Everything is very quaint and atmospherically furnished and decorated. There's a large outdoor area, a covered outdoor area, and an indoor area. The food is plentiful and delicious. The prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants. We will definitely eat here again.

The food wasn't that good, the fries were delicious, the cheese in the Cordon Bleu ran out like water and then solidified on the plate again. It tasted like an imitation cheese. It ruined the flavor of the food. A good Gouda would have been better. Given the value for money, I gave it two stars. We're restaurateurs ourselves, and this kind of cheese should be banned. Bottles and glasses shouldn't be carried to the table under the arm; there's a tray for that. We were amazed. Typical characteristics of imitation cheese in the Cordon Bleu: • Consistency: When heated, it doesn't become creamy and stringy, but rather liquid and sometimes watery or oily. • Color: Often pale white to light yellow, instead of golden yellow like real cheese. • Extrusion: When cut or fried, it can run like a thin, milky liquid – sometimes it looks like white water or oil with white streaks. • Smell and taste: Hardly any cheese aroma, rather neutral or slightly artificial, without the typical scent of melted Emmental or Gouda. Real cheese filling, on the other hand: • Becomes viscous and stringy, remains golden yellow, and smells intensely of cheese. • Doesn't come out as "watery," but rather strings or remains creamy in the meat.

But nothing at all changes!!! A really nice place, delicious food, good value for money. But the guy at the drinks counter is behaving really abysmally. How can someone snap at their customers like that and be so unfriendly? Impossible, never again, no matter how good the food tastes. It's a real shame, I loved this place and I came here often. But since yesterday I've had enough. I'm not a squeamish person when it comes to Franconian friendliness, but this is really too much. Slapping my glass of hot water in someone's face without even telling them where the tea is is downright cheeky. It's a shame that someone his age knows nothing about politeness and friendliness. Now he can snap at others, who will hopefully draw the same conclusions from his behavior. Otherwise he won't learn anything.

We always enjoy coming to Schrepfersmühle. Yesterday we were out cycling and stopped in for lunch. We had a sensational cordon bleu; it couldn't be better. The meat was tender, the breading was crispy and cooked to perfection. The fries were just as delicious. A dream, thanks.

The Mühle could be considered an insider tip if it weren't already so well known. You simply pick a table, remember the number, and then order food and drinks at the counter. The food is served later. The Mühle is very cozy both inside and out. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The burgers, for example, are delicious. A large Aperol costs only €5. And so on. Thank you.

The service staff was very friendly. The manager, unfortunately, was extremely unfriendly and rude. The food has declined significantly over the past few months. They're just living off their feet. It's a shame.

A beautiful place. The food was excellent. A rather rude guy at the bar. He yells at the customers, telling them to order together. It's best to take a group order in the queue. I ordered an Aperol, and the woman behind me also ordered one after me. The guy practically freaked out, wondering why she hadn't said so right away. It's the customers' fault it's taking so long. Disgraceful. He should take a etiquette course.

Very good pizza in a beautiful ambience

Beautiful place. Very inviting. Good food and generous portions. Value for money 👍 I like the ordering process! It's better to reserve seats for larger groups. There are also parking spaces a little further away, and then a pleasant walk through the forest. I'd be happy to go back!

Highly recommended, very idyllic, good food at reasonable prices. The service concept is different, but very good. We were there around 3:30 p.m. (it usually opens at 3:00 p.m.), and the parking lot was already half full. Parking later on is a matter of luck, or you have to walk further.

The food was delicious. This was my second time there. It was always a Sunday and the place was quite busy, but the weather was also good. The atmosphere was very nice, matching the food. The only downside was probably the manager, who was very rude and abrupt last time. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

These days, there are only good, customer-oriented, or bad mass-market restaurants. Fortunately, these money-making businesses will disappear sooner rather than later. Close quickly or promptly hand over to professionals who treat all customers as human beings. Until then, any other establishment is preferable to this one.

Despite the idyllic ambiance, I unfortunately can't recommend it. After asking if they had Chococcino, the manager informed me that this was a beer garden, not a café. My friend wanted to know what he could safely eat there due to his intolerances. The manager replied that he didn't offer advice. He also commented that restaurants had to close because of customers like him. Allergens were listed on the menu. Very unfriendly. Unfortunately, very disappointing and not customer-focused. We left!

Yesterday, after a Sunday outing, the four of us stopped by the Schrepfersmühle. Our first impression was dominated by the lively atmosphere: it was very crowded and accordingly loud, which gave the place a certain bustle. Luckily, a table just opened up, so we could sit down right away. However, ordering proved a bit of a chore. After waiting 20 minutes in a long line at the food counter, we were served by a waiter with curly hair, whose demeanor was unfortunately very rude and unfriendly. This experience was disappointing and almost made us leave. A more cordial demeanor would certainly make a big difference here, because ultimately, it's the guests who make the business work. After ordering, we got our drinks and waited for the food. Unfortunately, the wait times varied greatly: the first dish arrived after 20 minutes, the second after 40 minutes, and the last two after an hour and ten minutes. This somewhat dampened the overall impression. However, the waiters who cleared the tables deserve special mention. They were consistently extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful – there's really nothing to complain about here. The prices at Schrepfersmühle are a definite plus: both the food and drinks are very reasonably priced. However, this is also reflected in the quality of the food. The burger with fries was solid and perfectly fine. The Cordon Bleu, however, was rather average and had a slightly "sugary" pork flavor, which wasn't particularly convincing. The pizza, unfortunately, wasn't a highlight either – the yeast dough was more reminiscent of doner kebab bread than classic pizza dough. You probably can't expect too much for the low prices, but a little more attention to detail would have been nice. Overall, thanks to its idyllic location, Schrepfersmühle definitely has the potential to be more than just a lovingly designed cafeteria with cheap food. With shorter wait times, friendlier service at the food counter, and a little more focus on the quality of the food, this place could really shine. We might come again, hoping for a more complete experience.

Excellent food, very friendly staff, well organized. Excellent value for money. We had fish soup and a Marrakesh platter, both delicious, along with a shandy and a mineral water, both 0.5 l, for a total of €23.00.

We ended up there by chance. It's a shame we didn't discover this cozy beer garden sooner; we would have stopped by more often if we were. If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely go back. We highly recommend the Kaiserschmarrn, Aperol Spritz, and various types of beer, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

The atmosphere is great, and the service is self-service: you order and pay at the counter. When your food is ready, it's brought to your table. You can also purchase and bring your own drinks. Some dishes are delicious, while others are so-so. The hamburger was overcooked and dry, and the bun was cold. I recommend bringing a friend for a relaxing time.

It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a charming place, tucked away in a quiet spot. There are two parking lots, so parking is no problem. There are plenty of tables, but beware! They'll be pushy Germans who try to grab your table even though others are free. If you refuse, they'll stare you down. This happened three times during one visit to the garden! Let's move on to the service: very friendly and efficient! The wait for food wasn't long, about 15-20 minutes, even though there were a lot of people. The location is great because you feel like you're eating in the middle of the forest. We ordered a dark beer, Lillet, Burger Jack, Burger Cheese, and a Delicioza pizza. The burgers were delicious and the fries were delicious! We also enjoyed the pizza, but the crust was a bit thin. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied and will definitely return, as long as the staff can control the people who insist on sitting at your table.

A very unfriendly manager who couldn't take criticism. A disappointment for me as a regular beer garden visitor. I had to complain about the beer because it tasted very watery. Instead of accepting my criticism and offering me an alternative, I was laughed at and left standing. I was told to contact the brewery. I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and am shocked by this reaction. The 60 km drive based on a recommendation was therefore not worth it. The food prices were too high compared to other restaurants. Drinks were reasonably priced.

The food is very good and the portions are generous. They offer delicious burgers, pizza, pasta, schnitzel, and much more. There's a good selection of regional beers. For dessert, we recommend the Kaiserschmarrn. It's worth noting that the valley location makes it very cool, which is very pleasant on a hot summer day.

A "place of power" - to recharge in many ways

Great place along a river in a rustic former papermill with eclectic decor and lots of outdoor seating, this is a hidden gem. I strongly recommend the wooden oven pizzas, the burgers, the grilled cheese and needless to say, this is Bavaria, the beers on tap.

The food hasn't been perfect since the new kitchen staff arrived. The schnitzel was very dry, the fried potatoes were swimming in fat and had a strange taste. There used to be more food on offer. You have to get non-alcoholic drinks from the fridge yourself these days; you only pay at the counter. It's been a lot worse. Service staff are sometimes bored and unfriendly. No longer recommended.

The fish soup is fantastic. I've only had better in the South of France. And extremely reasonably priced for the fish content. Unfortunately, it's a bit crowded—seems to be "in." Even on Friday afternoon, it's practically full.

I had a currywurst and my son had chicken nuggets. The food was very good and plentiful. The prices are absolutely fair. €3 for a beer. Where else can you get this? The meal cost €8.50 each. The ambience is great. We stopped on our hike. This is the perfect stop for that. Some are self-service. This means you have to go to the counter and order there. You take drinks with you straight away. The food is brought. But it happens relatively quickly.

100% recommendation 5/5 ⭐ We (two adults) came here for the first time by pure chance on a Saturday in January, and we are overjoyed to have found this gem. But first things first: So it was a Saturday, around 3:30 a.m., we happened to be nearby, and my wife stumbled upon Schrepfersmühle on Google. So we came here spontaneously, and to our surprise, the whole place was packed. We asked the very friendly waitress if there was room for two adults. Her reply was, "Just a moment, I'll see what I can do." Two minutes later, she was back and seated us at a large table for six with two other guests. Our drinks were taken, and we were given the menu. We could hardly believe our eyes: schnitzel with fried potatoes - €12, the most expensive pizza €11, a huge burger with fries €12, a 0.5l soft drink €2!!!, and a 0.5l beer €3! We ordered two schnitzels with fries. About 15 minutes later, the food arrived at our table, super fresh and extremely light - it was a dream! Even though the restaurant was packed, everything was super quick and friendly - perfect service! Full and happy, we ordered the bill and paid €31 for two schnitzels with fries, one Colaweizen beer, and two Spezi! Top-quality, tasty food with delightful service. We are 100% thrilled with our overall experience and will definitely come back here again in the future. Many thanks to the Schrepfersmühle team for the wonderful stay and the perfect meal.

The visit was extremely disappointing. We walked to the restaurant the day before to inquire about vegan food. The boss told me that it was definitely possible to put together something vegan from the dishes. So we go there the next day. There we had a man at the order counter who could in no way confirm the boss's statements. Suddenly there was butter everywhere, even in the pizza dough. What's butter doing in pizza dough? Anyway, I asked kindly what we could do there because we had been confirmed the day before that there was vegan food. The man was so unfriendly and anti-vegan that I had never experienced that before. The answer to the question why he was so unfriendly was so bitchy and aggressive. Unbelievable, absolutely not recommended the shed. Of course I didn't order any food.

BE CAREFUL when paying by card, something can go wrong and as a SINGLE GUEST the food will be charged twice. If you make a complaint, you will get the excess debited money back as a GOOD PAYMENT, but you will still be rude via email pointed out that you shouldn't contact us again. and rob them of their time.

Very nice beer garden with partial/self-service in the middle of Franconian Switzerland in a wonderful setting. You sit comfortably under the trees by the (usually dry) stream. Good selection of local brewing specialties and a small, varied menu. The portions are generous and the price is very, very good. Since it is a well-attended excursion restaurant, places are always rare and reservations cannot be made. But you can always find a cozy place...
