Gaststätte Schützenhaus in Welzheim

We (my wife, my son (4), and I) spontaneously stopped by the Schützenhaus restaurant after a visit to Schwaben-Park, and we were absolutely delighted! The service was super warm and friendly, the food was simply delicious, and my son also loved everything. The schnitzel was simply delicious, and the spaetzle with sauce were just as they should be. The ambiance (we sat outside) was just what rounded off the day perfectly. Quiet and simply cozy. Dear Schützenhaus team, thank you so much for the perfect end to the evening. We will definitely visit you again :)

We were just there and had roast beef with onions, absolutely delicious! The ambiance and the great service are also highly recommended; all in all, top-notch! I highly recommend it.

The ambiance is unique, a mix of rustic wood and romantic modernity. It's very clean, and you feel right at home. We had medium roast beef with onions and fried potatoes and spaetzle. The food was divine. Highly recommended! But it's important to reserve a table! Even for two, because word has already spread that the food is delicious! We'll be back!

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner after our visit to Schwabenpark, and it was definitely the right choice. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and I'd especially like to emphasize their child-friendliness. We felt very comfortable there. All I can say about the food is that it was super delicious and the portions were really good. We'll definitely go back if we're in the area.

Beautiful location, food really good, just like it used to be. What really annoyed me, though, is that the prices on the menu don't really have much in common with those advertised online. All dishes are about 20 percent more expensive. They can't be old, since they're advertising a reopening. So please correct this as soon as possible, otherwise it's not just the food that's off-putting.

No, we arrived at 8 p.m. There were several dogs on the terrace; we had our two with us too. Their reaction was "uh oh... what do you want?" The reaction was due to the breed of our dogs. We got a table for two. The staff left for a moment and then came back with the statement: The kitchen is closed! We walked to our camper and drove past the kitchen, which is right at the front of the restaurant, and the chef was still busy cooking. A restaurant that serves its guests based on prejudices can really only be given 0 stars.

It was truly delicious there, and the prices are definitely reasonable. I highly recommend it and will definitely keep it in mind. You might even want to make a reservation, as the two of us got the last free table. All the others were reserved, which speaks volumes about the restaurant.

The food may be good according to other reviews, but unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it. The terrace was well-occupied, but there were still a few free tables. There were also guests with dogs. However, when we stepped onto the terrace with our two dogs, we were greeted with, after one look at our dogs, "oh oh... oh oh... what do you want?" We asked for a table for two. The server went inside and came back with the statement that "there was no more kitchen." That was at 8 p.m., and the restaurant is apparently open until 11 p.m. 🤔 Shame on anyone who thinks otherwise 😝 Either they don't want people with tattoos there, or it was because of the breed of our two puppies 🤷‍♀️ If you don't want either of these, or a combination of these prejudicial appearances, as guests, then the best thing to do is put up a no-guess sign at the entrance. At least that way, as a "victim," you wouldn't look quite so stupid and stunned... Well, we ended up "spending" our money at another restaurant in Welzheim. We were greeted very warmly there, and the food was really good 😊 So, actually, zero stars for the Schützenhaus restaurant in Welzheim 👎🏻

Finally reopened after repairing the flood damage. Food as delicious as ever😋 The renovation has changed a lot: now very modern and chic furnishings, new floors, new toilets, ...

Very good German cuisine at a fair price and without flavor enhancers. You don't have to wait long and the service is friendly. Children are welcome guests.

A really great meal, I haven't eaten so well for a long time. A really big compliment to the kitchen and also to the very nice conversation. We'll definitely come back.

We were at the Schützenhaus at Pentecost, we had the roast venison and the pork medallions, both with extremely delicious hand-scraped spaetzle. Delicious. Upon request, we were given additional cranberries. The side salad was good, the meat was good too. The atmosphere is special, not necessarily my thing, but the food was really good. The service was attentive and friendly. Great Pinot Gris - very drinkable. Thank you for the good hospitality!

Family-run inn with very tasty regional cuisine.

The roast is a blast: apart from the perfectly hung meat, it's crispy on the outside (!) but at the same time perfectly medium rare on the inside! Big compliments to the chef! P.s.: how did he manage that? I would love to know that as a hobby chef 😂

The Schützenhaus in Welzheim is a really good address for everyone who likes to enjoy Swabian home cooking. The food is really top notch and really tasty. The side dishes are always perfectly prepared. There are always perfect fries and spaetzle here. The meat dishes are really tasty. The service couldn't be better. Added to this is the beautiful decoration. We now eat here regularly. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. I've never had such good takeaway food. The packaging is so good that even the fries are really tasty. I'm excited. 1A.

Lecker und gemütlich wie immer.

Super nice, despite very short-term planning, we got 2 roast roasts and a cordon bleu at half past ten. Everything was very tasty and rich. Service very nice. Gladly and definitely again.

This restaurant deserves more than 10 stars. The food was delicious and the team was incredibly kind. We always enjoy coming back. Thanks to everyone

Wir waren mehr als verblüfft als wir hier durch Zufall hin kamen. Ich würde dem Service und der Küche gern 10 Punkte geben. Gut Bürgerliche Küche ist untertrieben…wir saßen auf der Terasse, die Chefin eine hinreisende nette, aufgeschlossene tolle Frau die ihren Job mehr als versteht! Die Kinder haben sich sofort wohlgefühlt. Dann kam das Essen, die Kässpätzle waren mit leckeren krossen Käse und die Spätzle Handgeschabt und so wie sie sein müssen, ich habe solch kässpätzle noch nie gegessen (nicht matschig oder pampig) leichte luftige kässpätzle…muss man einfach selbst probieren, aber auch das Fleich alles auf den Punk, zart Medium ist Medium und die Zwiebeln kross. Die Kroketten selbst gemacht so wie alles andere auch!!! Fazit sie haben uns als Stammkunden!!

Nach einem Tag im Schwabenpark nach was in der Nähe gesucht und fündig geworden. Super nette Leute und super leckeres Essen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend. Vielen Dank dafür. Das Essen war super lecker,das Personal total nett und herzlich. Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert.

War zum ersten mal dort, das Essen war hervorragend. Die Terasse lädt zum verweilen ein und der Service war erstklassig. Hatte das Teufels Cordon Bleu, sehr zu empfehlen. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Von mir volle Punktzahl.

Sehr schönes, etwas im Wald verstecktes Restaurant. Hinter dem Haus ist noch ein Biergarten, in dem man seine Ruhe hat und die Natur genießen kann. Die Bedienungen sind sehr aufmerksam und stets freundlich. Man fühlt sich hier richtig wohl. Es gibt wechselnde Tagesgerichte und zusätzlich eine kleine Speisekarte. Vegetarier haben hier zwar keine große Auswahl, aber wer fragt, bekommt auch etwas. Das Essen schmeckt super und ist preislich top. Ich kann dieses Restaurant bedenkenlos empfehlen.

Für eine Vereinsgaststätte etwas zu teuer . Das Essen ist durchschnittlich.

Wir waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden und der Service war auch aufmerksam und taff. Bin über Internet auf dieses Restaurant gestossen, was eine gute Entscheidung war. Parkplätze auch ausreichend vorhanden.

Ich kann meinen Vorrednern nur zustimmen. Definitiv die beste Adresse in Welzheim und Umgebung. Sehr leckeres Essen und zuvorkommende Gastgeber, die kein Wunsch offen lassen. Was will man mehr?

Ich habe schon sehr lange nicht so gut Deutsch gegessen. Ich hatte die Knusper Pute nur zu empfehlen. Personal sehr sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Deutsche Küche 10/10 !!! Sehr leckere und frisch zubereitete Gerichte werden hier serviert. Bin öfter im Restaurant und muss ehrlich gestehen, dass ich mich immer wieder aufs Neue wie ein kleines Kind auf das Essen freue! Das Personal ist super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Zudem lässt es sich auf der Terrasse an wärmeren Tagen super aushalten. Immer wieder ein Genuss ! Wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Die Wirtsleute sind stets freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch Vegetarier kommen hier auf ihre Kosten: Das Sellerieschnitzel hat Kult-Status!! Leckere, frisch zubereitete gemischte Salate vom schwäbischen Kartoffelsalat bis zum Sprossen-Topping - alles dabei.
