The view at the top is great, but the food is unfortunately less so: no vegan breakfast alternatives

True: the view is nice. But the tables were all sticky. No service at the table. The stools aren't very comfortable. Smoking is allowed. If you pay by cart you need to go inside. Drinks are owkey. The place was infested by wasps. The barman tried to keep them at the bar by feeding them syrup In ashtrays When the new shift started they didn't appreciate the wasps near the bar so took their feeding away, causing the cloud of wasps to come near the tables of course. They tried to place burning coffee to chase them away but they shoud maybe see to have a strategy in place to handle wasps safely.

When asked to close the door at an air temperature of +10 degrees, the waiter said that they needed fresh air. If you sit in a jacket, hat and gloves, then it's okay, but seriously - this is just disgusting service.

Offers an absolutely amazing view over the city! A perfect spot to enjoy a drink while taking in the beautiful skyline. Great atmosphere and definitely worth a visit if you’re in town.

Strange - nice bar and good location - we were initially told the bar was full and we should come back in an hour - we didn't agree. Three minutes later, we finally walked in - the bar was empty - perhaps the building's structural integrity wasn't right. Attached is a picture of the full bar. Kind of ridiculous, but we still drank €150 here because we were standing over it... Business & revenue are different, at least where we come from.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Such a beautiful location, but such unfriendly staff! We arrived and were immediately told there was no room! A nice young man (a guest) immediately told us they could leave and we could have the seat! We were of course happy! But we still didn't get any drinks! More people came after us and they were all turned away, even though a larger group left! That's not what good service looks like! Even if it had been close to closing time, this could have been communicated! That's not a problem and we understand, but turning someone away even though there was a seat available is not nice!

Unfortunately, we were no longer served after 11pm even though it was open until midnight.

Never again, such a great location, but… Although there was enough staff, the outdoor seating was closed. The weather was used as an excuse. Self-service was the order of the day. Even though the place was open until midnight, they stopped serving at 11:30 p.m., with the excuse that we still had to clean up and do the dishes….unbelievable, we were there with 10 people….they seemed to have no interest in making money….unfortunately, this wasn't the first time this happened….for us, this place is over….it's a shame that another operator needs to take over….

According to the half board, the bar is open until midnight. After 11 p.m., there were no more drinks available, even for hotel guests. The staff had to get up early for breakfast... Once and never again!

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food or ambiance, but I would have liked to increase sales. Since dogs aren't welcome here, we were happy to find another bar that would accommodate us with our dogs. Dog lovers should definitely consider this when choosing a location. 😉

A very nice rooftop bar with a great ambience and a fantastic view over Dresden.

What an unforgettable evening! The White Party at the Felix Rooftop Bar was a real highlight – stylish, elegant, and with a very special atmosphere above the city's rooftops. The location is simply gorgeous: a breathtaking view, a stylish ambiance, and just the right mix of exclusive flair and relaxed vibe. All the guests were dressed in white – this not only created a beautiful overall picture, but also a sense of community and a special occasion. The music was perfectly coordinated – from summery beats to danceable classics – and kept the dance floor alive well into the night. The service was also top-notch: friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. The cocktails were creatively mixed and delicious – just the thing for a warm summer evening. In summary: A successful evening full of good music, stylish people, and an unforgettable atmosphere. If you have the opportunity to attend the White Party at Felix next time – definitely go!

I would definitely book again; I don't think it could get any better. The only drawback, but that's just complaining at a high level, is the lack of air conditioning.

We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the roof terrace during an event that was taking place right downstairs at Felix. Unfortunately, we found out on site that the room was rented out on Saturday evening and we weren't allowed to use anything. Not even look at it ;( We were very disappointed, as we had booked the event so that we could have a nice, cozy drink there in the hot temperatures... so unfortunately we could only sit inside, in the extreme heat, which wasn't nice... that should have been planned better - the event had already planned for a roof terrace... too bad - PS: It's sure to be nice there.

Dirty glasses, unfriendly service, completely overwhelmed bartender. There was no food. One star for the view. Insufficient sun protection in the summer.

Pretty weak. They simply won't let you in because there aren't enough staff. If this worked everywhere, many venues would go bankrupt.

Loud, no atmosphere, rude service...nice location, but completely devalued by the bad service

We arrived at Restaurant Felix in Dresden yesterday at 9:40 p.m. – according to the opening hours, the restaurant should be open until 11:00 p.m. The room was half empty, with several free tables. Nevertheless, the staff clearly told us that they wouldn't serve us anymore because "there were too many guests today" and they would rather start cleaning up. What was particularly irritating was that while we were being turned away, other guests continued to be served – they were being brought drinks, right in front of us. If a restaurant closes or no longer wants to accept guests, this should apply consistently to everyone, not just to new guests who are just coming in. Anything else seems arbitrary and disrespectful. I've never experienced anything like this in Germany. This is not service; it's unfortunately a low point. I sincerely hope that management reads this comment and seriously considers how to treat paying guests.

A great location, but the food is unfortunately poor. In the evening, you're chased out of the bar by an automatic, extremely loud announcement. The lights are sometimes turned off, signaling that you're no longer welcome. Dessert is usually out, and there's no ice cream at all. The so-called "breakfast" is actually not recommended at all – it has the feel of an all-inclusive hotel, including queuing for the coffee machine – but the prices are quite high. There were times when guests were charged an "entrance fee" at the bottom of the elevator. In short: Felix urgently needs a new operator who understands how the restaurant business works.

Everything was fine AND the view was especially great. Unfortunately, the restrooms were a bit dirty. But that was probably due to the high number of people using them in the evening.

I find it very strange that “bar” doesn’t serve cocktails. At least standard cocktails like Pina Colada should be possible. But the guys were nice and tried hard - and the location with a view of the kennel is something special.

Tried to visit the local place twice now, closed every time. It's sad that you can't just mention this on the internet. I won't make a third attempt, it's a shame...

It was a complete disaster today! Saturday evening, full hut on the roof terrace and only one person who is supposed to serve everyone, to place an order you wait 15 minutes or longer. I have no idea what the management was thinking by only using one person for service, I felt sorry for the guy behind the bar, he can't do more than work.

We were on the roof terrace with friends in the sunshine on April 4th, 2025 and it was, as always, very nice. The view is really awesome and the drinks were tasty too. We were still very disappointed because there was nothing left to eat. Actually, we always combined a meal at Felix with the bar and cocktails. It's super sad that we have to reorient ourselves now😞😞😞 I hope that changes quickly.

A great view from the roof terrace and a great atmosphere

Food (buffet) very average, staff overwhelmed and suddenly no longer available after eating at a Christmas party. The staff overall seemed very disorganized. The labeling of the food (gluten) was sometimes wrong, the selection of drinks was poor, you had to look for non-alcoholic wine first... Here you pay more for the location than for anything else. It's a shame, I expected more.

The rooftop bar is nice but A! Waiter who is responsible for everything is simply not enough. The dishes were piled up in every corner and we waited forever for 2 long drinks.

Nice location and a rooftop bar. The drinks were not good though. Really average. On the top of it - we ordered hot chocolate and chai latte, and got one average coffee & one chai latte (we had to wonder for a long time to even realise this is supposed taste like chai). No chocolate has been served, despite the price being calculated as if we bought it. In general - I recommend the spot but the not drinks menu.

Ambiance is good, but employees are not treated well. Wages are withheld or reduced. Sick pay will not be canceled by any organization. You are shamelessly exploited. Anyone looking for work should never apply there.

We visited Felix twice during our vacation. The roof terrace is an absolute highlight with a view of the Dresden Zwinger.

Very nice, friendly staff 👍 The location has a lot of advantages but also a few disadvantages. Great central location, but it has a negative acoustic impact on flat sleepers due to local bars, restaurants, etc.

I was at Felix for the second time and disappointed again...we were invited for a birthday and I went there with anticipation...it was very warm and of course it's hot under the roof. There was an air conditioning unit, but it was surrounded by a wooden structure and didn't really do anything because the coolness didn't arrive. It's a shame that no proper air conditioning was installed, because I think that could have been taken into account. In addition, it is quite strange when the coffee machine only makes one cup at a time and produces a very limited selection of coffee specialties. With temperatures having been very hot for weeks, I, and I'm sure many others, would have wished for an iced coffee. Unfortunately this was not available. Precisely because it was so hot and cakes with cream or chocolate are very delicate, I think they should have been on a cooling plate. This made it very difficult to remove from the slate. The condition responsible for us has really done everything to fulfill our every wish, but where its hands are tied, it can't do anything. Finally, the windows were opened to create some draft, which always meant that the poor woman had to either push the windows open when she wanted to serve or run the risk of really hurting herself. All in all, a beautiful location with a great view, but with so many faults that I personally won't go there again. Too bad

I only had breakfast at Felix. I sat on the roof terrace with a great view of the Zwinger. Breakfast tastes twice as good.

As external visitors, we only used the breakfast buffet. We received a very friendly welcome and great service! Thank you very much 😊 The view of the city is excellent and really offers a great ambience. The breakfast buffet was pretty narrow in my opinion. Vegetarians and vegans have also been taken into consideration, but as a vegan I wouldn't have breakfast here because the selection is so small. A recommendation here to the restaurant operator: offer more “fresh” vegetables and fresh filter coffee would round off the breakfast better. Given the location and the beautiful view, the price was still reasonable in my opinion at €17!

The roof terrace is very pretty, with a pleasant atmosphere and a great view of the Dresden Zwinger. The ladies at the counter are very charming and quick. It's pretty well staffed and although there is self-service, at the counter and you pay directly, the tables are cleared and the food is brought to your seat. The selection of dishes is a bit narrow, but I think the main focus is more of a cozy drink with a lot of ambience. Most people here are couples enjoying the sunset and small groups. But bonus: no one asked me if anyone else was coming. I don't like these questions at all when I'm traveling alone. I had the “Tuna Tacos” for €14. Very tasty, but also inhaled very quickly. There's something like tuna tartare in a taco roll... er, biscuit. Really a snack. Plus an organic rhubarb spritzer (€4). The wait time for the tacos was maybe 5 minutes after ordering. There's a bit of house/lounge/ignorable music playing in the background and currently I can hear the fountain below us and the ringing of church bells. Every now and then a tram or a car. It's Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. and the location is just perfect for ending a busy day. The toilets are one floor up, are very clean and have a wild industrial style, in contrast to the sandy roof terrace with shade sails.

The location of the hotel is perfect close to the main attractions and tours. Mind you that is 15-20 minutes walking from the station or you can take a taxi or a tram right in front of the station. The service is excellent and very helpful. The room was spacious with all what you will need. If you get a chance try to book with breakfast is excellent! We are very pleased with our stay

Very nice spot, in the middle of Dresden with a view of the Zwinger from the roof terrace. We had drinks that were very good. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. But the food was really a shame. Very expensive (around €30 for a main course) and then not much on the plate. I understand that the restaurant has become more expensive, but the prices of the main courses were really outrageous, especially since it “only” tasted okay. Would come again for drinks because of the ambience, but no recommendation for the restaurant.

Was so promising and so therefore all the more disappointing. Rude and absent bar staff. Overcharged and given the wrong drinks. As a regular visitor to Dresden I wouldn't darken the door again.

The guy at the reception was very nervous and rude. I've reserved a table. As a result, it turned out that the reservation was canceled and today there is a private banquet on the terrace! I'm terribly disappointed with the service!

Stayed in late November. Reception is on the 6th floor and was quite and easy to pick up room key as we were a large party of 10 .room was on the 4th floor at the end of a long corridor. Room was nice and warm with good facilities. With no air-conditioning I would think it very warm in summer .but plenty of windows for ventilation. Only noticed a leaving that breakfast was available it was a shame as we went out every morning for breakfast

We were there for a cocktail. The menu is very clear when it comes to cocktails. Felix only reveals its true charm when the roof terrace is open in summer. The service was quick and friendly.

We went for dinner at the restaurant. It’s very nice and cozy restaurant but with very limited vegetarian options. Only one vegetarian main course was in the menu and as vegetarian people we had no other choice. The dessert Panna cotta is really good, full of flavours.

Beautiful bar above the rooftops of Dresden! You can look directly into the kennel...but unfortunately there is a larger construction site there!

Without a terrace, you would be broke. No long drinks or cocktails at 11 p.m. Station pub level. Sorry, I'm just annoyed by no effort, I'll never come back. Group disappointed, expectations high, price too, performance below ground. Never ever.

The food was good, but the portion size wasn't filling. Despite starter, main course and dessert. Given the high prices, you should expect that. The wait for dessert was excessively long. We won't come back. A pity. The location is great and we were looking forward to the evening.

We were able to experience the first brunch at Felix on February 4th, 2024: really delicious, rich and colorful. Attention - be sure to leave room for the sophisticated warm dishes, which are only served around 12 p.m. There is something for every taste - really worth the price. The restaurant is chic yet cozy, with a great view of the Zwinger. A big compliment to the kitchen and the super nice service staff. We are already looking forward to the terrace time...

Based on a recommendation and the good rating, we went to the Felix Restaurant with a group of seven people for a business meal in the evening. The location of the restaurant is excellent if you want to use the roof terrace. The bar is really nicely decorated and the staff is very nice. But the food was a huge disappointment. There were five main courses on the mini menu. Number one place: foie gras! Cruelty to animals on a plate should be a no go for us. Disgusting. You had to look for the cod on the plate. I've never seen such a small piece of fish as a main course. Maybe this would pass as an appetizer. The pearl barley risotto was dry and you had to look for the Parmesan cheese. The duck was tough and the colleague had difficulty separating the meat from the bones. After the mini main course there is still more than enough space for a dessert. The blackberry “cheesecake” was sensibly placed in quotation marks on the menu. That should have told us something. There were two hemispheres of frozen cream cheese with a blackberry (!) and a few leaves of brittle. We discussed for a long time what we now have in front of us. It was entertaining in that way. We asked the employee about it. She couldn't tell us what we had on our plate either. There was no response from the kitchen to the complaint. At least that's what I would have expected. And all of this at unacceptably high prices. Luckily there is still Peter Pane downstairs around the building, so we actually didn't have to go home hungry. And the cleanliness of the toilets needs to be worked on. The trash can was more than full of paper, so that the crumpled cloths were lying everywhere on the floor. Conclusion: Nice bar with a great view of the Zwinger. But not acceptable as a restaurant. We will not recommend this.

Went to the afterwork party with friends last week. Cool location with a roof terrace. When we arrived there, free entry and fair drinks prices awaited us. The Toxics provided a great atmosphere and music. Great DJ team! We will come back in any case.

Great bar on the 6th floor with a roof terrace and a beautiful view of the old town. Very friendly service and high quality of drinks. The fire on the roof terrace outside and the radiant heaters were also nice. So you (and women) could stand outside in January and enjoy the view. The toilets were also very stylishly decorated

I was here with friends at Felix for the second or third time today. The reason is the good afterwork parties. Yesterday the Toxics played for you and we were all really excited! They created a really good atmosphere and the music was GREAT! I'd love to come back to Afterwork with my friends 👍🏽

We really liked the modern suite for 4 people - the cleanliness and furnishings were as you would expect. However, we chose breakfast right around the corner - the offer for 17 euros didn't convince us - cozy bar and sensational roof terrace with a great view of the Zwinger - service was really good and very friendly

Central, in the middle of the old town with a view of the Zwinger. The restaurant has a small but very fine menu. We enjoyed our dinner excellently with a wonderful view. Very attentive and friendly service, generally very friendly staff. The rooms could use a little more cleanliness, but they are ok.

Unfortunately we are disappointed... We visited the 'restaurant' and wanted to order dinner. Unfortunately, the menu turned out to be very poor in terms of food selection. There were plenty of drinks, which is of course a plus. However, a place that only serves a few dishes should not call itself a restaurant, but rather a bar with food. The worst thing was that our dinner turned out to be a starter, which was not mentioned anywhere. No one expects an appetizer when they order a $30 meal. Unfortunately none of us stayed full and we had to eat again at home. You don't go to a restaurant only to leave hungry. The food was very good, as were the drinks, the staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was in a great location with a beautiful view. However, the prices were exorbitantly high, and even the wonderful view from the terrace couldn't hide the fact that we definitely paid too much for the food and left hungry. The waiter could have at least pointed out to us how small the portions we can expect. Unfortunately we will not be returning to eat here.

After we had been looking forward to Felix's visit as a small birthday party for weeks, we were quite disappointed. The ambience and the view are unique, no question. But as is usually the case with such unique locations, the rest is not right. The service never came by itself. We had to call very often. No empty glasses were seen; Far too few staff for a Saturday. The staff themselves are very nice, but completely overwhelmed. People look forward to the heavily advertised desserts and 9:30 p.m.; but everything was already gone. The paper was lying around in the toilet rooms and it looked dingy. It's a shame, we have decided not to come back. Nevertheless, if you want to enjoy a drink with a unique view, this is the right place for you.
