A first-class visit. The beer is delicious, the service is friendly, and the outdoor area is very pleasant. The meat—we both had venison—was divine, super tasty and fresh, cooked to perfection, with a wonderfully flavorful side dish. The portions are huge, and the price is worth every penny for the quality we received. We were very satisfied! A culinary highlight all around :)

The shoulder of pork, schnitzel, and tenderloin in chanterelle sauce were very, very tasty. The meat was particularly tender. The salad was made with lots of love and tasted like grandma's.

I came here by chance, because unlike the Wittelsbacher Hof, you can't get in without a reservation. Reasonable prices (€17.50) for a breaded turkey schnitzel with croquettes and a super-sized salad plate included. Very tasty food that arrived quickly. Simply excellent value for money. Overall, a pleasant and shady atmosphere, simply top-notch.

Our bike tour brought us here, and we were absolutely thrilled. Great food and very friendly staff. I highly recommend the liver sausage. There's also an in-house butcher shop, so you can pick up some great meat to take home.

If you want to eat Franconian dishes, then you'll definitely get your money's worth here. In case of intolerances, the response is good. The price-performance ratio is definitely right and I've always been full.

As soon as we entered the entrance area we were greeted by a cloud of cigarette smoke as the smokers were smoking inside the building next to the entrance door instead of outside the door. For me as an asthmatic, an absolute no-go! Unfortunately, the food itself didn't get any better. The carp chips did not consist of finely cut fillet, as I know from other restaurants, but of thick, elongated pieces. Unfortunately, the taste didn't make up for it either, as the carp wasn't watered enough for my taste and therefore tasted like "fish". The fries that were served with it didn't really go well with it either. Overall, the whole thing was far too dry. So unfortunately I didn't like it. Except for the salad, which was good.

We went here for dinner during our 2024 summer vacation. We liked it a lot. The food is delicious, the portions are large, and the price is reasonable. The beers are delicious on tap. The service was quick, there were many service staff on site. The menu can be viewed on the homepage. In addition to Franconian dishes, there are other alternatives, including seasonal dishes. We really enjoyed it and can only recommend a visit to the Black Eagle. You will have a delicious meal there and a lovely evening.

The black eagle is worth a trip, that's Franconian hospitality. Unfortunately, the Brombachsee is otherwise characterized by fast food and industrial food.

We ate there and what can I say, the food was the best I've eaten in a long time. A great afternoon at the Brombachsee and then this restaurant was recommended to us by Google... a great TIP!!! The atmosphere was great and everything was very clean. The only thing I or we have to complain about is the service, which was more than unfriendly. It seemed to us as if she had no interest in people and zero joy in what she did. But it was really only one and the others were very friendly... but that's still why points are deducted. If we are in the area again we will come back because of the great food...

The quality and freshness of the meat would have been twice as much in the States. I can't say much of the flavor as I am new to Bavaria meals and culinary style. I can, however, speak from an educated stance of quality. And this is quality. The meal was delicious in its own merits. I was pleased, and I am full.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. You might think pancake soup wouldn't be anything special, but it was really the best I've eaten so far. The Hirschschäufele with dumplings and salad was also very tasty. Very friendly staff. Conclusion: fair prices for good quality.

Eine wirklich lauschige Location mit sehr ansprechendem Biergarten und auch aussagekräftiger Speisekarte. Allein das von uns in freudiger Erwartung gewählte Wildschwein passte für uns als Wildkenner und Liebhaber weder im Aussehen noch im Geschmack und wir würden dies einem üblichen Schweinbraten zuschreiben. Extremely hospitable atmosphere and delicious meals. The size is hard to manage but the taste is much more important. We had carp, lumberjack steak, wild garlic soup, wild garlic burger and roast wild boar. Everyone was happy and we would go there again at any time

Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist typisch fränkische Küche. Würde aber raten vorher zu reservieren.

Das Essen war top. Man merkt das eine Metzgerei dabei ist. Ich habe drei Tage vorher telefonisch reserviert und wollte um 18 Uhr zum Essen kommen. Antwort war entweder 17 Uhr oder 19 Uhr. Ich habe 17 Uhr gewählt an einem Mittwoch. Wir kamen pünktlich um 17 Uhr hin, Gaststätte komplett leer. Kann kein Mensch verstehen. Auch beim Essen servieren kein guten Appetit. Meine Empfehlung: lassen sie die Gäste auch um 18 Uhr kommen und dann klappt dass mit dem guten Appetit sucht.

Hatten den Tipp von einheimischen aus Pleinfeld (Danke dafür für das nette Ehepaar im Freibad Pleinfeld für den Tipp) Service super freundlich und auch Änderungen der Beilagen kein Problem. Essen war super lecker, große Portionen. Schon lange nicht mehr so zufrieden gewesen beim Essen. Da wird noch richtig gekocht und keine Fertigsoßen und Rinderbrühe sehr kräftig, wie man es von Oma kennt. Preis-Leistung einfach nur Top. Da bekommt man noch was für sein Geld. Hatten für 4 Erwachsene und drei Kinder 106€ bezahlt und waren alle satt (einen Tag zuvor hatten wir in einem anderen Restaurant für 2 Erwachsene und zwei Kinder 90€ bezahlt und waren nicht satt. Mussten beim ersten Besuch wieder gehen, da es keinen freien Platz mehr gab (unsere Schuld, hätten ja reservieren können) haben dann gleich für den nächsten Tag reserviert. Das empfehle ich vor dem Besuch auf jeden Fall, da es ein gut besuchter Gasthof ist. Definitiv weiter zu empfehlen und werden auch wieder hingehen, wenn wir dort Urlaub machen.
