Since the restaurant's popularity has grown and occupancy has increased, the prices have been raised regularly. Unfortunately, the service has also gotten worse over the years, and the drink prices are outrageous. Sorry, Giovanni, I'm out as a former and frequent regular.

It was my first time there, and the taste was mediocre. The pizza toppings were soaked with oil from the cheese, resulting in a soggy pizza, and the way the pizza is sliced ​​is poor. A wonderful afternoon at Giovanni R – highly recommended! There were five of us there and we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. The weather was lovely, and we were able to sit in the beautifully designed courtyard in a truly pleasant atmosphere – almost like a mini-vacation in the heart of Laatzen. The food was fantastic: the homemade pasta was simply heavenly, and the pizzas were incredibly delicious – crispy, fresh, and perfectly topped. My boyfriend and I ate here based on word of mouth. We both ordered pizzas with toppings. When the pizza arrived, it was sliced ​​as if the pizza maker didn't give a damn how it was sliced. Two slices that were 2 cm wide and felt like 5 cm long. And the other one was 40 cm wide and 1 meter long. What's that about? Make some effort for the customers who pay for it. It was like a spit-in. The next thing would be the cheese all over all the toppings. For some, that's fine, but to me, the toppings tasted like nothing at all because they were soaked with cheese and oil. The last thing I noticed was that we ordered dessert, but it arrived while we were in the middle of eating. The reason given was that it was already in the kitchen. Totally okay. It was a really bad timing, the ice cream had already melted, but it was okay. All around, eating here was not a good experience.

The food and the restaurant were great. There's a nice, cozy terrace outside. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We were served by four different people in 1.5 hours. One of them didn't know what the other person had taken. We had to wait 40 minutes for our food and only got it after we asked. The annoying thing was that only one dish arrived first, and the second one came 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, because of the wait, the first dish wasn't hot anymore, but only lukewarm.

The pizza is some of the best I know. The pasta is homemade and the service is friendly and competent. Of course it can take a little longer during trade fair times, but it's usually quick. Recommended.

Unfortunately disappointed. I was there with two friends and we ate pizza and bruschetta. The starter rather the bread dough (not toasted) had far too little water. Which resulted in a very very hard dough. Unfortunately the same applied to the pizza. It was so hard that it was extremely difficult to cut even with the steak knives that came with the pizza. The pizza was also very unevenly topped and I somehow missed the tuna on my tuna pizza. The little bit of tuna that was on the pizza tasted good though. The waiters, well, everything is difficult at the beginning. It was clear to some people that you hadn't been doing this for long. But I don't want to interpret that in a negative way. Apart from that, the service or more likely the kitchen was quite slow (waiting time for pizza 25 minutes) without it being visibly busy. 1 starter, 3 main courses, 3 large drinks and 80 euros + 10 euros tip later, I was disappointed to discover that unfortunately it will be a one-off visit. PS: Seat cushions on the bench outside would have made the waiting time for the main course much more pleasant. Otherwise the outside area was pretty normal and without any special features.

A corner of Italy, very good but above all someone speaks Italian.

The quality of the food has declined significantly in recent years, but prices continue to rise. A large part of the current staff speaks little German and the facility also urgently needs a refresh after all this time. Overall, we are sad that our previous favorite Italian restaurant is no longer one we will visit regularly.

We discovered a lovely Italian shop in Hanover. Great fresh pasta dishes and delicious pizza from a team that creates everything with a passion for food and gastronomy. You can shop directly from the deli department and take delicious items home with you. Many thanks to the entire team for the wide selection. We'll be back.

We trusted the reviews and they weren't wrong. We ate a trio of ravioli filled with different fish and the bells with prawns, broccoli and cream, the seasoning was a little more German-style, with the prawns I would have avoided the cream. A 4 x homemade pasta and cooking are all there. We will definitely be back. On the other hand, good, plentiful and also the right price.

Einen Tisch hier zu reservieren ist mehr als schwierig. Telefonisch schwer zu erreichen und eine Reservierung über WhatsApp? Könnt ihr ja mal versuchen. Wer diese Hürde genommen hat kann sich sicher sein, das er ein gutes italienisches Restaurant besuchen wird. Gut mit der Bahn zu erreichen und mit dem Auto solltet ihr eine kleine Runde zur Parkplatzsuche einplanen. Aber fündig werdet ihr immer. Der Service braucht ein bisschen um an den Tisch zu kommen aber wenn eine Bestellung aufgenommen worden ist dauert es nicht lange bis die Getränke und Speisen am Platz sind. Die Pizza ist sehr gut, der Boden dünn, der Rand knackig und der Belag lecker. So muss eine gute Pizza für mich sein. Ebenso gut gelungen ist die Nachspeise – in meinem Fall Tiramisu. Hier kann man mit der Bestellung nichts falsch machen. Wer über die Enge und die Lautstärke hinwegsehen kann und den Service eigenständig animieren möchte der bekommt hier gute italienische Speisen serviert. Für ein komplettes Restauranterlebnis ist die allerdings ein Punkt über den ich bei der Bewertung nicht hinweg sehen kann.

The Giovanni R in Laatzen offers a mixed experience. The Pizza Alla Giovanni (€16.90) tastes good, but the disadvantageous pre-cutting is a point of criticism. The homemade tiramisu (€6.90) was the highlight of the evening, while the cappuccino was disappointing - small and with little milk foam. The service needs improvement: Long waiting times due to limited responsibilities and uncoordinated food distribution, especially for groups, spoil the impression. There were three of us at Giovanni's at lunchtime. We were asked upstairs and allowed to choose a table. Unfortunately, the service was very bad - the lady was totally unfriendly and handed us the Soeise cards with her blue work gloves. The mental cinema began immediately. The service didn't get any better, the pizza was okay, but the salad was inedible. It's a shame about the time and money.

Unfortunately I can't recommend it any further. I ordered pasta with salmon but received it without salmon. The waiter told me to dig into the pasta, only after a while did he realize it really wasn't there. I waited, the food started to get cold. After 20 minutes he brought a small portion when we had already eaten, I didn't even hear an apology. Spend €22 for pasta with tomato cream sauce.

We ordered two dishes from the daily menu for lunch and both loved them. The portion sizes were good, both of us were full, the sauces were super tasty. The best thing of all was the spinach and ricotta ravioli, they were simply delicious! You could taste the love in the homemade noodles! And the dessert was also very, very tasty!

TOP! authentic Italian cuisine and wines, good service

Giovanni R, not to be confused with Giovanni L (the famous ice cream maker), writes stories from the Paulanergarten. But not as you would know from advertising, but an outdoor restaurant decorated with Paulaner umbrellas. Quite comfortably located on a side street, with little to no traffic in a residential area - appropriate, I would say. The starter was Bruschetta Mozzarella and the main course was Pizza Rucola. Both tasted okay - the knife was a troublesome issue in both dishes. It was also announced at the next table that a better knife would have been the key to easy eating. The waitress could be a little more attentive and write down orders so she wouldn't have to ask twice. Both the bruschetta and the pizza were absolutely fine in terms of consistency and taste, but the knives - I think a spoon would have been sharper :) - all in all it was okay. The price for the food plus 2 large non-alcoholic cold drinks and a double espresso is under €40 - considering the location and the reputation of the restaurant, you can definitely invest that.

I was invited to this place to eat *Italian* pizza, made by *Italians*, after waiting an hour the pizzas finally arrived. When the pizzas arrived we were disappointed by their consistency, it was basically a Pavesini cracker with cheese on top. Total disappointment to know that an Italian restaurant run by Italians can present pizzas like this at the table. I would do like Checco Zalone in the film *QUO VADO*.

We always walk and drive past the restaurant and finally went there. It's a cozy atmosphere and the people are cheerful and very friendly. Drinks and food came quickly. To accompany the bread there was also a plate for oil. Oil, vinegar, chili oil and salt are on the table. The menu is supplemented by seasonal dishes. We had tagliatelle with venison ragout and three kinds of ravioli with fish filling. A small bowl of parmesan is served with it. I am very excited. I have never eaten such delicious pasta. Payment is made in the checkout area, which I personally think is good. Especially if you pay by card. We would love to come back.

Delicious Italian with extra class service. We are regulars and go there almost every Saturday for breakfast and occasionally pizza or pasta for lunch or dinner. All dishes ordered so far have tasted excellent. Requests outside the menu are also gladly accepted and the service staff are always very friendly and fulfill any special request. In summer, the restaurant impresses with a beautiful outdoor terrace and shady spots in the backyard. The restaurant is also very cozy. Giovanni, Adrian, Giuseppe; we'll be back!!

The meat in the Vitello Tonato was very tough and thickly sliced. The pizza dough was hard and dry. A lot of dried oregano was spread on it, which changed the taste a lot.

The food was sufficient and tasted very good. The waiter either had too big a station or was disorganized. I find talking on the phone while serving people, even if it's for business purposes, to be rude and disrespectful. You also don't leave the food with the guest as you pass by, but rather look at the person concerned and at least wish you a good appetite.
