Five stars because of the atmosphere. I love the vibe of the restaurant. It’s extremely cozy and you feel like you’re at home. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food here is also absolutely delicious and the servings are pretty large! Perfect for after a day of climbing in Franken!

BE CAREFUL when paying by card, something can go wrong and as a SINGLE GUEST the food will be charged twice. If you complain, you will get the excess money debited back as a GOOD PAYMENT and you will be rude via email pointed out that you shouldn't contact us any further and take up their time.

A great place for a break on a motorcycle tour or for a walk. In general, the Kleinziegenfelder Valley is highly recommended.

Very nice beer garden with partial/self-service in the middle of Franconian Switzerland in a wonderful setting. You sit comfortably under the trees by the (usually dry) stream. Good selection of local brewing specialties and a small, varied menu. The portions are generous and the price is very, very good. Since it is a well-attended excursion restaurant, places are always rare and reservations cannot be made. But you can always find a cozy place...

Nice beer garden, prices okay. Incredibly unfriendly host. We have a restaurant ourselves, I wouldn't dream of treating a guest like that.

Great location to stop off after a hike. Very nice atmosphere. Very busy - you have to be lucky to get a spot. The only shame is that you are not served and always have to queue for food and drinks yourself. At least the food will be brought to your table. We had burgers, schnitzel and a steak and it was all excellent and inexpensive. Clear recommendation - we would love to come back.

What an atmosphere!...super cozy beer garden, really idyllic. Price-performance ratio is great, you can see that there is another way.The people are really tasty. The conditions could be a bit friendlier, but we don't want to overestimate that when the beer garden is full.

Very nice and clocky beer garden. Friendly service. The food is awesome. My schnitzel was just right, the meat was thick and super juicy. The pizza dough and toppings were very tasty. The burger was also amazing. The desserts are a dream. I'd love to come back.

The food is always very good. The prices are good and there is always a good atmosphere. On sunny days, a high influx of guests can be expected. Although you have to be lucky to get a spot under an umbrella even when it rains. The portions are always very large!

Absolutely outrageous behavior from all employees and especially from the owner. We only wanted the fries without paprika powder due to a severe allergy. We were insulted when we thought of making such “big” demands and we should look for another restaurant. If you have allergies of any kind, you'd better choose another restaurant to eat in because the way people with allergies are treated here is really appalling.

Fair prices, very tasty food, good beer and pleasant to sit. Self-service, but the main courses are brought to you. Cake is not on the menu, but it is available (and tastes incredibly good). A little gem of a beer garden. Some people might find it annoying that there is little “classic” Franconian beer garden food, but mostly burgers and pizza. I had no problem with that. There are plenty of options for vegetarians.

Simply great…found here after a long search! Absolute recommendation, service great, food simply fantastic, great menu, good seasonal menu! Prices are incredibly good.

Very tasty food. In the summer there is a large beer garden with a really nice atmosphere. There isn't that much space inside, so you have to make a reservation. But totally comfortable. Always happy to come back.

we were hiking in the area and wanted to have a beer at this place. The staff said they had a full house . We said we can have the beer outside but the bartender said no. He was very rude too. There was another group, unfortunately they had the very same experience.

Wow, people still enjoy eating here! We went to the Schrepfersmühle with our two-year-old son and dog based on a recommendation. We were very hungry and ordered a starter plate with grilled vegetables and feta and could hardly believe our eyes when the huge portion arrived (we weren't expecting that much given the price). After the portion we were almost full, but we had ordered two pizzas. It was clear to us: we would have a pizza packed up to take away. We shared the other one. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable and we can only recommend the mill. Also very good in taste. In summer the outside area must be really lovely (we were there in March and sat inside).

Very, very rustic location with a very committed team. The food is excellent, yet very moderately priced. Very nice intermediate or final stop for hikers and cyclists. The Schrepfersmühle is particularly impressive because of the very loving interior and exterior furnishings in the middle of an already very beautiful natural landscape. Definitely worth a visit!

Perfect lunch, really good prices and quality/quantity food. Cordon Bleu was great and the pizza is really tasty (I'm Italian) espresso 1€. You can pay with card. Definitely recommend. I'll be back for sure.

Die Location und das Ambiente ist echt klasse - das Ziegenfeldertal darf da in seiner besten Seite glänzen. Wenn da nicht die fränkische Mürrigkeit wäre. Von Ignorieren, bis "was wollt's da? Wir machen erst in einer Stund' auf." haben wir schon alles erlebt - auch mal einen guten Tag der Besitzer*Innen. Dennoch, ich find's schad - dass die Mürrische Art dann doch überwiegt. Hat's uns in der Summe dann immer mal wieder versauert. Wir können drüber schmunzeln als Franken, aber sein muss es eigentlich echt nicht. Passiert dann doch zu oft und für eine hochfrequentierte touristische Ecke ist das mir dann schlicht fehl am Platz. Das Essen ist aber schlicht grandios und einzigartig in der Umgebung - ansonsten ist in Ziegenfeld noch die lokale, Wildküche sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren an der Schrepfersmühle Wandern und sind anschließend dort eingekehrt. Die Terasse ist wirklich sehr schön und einladend. Es gibt eine tolle Essensauswahl. Salat, Nudeln, Burger, Pizza, Tiramisu und Pannacotta waren an unserem Tisch vorhanden. Alles sah nicht nur lecker aus, sondern hat auch toll geschmeckt. Ob Fisch, Fleisch oder Vegetarisch, jeder wird hier fündig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Super leckeres Essen! Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis unschlagbar. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienungen. Das Essen kam sehr schnell ohne langes Warten! Total schönes Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. Einen erneuten Besuch wert! Weiter so 👍🏻

Ganz hervorragende Wirtschaft mit einem wunderschönen Garten, in dem man dank Wärmelampen und überdachten Sitzengelegenheiten mit Vorhängen auch im Oktober noch außen sitzen kann. Wirklich überzeugende neapolitanische Pizzen, aber auch die Klassiker waren hervorragend. Mehr als 4 Biere vom Fass runden alles ab. Perfekt nach einer Wanderung 👌🏻

Weit und breit scheinbar das einzig offene Restaurant. Hauptsächlich ein großer, gemütlicher Biergarten mit guter Speisekarte.

Wirklich außerordentlich, in allen Punkten! Besseres Essen muss man in der Umgebung erst mal suchen. Neben gut bürgerlich sind auch ein paar gut platzierte Exoten dabei. Der Service ist spitzenmäßig. Hier stellt man sich gerne zum Bestellen an, wenn die Speisen dann teilweise bereits nach 15 Minuten von einer freundlichen, gut gelaunten Bedienung serviert werden (und das bei rappelvollem Biergarten!). Ambiente ebenfalls schwer zu übertreffen! Vor allem an heißen Sommertagen sitzt man hier im kühlen Traumbiergarten unter großen Bäumen. Macht weiter so!

Auf vielfache Empfehlung haben wir uns heute selbst ein Bild gemacht. Die Lokation ist schön gelegen und auch schön arrangiert. Die Chefin ist sehr ruppig bei Nachfragen, antwortete schroff „steht doch in der Karte“. Die Speisen sind gut aber nicht außergewöhnlich, sodass ich unbedingt nochmal einen Besuch planen würde. Das preisliche Niveau ist fair, und die Mädels im Service freundlich und flott.

Sehr leckeres Essen und günstig. Der Mann an der Tresse könnte etwas mal ab und zu lachen. Das mach dann erst 5 Sterne 😃

Urlaubsfeeling pur, ein schöner Biergarten sehr günstig gelegen und ein guter Ort um einen perfekten Abschluss für einen tollen Abend zu finden. Die Qualität der Speisen und Getränke ist sehr gut und alles zu sehr annehmbaren Preisen.

Dieses Lokal ist sehr idyllisch gelegen. Bei meinem Besuch sehr gut besucht. Ich war darüber etwas überrascht. Andererseits ideales Wetter für die Schrepfersmühle. Das Lokal und das Ambiente ist einfach stimmig. Gemütlich, genussfreudig. Der technische Ablauf praktisch. Was mir heute besonders positiv auffiel .. meine bestelltes Essen "Nudeln mit Garnelen"... das waren mit die besten Nudeln, die ich in unserer Region gegessen habe. "al dente" auf die Sekunde, hervorragend lecker gewürzt, richtig frisch gekocht heiß. Ich bin mit euphorischen Äusserungen beim Essen eher "nüchtern", aber hier ... ich werde mir die wieder gönnen.

Extrem gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis,sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen und wunderschöne Location,jedoch scheint mir das Personal etwas unterbesetzt zu sein was zu stress und Hektik unterdem Personal führt. Alles im allem absolut empfehlenswert und ich werde gerne wiederkommen

Wer noch nicht hier war, hat viel versäumt. Diverse hochgradig gute Biere und eine außergewöhnliche Speisekarte zeichnen diese Lokalität aus.

wirklich sehr goldig, idyllisch im Tal gelegen. wären die Toiletten besser in Schuss, hätte es 5 Sterne 🌟 gegeben. Ansonsten ist alles wunderbar, das Essen einwandfrei und auch ordentliche Portionsgrößen.

Wir sind super gerne hier. Leckeres, preiswertes Essen, tolle Lage mitten in der Fränkischen Schweiz, alles sehr liebevoll angelegt und dekoriert und ein paar Tiere kann man dort auch finden :-) Absolut empfehlenswert

Sehr gutes Essen in einem wunderschönen Biergarten. Mit Kindern ideal, weil Spielplatz und Tiere. Vielseitige Speisekarte und verschiedene Biere aus der fränkischen Schweiz. Im Biergarten ist Selbstbedienung für Essen und Getränke. Trinken nimmt man gleich mit, Essen wird an Tisch gebracht nach Tischnummer Angabe bei Bestellung.

Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker. Alle sehr freundlich und schönes Ambiente.

Immer ein Besuch wert. Im Sommer keine Reservierung nötig! Super reichhaltiges Essen. Waren schon oft dort.
