Down-to-earth cuisine with extremely high quality We spontaneously felt like having a schnitzel on Saturday evening and luckily got a table (we were flexible in terms of time). We both chose the Schnitzel Budapest from the additional card, which is valid for two weeks. To be honest, many of the dishes on both menus appealed to us, but the schnitzel was already on our minds. We were thrilled when we saw what we ordered. There was NO schnitzel drowned in a red ready-made sauce and with fries soaked in the sauce. Instead, there was a really delicious homemade schnitzel with a creamy sauce on which the al dente and super tasty vegetables lay. The fries were also home-made and really potato-y, crunchy, super tasty and in their own bowl, protected from any sauce. Great thought! Everything was extremely fresh and delicious and we absolutely loved it. The food on the neighboring tables including the desserts also looked great! And the drinks menu is not run-of-the-mill and invites you to enjoy more. You'll see us again! We wish you many more happy guests who you can serve as kindly and attentively as we did on Saturday! The Rosengarten is back... and how! I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Rosengarten again, and I was completely thrilled! And not for the first time. The restaurant offers good, home-style cooking of a high standard... traditional, hearty, and made with a lot of love that you can even taste. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the restaurant not only appeals to older guests, but also attracts a younger crowd. The menu offers classics with modern touches, so there really is something for everyone. The rump steak with beans in bacon and duchess potatoes was an absolute highlight... tender and perfectly cooked, the beans in bacon were super fresh, firm to the bite, and beautifully colored... you could definitely call it a culinary delight. This doesn't just apply to the rump steak, but also to many other dishes I've already tried, such as the venison goulash and the pork medallions. Hats off to the kitchen. Now let's move on to the fantastic bar: For me, it's clearly the visual highlight of the restaurant. Quaint and beautifully presented. Whether you're relaxing with a beer (with a great selection on tap) or a well-matched aperitif, the atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and inviting. The bar doesn't just look great, it also works. The service was great, the food was great and without asking, for example, more sauce was immediately added when it was served and could be reordered. The hosts take the time to have nice, short conversations and ask very unobtrusively whether everyone is happy. The point deducted is that it is very loud in the dining room when it is busy, which is due to the location. We were in the beer garden in the summer, which is also recommended. Very quiet, despite the central location.

I go to the chemical park in Marl twice a year and come from Koblenz. I have also been a regular customer for dinner at the Rosengarten for years. After the last owner closed it in 2023, I was very sad 😢. After the new owner took over, I went back to eat and found that everything was even better. I look forward to my next visit to the rose garden. I can recommend this location to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice restaurant, good food and delicious drinks. 🥩🍷👌

After the reopening, we have been guests in the rose garden several times. Every time the service and food were great! We can particularly recommend the rump steak, which even a normal knife glides through like butter. The other menus - e.g. the Viennese veal schnitzel, the fried chicken... - are also really good. Overall, the food and drink menu impresses with its overview and quality. You can tell that the entire workforce pursues their profession with joy and enthusiasm. They are flexible, respond to requests and create a great atmosphere.

We tested the restaurant today after it reopened, everything was really perfect! I liked it better than before, the menu is also more modern, back then I chose the chicken (which strangely enough is often served), which was good but for me personally it's not necessarily a reason to go to the restaurant. I had the pork fillet today with Calvados sauce, which was really good, I think the price-performance level is also very good. My wife had the lentil curry, which she also really liked. Even today on August 30th, 2024 everything was great on our second visit. We'll be back :-) everything just fits!

After a long time we had dinner in the rose garden. This time under new management. We were 7 adults and 2 small children. . All dishes arrived at the same time, hot. And were very tasty. The service staff was very friendly and even though it was full, everything went very quickly. Children are welcome guests and bobby cars and toys are available. Service is nice and quick. The boss Eddie is very nice and keeps in touch with his guests. Unfortunately, that didn't work properly with my food. The starter soup came alongside my chicken. The boss then saw this and had my chicken brought back. Unfortunately it was cold and the fried potatoes were missing. Everything was then rearranged again, potatoes were fresh and warm, unfortunately the chicken was still partly cold. Compared to the previous tenant, there is still room for improvement. It's nice to sit outside, service is ok, everything else will work out.

Today we were in the rose garden for the first time since the reopening. What can I say: We are more than thrilled! Incredibly friendly and warm-hearted operators, extremely friendly and attentive service staff! The food is delicious (be sure to try the chicken!) and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The interior is comfortably furnished and the terrace at the back invites you to linger longer. We will definitely be coming back regularly!

Today we ordered a table for 7 p.m. with four people and were really looking forward to the famous Rosengarten chicken... unfortunately there were no more available. Okay, picked something else. The food came after 1 1/4 hours. To pass the time, everyone was given a King Ludwig 0.5 L at the house's expense. The service (nice young woman with red hair) is very commendable. Not only did she shorten our waiting time in a very loving and friendly manner, but she also served us very competently.

We were there a week ago after 8:00 p.m. Full outside, but still plenty of space inside. The surprise came with the menu, as it felt like half of the dishes were sold out. Including burgers and chicken! After we finally found something, we had to wait over an hour for the food. Of the three side salads I ordered, two were full of sand 🤔 Otherwise the food was delicious. The waitress saved the evening. She was very nice and always came to the table. Will I visit the restaurant again? To be honest, I don't know yet.

Ich habe lachs mit Nudeln gegessen. Es war sehr lecker, allerdings war die Portion sehr übersichtlich. Normalerweise schaffe ich in anderen lokalen meine Portion nicht. Bin im Rosengarten mit hungrigen Magen raus. Habe das der Bedienung mitgeteilt, war aber wohl egal. Ambiente einfallslos.

We enjoyed eating at Eckstein with the Falk family and this evening in the new rose garden it was fantastic again! Best quality, best service, great atmosphere. We really like the family warmth and wish the new team, the Falk family and Mr. Erken, all the best and look forward to many cozy evenings.

Der Rosengarten ist ein sehr nettes Restaurant. Es ist in einem rustikalen Stil gehalten und sehr gepflegt. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Gegessen habe ich ein halbes Hähnchen mit Bratkartoffeln. Das Hähnchen war außerordentlich lecker. Eine volle Punktzahl kann ich für das Essen leider nicht vergeben, da ich die Bratkartoffeln nicht wirklich empfehlen kann. Sie schmeckten leider nicht "wie selbstgemacht" und das fand ich bedauerlich, da ich gute Bratkartoffeln zu schätzen weiß. Absolut empfehlenswert ist der Krautsalat. Er ist (laut Karte) hausgemacht und das schmeckt man auch! Premium! Rundherum aber habe ich einen schönen Abend verbracht und werde das Restaurant wieder besuchen!!!

Wir waren gestern Abend hier essen. Die Gaststätte, das Personal und nicht zuletzt das Essen ,alles Top. Wir hatten beide Schweinebraten mit selbstgemachten Knödel und Rotkohl echt lecker. Dennoch ziehe ich einen Stern ab und das hat einen guten Grund Wir haben fast 1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Das hätte man fairerweise bei der Bestellung sagen können. Dennoch kommen wir gerne wieder werden dann allerdings nach der Wartezeit fragen.

Haben lecker Hähnchen, sehr zu empfehlen.

Seit langer Zeit eine Institution in Recklinghausen, schönes Gasthaus- Kult! Sehr nette Gastgeberin, authentisches Ambiente, diverse Biere (immer perfekt gezapft!) und ausgesuchte Weine, schmackhafte, mit guten und oft regionalen Zutaten zubereitete Gerichte zu vernünftigen Preisen. Im Sommer Biergarten unter großen, schattigen Bäumen. Empfehlenswert!!
