food was cold. The one in the containers to choose and eat straight away. Really everything. We were there at 6 p.m., so I was wondering when they put it in there, my fear was that maybe it was still there from the lunch buffet. Then we had food freshly prepared, the first plate from me came pretty quickly, but the food was cold. My boys didn't get their self-assembled plate at all. They were totally overwhelmed at the front. The absolute highlight was when we paid (had to wait a bit) The person who was freshly preparing the food sneezed all over the food that he had fried. Simply disgusting. You'll never see us there again.

Well, the lucky boat is obviously past its golden age. The atmosphere is rather dingy and loveless. Cardboard boxes standing around, makeshift beams that are half painted in the color of the remaining wooden decoration, missing elements of the false ceiling and, very worth mentioning, the service robots. They are dirty and play annoying music. It would be more pleasant to have consistent background music instead of moving speakers that always play the same thing. The food was lukewarm to cold. The peanut sauce seemed burnt to me. The fried meat was fried mercilessly and I had meat and vegetables on my plate that I hadn't added. Something was also missing elsewhere. You were greeted in a friendly manner, and even though drinks are part of the all you can eat principle, I would have preferred a waitress at this point and not self-service. I know good Asian all-you-can-eat restaurants, but this one exudes more of the charm of a canteen at an aging university. Well, everyone has to know for themselves.

Despite some bad reviews, we wanted to give the restaurant a chance. We were warmly welcomed and seated at the table. Unfortunately, the atmosphere reminds you of a school canteen where the aim is to feed as many people as possible. It's very blandly furnished and there are things in every corner that you wouldn't want to see while eating in a restaurant. The food is very bland and sometimes tasteless. Even the beer here tastes stale. The food in the warming containers looks slightly unappetizing and some of it is dripping with fat. This is reflected in the taste. The food to be fried takes a long time and is delivered to the place fried by a robot that screams loudly with music. (This is also not kept hygienically clean) The constant sound makes you feel like you're in an amusement park instead of having a cozy meal. Conclusion about the restaurant: We are now sick and will not enter this restaurant again. Not recommended.

Yesterday we had dinner for my grandson's birthday. It was great. We all enjoyed it and enjoyed it very much.

My husband and I are currently testing a few restaurants in Leipzig. We mainly like buffet. The real hits so far have been the Golden Crown and the Gormet Palace. We haven't had such a lousy and expensive disappointment as in the lucky boat for a long time. The ambience is anything but nice and the food simply didn't taste good at all. The sushi was the worst I've ever eaten. Old and without taste. I could barely get it down. Then we thought we'd have a plate grilled, maybe it would get better. The fresh meat smelled anything but fresh. These strange hoods on top seem cheap and unhygienic. And it tasted nothing. The mushrooms even tasted bad. And my diarrhea afterwards confirmed that for me. Absolutely not recommended. A lot of penade everywhere but zero taste. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like pure sugar. We would have preferred to leave without paying. Very unfortunate. We can't understand the many good reviews. And now I hope my stomach cramps go away quickly. In addition, most of the labels were missing, you had no idea what you were eating, some of them were carelessly written by hand.

Super good food and good price and good staff

Unfortunately the food wasn't as good this time. Pasta completely oversalted... a shame. The rest was OK. But it's nothing more than OK, because the chocolate fountain is out of order. Canned fruit. And some types of raw meat looked really strange on the shelf at a room temperature of 34 degrees. The staff were friendly.

Sunday evening buffet, the food itself was quite tasty, the selection and presentation was rather less good. Some of the desserts are discount cakes, the fruits are canned and the ice cream chest doesn't look inviting. The wooden handle on the back of the chair had broken off at the top, posing a risk of injury. The staff was friendly but unfortunately a bit unpresent. The table robot was very funny, but it constantly plays pop music and all in all there is no music for the ambience. Price/performance is very good. Unfortunately, it was a one-off visit. You could do a lot more with it.

Actually it didn't even deserve one star. The staircase to the restaurant is dusty/dirty and unkempt, the toilets are super dirty, the dining room is dirty, careless and shabby and the entire staff does not wear work or hygiene clothing. The plates at the buffet are dirty, the ice cream chest for self-rolling is creepy, tomatoes in the salad bar were glazed, the popcorn machine is dirty, the whole buffet makes a bad impression, even the service robot needs to be cleaned... I hope we don't feel bad today...

In fact, I can say I didn't particularly like it. My husband and I went there for the lunch buffet. The food itself seemed fresh but the restaurant and buffet area seemed dirty, greasy and unclean. The vanilla sauce for the dessert was on the one hand liquid like water, on the other hand it was lumpy because it had obviously not been mixed properly. The candlesticks in the windowsill and the aquariums also looked germy and unclean. Service was virtually non-existent. You have to take your own drinks and if you get something freshly fried, a robot serves it. However, it was also totally dirty and needed to be cleaned urgently. We won't go there again.

The food was very, very tasty and fresh. The selection of drinks is also very good and there are plenty of options to choose from. The staff was super nice and friendly. They even made the waffles for us and brought them to the table 😁 I like the service robot best 😉 I also particularly like the ice cream machine, everything is very hygienic. The only thing I would personally complain about is that the fans in the ceilings are cleaned regularly. But all in all we were very satisfied 😊

Unfortunately we didn't have a nice evening today. The Mongolian grill, the meat was fried too briefly and was very firm to the bite. Octubus was an unpleasant surprise to come across Grete and the rest inside. Everything was also cold due to the very short frying. The prepared meals were ok. Peanut sauce was salty. Maybe it was because there were few guests on a holiday. Soft ice cream was our highlight. Drinks very good selection.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't know what to recommend at this restaurant other than the nice gentlemen at the door. The ambience cannot be compared. Loveless is the closest thing to it. Unfortunately, the service was slightly overwhelmed due to the number of guests in the dining hall, but they were all friendly. The food was unfortunately a medium disaster in terms of taste and quality. Even when it came to the kitchen it was sometimes cold and, for example, the peanut sauce only ran past a peanut. The food I brought to the grill was also burnt. So if you want quality Chinese cuisine, this is definitely the wrong place.

We have actually been regular guests for many years and have always been satisfied. After the restaurant was briefly closed due to hygiene issues, everything was ok again. Unfortunately the poor condition is back. The staff looks dirty with sweatpants and floppy T-shirts, the food is cold and everything tastes the same. The ambience also leaves something to be desired. The curtains are hanging down and the lamps are missing from the socket. The staff is friendly as always, but unfortunately that's not all. Unfortunately, we won't be going there anymore. The buffet was very tasty and there was food that you don't get anywhere else. Freshly made waffles were delivered directly to your table by a waiter robot and the sushi was good too. Unfortunately, the chilled food for preparation on the grill no longer looked well chilled, which is why I can't say anything about it because I haven't tried it. However, we were there late. A big plus point is that drinks are included in the price. We're not just talking about "normal" lemonade, but also iced teas, organic lemonades and almost everything you'd expect from a good drink.

I would like to give more than 5 stars for the service! This buffet restaurant stands out not because of its outstanding food, but because of its outstanding service. The drinks fridge has everything your heart desires, the variety of food is quite large, from ready-made meals to Mongolian buffets, sushi, classic Asian desserts, cake, soft ice cream, waffles and popcorn. The serving robot is treated very lovingly and is another highlight alongside the friendly and courteous people in service.

The selection of drinks is great and that's where my praise ends. The sushi loses to anything that has been in the supermarket for 3 days. Especially because you don't put any chicken or pickles in it. The warm buffet was also mixed. With every second meal you asked yourself whether you really wanted to eat it. As far as the roasting stand was concerned, I got a plate back, which, regardless of the fact that everything was so fried as if you'd rather have gotten a job in a charcoal factory, a smell rising that immediately spoiled any appetite. All in all, the restaurant is recommended if you come for the funny serving robot or the drinks. However, if you come over to eat and expect a normal Asian all-you-can-eat restaurant, you should give it a wide berth.

By far the worst restaurant I have ever visited. The food was barely edible. If you want to eat really bad sushi, this is the place for you. The main component of fried dishes is mainly fat and oil. I had a strong urge to eat an apple just after tasting it. When it comes to hygiene, all I can say is: "What kind of hygiene?". It's probably not for nothing that the health department closed the shop a few months ago. It was dirty everywhere, from the dishes to the buffet. The atmosphere was like a gymnasium with the best of it Plastic flowers and oak wood wanted to be taken out, but the poison green aquariums with the poor fish couldn't get anything out. In total I would have paid 27€ per person. You can also just throw it out the window. I hope we get out of this without food poisoning. If you haven't figured it out by now, I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner with the children and it was a pleasant experience. I can only recommend this facility. The staff is very friendly, hardworking and attentive. The restaurant is clean and cozy, the choice of food is large, everything is deliciously prepared, the drinks and ice cream are excellent. Of course the children are very impressed by the robot waiter. We'll be back :) As a small suggestion, it would be even more comfortable if unobtrusive music was played. LG

We (my friend and I) had dinner at Glücksboot yesterday. Let's start with the positive things: +They have a robot that brings food and drinks (alcoholic) to the place, super cute +The pickled mushrooms and bamboo shoots were tasty and definitely edible +The gentleman with whom we made the reservation and paid was very friendly But unfortunately the negative outweighs the negatives here, because all in all it just wasn't good: -The cutlery (even the clean ones) was sticky -The card on the table for shots was also sticky -The toilets were dirty and the taps in the women's toilet were completely crusty and sticky -The raw meats for grilling were at room temperature, in their own juice -The food itself tasted and looked more like frozen food (e.g. the cheesecake, many of the vegetables), the sweet and sour sauce also had the taste of a sauce that had already been bought And the worst of all: Unfortunately, I got bad diarrhea a few hours after visiting here. My friend doesn't though. We had a gourmet block with us, so luckily we only paid €26 instead of €52, but unfortunately we won't be coming back because, based on my nightly experience, the €26 wasn't really worth it either.

There was hardly any service for the small tables, even paying the bill was only possible after waiting a long time at the counter. At the buffet you had to plan a waiting time of 20 minutes. Instead of saying "no" to guests who had not reserved a table in advance, tables were sought from all corners and every corner, no matter how small, was used to provide them with tables. The money was probably all that mattered here, but it made the whole atmosphere even worse...

It's a shame that there is no alternative at the grill buffet restaurants! We visited the restaurant twice in 2019 and were disappointed. Much was intended but the implementation was not consistent. The soup buffet was awesome. The sushi was horrible. Everything tasted ok. The soft ice cream machine is great! Now I noticed the concept revision. Similar to that of the only remaining competition. We were looking forward to the new test and the concept we were already familiar with. Given the price range, I was expecting a major upgrade. Disappointing. No improvement in taste. Sushi dry, too big, massy rice, hardly any nori. Grilled food selection OK, soup buffet gone, cleanliness at the buffet not good (cutlery, plates), replenishment slow or not at all,... I also hope that the first guest experiences will now lead to improvements. I would be happy if you could convince me again!
