The name Reichsadler (Imperial Eagle) suggests something sinister, but it's just a normal pub with no discernible political leanings. I think it's time for a new name for the place. It's polarizing; is that intentional? 🤔

Four of us went there for dinner yesterday. It was fantastic! It's a small, quaint restaurant with super friendly service. We had a 300g medium steak that was cooked to perfection, along with fresh asparagus. There's only the chef and one assistant in the kitchen, so it takes a little longer, but the food is amazing and excellent value for money. We highly recommend this small restaurant. It's a good thing we had a reservation. It quickly filled up.

Even after the change of ownership, it's still a top spot. The goulash soup is heavenly and the house beer tastes great too.

I visited the Reichsadler in Hameln for the first time and was truly impressed! The restaurant is cozy, traditional, and has a really pleasant atmosphere. I had the onion schnitzel with fries. The meat was tender and juicy, the onions perfectly fried and wonderfully aromatic. The fries were crispy and fresh, cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive, and the value for money was excellent. A great restaurant for anyone who appreciates good German cuisine and genuine hospitality. I'll definitely be back!

A restaurant with a pub atmosphere (like in the old days, only without smoking). Very good and friendly service, the food was delicious, the drinks were as they should be, and all at a reasonable price. There's plenty of parking nearby.

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We always enjoy coming here to eat. It's wonderful that places like this still exist.

Food: Solid, adequate portion size, meat quality was good. Taste was also excellent. The fries, however, were extremely salty. While they were great in themselves, they made the dish slightly oversalted, but I still enjoyed it. The service: Outstanding! I've never experienced such friendly, attentive, and witty service. They even asked how I wanted my Alster mixed. The young man did a fantastic job and more than deserved the tip! Atmosphere: Typically rustic, I'd say exactly what you'd expect, but nothing particularly special. Solid! Price: Two full meals, a large beer, a soft drink, €54. Everyone has to decide for themselves, but I thought it was reasonable!

We were spontaneously looking for a restaurant in Hameln and came across this one. A very quaint restaurant. Super friendly service. Even though the place was very busy, our food was delivered to our table quickly. My Jägerschnitzel (pork schnitzel) was tender as butter and incredibly delicious. I haven't had such a good schnitzel in a long time. I will definitely come back. Vegetarians will also find something to their liking here. My wife had a tarte flambée and was also very satisfied.

Based on the name and the outside, we were more than surprised by the wonderful atmosphere. The waitress immediately welcomed our cheerful group with a quick joke. The food was absolutely amazing; for us, it was a Michelin-starred chef. And overall, we were soooo impressed. Thank you for the lovely, delicious evening. You absolutely have to stop here if you're visiting Hameln.

A quick tip: Make sure you make a reservation in advance! I tried 5-6 times yesterday before I got through. But it's definitely worth the effort—the food, the atmosphere, and the service are absolutely worth it. High praise to the kitchen and the entire team. We're even considering coming back soon. I visited the restaurant for the second time today. Food: I had the Argentinian sirloin steak with fries. It was cooked medium-rare. It was simply delicious. I haven't had such a delicious steak in a long time. Thanks to the chef. Service: Very good service. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. TOP. Very good value for money. Atmosphere: Authentic pub culture. Please keep it that way. I'd love to come back. One more tip: Reservations required. I was lucky to get a table.

We (campers) stumbled upon this restaurant by chance (as there's a top bread/roll dealer across the street). BUT We walked past the first evening - the stall/beer garden was packed - so we went there. - Food - We had a hunter's schnitzel with fried potatoes, small. Salad and mashed potatoes with veal liver and braised onions -- super delicious 😋 (The next table had a rump steak (dude 🤤) - I was already full, unfortunately) - everything was fresh and top quality (even the mashed potatoes), the braised onions (hmmm) - Service - (the son-in-law (mother and daughter)) - very friendly and attentive - even with a good joke (that's how it should be 👍) - Value for money -- - Ambience - unbeatable (leave it as it is), this is still authentic pub culture (including the food) - Owner - an Italian family - who can cook German better (Pepe) than many others - from us again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -- we'll definitely be back -- For those who write negative reviews, it's because it's closed (it's a day off) and there's no drinks menu (then ask for it) - should rather stay at home 🙈

Yesterday, after several years, I was a guest at the Reichsadler again. "Guest" really still means "guest" here! Consistently friendly, courteous, and attentive staff, competent food recommendations, and prompt drinks and food service. A goulash soup like I haven't had in years (except for homemade), the veal schnitzel, made in the style of the traveling peoples, was a revelation, a real treat! My fellow diners, including two growing grandchildren, almost finished their schnitzels and chicken sandwiches, despite the really large portions. I really wonder why I, the idiot I am, haven't been to this restaurant for so many years. It won't happen again. Conclusion: A life without the Hameln Reichsadler is possible, but pointless.

Da wir mit 10 Personen unterwegs waren, ist es nicht immer leicht, kurzfristig Plätze zu bekommen. Obwohl das Restaurant geschlossen hatte, wurde meine Anfrage von einer netten Dame entgegen genommen und nach Rücksprache mit ihrem Chef auch bestätigt, Der Abend war ein voller Erfolg. Der Reichsadler hat sich den Kneipencharakter erhalten, auf der Speisenkarte ist für jeden etwas dabei und alles sehr schmackhaft und toll angerichtet. Die Bedienung nett und freundlich. Man sollte unbedingt reservieren, zu mindestens am Wochenende und mit vielen Personen.

We're currently in Hameln for the Rooftop Tent Festival, and we stayed at the Altstadt Pension the day before. We'd already picked this restaurant from our home in Bavaria using Google, and we had dinner here this evening. The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. We'd definitely go back.

Typisch deutsche Küche, was will man mehr? Sehr freundliche Bedienung und ein guter Service. Eine uhrige Gaststätte, in der man schön lange verweilen kann. Erstklassige Bedienung und sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Bestellte Getränke und Speisen kammen rasch an den Tisch, zudem hatte die Bedienung immer einen kleinen Scherz auf den Lippen hatte. So muss das sein! Wir sind sehr zufrieden und zusammenfassend sagen wir: "Hier kommen wir gerne wieder hin." 5 Sterne * * * * * Vielen Dank :-)

Absolutely great and cozy restaurant and pub. Completely solid food at a fair price. There is home-style cooking, and a visit during kale or asparagus season is particularly recommended. Guests who linger at the table or at the counter after their meal for one or two freshly tapped Pilsners are also well taken care of. What should be highlighted is the selection of spirits - including regional ones ("Rattenkiller").

Absolutely top class, there were two of us there today... super nice reception, super nice service and the food was a blast. We had gypsy schnitzel with fries and the grill plate with fried potatoes, to which I also ordered pepper sauce. It was all so delicious that I ate more than was healthy :o) When we are back in Hameln we will definitely go there again. Excellent.

We wanted to eat there on May 1st, entered the restaurant at 7:25 p.m. and were told there was no more food, the kitchen had packed up! The Grohnder Fährhaus was happy about the mine...

First of all: The restaurant has a certain reputation, which we didn't notice on site (apart from the name), but we don't support it despite our visit. The service was nice and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The schnitzel was okay and the fries were good. Our request to share a currywurst was happily granted, but unfortunately the sausage was too soft for me. The sauce, on the other hand, was deliciously fruity. Unfortunately the steaks were a bit too well done this time, but there are probably better days. The croquettes are small balls, but that makes them something different and interesting. The fried potatoes were pretty tasty and so was the tartar sauce. There was a decent amount of sour meat, but unfortunately it wasn't seasoned enough.

Today we were at the Reichsadler for the first time. A rustic, cozy restaurant with a clear menu. If you like hearty dishes, this is the place for you. But smaller hunger pangs are also taken care of. I had the Jägerschnitzel with croquettes. A really large portion, nothing to complain about in terms of taste, very tasty! The only thing the service would have liked to do was look or ask about drinks. We were definitely not there for the last time!
