Even though the restaurant was packed, the landlady still made sure we got a seat. The meal that followed was fantastic. The service was excellent, attentive, and very friendly! Highly recommended, but unlike us, you should reserve a table in advance!

We walked in, immediately got greeted by a great server! He was so nice and kind, very helpful and helped us translate the menu (unfortunately not English). However the food was AMAZING! We ordered schnitzels and had some drinks. It was SO flavourful and hot. I really suggest coming here if you’re on your way from Poland to Germany or vice versa! Great stop and great food.

Homemade and freshly prepared. Seasonal and local cuisine. Highly recommended! With a main course, salad, a few large beers, and herbal schnapps, we spent a lovely evening together at a fair price.

If you like deep-fried food, it's definitely fine. Fried potatoes were the only good thing. Chanterelle soup was from a packet or with artificial flavor enhancer. Portions were rather small. Wait time was almost an hour. The cook was alone, though, so that's understandable. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

After a long absence, we returned to the "Stadt Dresden" restaurant for dinner today. We had made a reservation by phone as a precaution, but today (June 10, 2025) it wouldn't have been necessary, as the number of guests was manageable after Pentecost and the inclement weather. The service was friendly, unobtrusive, and customer-oriented. The food (e.g., schnitzel with fresh asparagus) was freshly prepared and very tasty 😋. The dining room is rustic but cozy, and the restrooms are clean. Overall, we highly recommend it! 👍

We stayed here with our family because the hotel unfortunately didn't serve dinner. The staff is truly very friendly and accommodated our special requests. The food was always incredibly delicious and prepared with love. When we're back in Cottbus, we'll definitely stop by again.

Totally delicious food. You can sit outside on the back terrace. Very friendly service, value for money is great. Gladly again! Update: were back on March 28th. here, in times of staff shortages and increases in purchasing prices, inflation, etc. Nevertheless, the lovely service employees remain loyal to the “City of Dresden”!! Where others prefer to sit a hole in the couch at home, these waiters work there in the 2nd AV. ... throwing the whole evening alone with a full hut! Everything is right, a personal word, a smile despite these circumstances. Everyone is treated equally friendly, whether they are regular guests or, like us, from distant Mecklenburg. The food was again excellent and special requests are always catered for. And if grandma takes longer to eat😉, there will be a second or third one. just asked if everything fits! It was just beautiful! We'd love to come back!

Located away from the mainstream of the old town, this restaurant impresses with its personal service and excellent food. A small but fine menu that impresses. The different schnitzel variations are simply spectacular. The price-performance ratio is right. Gladly again at any time! And that too after the second visit after a year.

We arrived there with great expectations and even greater hunger. The sun terrace kept its word and seemed ruthless. As a result, the thirst was great. After the first beer and cyclist, unfortunately no one came....

We were only there after the kitchen had closed, but we still got a very tasty mushroom soup. The lady who served us was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you again for the fast and friendly service.

We were there for the first time on August 20, 2024 and it was just great. Rarely have I had such a good onion roast and the fried potatoes with it were also great. My wife and little one were also super happy and the service was very, very nice and accommodating. So of course we had to go there again on the last evening before we left and it was just like the day before.😊 You leave this restaurant full and with a smile and that's how it has to be. Class instead of quantity! Very good German cuisine, always garnished with that certain something. Ambience rustic and cozy. Very, very nice, competent service. Waiting time is okay, especially worth it for the good quality at a reasonable price. The different schnitzel variants alone (many lovingly stuffed by hand) ensure that we will definitely come back!

Die gefüllten Schnitzel sind einfach der Hammer! Und ich habe noch nie so gute Bratkartoffeln gegessen! Alles frisch zubereitet, daher auch entsprechend etwas längere Wartezeit. Bedienung aufmerksam, zugänglich, humorvoll. Preise sind auch top! Wir sind am Folgeabend gleich nochmal eingekehrt und wurden wieder nicht enttäuscht! Gemütliche, urige Atmosphäre, 100 jährig in Familienhänden. Sehr zu empfehlen!

This pub/restaurant simply deserves a visit because the price/performance ratio is right and the two nice waitresses had everything under control and were very friendly and willing to have a nice chat. They understood everyone's fun, even if it was very busy and the stress was obvious, they always said nice things. Drinks and food were simply delicious 😋 😋 We would be happy to come back and recommend them to others, because places like this have to live on. Just keep it up, you're a great team

The best place in Cottbus for traditional German cuisine. Fresh !! No frozen food!! Best craftsmanship. Highly Recommended . The asparagus weeks are also highly recommended. Here the asparagus is not cooked to death. Yummy

If you are in Cottbus, you should definitely take the time and visit this pub/restaurant. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer of these traditional “old” pubs/restaurants. The prices are absolutely fine. I'm looking forward to my next visit in May and especially to the asparagus menu.

For years there has been an annual meeting with former colleagues. Friendly service and super delicious food (real home cooking) at top prices. On weekends it is advisable to reserve a table. 100% recommendation

Nice restaurant with very good food. There is German regional cuisine. If you love schnitzel, you'll get your money's worth here. The portions are good and the prices are perfectly reasonable. My wife had the onion roast and absolutely loved it. The meat was perfectly cooked and delicious.

Eine sehr, sehr schöne Stadt. Viele tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten. Unbedingt zu empfehlen ist eine Führung in der Frauenkirche und in der Semperoper. Ebenso ausgezeichnet ist das Residenzschloss in der Altstadt. Leider habe ich aus zeitlichen Gründen (Verkehrsinfarkt mit einem dreistündigen Stau am Anreisetag in Ostwestfalen Lippe und Schaumburg Lippe) nur ein Teil vom Residenzschloss gesehen. Die Altstadt ist mit ihren prachtvollen Bauten sehr sehenswert. Der Christmas Garden im Schloss Pilitz ist auf jeden Fall auch zu empfehlen. Bedauerlicherweise spielte das Wetter bei dem Besuch im Christmas Garden nicht mit. Interessant ist auch der Kulturpalast mit seinen riesigen Schaufenstern mit Blick auf den Altmarkt. Das Cafe im Kulturpalast (öffentlicher Bereich und Sitz der Philharmonie) ist ein schöner Ort, um den alten Markt von oben zu bestaunen. Dresden hat eine sehr vielfältige Gastronomie und gastronomische Betriebe mit Stil. Es gibt viele schöne Weihnachtsmärkte. Probiert die Kräpfelchen (dünne Teigtaschen mit Zimt oder Nutella überzogen). Ich komme auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder. Aber im Sommer. Eine Fahrt auf der Elbe, der Besuch des Zwingers, ein konzertliches Besuch in der Semperoper und der restliche Teil vom Residenzschloss stehen noch auf der To Do Liste. Übrigens: Dresden ist eine Touristenstadt mit multikulturellen Besuchern.

Als Dresdner müssten wir natürlich Mal in die Stadt Dresden zu Essen vorbeischauen... Nach telefonischer Rücksprache konnten wir relativ kurzfr. vorbeikommen, es wurden drei Plätze reserviert. Es war rappelvoll... Essen einfach Klasse👍: Spreewaldschnitzel👍, Zigeunerschnitzel👍, Hamburger Schnitzel👍. Bedienung inkl. Service Top👍. Kommen gerne wieder. Macht weiter so.😊👍

Kann nur sagen, super war es hier. Haben einen kurz Urlaub in der alten Heimat gemacht und hier gibt es wirklich super leckere Bügerliche Küche. Der Service ist auch sehr nett und freundlich 😊 💁‍♀️

Wir hatten mit der Kegelrunde am Wochenende in Cottbus für Freitagabend einen Tisch für 10 Personen bestellt. Was soll ich sagen, wir waren alle begeistert. Sehr schönes Ambiente, super freundliche Bedienung und ein hervorragendes Essen. Wir haben verschiedene Gerichte bestellt, es hat allen sehr gemundet. Die Getränke waren auch sehr lecker und bekömmlich. Wenn wir mal wieder in Cottbus sind, wird das Lokal erneut unsere erste Station sein. Absolut einen Besuch wert.

Eine Urige Kneipe mit lecker Hausmannskost. Sie ist nah am Bahnhof gelegen. Wir waren spontan da und bekamen noch ein Plätzchen am Tresen.
