Gaststätte "Zum Wingert" in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe

Last weekend we went to Komische Schorsch's for goose dinner. The geese were cooked to perfection, crispy yet tender – superbly done. The side dishes were also very good; the field salad with its fantastic dressing was particularly delicious. The service was – as always – very friendly and attentive. All in all, excellent!

The restaurant looked a bit run-down from the outside. Walking in, we noticed that nothing had been renovated since the 70s, but we were really hungry, so we sat down. The drinks came quickly, as no one seemed to be doing anything. (Three employees were standing together at the bar when we walked in.) The apple wine wasn't tasty, and we had to order water separately for the sauerkraut. When the schnitzel arrived, we were each given a plate with only two schnitzels. When we asked if they came with fries, the waitress snapped, "Sure, if only I had four arms!" The fries arrived, but we had to order ketchup/mayo separately (at no extra cost). The schnitzel tasted a 3/10. We left immediately after eating; an hour later, we felt extremely sick and our stomachs were churning.

We chose the Golfhaus as the venue for my mother's 90th birthday celebration. To sum it up: Everything—from the initial contact, through the preparation of the offer, the tasting, changes, and the execution of the celebration—was simply perfect. The food (which was prepared entirely according to our special requests due to an allergy) was of outstanding quality, as were the wines. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was beautiful. Furthermore, the team accommodated us for a private party on their usual day off. Thank you for this wonderful day. We'll be back!

You simply have to try it. VERY, VERY TASTY! You can really taste the quality, especially in the meat. TOP! We'll be back :-)
