We visited the Zur Post restaurant today and had a truly delightful evening. I was a bit skeptical beforehand, as there were some negative reviews related to coupon books and the Schlemmerblock (sweet treats). However, we couldn't relate to these experiences at all – quite the opposite: We felt welcome from the very beginning. The service was attentive and friendly, the food plentiful and very tasty. The grilled meats and side dishes were perfectly prepared, and the meat and side dishes were of good quality and extremely filling. The salad buffet for the side salad was also fresh, well-stocked, and offered a nice selection. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit, with both the food and service excellent. We'd love to come back!

We visited the beautiful Gaststätte zur Post in the idyllic village of Eicherscheid near Bad Münstereifel – and what can we say: It was simply perfect all around! The food was an absolute delight – whether it was schnitzel, a grilled platter, or the children's plate – everything was freshly prepared, generously portioned, and of the highest quality. You can tell that the food is cooked with love! The stunning hospitality deserves special mention. We received such a warm welcome that you felt at home from the very first moment. This inn is a dream for families with children – extremely child-friendly and attentive. Our little one was well looked after, which is something you really can't take for granted these days. The cozy ambience perfectly rounded off the visit – traditional, lovingly decorated, and with true Eifel charm. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend this house to everyone!

Hello dear readers, the voucher book led us to Eicherscheid. The ambiance is functional and clean, but the service was unmotivated and curt. The drinks were carelessly placed on the table. When ordering food, we pulled out the voucher book. The kitchen specifically mentioned the voucher book order when ordering, and so the portions were presented carelessly and meagerly, less, at the other tables. The staff's motivation sank further and further. The food portions were small and carelessly presented. The salad buffet looked like it had been left yesterday and was quite grubby. The meat tasted musty and some parts were undercooked. The rice was cold and poorly seasoned. Unfortunately, no one even asked if everything was "OK." After the first drink, there was no second one; the server didn't feel the need to bring anything to the table. Conclusion about the dinner: Once and never again!

We stopped in there spontaneously yesterday while passing through and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. I had a fish stew with mussels, fish fillet, and shrimp in a delicious tomato-vegetable broth. It came with a baguette, which was so, so delicious. My husband had the stuffed minced steak and was also very, very satisfied. After dinner, we had a nightcap. Perfect Sunday evening♡ We'll definitely be back♡ Rita & Georg

There were seven of us there. The food was really bad. The rice was cold, the cevapcici looked like it had been reheated three times, and it tasted that way, too. The pepper sauce on the steak was inedible. Strangely, the food at the regulars' restaurants looked much better. Once and never again

We were a group of 8 people. The rice was completely cold, the meat was partially burnt and dry. Some of the meat tasted and looked like it had been warmed up. After we mentioned it, no improvements were made. The argument was that it was the chef's first day. When it came to billing, he didn't want to do the math in pairs and put the calculator on the table for us, saying that we should calculate it ourselves. None of us can even begin to understand the positive reviews!

A super-nice little place...you should make a reservation in advance. We were lucky enough to get a table for 5 1/2 people, and that was on a Sunday at 5 p.m. The restaurant seems to be very popular. The food and portions are excellent value for money. A nice selection of dishes. Just go there and try it for yourself.

My plate looked like a leftover plate. No decoration, the eye eats with it. Loveless. Too bad. We don't have much to go to here, definitely not there anymore. I'm totally disappointed. Too bad. It was already better.

Unfortunately the food doesn't taste good at all, it was the first time we ate there and unfortunately we were more than disappointed. Grill plate looks like fried and not grilled meat, still raw inside, the rice that comes with it doesn't taste like anything except the peas it contains... The salad platter with “seasonal salad” consists of iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber, without any spices or flavor. Almost outrageous for the price-performance ratio.

We spontaneously ate here this evening after the restaurant was recommended to us several times. We both had steak. The cooking point was hit perfectly. However, in our opinion the portions could be a bit larger. When we left we had the feeling that we weren't really full.

Four of us were here for dinner. The atmosphere is quite appealing, the service is super friendly and quick. Everything was perfect here. There is a salad buffet for every dish, which we liked because everyone could take what they liked. The selection was good. The starter plate wasn't quite as expected, unfortunately anchovies, capers and olives are served from a can/jar. The bread was okay and the tuna cream was also delicious. The main courses were all very good. The price-performance ratio is right here. Overall, it's quite cheap here, the seating is nice and the operators are close to the guests. We liked that. We'd love to come back.

Very friendly. There is a daily menu for lunch, where a homemade soup is brought before the main course and you can pick up a salad from the buffet. The menu is rustic with tasty dishes.

Disappointed, it was our first time there! Even though the staff was very friendly, it doesn't change the fact that I can't recommend this restaurant. Everything tasted very bland (no spices or salt) among other things, the ground beef ( pljeskavica ) was still raw inside, without salt and didn't look like it was grilled, more like it was cooked! There were still big red lumps in there that were tough. The Djuveč rice didn't taste like anything except the peas. At the salad buffet, the corn was brown and the carrots were fermented and tasted of alcohol. It was noticeable that I didn't like the ground beef, but even frying it didn't help. Pure ground beef just doesn't taste good. The current bad reviews here from the last few months are justified.

We were disappointed on our last visit. We were assigned a table. It took longer for someone to come to take an order. At first he didn't have a card with him. We picked something to drink and eat and ordered. The food came about 1 hour later. The portion was rare and the meat wasn't that good. We'll give it another chance and then decide whether it's still worth eating there.

It just doesn't taste the same as it did with the previous owners. The sauces are a disaster! The meat (steak for example) is tough. When will a chef finally come along who knows something about gastronomy and tasty preparation? I used to love eating there, but now I absolutely don't. Such a shame!!

Trotz eisiger Temperatur konnten wir draußen sitzen und wurden bedient mit herrlichem Wein

Gemütlich, bisher immer gut gegessen, Inhabergeführt würde ich sagen - kroatisch - gastfreundlich - nett.

Wir waren dort fünfmal Essen, es war immer super lecker. Der frische Fisch wird an den Tisch gebracht und man kann sich diesen aussuchen, ein Gedicht. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und immer aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Es ist immer eine Freude dort Essen zu gehen, immer wieder gerne.

Das ist ein kleines Balkan Restaurant mit familieärem Flair. Freundliche Bedienung und sehr gutem Mittagstisch für kleines Geld. Gern wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen von Vorspeise bis zur Nachspeise. Vorspeise Garnelen in Knoblauch Sahne Sauce sehr sehr lecker und zu empfehlen. Hauptgang Wiener Schnitzel sehr lecker und frisch. Und Nachspeise der Palattschinken war auch sehr gut. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute dort und es war köstlich. Wir hatten Steak mit Trüffel, meine Tochter Kroketten/Fritten mit Jäger Soße. Als Nachtisch Palatschinken und meine Tochter einen Eis Becher. Frische Zutaten, schnelle Zubereitung. Super freundliche Bedienung. 1A!! Wir kommen gerne nochmal wieder!!

Günstiges Mittagsmenü mit durchschnittlichen Speisen

Hier gibt es sehr gutes Essen zu guten Preisen! Besonders zu empfehlen ist die Tageskarte. Dort findet man Gerichte um die 10 Euro und dazu kann man sich einen schönen Salat als Vorspeise zusammenstellen und eine frische Vorsuppe vom Rind. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Hier würde gerne wieder essen gehen.
