We spontaneously visited for dinner on our last day of vacation. The name of the restaurant couldn't be more apt. The food was really amazing and was served very quickly. The service was super friendly and attentive. We really liked the location in the old vault. All about an absolutely successful “happy ending”. ;) If only we had become aware of the store sooner...

We went to this restaurant by chance; the one we had previously found in iPhone maps turned out to not exist. I want to start my eulogy with the toilet in the establishment. This is very often a problem area: the food seems to be good and the service is excellent, but the toilet... A latrine. But in this restaurant, respect for visitors is also shown in the way the toilets are decorated and equipped: just like in your beloved home and for your loved one. And clean, neat, and the necessary things, like deodorant, hand cream and hairspray. Of course, I was only in the ladies' room, but from the reviews I realized that the same thing was true in the men's room. About food. It was good quality and well served. Surely, experts would find something to complain about, but I’ll leave that to the experts. Would I order again the dishes that I tried in this restaurant? No, I would rather order others. But definitely, if I happen to be in Königstein again, I know where I will have lunch - at the Happy End restaurant. I hope the service remains at the same high level!

The beer is delicious, the food is terrible. Terribly over-salted meat, which can only be eaten with plenty of liquid. It felt like the potatoes were forgotten in the deep frying - they were mummified. They returned the potatoes, tried to eat the meat, and now everyone has a stomach ache. Apparently, the amount of salt was needed to save the meat that had already gone bad. The room is stuffy, there are no tables outside. At the same time, the prices are quite high.

A very good restaurant, nice service, very good food. Highly recommended, reserve in advance. We would love to come back. We had a lovely meal with dessert, nice Meißner wine and honey whiskey.

We had dinner here several times during our vacation and can only HIGHLY recommend the restaurant!!! The food was very nicely prepared and tasted excellent! The crème brûlée was a poem! You will get great food here after a day of hiking in the beautiful Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

A super nice little restaurant, we came there by chance and it more than exceeded our expectations. Very friendly service, nice ambience, well-made menu and sensational food. We went back there the next evening and it was perfect again. Large portions, beautifully presented and a taste explosion. Although it is very hearty, it is not at all heavy on the stomach, an indication that there are only natural ingredients. A very nice restaurant with friendly service. The food tastes excellent and the portions are a pleasant size. It's also very nice that dogs are welcome. They also receive water and a small snack (if they want) without being asked.

Ser good, delicious food. Apart from the fact that the portions were a bit large, there is nothing to complain about. The food was very well seasoned and very tasty. I have rarely eaten so well. The waitress was also very nice and accommodating without being intrusive in any way. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and very clean.

The food was amazing, the service was super friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. There was a vegetarian pumpkin burger and penne with truffles and mushroom sauce. Absolutely recommended!

Stopped here to recharge your batteries after a hike. The service was attentive, nice and friendly. The dish we ordered was made by hand and tasted great because all the spices were balanced. The ambience impresses with its clear and tasteful style. The prices are fair and reasonable and lead to the conclusion: We'll be back!!!

Very great restaurant. Beautifully furnished and the very clean toilet is particularly impressive. The service staff were very friendly. But the best thing was the delicious food. We were particularly impressed by the garlic soup, prepared in a modern way. We recommend!

On the whole we were satisfied. Very nice service. Unfortunately there is no possibility to sit outside. There are slight deductions for the potatoes, which were a little overcooked. The asparagus, on the other hand, was cooked to perfection.

Service was good. The soup was a little more salty but good. Radler beer good. What was not good, however, was the main dish. Burnt potatoes/ rosti. The food doesnt make any sense. Why add sweet annas to a side of chicken? The pepper sauce was made from powder. I definitely do not recommend it if you don’t want to feel like you have a stone in your stomach after the visit.

This was the weirdest meal I've ever got on plate - Königsteiner art schnitzel or something like that. Meal itself is just a nonsense - schnitzel, cauliflower, ham, cheese and Holland sauce. It's written on the menu but I didn't expect it in such a form. OK maybe people there like this kind of bizarre food. But my schnitzel was burned, side dish was burned and cauliflower too, so I was sad about this food. I don't really understand all those 5 stars reviews. Soup was fine, servis was fine.

I don't understand how anyone can say this is the best food. Bizarre 90s combinations aside, it was burnt, greasy, and just plain disgusting. I really haven't eaten such an abomination in a long time. The only thing that was nice is the environment.

Extremely disappointing. According to the internet, open until 9 p.m. It is said locally that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. We were there late but before 8 p.m. and still didn't get anything because... I dunno... No salad, soup or anything! Absolutely weak and inflexible.

We were there for dinner with 2 families on Easter Sunday. It's been a long time since I've eaten as well and felt as comfortable as I did in the Happy End vaulted restaurant. We all had the garlic soup as a starter and the taste was just fantastic. I then ordered the steak au four as my main course and the taste was divine. When we are in the region again we would be happy to come back. Insider tip.

Wonderful end to our trip. We came with a dog and he was immediately greeted with water and treats. We've never experienced this before. The food was excellent and the service was extremely friendly. Absolute recommendation.

This is the fourth time we have been here and we always make reservations whenever we plan a vacation in Saxon Switzerland. Everything is just right here. The food is a dream - there is always something new and special, everything lovingly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is always very warm. We really didn’t understand how the reviews for the food are so high. The food is clearly not home made. The schnitzel and the sauce looked and tasted as outsourced and industrialised. For sure it doesn’t worth the money. But yes, staff was friendly and the restaurant has a nice vibe.

3 weeks ago we met for a girls' evening with a small Christmas party in the vaulted restaurant "Happy End". I deliberately chose the restaurant because I've been here several times with my husband or with friends for lunch and we've always enjoyed it very much, the staff is super nice and I also really like the ambience, it's simple comfortable there. You immediately feel comfortable. My “girls” were thrilled too. We will be back definitely.

Fazit: Ich kann mich hier nur an die Rezension von Robert Lehmann anschließen. Dieses Restaurant ist in jeglicher Hinsicht einen Besuch wert, nein, sogar ein Muss. Bedienung: Im wahrsten Sinne und ganz lieb gemeint, ein super netter "Weiberbetrieb"! Von der Bedienung zur Köchin bis zur Chefin nur Frauen, immer aufmerksam und super freundlich. Hier merkt man, das alle ihre Arbeit mit Spaß und Freude machen. Ambiente: Sehr schönes Gewölberestaurant, urig schön. Das Essen: Futtern wie bei Muttern. Die Gerichte waren absolut lecker, neu interpretiert und sehr schön angerichtet. Die Portionen waren reichlich und kein nachwürzen notwendig. Das Essen hat absolut meinen Geschmack getroffen. Bestellung: 1.Tag: Karotten - Ingwer - Suppe & Riesenkrautwickel 2.Tag: Karotten - Ingwer - Suppe & Schwarzbierbraten vom Spanferkel Preis: Die Preise waren für die Größe der Portion, Frische, Zutaten und Geschmack absolut angemessen. Karotten - Ingwer - Suppe 5,90€ Riesenkrautwickel 18,90 € Schwarzbierbraten 19,50 Sauberkeit: Sehr sauber. Bei den Herren stand auf der Toilette sogar ein Deo und eine Handcreme bereit. Allgemein: Der Beitrag spiegelt lediglich meine eigene Meinung, mein Empfinden und meinen eigenen Geschmack wieder. (Geschmäcker sind ja bekanntlich verschieden). Ich Versuche mich nicht an kleinen Dingen hochzuziehen, zu übertreiben aber auch nicht zu untertreiben. Ich vergleiche hier Äpfel mit Äpfel. Also eine gute Dorfkneipe kann ebenso volle Punktzahl erhalten wie ein Sternerestaurant!

Eine wirklich ganz wunderbare Gastronomie mit besonderem Charme in jeglicher Hinsicht! Hier ist man nicht nur persönlich, nein auch kulinarisch zurück versetzt in "Mutti's Schoß". Ohne zu übertreiben kann man von diesem Restaurant sagen das dort wirklich alles passt! Der Bedienung merkt man vom ersten Augenblick an das sie ihren Job mit Herzblut macht und das Essen ist wirklich absolute Champions League! Alles in allem, wer in Königstein ein ausgezeichnetes Essen in einem wunderbaren Ambiente möchte geht ins Happy End. Auf der Skala von 0 (sehr schlecht) bis 10 (sehr gut) ist das Happy End für mich eine 12!

Das Personal ist super freundlich und herzlich. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr ansprechend und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Alle bestellten Speisen und Getränke waren sehr schmackhaft, aber leider sind wir nicht ganz satt geworden, was man bei dem Preis schon erwartet. Das Lokal ist dennoch sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Räucherforelle ist empfehlenswert. Normalerweise würde ich 1* abziehen, weil Beilagenänderung 1€ Kosten und Ketchup auch 0,50€. Aber das Essen war zu lecker und die Bedienung steht's freundlich.

Wir kommen jedes Jahr einmal her. Das Restaurant befindet sich im Stadtkern von Königstein. Wer hier speisen möchte, sollte unbedingt reservieren. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielfältig. Jahresentsprechend gibt es auch andere Gerichte. Die Portionen sind, meines Erachtens, vollkommen ausreichend. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Eine absolute Empfehlung. Hervorragende Küche, sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal und ein ansprechendes Ambiente.

Bei einem Urlaub in Königstein haben wir das Restaurant besucht. Die Location hat uns gefallen, auch der Service war gut. Bei den Speisen hätten wir mehr Pep erwartet, sie waren nicht überzeugend obwohl es nicht schlecht war. Wir würden sagen Durchschnitt.

Leckeres Essen, gute Speisen- und Getränkeauswahl, sehr zuvorkommender Service und gemütliches Ambiente. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ebenfalls in Ordnung! Im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen Lokalitäten lässt sich hier auch mit Karte zahlen. Einziges Manko: der Küchenschluss um 20 Uhr - also ist frühes Kommen und auch eine Reservierung geraten 😉
