A very cozy, long-established restaurant with a lot of charm. Very welcoming, and the owner is fantastic. She welcomed us with open arms and treated us very well. We'll be back.

It's nice that there is a restaurant like this in Velbert. In the style of the 80s you can enjoy simple dishes with delicious fried potatoes or delicious potato salad. Be it chops, brawn and herring, Russian egg and meatloaf - very tasty. Price and performance are right here.

The lady is completely overwhelmed with three meals. You want to get up and serve yourself, since she's the only one in the restaurant and the kitchen seems to be in the basement.

Nice atmosphere, the owner is a real character and has been in the family for three generations. The food is very reasonably priced and, above all, "homemade," delicious, and in normal portions. I would choose it over any fast food restaurant!!!

Gaststätte Veith. Eine der letzten, echten, alten Gaststätten in Velbert. Der Besuch ist eine Reise in die Vergangenheit. Rücksprung in die 60 er und 70er.Bestuhlung, Tische, Lampen, frisch gebohnerter Parkettfußboden alles aus dieser Zeit. Die Wirtin eine geborene Veith ist sozusagen: Die Letzte Ihres Standes. Und: Alles wie geleckt, blitze blanke sauber und top gepflegt. Unbedingt besuchen solange es das noch gibt! Allein die Speisekarte zu lesen ist ein Genuß! Hier gibt es noch die typischen Gerichte wie es sie früher in den Eckgaststätten gegeben hat: Russische Eier, Brühwurst mit Kartoffelsalat, Lachsschnittchen mit Ei, Portion Eisbein mit Kartoffeln und das Beste: Warmes Kotelett mit hausgemachten Kartoffelsalat, wie es ihn früher in den Kneipen gab, Kartoffeln, Mayonnaise, bisschen Zwiebel, bisschen Ei. Fertig. Lecker. Unbedingt probieren. Für alle die nicht wissen was russische Eier sind: Das ist eine Portion Kartoffelsalat mit 3 -4 halben hart gekochten Eiern oberndrauf und worauf meistens ein wenig billiger schwarzer salziger Kaviarersatz drapiert wurde. Ein tolles Essen zu Bier und Korn.....
