Gaststätte Ostende in Leipzig

Meine Oma hatte ihren Garten dort, darum sind wir (nach wie vor) gerne zu Gast im Ostende. Essen ist top, große Portionen und sehr günstig. Die Gaststätte lebt auch vom herzlichen Personal und vom Engagement des Besitzers. Regelmäßige Events wie Bingo, Schlachtfest oder zuletzt das Sommerfest zeugen von der Herzlichkeit, die diesen Ort umgibt. Möchte das Ostende nicht missen, weiter so <3

Wir haben mal schnell angehalten zum Abendessen. Es war lecker und ausreichend. Hier wird gekocht wie früher bei meiner Omi. Die Preise sind angeglichen. Man kann bei dem Wetter toll draußen sitzen, es ist angenehm und ruhig.

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend , sehr nette Leute und das Essen war der Hammer . Ich komme sicher wieder ihr habt mich sehr überzeugt . Danke schön 👍👍👍

Ein wirklich interessantes deutsches Erlebnis. Das Essen war köstlich und schmeckte wie selbstgemacht (gute Preise, großzügige Portionen zum Teilen), der Service war exzellent in einer gemütlichen, lokalen Atmosphäre mit Gästen, die offensichtlich Stammgäste waren. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren gestern spontan zu zweit dort und tatsächlich war einiges frei, es war so gegen halb sieben Uhr abends. Ehrlicherweise kann ich den Hype um dieses Gartenlokal nicht verstehen. Ich hatte eine Haxe mit sauerkraut, Senf und Schwarzbrot. Das Sauerkraut schmeckte, als kommt es direkt aus dem Glas und das Schwarzbrot ist das schlechteste, was ich seit langem mal wieder gegessen habe. Die Haxe war allerdings tatsächlich eine 9/10 . Mein Gegenüber hatte ein komplett belangloses Schnitzel mit Schinken und Käse überbacken..... Das einzig gute an diesem Teller waren die Kartoffelecken, die waren geschmacklich tatsächlich sehr gut. Eine kleine Salatbeilage ist immer gut, aber was gerade auf meinem Teller ein Stück Melone sollte? Petersilie auf dem Tellerrand gehört ja wohl auch schon lange zu den Relikten aus den Achtzigern. Auch waren die Teller sicherlich sehr stylisch, aber für diese Art von Essen viel zu klein. Das schlimmste allerdings war die Bedienung an diesem Tag und zu dieser Uhrzeit. Ich habe mich schon ewig nicht mehr als Gast so gefühlt, als ob ich am besten nicht da sein sollte! Mein Bier zum Beispiel war schal und die Bedienung äußerte sich auf meinen Wunsch nach einem neuen, sehr sonderbar.... Der Chef ist bestimmt ganz nett, allerdings nur zu Leuten die er kennt..... Ansonsten gab es keine Höflichkeitsfloskeln, kein fragen ob es geschmeckt hat... Also für mich kein Grund, da jemals wieder hinzugehen. Dazu haben auch die vielen Achtung, Hinweis und Regel Hinweise beigetragen. Ich habe mich ja gefühlt, wie in der Schule.

Ich bin erstaunt das es im lieben Leipzig solch eine tolle Stätte des Gastes gibt! Ihr habt mich abgeholt, in einem Lokal das mich an die schönsten Zeiten des Lebens erinnert, authentisch und wie bei Mama. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und auch sehr reichlich! Macht genau so weiter, denn soetwas wie ihr seit Rarität, nett, gutes Essen, fetziges Ambiente, coole Gäste und das alles einzigartig! Danke für die Zeit bei euch, ich komme wieder...

Die Gaststätte Ostende liegt idyllisch in einer Gartensparte und überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Das Essen ist super lecker und frisch zubereitet. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Servicekräfte: schnell, aufmerksam und immer für einen lockeren Spruch zu haben – hier wird auch gerne mal ein kleines Späßchen gemacht, was für eine angenehme Atmosphäre sorgt. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist der schöne Freisitz, der zum entspannten Verweilen im Grünen einlädt – gerade bei gutem Wetter ein echtes Highlight. Ich kann das Ostende nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und jedem ans Herz legen, dort einmal essen zu gehen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! 👍🏼👌🏼

Super Gaststätte, nette Bedienung, reichliche leckere Portionen, auf Sonderwünsche wird eingegangen und bei Kindern liegt eine Überraschung mit neben dem Teller. Wir kommen gern wieder.

You're always in good hands with Karsten. We've been there several times and have always been impressed. The food is freshly cooked, so if it's busy, it can take a while. But the staff keep you updated and try to fill the time as best they can. Ultimately, the kitchen does its best and conjures up the most delicious food in no time. And what I like is good food at good prices. Now that it's getting colder, you should reserve a table. What I would like is a different dessert selection—yes, it's classic, but it doesn't impress anyone anymore. But the question is whether anyone else will accept it, and it's also more work. Like French toast or delicious porridge, which would also suit grandma. 😁

We stopped off in Leipzig today on our way back and stumbled upon this gem. We received wonderful service, were well looked after, and had a delicious meal. We're continuing our journey completely satisfied.

A garden restaurant, after all. Prices are pretty steep, but the food was beautifully presented.

We had a delicious Sunday lunch on a bike ride at this restaurant located on the edge of the KGV (community association). The patio (also known as a beer garden or outdoor terrace) is well-spaced (anyone over 1.80 m tall will know this), and the service was very friendly and attentive – a truly pleasant experience. The food – a garden shovel and the daily special "Grützwurst" – was delicious and, true to the motto "Grandma cooks here," just the right size. We loved it and will be back again.

We've been to the Ostende restaurant several times, most recently for a family celebration. We were always very satisfied; the owner is always friendly and has a sympathetic ear for his guests. We'd love to come back, especially for the parties. A summer party at the garden club is planned soon.

It could be a cozy garden restaurant if the chef didn't think he was the king of the world. There's zero empathy. The only reason it even gets two stars is because the staff tries their best despite everything.

Here cook grandma! This motto is authentically implemented in the Ostend restaurant. We were in a separate event room for my father's 70th birthday and had booked a buffet (see pictures)! Everything was great, we were completely satisfied :) Many thanks to the whole team. We'll be back...

Yesterday we were in this rustic restaurant for the first time with 11 people. The food was super tasty and wonderfully prepared. The service was super friendly and quick, high praise. August 22, 2021 Once again we are guests at home and take a break at the Elli's on vacation. Today, Sunday, it occurred to Dad, we could go to “Grandma cooks here”. Mom called shortly after "4 ren" to reserve 6 places for us. The two have been here several times for bingo, celebrations, food, wine or beer. Food was very tasty and came very quickly. There were very original cookies to say goodbye. A few nice hours, the weather didn't matter. We'll definitely see each other again soon. Many thanks to the nice team and Karsten 🤗... Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre wird hier geboten. Man wird hier schnell versorgt und hat das Gefühl, alte Freunde um sich zu haben. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Classic, good middle-class restaurant in an allotment garden. Correspondingly nice ambience and great to linger, especially in summer weather! “It tastes like grandma’s!” is the motto and you can taste it too! Full recommendation! We'd love to come back. But you should reserve in advance - especially when the weather is nice!

We returned to the Ostend restaurant after a very long time. The food tastes good, is plentiful, the service is very friendly, the atmosphere is just right, and don't forget our little guests/children. You can move freely, play area, walk around without a car coming. Depending on the weather, there is room outside anyway... Any time...

Quite okay for a garden restaurant, the food is good and plentiful, a little too much pork and not enough poultry or beef and vegetarian on the menu, that could definitely be achieved with little effort

So I have to say that hospitality wasn't that important there. Urkrostitzer is advertised but it is 100% not. The food tasted good, but it wasn't what it used to be.

We were a little late but the service was super nice. The food is great, the menu is small but the food tastes really good. The portion of roast roast was a bit small, but the schnitzel dish was super large and the pork loin was super tender.

Back on site after years, the food still tastes delicious and there is enough on the plate. It got full from 6 p.m. Highly recommended, we'll be back with family and friends in June.

The Ostend in Leipzig is simply great. We are from Bremen and always enjoy visiting it. It's cozy, offers very, very good food at great prices. No matter what you eat. You can tell that it was made with dedication. From the staff to the boss, everyone was great!!! There is even food for the dog. It's simply wonderful. We always enjoy going there.

So this is about “Omi’s” snack bar in front of the metro in Leipzig. Let's start with the "positive", the ambience. Just a snack. But it's not possible to look inside the car, everything is installed, blocked up and looks more like a ticket office from 40 years ago. Service, absolutely nothing special, just "please", "yes" and "3.50"... Food... Oh God, and in front of the wholesale market where colleagues might also stop and need a quick bite. I had boulette with rolls. Dripping fat, unseasoned slice of meat, cut flat. LOWWARM in the microwave, trimmed with a Miniklex mustard. End of story, nothing to add. Taste poor, quality poor. Honest opinion? Lock it up! Even so, the single-layer napkin was soaked like after wiping out the schnitzel pan...

Great restaurant with friendly staff who, despite a full restaurant, don't lose track of everything and keep an eye on everything. It was a “random hit” for us. Really eat like grandma's. Price performance is very good. The staff takes care of every guest and asks every now and then whether everything is okay. Unfortunately it is very rare to find. Actually there should be 10 stars here. If we were in Leipzig again, we would stop there again in a heartbeat. 2 happy Berliners 😃👍

Was there on New Year's Eve with friends. I had already visited this location in the summer with friends, in the beer garden. And I would like to say, I really liked it again. The service, I think the junior manager, was extremely friendly and professional and the kitchen, good, typical home cooking from the region. A place to feel good, you like it, it tastes good, it's fun and the price/performance ratio is always right. New Year's Eve was very nice, it was fun and we were well provided with food, drink and good entertainment. Thanks to the OMA team and the great turn of the year

A garden restaurant for the warmer season where you can sit outside. A bit noisy inside. That's why Grandma cooks, and really well. Gladly again in summer.

Diese gemütliche Gaststätte befindet sich etwas versteckt in einer Kleingartenanlange und würde ich als Geheimtipp bezeichnen. Das Konzept ist eine gutbürgerliche Küche gemixt mit lustigen Sprüchen und freundlichem Personal. Die Speisen sind teilweise kreative Abwandlungen bekannter Gerichte und sind sehr lecker. **Ambiente** Die Location ist ziemlich groß, bietet mehrere abgetrennte Räume, einen sonnigen Freisitz sowie einen großen Spielplatz für Kinder. Die Preise sind moderat. Da man Aufgrund fehlender Netzabdeckung nicht mit EC zahlen kann gibts 1 Stern Abzug.

Wir waren das erste mal hier, auf Empfehlung. Das Essen war sehr gut, der Teich-Teller ( Lachs mit Brokkoli und kaiserkroketten) kann ich nur empfehlen.

Sehr angenehmes/gemütliches Ambiente. Der nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen! Das Lokal ist etwas abgelegen nahe einer Kleingarten Anlage. Preis-Leistung ist ok.
