Very tasty and highly recommended! Anyone who complains here has no idea what good food is 😉

The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is simple. The price for lunch was reasonable for an all-you-can-eat menu...so if you want to eat a lot, this is the place for you. If you want something more upscale, go elsewhere. They also have a fun robot operator...something for kids.

Unfortunately, the Lucky Boat wasn't for me. I felt like I was in a train station concourse, and some of the food was cold and the selection was so-so.

Very nice restaurant, friendly staff, huge selection of starters, main courses, and desserts (e.g., fresh bubble waffles). The Mongolian grill is also great. The prices are reasonable and reasonable, as drinks (soft drinks, tea, coffee, juices, etc., and some alcoholic beverages) are included. The highlight for the younger ones is the robot cat.

I've rarely met such friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. We had a wonderful evening with 20 people. The food was excellent, and above all, the value for money was incredible. €25 included drinks (Paulanee Spezi, draft beer, thirst quencher, mate, energy drink, and much more) (including two alcoholic drinks), and for dessert, a chocolate fountain, soft serve ice cream, regular ice cream, and freshly baked waffles... fantastic!

We were at the Glücksboot (a birthday party) on May 31, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. with eight people. It was once again a fantastic evening. Although the restaurant was busy, the bars were always well-stocked and clean – we really appreciated that. The drinks selection is simply enormous, and the staff is always very polite, friendly, and attentive. We've been coming to the Glücksboot for years and have always been satisfied. We especially liked that my son received a small gift from the staff after paying – that was a really nice gesture. We highly recommend the Glücksboot and are already looking forward to our next visit!

The service was very friendly, and the restaurant's atmosphere was actually quite pleasant. The food didn't seem particularly fresh, which was confirmed later that evening: I got food poisoning. What a shame.

Well, I can't complain. We like eating here and are always very satisfied. It's understandable that you can't please every guest. But most people have something to complain about everything. OK, I haven't had hair in my food yet and you notice time and again that it's the customers' personal fault how the buffet looks. People throw the food around and in the end, as always, it's the owners' fault. I don't think that's right. But that's what humanity has become. I have to say a big thank you and I'm happy to go back again and again. 🥰 Keep up the good work and don't let it get you down.

Even though we arrived half an hour early, we received a very friendly welcome, were seated, and were served immediately with our drink requests. We love the wide selection of all-inclusive drinks. The food was freshly prepared and, to our taste, delicious. The selection of dishes is also more than sufficient. We ate here on a midweek Wednesday and were completely satisfied and will definitely be back. Thank you very much.

We were skeptical at first, having read the reviews. But our experience was different. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food selection was varied, as were the drinks. Since there are probably not many guests eating out during the week, the containers weren't overflowing. But there were no empty containers either! We also think the price is reasonable for this offering. We will definitely be back and thank you for your hospitality.

I was there with a group for the second time, after the book fair. Many impressions were confirmed after the first visit. Unfortunately, the rooms are anything but dauber and tidy. Changing table for baby in a broom closet them light. Very adventurous. The drink selection is good. Everyone should find something there. The food however... Everything tastes the same or not. The sushi is an insult. The Mongolian Grill simply didn't have enough staff that evening. It was too much for someone who was supposed to be grilling. Some of the food arrived cold. So overall not good for the price.

To celebrate our 25th anniversary last week, we went to the Glücksboot (Lucky Boat) for the evening buffet. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes on offer, from freshly prepared dishes to self-selected dishes and buffet-style options. Everything tasted great, and great care was taken to ensure guest satisfaction. The value for money is definitely right here. To my great surprise, a member of staff gave me a small gift and an envelope as I left. Inside was a voucher for our next visit. We were very pleased about that. Thank you for the kind gesture.

We have been to the “Glücksboot” several times, unfortunately it will probably be the last time. First the positive: The very large room is stylishly furnished, the staff is quite friendly, the selection of food is very large in the area of ​​fresh meat, fish and vegetables, which you can have prepared (even if some are still frozen). Unfortunately there was very little choice of "ready" food, strange things were breaded (breaded surimi???), the spring rolls were dry and had hardly any vegetables in them, the fried shrimp were mixed with corn. There was only one ready-made soup (Peking soup); at a soup bar you could put together your own wonton soup and have it freshly prepared. A great thing in itself, unfortunately the end result didn't taste great. Very unfortunate. At least the desserts were delicious. Nevertheless, you can no longer give a recommendation with a clear conscience.

Food was not refilled and the meat and vegetables were very dry...e.g. The leek was really dry, the noodles were too salty... Then hot sauce would simply be mixed in while frying...I chose white coconut milk...the guy at the grill also looked annoyed, even though it was just opening The entrance before you go up the stairs was very nice.. unfortunately, that's the only thing. You're lucky if you don't have vomiting diarrhea afterwards. Anyone who voluntarily goes back here after a visit or recommends it to someone really has no taste and no feeling of disgust. Plus, probably an infinite amount of money. €26 per person is really way too much for what you get. The fish stank to high heaven and in addition to having hair in the salad dressing, it was also absolutely mangy. The tables and counters were all dirty and the floor was so sticky, even though that shouldn't have been possible because of the dust, dirt and leftover food. The cutlery also had real streaks and clumps of dirt on it. Luckily there were drinks in closed bottles, such as Paulaner Spezi, Mio Mio Cola Zero or apple spritzer from Aldi. Finally, I would like to say a few words about the other visitors. It is an absolute impudence to push forward, push and shout at the other guests in a queue where you can easily wait 20-30 minutes, just because the children (5-7 years old) “want” something. Then clearing everything out and letting the children tackle everything with their hands after they have cleaned themselves in every orifice is really the bottom drawer. I cannot recommend it in any way and will not set foot in this shed again. I'll spare you photos!

At Glücksboot you have THE Asian “all you can eat” experience if you accept that there is only self-service. Here you can really fill your stomach with all sorts of fine Asian specialties for a good fixed price. I find the quality of the food to be really good and I can't complain here. It's interesting that you can bring raw meat such as chicken, duck or other varying meat (for us most recently kangaroo👌), various fish and vegetables to the grill/tepanyaki - the finished dish you put together yourself is then served to you on your plate by a moving robot brought to the table - Nice. The dessert is also great - the kids are always very happy! The price includes 2 soft drinks (no liquor). The downside to all of my visits so far has been the volume, because since it is always busy and full, it is of course correspondingly loud. Otherwise, I can definitely recommend a visit! 👍 Addendum: I actually can't understand some of the negative reviews. Above all, I found the restaurant to be clean. As of: end of November 2024

Ich war begeistert von diesem Restaurant, das Angebot an Speisen ist hervorragend ,die Atmosphäre hat mir sehr gefallen. Der Servier-roboter ist ein Erlebnis für Kinder. Wir hatten eine Familiengeburtstagsfeier. Endlich musst du mal keiner mehr an seinem Platz sitzen, ohne sich zu bewegen . Bedienung war sehr freundlich, alles ordentlich ,kann ich nur jeden empfehlen. Der Festpreis ist sehr moderat, für diese große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Gerne immer wieder.

Thanks to BellaBot, the service here is excellent😛. We only get together in close proximity every 2 months. However, the lunch buffet quickly ensured that the lucky boat would be headed for when it was time for refreshments. The buffet offers a good selection of fresh dishes. In terms of price, you can get away with it extremely cheaply. And the hospitality is very friendly. You can tell that a lot of effort is being made to satisfy the guest - using simple means.

Had something of a distaste for crowds.

We were here once for the lunch buffet and once for the evening buffet, my review refers to the last visit to the evening buffet during the week. The sushi was disastrous. Very little choice, far too much rice, just doesn't taste good. The fish selection for the grill wasn't bad, although the result was burnt and undercooked. Really a shame. The ice was crystallized. I didn't try all of the Asian dishes, what I did taste didn't taste good at all and was of a much lower quality than what the average Asian eats. The soft drinks from the dispenser had neither gas nor taste, but the selection of drinks in the refrigerators was satisfactory. The soft ice cream was delicious. The cake was fine. There was no waffle batter for the waffle iron. The coffee machine was broken but was repaired. Conclusion: I would not visit the restaurant again because my expectations at the evening buffet were not even met. This would be: Sushi of at least supermarket quality, non-crystallized ice, cooked, unfired fish on the grill and Asian dishes that you don't have to suffer through. Of course the restaurant has to make a profit, but not by eating food that is too salty so that you have to drink a lot of fluids and become full quickly.

The ambience, atmosphere and food resembles a rocky 3-star hotel. Next to our table it was messy, stacked chairs, a rubber glove, everything seems messy and not clean. The buffet was unappetizingly prepared, careless and what I ate didn't taste good. The sauces are completely over-seasoned with soy sauce. I had shrimp fried and they were served cold by a robot 30 minutes later. I'm still at a loss for words. Never again!

We were there with a group of 6 people. We were really looking forward to the food but were very disappointed. Food: The counter is huge and at first glance there is a large selection, but everything was always empty or had been there for ages. The sushi is not sushi... you get the feeling of 4 star sushi at Rewe. The duck was mushy and ultra fatty. In my opinion, the "fresh fish/meat" offer was not fresh (which was later confirmed for me, as I got quite a stomach ache and spent the night on the toilet). The rice and the Peking soup were the only things that tasted good. Service: A man kept coming and asking if everything was OK and if he could do something good for us. At the end he also brought us a fresh, warm waffle. The clearer was also very friendly and always picked up the leftover plates relatively quickly. Highlight: The only highlight was the robot that brings you the food that you had previously brought to the Mongolian grill. We liked it: The selection of drinks, dessert bar (although the chocolate fountain was out) and the service. Conclusion: I have often eaten in restaurants like this in other locations in Germany. But I've never experienced such a bad Asian buffet... The Gourmet Temple in Weinheim Baden-Württemberg as an example is perfect. Maybe take a look at this on Google and you'll know what I'm talking about. To my regret, I have to say that I will no longer eat here at Glücksboot and will not recommend it either.

I had to use force to remove my cell phone from the tabletop. The food was so-so. For a buffet offer, I would like the offer to be constantly replenished, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The duck was not as usual, crispy and brown but rather mushy and light. Sushi could not be described as such. Service staff only in the form of a serving robot, which urgently needed cleaning. The last time I was on the lucky boat was a few years ago, and things have slowed down a lot since then. It's a mystery to me how some people give 5 stars here, as the culinary standard seems to be quite flat. This was my last visit.

Lots of goodies in very good quality. The countless sauces on the grill alone are amazing. Red curry is highly recommended and also very spicy. Different types of shrimp, mushrooms, bamboo, you really are spoiled for choice. The duck is not at all greasy and always crispy. All drinks are included. A huge selection, even exotic drinks such as mate lemonade are available in different varieties. Service as usual at a buffet, largely replaced by a robot. Still extremely friendly and accommodating. There is always an offer to prepare something fresh. I've never experienced anything like this at a buffet before. Mega. The ambience is better than the cut. One or two meals that were supposed to be grilled arrived differently than they were given, but it was still very tasty. Unfortunately, the popular chocolate fountain was not active. The dishes were picked up every now and then. Due to the high number of customers, there wasn't often table service when it came to alcoholic drinks. Despite some bad reviews, we wanted to give the restaurant a chance. We were warmly welcomed and seated at the table. Unfortunately, the atmosphere reminds you of a school canteen where the aim is to feed as many people as possible. It's very blandly furnished and there are things in every corner that you wouldn't want to see while eating in a restaurant. The food is very bland and sometimes tasteless. Even the beer here tastes stale. The food in the warming containers looks slightly unappetizing and some of it is dripping with fat. This is reflected in the taste. The food to be fried takes a long time and is delivered to the place fried by a robot that screams loudly with music. (This is also not kept hygienically clean) The constant sound makes you feel like you're in an amusement park instead of having a cozy meal. Conclusion about the restaurant: We are now sick and will not enter this restaurant again. Not recommended.

Well, the lucky boat is obviously past its golden age. The atmosphere is rather dingy and loveless. Cardboard boxes standing around, makeshift beams that are half painted in the color of the remaining wooden decoration, missing elements of the false ceiling and, very worth mentioning, the service robots. They are dirty and play annoying music. It would be more pleasant to have consistent background music instead of moving speakers that always play the same thing. The food was lukewarm to cold. The peanut sauce seemed burnt to me. The fried meat was fried mercilessly and I had meat and vegetables on my plate that I hadn't added. Something was also missing elsewhere. You were greeted in a friendly manner, and even though drinks are part of the all you can eat principle, I would have preferred a waitress at this point and not self-service. I know good Asian all-you-can-eat restaurants, but this one exudes more of the charm of a canteen at an aging university. Well, everyone has to know for themselves.

My husband and I are currently testing a few restaurants in Leipzig. We mainly like buffet. The real hits so far have been the Golden Crown and the Gormet Palace. We haven't had such a lousy and expensive disappointment as in the lucky boat for a long time. The ambience is anything but nice and the food simply didn't taste good at all. The sushi was the worst I've ever eaten. Old and without taste. I could barely get it down. Then we thought we'd have a plate grilled, maybe it would get better. The fresh meat smelled anything but fresh. These strange hoods on top seem cheap and unhygienic. And it tasted nothing. The mushrooms even tasted bad. And my diarrhea afterwards confirmed that for me. Absolutely not recommended. A lot of penade everywhere but zero taste. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like pure sugar. We would have preferred to leave without paying. Very unfortunate. We can't understand the many good reviews. And now I hope my stomach cramps go away quickly. In addition, most of the labels were missing, you had no idea what you were eating, some of them were carelessly written by hand.

Unfortunately the food wasn't as good this time. Pasta completely oversalted... a shame. The rest was OK. But it's nothing more than OK, because the chocolate fountain is out of order. Canned fruit. Sunday evening buffet, the food itself was quite tasty, the selection and presentation was rather less good. Some of the desserts are discount cakes, the fruits are canned and the ice cream chest doesn't look inviting. The wooden handle on the back of the chair had broken off at the top, posing a risk of injury. The staff was friendly but unfortunately a bit unpresent. The table robot was very funny, but it constantly plays pop music and all in all there is no music for the ambience. Price/performance is very good. Unfortunately, it was a one-off visit. You could do a lot more with it.

The staircase to the restaurant is dusty/dirty and unkempt, the toilets are super dirty, the dining room is dirty, careless and shabby and the entire staff does not wear work or hygiene clothing.
