Gaststätte Zur alten Post in Tholey

The food is very good, we order there regularly for smaller events (birthdays, baptisms, communions)

We had booked a table for 12:30 p.m. The food arrived at 2:15 p.m. The schnitzel was burnt and the steak was tough and dry. We will never visit this restaurant again.

Very nice hotel, comfortable room with balcony. You can't leave the window open at night, so your neighbor can easily walk into your room - the room was clean. Unfortunately, the breakfast didn't impress me. The pancakes were a bit dry and didn't seem fresh, and the bacon was quite greasy and not crispy. The egg dishes were also not very tasty - the scrambled eggs were overcooked and the fried egg was almost cold. The salmon wasn't particularly good in terms of quality, and the overall presentation was rather lackluster. For the price, I would have expected fresher preparation and a bit more care.

Cozy village pub, friendly service

I highly recommend this place. The service and food are excellent. The Ziegelhütte is recommended both for dining out and for groups. Reservations are essential.
