Gaststätte "Zum Wingert" in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe

You can't understand the many very good reviews. These people have probably never been to a real restaurant before?? To put it briefly, the shop is OK for a bar/cafe but can't call itself a restaurant! Prices like in a restaurant but quality is fast food. We had a schnitzel with fries and salad for 15.90 and a Cheeseburger XXL with fries. Drinks are expensive! 0.2 Fanta 3.40 Bitter Lemon 3.90! Apparently everything was freshly made from scratch. Only the burger was homemade, the schnitzel was ready, the schnitzel, the sauce was also ready. But it still tasted good, salad was good overall but the price is too expensive. Service was ok, friendly. Overall we would give a 3.5 for food and service. Price performance is more like 3 but now here's the thing... There are no real toilets, you have to go through a stairwell to the basement! the toilets were nightmare! Like a train station toilet! Dirty and congested! In addition, the tables are monitored by cameras! That doesn't work at all! That's why only two stars! We wouldn't come here again.

Food was good with a great atmosphere. It was a bit cold that evening.

Lovely little House/Cafe with delicious Cakes -home made and Coffee. You can go for a lovely walk in the park before or after your visit

Improvemt is needed. Food is ok but on the mini side.

You just have to try it out. VERY VERY TASTY you can just taste the quality, especially with the meat. TOP we'll be back :-)
