Gaststätte Scharfe Ecke in Oederan

The food was truly abysmal. The pizza crust was undercooked and the cheese was greasy; the kids had nuggets and fries. None of my kids ate the nuggets after the first bite, and I found them truly disgusting. The fries were just okay, but not good enough for any of my kids to finish the mini portion. There was no mayo. Nor was there any chili sauce for the Chinese noodles. The chicken was at least available, but otherwise very sparingly, and overall, the Chinese noodles were a dry affair. The ambiance is awful. The menu dominates, featuring a collection of absurdities from all over the world: from "doner kebab with gyro meat - regular Hawaiian, with pineapple" to "pizza calzone with spaghetti Bolognese filling." While our order was being prepared, several phone orders were being taken, and the overexcited kids had to wait until the "junior bag" was complete or devour our drinks. The kids' drink was a no-name Capri Sun from the discount store, the original with a paper straw that bent five times before it made it into the bag. And while we stirred the disgusting stuff in shock, we watched as tzatziki was beautifully poured into the kebab for the next customer. Oh yes, only cash, of course. I don't need that a second time.

We went bowling on Sunday and then had dinner. Everything was great, as always. However, I asked our waitress why the air conditioning was already off. The answer was due to a single table's request. Why this table's request took precedence over all the others was beyond us (yes, there were more guests present). It's a shame that in those temperatures, not only the other guests had to sweat, but probably the staff especially.

It was very nice! We had a great meal; everything was delicious and plentiful. We'd love to come back 😋

We were in the small Ore Mountains, and then we decided to have lunch at Manu's Restaurant. I had a hamburger schnitzel, and my wife opted for a schnitzel topped with cheese and seasoned meat for starters. The service was very friendly, the schnitzel topped with croquettes and the seasoned meat were highly recommended, and the hamburger schnitzel with fried potatoes could have been better with the fried potatoes and egg. All in all, we were quite satisfied.
