We walked in on one of the most stressful nights in our recent lives and were too late for dinner. Both owners took care of us, poured a glass of wine and arranged a place to sleep and recover. We will be forever grateful and will make sure to visit soon to try the food.

Very friendly and efficient wait staff who serve delicious food in a traditional setting. TOP... Today, a year later... I've rarely laughed so much while eating. Top team in a top atmosphere. See you next time 😜👍

Delicious food and great service.

The Schmiedeschänke is a lovingly decorated restaurant with an old semicircular tiled stove in the corner, copper molds on the wall, and delicious regional food. Chanterelles and bread dumplings, homemade solyanka, and grilled meats—everything was lovingly and generously served and truly delicious. You get good regional wine and, in addition to the excellent cuisine, excellent service from the super-friendly English gentleman who looked after us wonderfully all evening. A cozy, rustic restaurant. The staff was very friendly (the owner himself served us). The excellent cuisine, featuring fresh, delicately seasoned dishes, is particularly worth mentioning. Absolutely delicious. Great value for money. Highly recommended. The location is right near the airport, so we were able to enjoy a great meal before our flight.

We, from Zittau and Nuremberg, had dinner at this restaurant before and after our trip to Turkey. The food was excellent, the staff was super friendly, and the restrooms were clean. The second time we sat in the beer garden, luckily we had a reservation. The server was so pleasant and funny, we felt completely at home... Thank you for the lovely evening!

Guys... You have to eat here. I'm visiting the Dresden region and live in the far north. To sum it up: - Great guy - Great service - Great food The owner is a very nice guy, customer-oriented, always noticed immediately when a glass was empty/almost empty and immediately asked if they could have another drink. The food, homemade, nothing frozen! Homemade fries, cut into pieces, homemade mayo, decent portions, and I'm more of a big appetite type, very decent size. It came with a small side salad, homemade vinaigrette/dressing, incredibly good🤩! Price/performance ratio: top quality at moderate prices! I immediately tipped €10 on a €35 bill (starter/main course + 2x 0.5 Spezi). The starter was a solyanka (fresh and homemade), which was also incredibly delicious! All in all, this was by far the best restaurant license I've had in a long time! I was and still am thrilled. If I ever come to the Dresden area, I'll definitely eat there again! Many thanks to the host, absolutely amazing!

The food was incredibly good; the fried potatoes and pork medallions were top-notch. The highlight, though, was the salad! I can't remember when I've ever had such a good salad! Also, the service was very friendly :)

We had dinner in the restaurant with 10 people. Naturally, everyone orders something different and don't forget special requests. We were and are fascinated by how well everything fit. Starting with the drinks, through the starter, the main course and the dessert. I can simply recommend everything.

Yesterday we met halfway with the children from Upper Lusatia to hand over the grandchildren at lunchtime. Our joint choice fell on the Schmiedeschänke. We were greeted very friendly. The guest room is very rustically furnished. The selection on the menu is varied. All the dishes looked and tasted very tasty. The service is great. Whenever we are in the region again, the Schmiedeschänke is our first choice.

A big compliment to both the kitchen and the service :) Thank you for opening up especially for us - so that our company Christmas dinner could take place. The food was delicious and all the colleagues were happy. Communication regarding the reservation was also quick and uncomplicated. We'd love to come back - as a company and now that we've got a taste for it, also privately.

Das Essen ist immer noch sehr lecker, aber der neue Kollege im Service geht gar nicht. Spricht zu viel, spricht zu laut und macht sofort auf dicker Kumpel, obwohl man sich gar nicht kennt. So ein Niveau haben wir bei den beiden anderen Kollegen nie erlebt. Sehr schade.

We just went out to eat, normally closed on Sundays, but we didn't know it was Mother's Day and just wanted to look at the menu. Then they came to us and said that it was open today and that food was available all day, except for asparagus only from 5 p.m. Ok, we came back at 5 p.m. So it was totally delicious, perfect. However, drawbacks, for 1 extra portion of hollondaise it was €4.20, really steep, my asparagus was poorly peeled, well and the prices, like everywhere else, are totally exaggerated. 24.90€ schnitzel with asparagus, 23.50€ tongue with asparagus, wine, beer etc. totally exaggerated. But tasted very good.

We ate delicious home-style cuisine here. The service was great and we didn't miss anything. We'd love to come back. A friend is staying there overnight, the rooms are probably good.

We ate here at the weekend and were very impressed. The atmosphere is rustic, I would say, but absolutely cozy. The service was very attentive and courteous. The highlight was of course the food; Asparagus, potatoes and Wiener schnitzel as well as fried chicken liver on fried potatoes with salad. Everything was great, asparagus cooked perfectly, neither too soft nor crunchy, the schnitzel was a dream, super tender and the chicken liver was great! Even the salad was great.

A very cozy inn. The food is hearty home cooking (unfortunately with a lot of onions) and the service is very friendly and attentive. The portions are sufficient and if you can't manage it, you can have the rest packed up. If you like good home cooking, this is a good place to be. Bon appetit :-)

We were given a table. The service was again very nice, friendly and accommodating. The food was again delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. We'll definitely be back. Very tasty food, very friendly service. Allergies are also taken into account promptly and, above all, precisely. It's a shame that it's not open at lunchtime during the week, otherwise we would definitely stop by nearby more often before or after our appointments. We can't rate the rooms as we only came in to eat.

Wir waren am 23.11.2023 mit 12 Personen in der Gaststätte zum Abendessen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Diese Gaststätte ist auf alle Fälle weiter zu empfehlen.

Die Schänke, ist urig eingerichtet, der Service hervorragend und das Essen schmeckt auch wirklich gut. Wir hatten während der Spargelzeit ein Wiener Kalbsschnitzel sowie Rinderzunge bestellt. Beides tolle Gerichte und gut zubereitet. Kleine Abzüge gibt's trotzdem, die Butter der Butterkartoffeln schwamm auf dem gesamten Teller und hat somit alles in Fett ertränkt, das mag mit Sicherheit nicht jeder. Preise sind durchaus nicht gerade günstig, bei regionalen Produkten aber okay, aber offensichtliche TK Pommes fürs Kind für 5,90€? Da rettet auch die gelungene Zubereitung nicht mehr vor Sternabzug. Wir kommen wieder

Nach perfekter Reservierung über Open Table waren wir heute zum Mittagessen in der Schmiedeschänke. Das Essen war wunderbar und preislich sehr gut. Die beiden Servicekräfte waren super freundlich, wir konnte bei wunderschönem Wetter im Biergarten sitzen, perfekt auch für unseren Hund. Vielen Dank für den gelungenen Tag, wir seh'n uns spätestens zum Weihnachtsessen wieder.

Ich habe nur die Gaststätte kennengelernt, aber das war ein echtes Erlebnis und ich kann diese nur empfehlen. An diesem heißen Sommertag war ich nur im Biergarten. Dort sitzt man ruhig unter großen Bäumen im Schatten. Das Personal ist freundlich und auf Zack. Aber das Essen ist absolute Spitzenklasse. Es gibt nur noch wenig Restaurants mit guter deutscher Küche und hier bekommt alles was man kennt und liebt in Gourmetqualität. Ich komme jeder Zeit gern wieder. Schön, dass ich diese Perle gefunden habe.

Ein nettes Lokal mit lecker Essen und sehr netter Bedienung, im Biergarten sitzt man auch sehr schön. Parkplätze sind hinter dem Haus vorhanden. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Seit langer Zeit mal wieder hier gewesen mit meinem Bruder und Schwägerin: super gut gegessen! Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als gut. Sehr gute bodenständiges Essen, alles sehr sehr lecker (zum Beispiel die Eisbeinsülze mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat) Der Service sehr nett, aufmerksam und schnell. Werde bald wieder kommen!
