We came here again during the week with a group (10-12 people) and had a room just for us. It's a long-established restaurant with a quaint, cozy feel. The atmosphere might not be for everyone, but I like it. It's not all that newfangled stuff. Drinks and food came fairly quickly. The food was very tasty. Everything is reasonably priced. We'll definitely go here again. You should reserve a table, though.

Today, I spontaneously decided to go to Michael Nolzen's for dinner. A phone call was enough, seats were available, and twenty minutes later we were there, and I was absolutely thrilled with what we were offered. A short wait, you just have to be lucky, the portions were very large and incredibly delicious...Schnitzel "Düsseldorf Style," very tender, and special requests were no problem at all. PERFECT SERVICE. Quaint and totally cozy, super clean, and perfectly maintained. The furnishings—some might call it old-fashioned and out of date, but finally, something old to remember and cherish. THE good old days. Super nice, friendly senior manager :-), friendly service, very attentive, prompt, and customer-oriented. The three ladies rock the place!!! The junior manager in the kitchen cooks super delicious, home-style cooking, just like grandma used to make. A journey back in time that was worth it; I'll definitely be back. If you want to experience it for yourself, come by and enjoy yourself. I wish everyone all the best in their business and health, and hope that we can enjoy this wonderful restaurant for many years to come. A long-established restaurant in Wuppertal. We were there for the first time because we were told you have to go there. You should reserve a table. The ambience is nice. The service was quick and friendly. The food was super tasty. Very good German cuisine. The prices were good too. Definitely recommended.

The food was good. Service was also fine and the atmosphere is rustic. We were there with 14 men and left some really good money lying there. Instead of a “nice of you to visit me” the bottle of Asbach (given to the birthday child) for fun is snatched from the table with the words “we want to earn the money”. Unfortunately, you noticed relatively quickly what makes the store tick. The campaign is the reason to stop going there after paying a bill of more than 600 euros. I doubt whether this campaign was worth it.

Yes, nostalgic restaurant like from my childhood. The food was very good. Everything is freshly prepared, no convenience food like you often get in home-style restaurants today.

Wir haben die Gaststätte Nolzen nach Voranmeldung an 23.02.2025 abends besucht gemütlich sieht anders aus, das Essen ist nicht wirklich raffiniert dafür sind die Portionen groß der Service OK die Preise im oberen Bereich für eine Gaststätte wie diese (Krüstchen und Schnitzel mit Champions und Beilage zwei Getränke 50 Euro). Wir werden wohl kein zweites mal kommen.

We were there on February 7th. there in the evening with 6 people. 4 of them for the first time. It tasted great, all special requests were fulfilled precisely and we were well looked after. We were impressed by the friendliness of the service and the attention. There are people with heart and joy in what they do. We'll definitely come back. VG

The food is recommended. For me personally it was a little too salty. It is an old restaurant that still has the charm of the past. Fast and friendly service. The atmosphere could be a little nicer. But it's always busy and you have to make a reservation.

A rustic restaurant with excellent home-style cuisine at really fair prices. There are lots of little things and a large selection of vegetarian dishes. Friendly and attentive service. We had a family celebration with 11 people here and everyone loved it! Always my pleasure!

Very friendly contact when making the reservation by telephone. We then ate Cordon Bleu and Schnitzel “Düsseldorfer Style”, both very tasty. Added to this was the nice service - we will definitely come back

After a walk along the dam, the Nolzen restaurant invites you to dine very well with its home-style cuisine. A draft beer rounds off the afternoon perfectly. I hope we can enjoy walks like this for a long time 😍

Immer wieder ein Hochgenuss da hin zu gehen um zu Essen, da kann man wirklich nix sagen. Preislich sehr gut. (Ich als Kind damals mit Opa und Papa schon Da hingegangen nach Talsperrenbesuch) Der Gastraum wirkt urig und sehr gemütlich. Lohnt sich echt zu besuchen. Aber ich rate ein Tisch zu reservieren, (Gerade am Wochenende, einfach spontan dahin kommen keine Chance) denn der Gastraum ist nicht sehr gross und die Tische sind schnell ausgebucht.

Ein sehr schönes altes bergisches Restaurant, Traditionelle geführt, sehr leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal. Immer wieder gern.

Wenn man früher als Teenie in den Achtzigern mit seiner Oma Sonntags Essen gegangen ist, sah es genauso aus wie hier. Kann man ja auch mal mit Humor sehen. Das Essen ist super lecker, hatte total zartes Schweinefilet. Sehr aufmerksamer Service, insgesamt empfehlenswert.

Wer bodenständige deutsche Küche mag, der ist hier richtig. Wir waren mit unserem Mädelsstammtisch dort und alle waren begeistert. Ob Heringsstipp, Schnitzel oder ein Pfifferlingsgericht: Das Essen war mega lecker und alles super frisch. Die Bedienung war sehr sympathisch und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich rustikal. Heute mit 2 guten Freundinnen gut gegessen und unterhalten. Es war voll. Daher war die Akustik manchmal etwas laut. Ansonsten gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Tolles authentisches Restaurant. Gut bürgerliche Küche. Für Kinder gibt es eine eigene Karte zum ausmalen und als Nachtisch ein Eis.

Traditionsgastätte in Bergischem Fachwerkhaus. Nur der Biergarten ist für Rollstuhlfahrer erreichbar. Gute, bürgerliche Küche. Menueportionen, bei großem Hunger, zusätzlich Suppe, Vorspeise oder Nachspeise wählen. Freundliche Bedienung. Wenn die Kegelbahn belegt ist, kann es im Biergarten etwas lauter werden. Unbedingt reservieren. Ich werde wiederkommen.

Es gibt sie noch, die von der Familie betriebene Gaststätte... klassische Gerichte, super lecker und gerne auch als kleine Portion... liebevoll in Ruhe gezapftes Bier, auch in 0,2 l Gläsern... sehr freundlicher Service... urige Räume im historischen Haus ... wir kommen gerne bald wieder ... nach einer Wanderung um die in der Nähe liegende Ronsdorfer Talsperre

Eine typische, seit Generationen familiengeführte bürgerliche Gaststätte mit entsprechender Speisekarte. Sowas gilt hierzulande fast schon als ausgestorben. Mein Rat: schnell hingehen und lange bleiben, bevor auch hier die Lichter ausgehen. Speisen und Getränke exzellent. Service kompetent und unglaublich freundlich !

Hervorragende Küche. Das Essen schmeckt einfach immer sehr gut. Das Restaurant selbst ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eventuell mal ein wenig Auffrischung bekommen. Trotzdem immer wieder sehr gerne dort.

In der Gaststätte Nolzen geht es rustikal und gutbürgerlich zu. Ohne Reservierung hat man kaum eine Chance, einen Tisch zu ergattern. Der Service ist familiär, das Essen ist lecker und die Portionen sind ordentlich. Der Küchenstil ist bergisch-rustikal. Neben Pfannekuchen gibt es auch viele Schweineschnitzelvariationen. Besonders raffinierte Kreationen sollte man nicht erwarten, somit ist "befriedigend" eigentlich etwas zu schlecht, aber für "sehr gut" fehlt genau diese Raffinesse noch etwas.

Hier findet man ein eine Gaststätte mit bodenständiger Küche in immer wirklich gleich guter Qualität. Die Schnitzel sind fantastisch, wie auch andere Gerichte der Karte, z.B. der Matjes, das Roastbeef oder die Kottenbutter. Nochmal, es ist keine Spitzengastronomie. Aber, das was auf den Tisch kommt ist SPITZE! Das Ambiente ist einfach und gepflegt. Die Bedienung freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend. Es empfiehlt sich, falls man um 19.00 Uhr essen will, zu reservieren.

Ich bin seit 2012 regelmäßig zu Gast und bisher immer zufrieden gewesen. Hier gibt es die besten Schnitzel und auch die anderen Speisen müssen keinen Vergleich scheuen. Der zuvorkommende Service und das gemütliche Ambiente runden das Angebot ab.
